I believe that the speed was never the issue - he was actually the same speed as before but the FOV caused it to look much slower, so there looked like there was no speed increase during Frenzy

Frank, Julie, Susie, Joey or "The Legion" are one of 22Killers currently featured inDead by Daylight . They were introduced as the Killer of CHAPTER X: Darkness Among Us, a Chapter DLC released on 11 December 2018. 1 Overview 2 Lore 3 The Legion's Perks 4 Load-out 4.1 Weapon: Hunting Knife 4.2 Power: Feral Frenzy 4.2.1 Power Trivia 4.3 Add-ons for Feral Frenzy 5 Achievements 6 Customisation 6.1 Default 6.2 Prestige 6.3 Special 6.4 Event 6.5 Archives 6.6 In-Game Store 6.6.1 Outfits 6.6.2 Masks 6.

Even this says it should move at an increased rate while in Frenzy.

  • I think it should disable once fully healed or doing some other objective (generator, totem) for at least 3 seconds. This slight nerf should be enough IMO.

  • If I find a totem quickly, I cleanse it first, as I usually run Inner Strength instead of Self-Care. Also touching a gen to check if there's Ruin. Then fixing the first gen, or if it's not too far, a higher priority gen, until Spine Chill lights up, then stealthy-stealthy.

  • Well, if they would add nerf to SWF groups, then I just couldn't play with my friends, because we're not boosted or toxic at all, just playing for fun.

So yes, it would definitely solve one problem, but create another for the average SWF players.

As a killer what I do, is that I wait for the last gen to pop - try to do some of my objectives meanwhile - , and then I go to the exit gate and open it to trigger the end-game collapse.

  • Report a bug in the appropriate section instead of the whining.

  • And if you'd like to play strategic killer, I'd say The Hag is the best choice.

  • I would say Legion.

I think they are really fun to play from both sides. It's fun to stab everybody, has a small stall potential because of the necessity for mending, and if they start to heal, they'll waste precious time. Especially if you can use Ruin, it's really fun. Just know when to cancel your power.

My perk build for Legion: Ruin (for slowing the game, just a little bit), BBQ (to know where they are healing -> stab-stab), Spies from the Shadows (helps a lot with chases), Discordance (to know where the stab-stab is really necessary).

And I think it's fun to play against as a survivor, because they are a balanced killer, securing an eventful play, and even if you cannot get out, it was fun for me every time.

  • I'm also happy with the patch and all the work and effort they are putting into the game.

No software will be bug-free, I know that, I'm a developer myself. And not every user will be happy, and that's alright. The loudest users are usually the minority.

This patch was a good step towards some truly needed balance (saying as mixed player).

So I don't know if any Developer or Community Manager will read this, but thanks for your enthusiasm and transparency made with the Q&A sessions.

    • Yes
    • Yes
    • Sure, even though I like playing stealth killers. The other day, some survivors complained that they died against me as Pig. Just bring Spine Chill.
    • Positive - I include Spine Chill in all of my perk builds, I truly think it's one of the strongest perk, gives so much information about any killer.
  • I also had some success with the hit'n'run style. Get them injured, then bump into them.

  • I think the addons need a complete rework. Most of them are worthless, illogical.

Also the cooldown time is insanely long, even with the addons (addon rework needed).

Other than that, Legion is fine.

  • I still support the idea of the Trial Warmup, while gen speeds remaining the same, as well as new ruin is fine as it is. Also, I'm happy about the upcoming toolbox changes, gives opportunity for more strategic gameplay, while also nerfes gen rushing, just a little bit. Maybe a little nerf for additive repair speed I could imagine.

  • Every chapter or mid-chapter comes with LOADS of bugfixes or other type of improvements. Read the patch-notes.

  • From a survivor point of view, the gen times seem fine for me. More would feel like an M1 simulator, less would feel not enough of a challenge. However, I could imagine some more perks which would modify the speeds in some cases from the survivor side:

I like the idea of using the totem system for some benefits (like in case of Inner Strength), that cleansing a totem would add some speed for some time or such, but only if you do a generator alone.

Or some perk that slows regression if there'd be any (survivor can also protect the gen), maybe with the payoff, that it'd be highlighted for the killer for some time.

