Where is SBMM?
Why do I keep getting outmatched, match after match, after match against bully SWF's and 1 survivor running me for 5 gens (no cap)??
I get it, SBMM can't always find someone at my rating quickly. In that case, match me with whoever, but give me a chance! I should be compensated!
Give survivors and killers extra perks slots. Lock them so the extra perks cannot be used in the match, unless the opponent's rating is way above theirs; the bigger the gap in rating, the more perk slots that are unlocked for the underdog.
Survivor is baby mode compared to killer. If you're not camped or tunneled i don't even know how you could be killed. You can literally play survivor and watch youtube at the same time it's so easy. Try that as a killer and you'd be destroyed

Yeah, yeah, another Dead Hard post. But I want you to sell it to me. How is this perk fair?
I played a game of Trapper today. In it, there were four dead hards. I kept track and I ate 9. How did this happen?
5 of them were from Dead Harding into a pallet. What do I do? I didn't lunge, btw, I just kept walking because I know they can react to me lunging. Swing when they end their DH before they can drop the pallet? What if they don't DH, which did happen twice? Not to mention, latency/server can make the timing borderline impossible to nail at times.
3 of them were from body blocking a hook, and obviously, waiting isn't much of an option. (to be clear, those 3 were all on the same hook/for the same survivor).
And then there was 1 in the open when I tried downing a Yui when she got off a gen while injured. Alright, that was fair.
9 Dead Hards, 5 of which I could literally do nothing, and 3 that were done in solidarity to save a teammate. Even discarding the latter, that still makes 5/9, over half, being Dead Hards I physically could do nothing about.
So how's this fair? Sell it to me. Justify it. And before you say it, Nurse and Blight being stupid strong does not justify stupidity on the other side. It just makes both stupidly strong.
The bigger problem is this game is too survivor friendly. You could literally play survivor and watch a movie at the same time. Try that as a killer and they're escaping in 5 seconds.
Finishing gens is too simple.
-
I don't care if you're playing solo or with friends, once you get a high rank Survivor is preschool baby mode compared to killer.
Survivor you can actually play around and win. High ranking killers get embarrassed after 10pm by streaming groups because survivor is pathetically easy and they need other ways to entertain themselves
-
@zumer said:
BHVR doesn't make the game appealing to survivors. State of game is such that most of the survivors cannot win. you made a side killer game. WHY?
Play killer after midnight....Survivor is Baby mode compared killer
-
survivors are the worst...toxic just to bully people
i don't camp or tunnel
and they act like they've done something amazing because they survive when in reality they play checkers and killers are playing chess...it's a completely different level
-
The fact that they have time to even attempt to troll tells you all you need to know about how easy survivor is compared to Killer. You don't have a second to breathe as a killer. You take 2 seconds to look away and gens are done

I like to break this cycle. As surv I won't tbag or torch click, and as killer i won't hit on hook or nod etc. Unless the player in question has been BMing me in which case i definitely will, because i like to see toxic players given a taste of their own medicine. But I'll never do it unprovoked, and as killer I'll pretty much always let 4th survivor go unless I'm sweating a challenge/pips or they were toxic.
Same here. As a survivor I don't even bring a flashlight because i don't like the toxic nature they cause so often. Never wait at the exit. I'll run past the teabaggers and escape. Killer feels bad enough with losing believe me.

@Rovend said:
I have not been in these so called "games where the survs pop 3/4 gens in the first chase" not even once in my entire dbd playtime.
The only times i can remember of a similar situation are when killers were purposely AFK or the killer was very new to the game and could not use their character properly.
Do you know why i havent been in these situations?
Because that kind of play are usually reserved to high MMR matches where you cant possibly reach unless you play a good swf team.
As current MMR works, it is way easier to up your mmr as killer than soloq survs. So expect constant SWF teams as you must have passed the point where you could get matched with normal soloQ players like me.
Yea it definitely seems like an exaggeration. I play trapper and i basically concede the first gen because i'm setting up my board with traps the way i need it. Sometimes conceding the first gen will mean 2 gens. I use corrupt intervention to lessen that. But i've never really had 3 on me right away and if it happens that quick it's definitely an elite team that will destroy me anyway.
-
Very interesting. I've been much happier as a killer lately.
Way less trolling these days. I just want the game to be fun both ways and this is definitely the closest it's been. If there was a way to truly eliminate campers and tunneling the game would be perfect.
Also I've always felt there should be no match making. you should just get who you get like Friday the 13th.
one match may be vs an elite killer, next may be a new player but you never know what you may encounter
-
Not bad. I also like the add on that lets you see the killers aura
I thought maybe they should make that a feature of the key instead of an add on
That's what i use them for
-
Obviously everyone hates camping. That said it wouldn't be as prevalent if playing survivor wasn't so much more incredibly easy compared to killer.
I used to complain about campers and tunnelers but honestly the game so lopsided to survivors (i mean thats where the money and the streaming is let's be real). It's not going to change. You can actually get bored as a survivor and need to find ways to entertain yourself. Try that as a killer. It's not going to go well.
-
The fact that survivors have time to think of all this extra stuff to do tells you everything you need to know about how easy survivor is compared to killer
-
I've tried to give survivors the benefit of the doubt but not only is it completely unfair & lopsided but they act like they did this huge accomplishment. Teabag & message you about how bad you are at the game.
Dude,
you're playing checkers...killer is playing chess & the board is rigged against them. I think it's time to move on. Survivors claim they want good killers & fun matches but they don't

