Its a bit unfortunate, there's a Texas chainsaw massacre that follows the four players vs a opposing side, not to bring other stuff in just saying if your interested

So you want an unfair game if someone DC's so its a 3v1 and unwinnable for the 3 with 5 gens up.
No? He's literally been stating how he wishes players to stop DC'ing, if people would stop and just play through the game then there wouldn't be any unfair games.

May be controversial but Sloppy Butcher, haven't really seen people use it as often as I did before

Only for the final survivor I'm pretty sure.
then I don't really understand why everyone is so upset about the soon change, unless I guess it messes with any sort of perks like PT or something.

Love hate. We do like the powers (they're good if not especially unique and get the job done) and despite what everyone claims about the wolf form we especially like being a good murder puppy. That said, like Vecna, he's a pain to use with a controller.
Everyone seems pretty divided on the wolf power lol, but I definitely agree with him possibly being a pain like Vecna (Ps main)

If you like pyramid head it could be interessting because he's a bit weaker but has better mobility. If you want him for the wolf form you shouldn't buy him, it's completely worthless at the moment because vampire and bat are just better together xD
What's so wrong with the wolf? I saw a little gameplay and it looks like the wolf has two lunges, and lots of mobility, even gaining mobility from these orb things.
-
Still gonna brag about this, around when Sable first came out, she purposely had me down her in basement, only for me to walk out of basement and hook her and she DC'ed immediately 😭

Another killer whose power is just a weaker version of someone else's and doesn't do anything special. Not to mention, it feels clunky (hellfire and wolf form). It's pretty disappointing, considering they could have done something original instead.
From what I saw I think they were trying to make the new Killer a bit more complicated like intended for the The Lich, but 100% went down the path you said.

They're making moris part of the base game, as a finisher to the match.
does it apply only for the final survivor or any survivor downed on second hook?
-
Is there really a point of complaining already? I can see him getting something nerfed in a month or two, not every killer releases perfectly perfect.
-
Endlessly rev my chainsaw for miles for the hell of it (The Hillbilly)

Kind of behind, what exactly is the Finisher Mori supposed to be? isn't the Mori already a finisher? sorry if I sound a bit stupid, just kind of confused.

Yes i would call it begging no other main in this game no twins main no knight main no legion main not any other mains that survivors find boring constantly makes threads asking why their main is so hated besides SM players and its literally the same thing every time "im not like the other ones i play fairly!" well congratulations but sad to say you're in the minority it's not worth it to stick around to see if you're the one nice SM out of a sea of Sewage Merchants
And just because she got nerfed doesn't mean she isn't annoying she is hands down the most annoying killer in the entire game and its quicker just to go next and yes every killer can be toxic trapper can tunnel but if he doesn't set up traps he's not gonna be doing much whereas SM can tunnel anyone freely because of how unskilled and easy her ability is to use
notice how you said "could" , NOT EVERYONE TUNNELS, and even in your confused mindset you think its "begging" its honestly understandable to want to lessen the hate on her as she is easily beatable, especially since not the entire player base is toxic or tunnels, slugs, etc.
-
@MalekithHatesSnow said:
What is with Skull Merchants begging for validation? Everyone will always hate SM just accept it don't try and corral survivors into liking or putting up with SM they never will you will never please everyone and I can say this as Knight is my second main the sooner you realise that people will hate SM forever the better stop trying to get people to like her.
Oh and it doesn't help that every SM plays in the most scummy way possible i've never met a tolerable SM ever not once
not really begging. :) "The second you realize" not every SM main plays dirty or toxic (like myself) the sooner you'll realize that theres no real need to hate her, shes been nerfed, and people such as yourself are stuck in the past, there are plenty of killers that have very similar functions, and are even much better killers to run then herself, the only reason people hate her is because of her release and toxic SM's now, which if those are the only reasons, then theres no way you can justify that "Grr! 😡 Skull Merchant make angy!" People can play toxic with literally any other killer, even trapper can tunnel.

Edit: took out the names
thank God I'm not pc lmao, and boring set up from the SM coming from a SM main, smh

i think not at all, it could create a deadzone, and on top of that, influence the survivor being slugged because they were to far away from another hook

