Yup! Basically the equivalent of survivors tea bagging but actually toxic and time consuming. I remember a wraith trying this on me. I finished the last gen and left via exit gate, he's probably still standing there lmao.

So would you agree Rng shouldn't give survivors free wins?
I will gladly agree with this change, if we also fix spawning system of survivors, so they will never spawn separate on different gens.
Let's have gates on opposite sides of map and two survivors will spawn on each.
So you'd rather give killer free wins instead, got it :) survivors spawn together most of the time, you'd know if you played survivor.

And this does nothing so "deserve" what exactly? You're too easily offended obviously.

It's pretty obvious that using a perk or tactics to gain an advantage in the trial is abuse.
This is what I'm told when I loop the killer for 3 gens with Mft so who knows?

They want to do it though haven’t planned it yet, so it seems like it’s prioritized low for whatever reason

As if they never had done anything that involved spending time on it.
Hmm, how heavy that backlog must be.
-
They probably won't do it since it implies they spend time on it.
-
They really need to make another meta shake up soon and rework like 30-40 perks altogether. The overwhelming majority of survivor perks are bad and it's no surprise people gravitate towards the same perks again and again.
-
I usually don't because that's a waste of batteries for a potential save but I'll do it with killers who tried/are trying to tunnel one of my teammates, it usually works as the killer now wants to tunnel me.

If you can't escape a Pig while she's permanently crouched then I don't know what to tell you.
By all means, tell us what a survivor being harassed by a crouching pig should do to get their trap off and escape, we're all listening:) unless of course you have no idea what you're saying.
@Caiman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3585544#Comment_3585544
If the Pig downed you and hooked you like normal in this situation, you still wouldn't have enough time to run across the map and take the trap off, you'd be dead either way. That's assuming she wouldn't patrol the Jigsaw boxes to down you there, too, instead of following you around. The Pig's power is to put survivors in bad situations and then take advantage of the opportunities that arise. Your counterplay is to not get caught in those situations in the first place through smart decisions and, hopefully, smart teamplay. Blame your teammates for doing gens instead of giving time to get the trap off.
Call me conceited if you want, but it doesn't change anything. The Pig is already one of the weakest killers in the game, she doesn't need even more safety padding.
Oh, so you're saying pig is overpowered anyway so why bother? This is just another proof to call for a nerf then.
@JPLongstreet said:
Listen, I'm so dang slow while crouched, and so low to the ground as well, that surely enough distance can be made combined with line of sight blockers to get away on most maps.
I realize three failed searches are quite the soul crusher, but from my game time with & against her that is not too common to happen. Outside of endgame the Pig is actively throwing the match doing this. You likely will die but your team should all get out unless their complete utter potatoes.
I'm not dismissing your experience, sounds rough, but I have to believe it's kinda rare.
You can't get off a pig that harasses you, you just can't.
-
They should buff this perk by adding a lot more high points on maps. Some maps are very poorly balanced and only get a few high points, making this perk unstable to run. Make it 30sec exhaustion as well and make the silent falls permanent.

It is pretty ridiculous to use the word "abuse" just for using the perk which devs released so people can use.
I've heard killers calling for abusing survivors because they...looped, so i'm not gonna care about that. Every killer I've witnessed with this perk just spammed it all game long until everyone is dead/slugged. It needs a serious rework for the health of the game.

After reading the comments, it feels like some people think that if the Survivors managed to repair all gens, they deserve a 4 man out too although they don’t say it.
If played poorly, the Killer can easily snowball with 1-2 people going down in order to bodyblock or rescue a Survivor solely because of STBFL. I have comeback from a match solely because I had stbfl and 2 Survivors dive bombed a hooked Survivor.
To some people, they probably think this is unfair because they spent all the time doing gens and looping the Killer the whole game and end up failing to escape because of one perk and altruistic plays. Clearly no one would fault themselves for Altruistic plays so the perk gets the blame.
I wouldn’t be surprised if people also dislike the perk because it has the same potential as No One Escapes Death but can be used throughout the match.
If a perk makes you go from an obvious loss to a win that easily, maybe it's time to address it and nerf it. No perk should carry anyone, remember? That works for killers as well:)
-
Interesting to see so many people running the same old perks, it's pretty clear bhvr isn't interested in shaking the meta and won't release good survivor perks. Mft will get gutted and everyone will go back to the exact same builds, how boring.

I personally think it is fine. This perk only makes you scream, not aura. You can know that your location is revealed so you can hide or run away before the killer approaches to you. Also, it is not that good to some killers. Imagine how much value would Freddy get by this perk...
It's very abusable for most killers actually, which is what happens every single time I see a killer using it. This perk is a huge problem and the cooldown needs to be at least 2x longer.