From the killer point of view, the base generator time is fine, what is not fine if they are powering through them together. Even without Prove Thyself, already 3 survs can do a gen in an insane amount of time. Also, I miss the setup time for Hag (with old Ruin, I was (almost) Hag main). With these points in mind:

I think, there could be a built-in Discordance, but not for two, but 3-4 survs working together on a gen.

The more survivor work on a gen, the less added value would be there -> they would be wasting time.

Or the map generation could behave the way, that only two are able to work on a single gen.

Also, I very much like the previously mentioned idea of the "Trial Warmup", in which, generator repairs are drastically slowed down, but totem cleansing, and chest searching is speeded up, and ends as soon as the killer initiates a chase or comes in 4m proximity of a survivor. This adds some time for both sides to gear-up/set-up.

Thanks for sharing, some members of our team have seen the video.

As for myself, I like the idea but at the same time I am not 100% convince. This is that kind of stuff that needs to be disused.

Thanks for the feedback, @PatBrutal. It's good to hear a confirmation, that you started to pick-up things, and thinking about it. :)

Personally, for me, this is like a lightbulb has just activated in my head. :D So simple, yet amazing idea, and benefitial for both sides. Ofc needs some/lot adjustments on perks side as well, but maybe this is a kind of thing a 3-4 years old game needs: some completely new, yet very simple part.

  • What kind of benefits do you, developers get by using dedicated servers? (like statistical data you wouldn't be able to collect otherwise)

What were your hypotheses of benefits of enabling dedicated servers, and which of them were validated / which of them turned out to be false? (btw, I really like the dedicated servers, they were a huge plus for me: constant, low ping, consistent hitbox counting)

What are the parameters for map generation/randomization (like relationship of randomized objects and must-have objects)?

How is it calculated, what could be a grab or a simple hit in the game?

What are the biggest technical challenges when implementing new behavior/mechanics in the game (like the resettable pallets or the upside-down)?

How is the dev teams working process (e.g. scrum, kanban...)?

I know I've just broke the one question per person rule, but I would be happy to hear the answer for any of these. :)

  • I think MMR is a good idea altogether, I see and agree with the points mentioned in the status update post.

Also, I hope there will be more details about the scoring system, it would be interesting to look into it more in depth.

  • I don't even see why Wraith, Legion or Doctor are on this list, IMO they are great killers if played well.

  • If they are being sh1tfaces in the post-game chat, I just send them a <3 . Works like magic, they can be furious about it, justifying the fact that they played wrong.

  • Currently ongoing Ruin nerf is the Hag's nerf... unfortunately. Hag needs setup time to be good, and that will be taken away.

But actually, Hag is really easily counterable with a flashlight and some extra caretaking.

  • There is such a perk: Flip-Flop

  • Wraith - "Ding Ding Dong, would you like some spanking too??"

    and

Pig - love the jumpscare effect of the ambush and how reverse bear traps stall the game

  • Handyman - The hours of DIY work taught you this and that. Repair great skill check success zones are 10/20/30% wider. Cleansing a totem gives you a token up to 4 tokens. For each token, you get a 5% stack-able repair speed bonus when repairing a generator alone. "I can do anything by myself, just let me handle it."

Not today - You do your best under extreme pressure. When you became injured in a chase, your speed boost lasts 1 second longer. Also, you leave no scratch marks after becoming injured for 2/3/4 seconds. "Dying here is not an option for me. Not today at least."

Robust work - Your work was always hard to mess up. When a generator you repaired before enters regression, the maximum amount of regression will be 30/20/10%. "Don't you dare ruin my work"

  • Lithe and Adrenalin

Lithe is basically an on-demand Sprint Burst, there are always things around you can fast-vault.

And Adrenalin is many times a complete game-changer.

  • Yes, but only if the killer can see them as well. Full transparency or no transparency.

It's time for a pig nerf

Why? Pig is completely counterable in chases: Pig has normal killer movement speed while standing, has a lower line of sight, so easy to lose in tall grass (and low grass if begins crouching).

Also, use Spine Chill, it's an op perk, especially against stealth killers.