I mostly play Xeno and Plague when I play killer but I guess your brain can't comprehend someone not agreeing with you so you have to imagine things like this.
Again I don't go against Skull Merchant very often only 2-3 times this year that I can remember but none of those games have been very difficult and I owe that to 1. Not falling to the same hysteria most of the community falls into regarding SM so I don't instantly think it's a loss, and 2. Actually studying her entire kit and understanding what she does.
Through this I very rarely get clawtraps on me unless I'm injured and it doesn't matter and I don't mind crouching through drones to get to gens as well as chaining loops together so her setting drones at loops isn't a huge deal.
I know the community will like playing against the character and I'm not really trying to convince them they should I'm just saying it's entirely possible to learn the match up and have it be not that bad.
I have a feeling a lot of it is about mindset. I'm not seething about SM1.0 ever existing, I'm very patient so the whole crouching near gens thing doesn't bother me and I'm never really thinking about how hard the things my opponent is doing are because to me that's irrelevant all that matters is they are indeed doing things and I have to figure out how to counter them.
I really feel like people hate her more of because of their toxic experiences with her like tunneling, proxy camping, slugging, etc. but the same could be said with any other killer, and I never even participate those toxic things with ANY of the killers I run, its pretty sad to see just a flood of "I hate you because another SM made me mad 😡"

The simple answer is:
- Overtuned in every way
- Every single match against her becomes tunneling at 5 gens. Even if your teammates left.
huh, that's funny because I never have in any of my games tunneled, and if I see a survivor get unhooked, I get into a chase with the survivor who unhooked said survivor, yet us other SM's get hated because of other peoples actions?

I really just change my PFP with every killer I turn to main, so far its been, Onryo, Pig, now SM (hate me 😊) and now maybe Oni

My question is why? What makes her unfun to play against currently? She drops a drone at a loop and you can either leave it or not. So she's a "leave the loop" kind of killer.
How is that any different than.
- Trapper
- Hag
- Clown
- Artist
- Dredge
- Knight
- Singularity (when you don't have emp)
thats what i've been trying to figure out lmao, and thats particularly how i play her, along with gen watch, not tunneling or anything dumb like that

because she’s super boring and the people that play this killer play her in such a nasty way. I have videos of me getting tunneled off the hook by two skull merchants back to back. F this killer
well i personally don't ever play "nasty" with her, or any other killer for that matter, i try and typically always do avoid tunneling, proxy camping, slugging, feathering, etc. I promise you not every skull merchant is nasty
-
@KingFieldShipper said:
I took roughly a year break shortly after singularity and really only started playing more and I find her unfun almost exclusively because my team still gives up or stops trying what feels like 90% of the time. But also, and this is entirely on me, I still have it nailed in my head how she used to work, and I kind of don’t really understand her power or counterplay anymore, and I feel like I haven’t been given a good opportunity to figure it out myself (which is entirely how I learn thins, and I can’t just read to understand) because of my team giving up, which also probably is a part of why too. 🤷♂️
i feel like survivors choosing to DC shouldn't be a reason to hate on a killer, whether you dislike her or not, in that aspect, its you whos making the decision to leave, not the Skull Merchant

This question has been asked millions of times by the elders of DBD on par with Plato and Socrates. Let me summarize the philosophy they graced us eons ago:
“Some things in life require greater pleasures. But I will never forget when the Skull Merchant held my game hostage for one hour. I still hate her and the pain she caused me will never let me stop hating her.”
Also, she’s boring and sucks in solo queue.
she's just personally entertaining for me, but im also insane so eh, but for survivors i could generally understand why she'd be considered boring, but to completely hating her feels a bit much, and i don't see how she could hold matches hostage when her drones and claw traps are easily hackable, even going against me (probably the last person playing her)
-
^ tbh i don't focus a whole lot on lore lol, but i guess i could see why people don't like manga dad girl turns into evil mr Krabs

Really the best you can do is save a build specifically for flashlights (or just having lightborn) when you see a SWF with flashlights, or just multiple survivors with one, or try your best to face a wall the entire time

Everyone should just start playing texas chainsaw massacre dead by daylight is so old and overrated. textures are bad, the graphics look like they running on a potato, they keep breaking the game, and mechanics the cosmetics they come out with are horrible, they just throw a bunch of crazy stuff together for a new skin etc. I stopped playing and started playing tcm, and the game is much more fun. and the lobby’s are better now, you actually have to try and survive in this game, by picking lock doors scavenging for items, it’s not just constant generator simulator with 7 year old graphics, and killers actually get to see the mori they choose every time they play a match.
I will be honest, the graphics of DBD look just like a mobile game, (ironic), but graphics doesn't really overcome gameplay and performance, TCM has been known for being buggy, and filled with exploits, DBD has had its share, but as of recently not on a same extent, along with that, theres really no satisfaction of stealth in TCM, just running around like a crazy person (more irony), and slashing people, besides all of that, you can like what you like, and have your own opinion, I just think DBD has much more to give, and imo much better.