Do you feel the same about survivors giving up and dying on purpose early in the match? Killers don't have a parallel way out, so it makes them more likely to be selective about their matches. The two are halves of the same coin imo.
Good, then let survivors see the killer's prestige, username/profile, hours played... Goes both ways or doesn't at all :)

They removed hook grabs because the mini game was stupid and because of ping and what not the whole thing was inconsistent af.
Just think of insta down killers, if you try to unhook against them you will more often than not not even get the 1 for 1 trade.
Also I did not complain at all about stbfl at hooks, I just said you might need more than one player to take hits so you can unhook without going down before even managing to unhook.
So you admit stbfl can be the equivalent of an insta-down mechanic, thank you.

Neither were the Perks I mentioned. Hell, MFT wasn’t made to sell the Chapter either. It was added to the Shrine a couple of weeks after the Perk’s release. MFT was simply too strong but the devs thought it’d be fine.
Mft was 100% released to bait people into buying Gabriel/the chapter. They had nerfed DH (again) and people were asking for decent new chase perks since killers cried their eyes out to nerf every valuable perk (windows and sprint burst are next).
Mft was fine, killer mains just hate when survivors get decent perks and want easy wins.

On that note, I'm keen to see what perks the upcoming (seemingly non-licensed) survivor-only chapter has. I won't be buying but interested into whether they'll have strong perks to start with and nerfed later, or just mediocre perks and the selling point will be something else, like gorgeous cosmetics.
Oh they're gonna do that for sure. It's gonna be a Mikaela situation 2.0. release incredible and refreshing perks just to nerf them into oblivion barely a year after, when the money made its way to the bank.

You realise it would be faster for her to down and hook you right? This is just tunneling in a different form, no more effective than any other killer doing the same, less so in fact.
Any Pig doing this is shooting themselves in the foot, as they're wasting their own slowdown by pursuing the only survivor who can't do gens.
A pig taunting and harassing a survivor trying to get rid off their trap all game long is what it is: being toxic. Which is why they don't hook...

Tell that to Demo and Billy when they get countered by the press of a single button that's not even "E". There are ways to savely bodyblock a Hillbilly's chainsaw without getting hit. That is not working in the killer's favor.
Most killer hitboxes in this game aren't that bad. It's latency that makes it look way worse than it actually is. Do the math yourself. It's obvious, that even a hitbox as small as a Deathslinger's shot can look way off. If hitboxes were such a big issue, you'd find more killers hitting walls / clutter with their powers. But that doesn't happen (with the exception of loops with invisible hitboxes of which there are quite a few).
No, I will not tell that to these killers because they're a minority in a sea of f****d up hitboxes overwhelmingly working in favour of killers.
Hitboxes are a big issue and that why killers get hits/downs they shouldn't have, so it's the exact opposite.

@Rickprado said:
Exit gates should always be close: in a ending scenario where 4 is alive, one person can distract the killer and the other ones can open the gates.
In a ending scenario where there is only one left, the survivor should aim for the hatch to get out. If the killer killed everyone and closed the hatch, there is no reason to give him a penalty for completing his objective just because of survivor deserve one more chance.
There is also no reason to give them free kills since there is no rule regarding exit gates having to be close to each other, you just made up that rule to serve your interest 🥱
@Coffeecrashing said:
Exit gates should always be near each other, because if the exit gates are too far apart, it encourages a hatch standoff where neither side wants to interact with the hatch.
For the killer, if they can’t defend both gates, then it’s better if the survivor gets hatch, for a guaranteed 0 MMR change. For the survivor, it’s better if the killer closes hatch, so they can escape out an exit gate for positive MMR.
Rambling aimlessly doesn't mean you're making a point, fyi. Next time please try to actually make a point, thank you.

Because the devs decided it's better for killers to be able to secure a single kill at the end of the game rather than survivors having free escapes.
Facecamping also isn't a problem anymore with the anti facecamping system. If the killer is facecamping, do gens and let them unhook themselves.
You mean free kills? Because this is what you're talking about: free kills :)
Sometimes you get bad games and get stomped, that's how it works :)
-
@Crowman said:

Why does it need to be 2 50/50s after the killer already won the first, the killer closed the hatch at that point they already won 1 50/50 to get the kill, there doesn't need to be a guaranteed 2nd 50/50
Rng shouldn't give the killer free kills ;) and it makes 0 sense for exit gates to spawn next to each other.

No I didn’t say they should. I said there is the option. And just to be clear, opening a gate is possible even without a specific build for it. I just stated there is in-game mechanics that make it easier if it is an actual problem for someone.
now, a pink offering should grant a free personal escape?
Let's keep this for the day bhvr stops making exit gates spawn on the same side of the map :)
It's not a free escape if the survivor manages to escape. The killer can bring noed or whatever.

