For a casual game with no competitive scene, meaning there is no reason not to try and tweak the numbers or effects every so often, they are being extremely slow and careful for no reason. As it was mentioned by Throwaway123, they only had 20 perks worked on for the past year, which is unacceptably slow in my opinion. There is no risk playing around with perks and trying new things.

Here comes my second argument then, overhauling perks is too bothersome and tedious for devs. Remember that time when they "changed" (more like nothing actually changed) like 3 perks for mid chapter balance? Imagine how long it would take them to go over each perk? Sucks, but from the looks of it, they are not focused on reworking the perks. Lazy, extremely lazy.

Unfortunately this would make people cry even more than they already do and devs don't want to face with it, I guess? Game has been extremely stale for the past god knows how long and "New killer + new survivor + awful perks" became a common recipe, which does not add any fun to the game for me anymore.

Same. They definitely threw their own lore out the window “Claudette is not the outgoing type” .... and yet she look like she ready to hit the streets.
They should have gone more science urban and not thot urban.
When people like you will realize that LORE is nothing but a small non-important part of this game which developers have no interest at. If people like you want some LORE in the videogame where you do gens while killer is trying to kill you, maybe try some other game?

If the game was released in 2001 and you were not exposed to it back in the day, hopefully not for your age reason in this case this conversation is over, then your opinion becomes subjective. Silent hill 2 was very influential and Pyramid Head was at its center.

Imagine thinking that red ranks represent your "wisdom" and "knowledge", when we have blendets crouching around the map in red ranks. Please, only your "from red rank killer and survivor" alone makes me not read your post.

I would also add perks like "Disable the gen for 5 minutes", "Imprison the survivor until the end of the match on hit" and "Have a 50% chance of destroying all the pallets on the map at the start of the trial".

After reading replies under this post, I understood the level of the majority of players sitting on dbd forums. You guys need to go out of your way one day and open your eyes for a second or two.

Almost like devs barely update things in this game. Still don't understand how slow they are given their team size.

He's not Huntress/mobility killers, people need to get out of that mindset. He can't snowball efficiently and thoroughly. You can go out of your way to run around the map and get good enough with your shots (good luck on dedicated servers, good luck on console) to down people fast enough to maybe outspeed gens, but the much safer (and much more effective) option is to control one area of the map with a mix of M&A stealth, slugging (slug baiting, really), and strategic PGTW usage. I can't win a game as Clown to save my life no matter what I do, but Deathslinger I understand. Getting better with his gun just makes him more lethal over time.
The problem, as I stated in my original post, is in fact his gun. Missing a single shot you have can be game changing and I don't necessarily agree that getting better at shooting with him is the way to go. Nurse can correct herself with the second blink she has, Huntress can correct herself after missing the hatchet, all of these killers are 110 and they need "second chance to correct for the missed first attempt" since they have a hard time catching up to survivors by chasing them.

Agreed. Spent 9000 shards on him and, man, would I love to get a refund.
Not only is he too slow, but everything he does slows him down even more (reeling the chain, aiming, reloading, getting stunned if the chain breaks). Playing him is rather frustrating, as you get gen rushed like crazy, and, having no map pressure, there's nothing you can do about it.
Unless they do something about it, I'll consider the Deathslinger a huge disappointment. Looks good on paper, but he's too weak (mid tier at best).
Agree with you on this as well. Everything about him is slow, and as we all know, speed of action/power is what plays a huge role in dictating the power of the killer in my opinion. Look at Oni, HB, nurse, spirit.

Ranking system is non-existent in this game and unfortunately a guy who sits on a gen every single game, hides from the killer and escapes will get to red ranks easier than a player who interacts with a killer and runs them around.

Its okay people, devs will read all of this and probably implement something polar opposite of what has been asked after few years.

Based on your opinion and the amount of knowledge it shows, I can hardly take you seriously. If you do not believe that a Nurse in the hands of a good player can end the game in the matter of seconds, then you indeed haven't spent enough time playing the game or never met good Nurses before. Everything you said about pallets and "brake the chase and hide" tactic are the main triggers for me to think about you in the way I do. -

My definition of "fun" in DBD is not to play against a good nurse who does not give a single f about pallets, windows and any other construction, such as jungle gym. Who can instantly gain the distance you've gained in the matter of two seconds. Take billy, for example, yes, he can gain the distance as well, but it takes time to charge his chainsaw and it takes more time for him to reach you. I have spent over a thousand of hours in this game (it might not be a lot for 2k+ hours players, but I think its enough to claim that I do know the game mechanics). It does not matter how much you know the game and all of its aspects. You simply can not counter a good Nurse, period. If you disagree with my statement, you might be the one playing on low ranks, not me. -

If you don't enjoy playing against a good killers then you can just stay in lower ranks.Besides buffs and nerfs won't help that much. You can have insta hachets with all the best perks and lose or you can play as Freddy without perks and add-ons and get 4k. It all depends mostly on how well you know game mechanics and characters abilities not on buffs, nerfs, perks or add-ons. Generally speaking it depends on your intelligence.
I enjoy playing against good killers myself. My point is that, for some reason, devs are passing by the Nurse, who is definitely way above any other killer in the game. Of course, she does take more skill to play her good. But tell me that, do you think there is a difference between a good nurse or a good billy/huntress? Are these match ups equally same for survivors? I do not think so. Nurse, by her core design, is omitting the whole game (pallets, windows, distance gain).
By the way, @CallMeRusty420, "gitting gud" against a good nurse is not an option.