I find these kind of threads funny as you only mention survivor toxicity…
Killers can also teabag and/or emote (nod, spin, etc), deliberately leave you to bleed out on the floor, pretend to give you hatch then close it in your face, hit you on hook… the list goes on.
instead of saying “survivors are toxic” or “killers are toxic”, can we not just universally agree that toxicity in this game isn’t exclusive to one “side”. Toxicity is bad for the game regardless of whether that’s a killer or a survivor - the side they play on has nothing to do it with it because as we’ve seen, players of both sides have shown equally toxic and unsportsmanlike behaviours, fact.
im aware, it's just as a killer main myself, who never indulges, or acts out in toxicity, its annoying.

PIG:
Perks:
Oppression, Surveillance, Corrupt and Whispers
Addons:
Combat Straps and John's Medical File
Explanation-
Use Corrupt and Whispers to find a Survivor, chase and down Survivor, put and RBT on and hook, use Oppression and Surveillance to find another Survivor and repeat
Pig's power allows her to slowdown the Gens since it takes a Survivor off of Gens until they get the RBT off… and it's even better if you get one active
Her Crouch is better so using more addons would be good
I personally really like this set-up, the add-ons i've been using Slow Release Toxin and Workshop Grease

@Agaki said:
It's because those players don't win often. This is the only game where I've seen people t-bag at the winning team. People need to get the hint, if the killer doesn't slug for the 4K then they couldn't care any less for hatch. The ones who wait out the timer are mentally not normal because they are hurting themselves to hurt the other team. Even when I follow the 'survivor rulebook', low tier killer with non meta builds, they are still doing it lol. Now I hard tunnel, camp etc cuz I still treated the same if I do not.
and sadly this is exactly what i was talking about, toxic behavior by survivors washes and reflects back onto the killers, which causes some killers to act in a similar way, i personally don't, even when survivors choose to do toxic things, but that's not the same for others, and unfortunately you as well.

T bagging on top of hatch is never not funny to me as a killer. Like I literally let you have the chance to escape. You gloating you found it is so cringe when I could of just chose to slug for the 4k and kill you.
You'll probably find way more slug for 4k games when mori finisher gets added.^ this
I've always seen it as a cringe thing, and even when i get multiple matches with it happening, i still choose not to slug, yet it's doing this that influences tunneling and slugging, which, i don't hate other killers for, just personally try to avoid doing so.

some people use custom pics for perks, I don’t know if you mean those? Can be used to change character portraits as well.
It’s basically just changing the image files to those that you want client-sides.
BHVR has stated they don’t have a problem with it and won’t go out of their way to ban those that do it BUT it’s still technically changing game files and if EAC ever bans for it BHVR won’t be able to help.
Or are you taking about the smaller perk icons that sometimes show up right next to your perk load out in game? They are smaller and either red (detrimental for you possibly cause of killer perk or addon effect) or light blue (beneficial possibly perk from teammate or boon effect)it must have been the first, all the vid's i saw where on mnk, while im a console player, just glad i finally know now lmao

I think the one time I teabagged other than to say hello to a fellow teammate, it was to get a camping Trapper away from another teammate to try and help them (oddly coordinated for solo-q, but it worked great).
Unless it's clearly that or just trying to be funny, it's 99.999999999% of the time just to bother you. Kinda the same with killers WS'ing slugged survivors, it's just ragebaiting. That's all, nothing other than trying to troll.
I just wish it wasn't tbh, as a killer main i don't ever feather (hit survivors on hook) or WS, and never indulging in toxic or unfair behavior, yet toxicity is still done in return, it's just so weird to me.

I don't know about best for Onryo, but I like piling on the secondary objectives for them to make it difficult to juggle everything at once. It gets overwhelming for them.
I'm currently at a 97.7% (roughly) win rate ( only 7 losses out of 302 games) all using the perks Devour, Undying, Haunted, and Penti.
With that win rate I'd say there's at least something good going on there.

I WAS SUMMONED!!!
As someone that has played and mained Sadako since she came out and that has mained Pig for over 2000 hours, I have a pretty good understanding of both killers and their strenght levels.
Both are extremely similar. I would put them both right next to each other in upper c tier.
Both have a high strategical skill ceiling with Sadako being more lethal and Pig being more focussed on slowdown.
Pig is a lot simpler to get into but at their best, Sadako is a bit better. I main both foor the same reason. They offer unique gameplay that no other killer provides.
In the end this comes doown to what the player prefers. A more lethal secondary power or a more slowdown oriented secondary power. Pig has better chase while Sadako has very good map mobility.
Im open for any questions.
also what perk set-up do you use personally for both Onryo and Pig?

i 100% agree, but i feel like pig's reverse bear traps are better then Onryo's Condemned simply because for me its so damn hard to get full condemned, compared to the pressure applied with Pig's reverse bear traps, added long with add-on's making it even better imo