Yeh. I've pretty much given up on playing killer period, let alone learning a new one. The clicky crews who aren't even satisfied when you stand in a corner to quit the match make me want to throw my Xbox into the street.
The worst humans alive...i'm convinced real life serial killers are nicer people

I am actually starting to believe that this is a survivor game and killers only exist to give survivors a gameplay experience. Survivors have WAY to many second chances, pallets, windows, and solid killers coming out and immediately getting nerfed.
Play an M1 killer on the meat plant map against solid survivors and the entire game is just you breaking pallets and getting nothing accomplished. 5 gens will be done you'll have maybe 2 hooks and only like 1/3 of the pallets on the map are broken.
omg....This is the most accurate statement in human history
-
Survivor is for babies
try playing killer at night...lol
-
They changed Freddy's power?
-
appreciate the kind words
-
I took yesterday completely off & so far i'm good. No desire to jump back in the mix.
like is said it's a shame because the game is fun and has plenty of entertainment value but why subject yourself to cruelty no matter how minimal?
and i am exactly the killer people want to play against. Never Tunnel and never camp. But honestly why put up with it?

Yeah the hanging out at the open doors is annoying… not sure what a solution would be. .. that’s why we have the end game collapse…I think that the door progress should go down with time… so they can’t 99 it and then just do f All prancing around till the see you and get in a chase just to come and tap a door and open it having just enough time to twerk a bit before leaving.
I guess what i don't understand and no one can explain to me is....Why is winning not good enough?
The killer you just abused feels bad enough. Why taunt them?

@T0thLewis said:
If survivors clearly win and are better at the game, they can do sound notifs and tbagging as much as they wish, I don't give two shits about it. If they obviously won (e.g. 2 hook states only and the exit gates are powered) I just open the gate, go into the corner and force them out of the game.
What I find incredibly insulting and rude is that they have to spam you with messages in the end-game chat "gg ez, noob killer, good looping grandpa, yade-yade-yada". Remember kids, words can hurt more than a fist to the face, you don't know what someone else is going through and they just want to distract themselves with a game they enjoy. Best not to bully them in said game also. :)
INB4 ANY SELF-PROCLAIMED MATHIEU COTE COMES IN HERE AND SAYS "JUST PLAY ANOTHER GAME IF YOU CAN'T BEAR THE INSULTS":
Just stop... What if the person actively enjoys playing the game ITSELF, but the community is just forcing them to rip out all their hair from all the insults and bullying.
It legit takes people 0 amount of time, effort and money to write a nice message saying "ggwp, was fun game" or anything similar. Don't live out your own insecurities on some stranger on the internet because you are the victim of domestic abuse in your school/work/home.
Grow the ######### up and act like an adult.
Alright I gave it my two cents, time to have all the salty people on the forum reply with "Someone had a bad day in DbD, oh poor you cry me a river, etc etc..." Toxicity disappoints me and amuses all at the same time. :)
THIS AND ALL THIS!!!!!

That's how I play and I have fun playing like that.
Then again, my ego isn't so inflated that someone squatting at the exit gate with a dress-up doll, sends me into a blind rage either.
No, but when you lose a game no one is happy and being taunted for it doesn't exactly make you want to play again. Why isn't winning good enough? Why make someone else feel worse?

DH is going to have to get a look. It was a meta perk before the validation fix (see: buff) and now it's a tad too strong, especially due to the amount of 'fake hits' it gives killers, which not only results in a dropped chase but can also cause some killers' powers to bug-out, for example Nemesis's tentacle to not break pallets correctly.
That said, I can mostly play around it. Honestly PTS and Spinechill scare me more sometimes.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2643390#Comment_2643390
Usually a clicky clicky macro or a teabagger is a signal to me to suddenly start playing sweaty (I'm usually a pretty chill killer) and to show absolutely no mercy.
If they run up to you, immediately step back and tap m1. You'll always hit them.
The frustrating survivors are the SWF groups that know where the silly pseudo-infinites are (the 'House of Pain' in Badham/Haddonfield, the barge on the swamp maps etc.) and just run there immediately the second you get into a chase with them.
If I'm not on a killer with anti-loop or traversal abilities, there isn't much I can do and I'm very tempted to just AFK the match out.
Exactly but that's what sucks about the whole thing. Survivors cry about having killers that don't camp or tunnel and play the right way. Well that's me. Why are you intentionally trying to get me to quit?
I mean, i know the answer. Because the hordes of twitch fangirls want to see that
There's an entire forum here built for making the game better & there's a new HUGE portion of the community that is just here to troll & no one cares that they are losing good people
-
Absolutely and survivors tbag and clicky and even sometimes message you about how great they are. This game is set up in EVERY possible way for you to survive. They have learned every glitch & broken game play (even the one where they run up against you and you can't hit them unless you back away).
Survivor is literally for children it is so easy. Anyone who says otherwise does not play killer past 10PM

otherwise I wouldn't play.
You know it's a shame because it can be fun.
But it's like a girl that treats you like garbage once in a while. Sure she's fun but there's other girls that don't make you feel like an a**hole half the time

Sorry I think I just need to express my frustration. I don't understand why some Survivors have need to behave like this. It is just rude. Killers can tunnel / camp like there is no day tomorrow which most survivors dislike yet some of them (not all of them of course) just want you to have bad time even when you trying the other side to have fair and good time (I don't even play meta builds or something like that lol).
It's not just you. I was reported for calling out a team of trolls on here who's specific existence is to make the gaming experience worse for other people. No one cares about that. They only care about survivor.

It is a wonder that killer players have the audacity to complain when the game favors them so much. I can 4k in my sleep and still be too tired to navigate the menus properly and accidentally queue for survivor where a sweaty killer will demolish us faster than killers pretend they are gen rushed. That wakes me up real fast.
Yea, you definitely don't play killer at night. I can tell just by the way you talk
-
@Dumpstick said:
People play killer. I'm literally versing a Pig right now while I'm on hook typing this.
The only baby I see in this thread is the killer whining like a baby about how hard his game is to play.
You don't play killer at night for a reason
-
Doesn't the fact that they have time to troll & teabag and use Flashlight even when they don't need to tell you a little something about how easy survivor is?
-
Survivor is for babies. If you are frightened by any killer you are bad at this game. You want to groan? Try playing killer at night.

Yep totally true bro, just posted a thread mentioning the same thing,10 min queue as survivor, iinstant game as killer, the game is unbalanced, not fun anymore and tilted towards survivors.I play both equally and survivor is now boring while killer is frustrating and unsatisfying especially since the boon totem garbage, all BHVR do is add cosmetics for dress up dolls and don’t deal with the serious gameplay issues.
Yep I saw your post. Totally agreed
-
The only people that disagree with this never play Killer
Every word is true
-
@[Deleted User] said:
People do play killer though... i'd say it's a pretty balanced population based on my queue times.
Suppose i should have said at night
-
Well obviously i play killer too but you know it's a valid point.
-
The game is so much easier for survivors. It's like chess & checkers. And adding these boon totems have given the killer one more thing to worry about and endless med kits for survivors

The issue with the MM problems is the lack of red and purple rank killers for how many high rank survivors and SWF groups with high ranking survivors there are. (SWF matchmaking uses the highest ranking survivor). To ensure these survivors don't have lengthy queues, the game will place any killer into their lobby after a while. Which tends to be a low ranking killer.
This is most prevalent during peak gaming times, evenings and the weekend, when all the 3/4 person SWF teams play the game.
Another issue is SWF MM will steal low ranking survivors in SWF groups from being matched against low ranking killers. Instead they will be placed into the already crowded high rank survivor queue. Which of course increases the odds they and their high ranking SWF buddies will be matched against a low rank killer. Whereas if the high rank SWF and low rank SWF members were separate, this would decrease the odds of the high rank SWF members being matched against a low rank killer.
Long story short somehow the devs have to convince more people play killer and play killer enough to rank up. While also convincing people to play solo survivor and not only with their SWF buddies.
So they have to look at why people don't like playing killer and solo survivor.
i am a bloodpoints player basically...so if they want more killer players up the bloodpoints for killers over survivors...i'd definitely be interested in that.
it would make getting destroyed by high ranking survivors a bit more worth it
-
Part of the problem is how Toxic this gaming community is. DBD is horrible for trolling low level killers. I am a level 16 killer and getting mocked because i couldn't kill a group of 8's.
I'm thinking "well of course i have trouble killing a bunch of 8's" and being relentlessly mocked by these professionals doesn't exactly make me want to hit the ready button for another round of feeling like an idiot.