Just sat through yet another one of these awful types of games, and I'm scratching my head as to why BHVR doesn't fix this, since it would be such an easy fix.
It was a close game, the survs did 4 gens, but I managed to kill 2, so there were 2 survivors left.
The 2 survivors proceeded to just hide, and continued to hide for 20 mins.
Not a gen was touched in that entire 20 mins, so I'm left twiddling my thumbs. I can't search the whole map, all the have to do is hide behind something and move slightly to avoid crows.
So I'm thinking to myself, why doesn't BHVR fix it? It is such an easy fix. Here you go: If a survivor has not interacted with a generator for more than 5 minutes (and has not been involved in a chase in that 5 minutes) they get the crow effect. Simple. Fixed.
They know what they're doing. They know they're holding the game hostage and wasting time. It's not fun, and it's even worse than the old-fashioned hatch stand offs because as a killer I literally cannot end it. I have to wait for them to stop hiding.
Please please please fix this, because I'm absolutely sick of this wasted time, and, while fairly rare, it does happen more often than you might think.
Happened to me too on Eerie of Crows as Onryo, waited even longer, 40 minutes, until they finally came out and worked on a gen, ended off with a 3k.

Pretty much all of this.
Bad chase, laughable condemn mechanic, worthless stealth. Sure, she has decent map mobility, but that doesn't matter if she sucks at everything else. She's a slightly better M1 killer, but she needs a lot of help right now.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3724026#Comment_3724026
They need to turn her back to her 2.0 version, with some changes here and there. Let her stay bad in chase and boost her macro game and map-wide pressure. Condemn and TVs should be an actual threat rather than a minor inconvenience.
Not EVERY killer needs to be chase focused.
im not sure what you mean by "Every" killer, especially not Onryo, she's horrid in chase, coming from a Onryo main

Yeah I have the same mind set. I don't like playing anything that's popular. That's one of the reasons I like Onryo, as well as that I enjoy more macro oriented killers rather than micro. Most killers these days are pushed heavily into the micro play. I just don't enjoy anti loop killers in general as the play style is all the same. She's also a completely different play style than most killers who on average I think play pretty similar. She's better than people think as well.
I don't perform that well with anti loop killers anyways, (or ranged killers :')…) and already have a lot of map knowledge, making use of macro plays, i've never been a huge fan of the constant use of killers as, sure, it may be fun, for maybe 2 or 3 matches, it gets repetitive, as you said, i'm just worried the Lich is going to end up falling into that micro category
-
@Blueberry I totally agree, it's just a like the idea of her being like a high risk, high reward type killer, like running DIstressing, her ambush is super useful and feels like a hybrid of hillbilly and wesker, and getting a sacrifice with her reverse bear traps are pretty satisfying
-
@Blueberry said:
Think of Pig kinda like Onryo if you didn't have a teleport and couldn't see her TV's but you're still trying to micro manage them from dropping tapes or picking them up by memorizing all the TV spawn points on every single map since they aren't shown to you. Would that be doable? Yeah, kinda. Is it practical or realistic? Not really.
still, I like thinking of running pig like running distressing, high risk, high reward, and its super satisfying getting a sacrifice with her reverse bear traps

Must be because of the items / Prestige’s. Out of every 100 survivor matches I would say the killer leaves probably 10-15 times. And who knows if it’s because the lobby or maybe they had to go do laundry or something.
I think lobby shopping is also overblown too. 7 out of every 10 matches I play has a minimum of 1 P100. 5 out of 10 of my matches have a TTV in them. I’ve had multiple P400 lobbies and I never dodged any of them. Prestige has zero indication of skill.
I used to dodge before but You'll never get better if you dodge the good players. You can learn a lot from sweaty players on the fly. It’s a very good way of learning and if they are cracked and you do beat them it feels great. But if you lose it doesn’t feel terrible either because they have 10,000 more hours than you lol.this ^
Theres a big difference between (Skill) and (Experience) they aren't by any means the same, and I don't ever duck a P100 squad because even if they are a SWF squad, they're prestige means nothing and are typically not the best performed, i've even lost again just P3 survivors.

Oddly enough flashbangs have never been a problem to me, and i don't use Lightborn, which if is that bad of an issue, would run, Flashbangs have a small timer, but from what i've seen a small blindness radius, so if you see or hear them drop it, just try turning away as fast as possible, or facing a wall or any other object when picking up a survivor
-
I was playing Onryo on Eerie of Crows, and was about to hook a survivor, they failed to flashlight me, so a already injured P100 Leon goes to body block me, so I hit him, and he gets downed, and DC's instantly, without ever being hooked, not even the person I originally was carrying DC'ed, another time I was playing Wesker on Autohaven, and a Sable walked down to basement, without any hooks, and got downed, knowing she was a Sable I walked out of basement and hooked her, and she DC'ed instantly, why?