That's exactly the point though. It isn't proof. These numbers only tell us exactly what it says up there in the graph. The kill rates.
If we go by kill rates, then Nurse is also the weakest killer in the game. That was @Mooks argument, to show that kill rates aren't a reliable indicator of strength.
Are you familiar with the law of large numbers? It states that, if you repeat an experiment often enough, then the average results should come close to their expected value. Meaning, if I were to roll a dice often enough, all possible results should have a relative probability of 1/6. It's still possible for me to roll 1,000,000,000,000 (pretty large number in my opinion) times and only get one result 60% of the time. Does that mean, the dice is broken? No, it only means that statistics aren't a perfect science.
All of this comes down to; We can't take numbers out of their context, interprete them in whatever way we see fit and expect any validity to that.
Then I cannot wait for you to show me the proof Freddy is one of the weakest killers in the game. I'll wait right here :)

Yes you should, which is why they removed hook grabs. You need to catch up. Unhooks by solo survs with a camping killers will always end up being a trade anyway, so what are you complaining about?
You're not supposed to get a kill every game, sometimes you just have to take the piss and move on.

Because if the killer is facecamping before the gens are finished, the survivor on hook can unhook themselves. And if the killer isn't facecamping then they literally can't interupt you with an M1.
Basically the "issue" isn't an issue.
And survivor perks deactivate in end game, because it's an asymm.
That's cute and all but killers who want to camp do so in a way that simultaneously denies the new anti camp system while also preventing unhooking by just...approaching the hook? You don't play survivor and it shows.

Using STBFL isn't exploiting. Besides killers like Leatherface and Huntress can successfully facecamp a survivor in end game and they don't use STBFL. So the percieved issue has nothing to do with STBFL and it's not even an issue because it's very clear that BHVR is fine with killers facecamping in endgame and securing a kill given that the AFC stops working and perks like DS and OTR turn off as well.
You're the only one obsessing over egc when I didn't even mention it. It should deactivate on egc tho, since most decent survivor perks deactivate as well. Balance, right?

You're missing my point. Whether or not Head On is a fun perk to face really is not the discussion I'm interested in having. All I'm saying is that I think some funny killer perks would allow for more variety in killer builds and result in more fun matches. I'm just as sick of facing Pop+Pain Res. every game when I play survivor as I am facing MFT+Hope when I play killer.
You literally said head on is fun for the survivors and the killers, which is clearly a lie.

Oh, I see. You're the kind of person asking for proof and such, but dismiss it when it's being presented to you. Interesting. Unless you have evidence to show otherwise, I'm not interested in debating over your feelings. I'm sorry this game is too hard for you. Have a beautiful day :)

Survivors that like to excessively hide, want lockers to always be available, so they can use them to dodge killer tracking perks. They also want reliable lockers to easy mode hide from the killer, because some uninjured survivors are extremely difficult to hear in lockers, even if the killer is right next to the locker, and there isn’t any chase music.
And yes, lockers being more reliable is a buff for survivors, even if they aren’t in a chase. Excessively hiding survivors is a major game problem, and we don’t need to make it any worse than it currently is.
Hiding is a valid strat, actually encouraged by the Devs ;)

If the Killer is face camping and it's not after 5 gens done, then the hook survivor can just unhook themselves.
If the Killer is not face camping then you have time to get the save.
If it is end game, then just open the escape and leave.

Oh, it simply nullifies a lot of baseless claims that were made in this very thread: Freddy is far from being one of the weakest killers in the game (he's right in the middle within the top 5% MMR), so your claims about high MMR are debunked pretty easily.
Now, if you REALLY want to be proven wrong, just ask:

They didn’t say Freddy is a pub stomper at all. They said he is stomping low skill survivors - as is literally any killer and that got nothing to do with Freddy’s power.
also, the vast majority is mid mmr according to devs. I think they have confirmed its distributed in a bell curve iirc. Or do you have a source for your claim?
Interesting

There is already perks and items for this to help without being an actual free escape for nothing. There are perks helping you to open gate faster (Wake Up!, Sole Survivor, to a lesser degree Resilience), and other perks help you find the hatch (Clairvoyance, Left Behind) which you can open with a key.
now, I kinda think that No Way Out is a little bit too definitive in this scenario and could use some change (eg not working when gates got powers through closing hatch or at least not as long)
Are you saying survivors should run closed-hatch/lone survivor builds just in case ?

Exactly... Nothing will really changed if this perk is tweaked to be back to Pre 6.1.0; as this is undermine the problem that this perk benefits weak M1 killers that don't necessarily have a strong M2 power to make up for it, for speed ans efficiency in chase. It may have been overtuned after that 6.1.0 update; but back then, many players didn't notice how significant it was when they group up and let the killer farm non obsession tokens. The Survivor should have been more aware that this perk is active by visually seeing the increase in attack recovery speed after successfully hits and avoid feeding him stacks or better yet; if you are the obsession, bodyblock the killer and forced to it you to lose stacks or sacrifice yourself when he has no stacks so the killer can no longer farm STBFL tokens.
This perk has a clear counter, that most average Survivors players are not aware, and that is why it is stronger and overrated decent perk, when they dont used their obsession to forced them to loose stacks.
You literally can't unhook someone if the killer is camping with a few stbfl stacks.

Lightborn, yes I guess. Franklin's, I'd have to disagree I do not think that perk is funny at all. Two Can Play, yes I agree, but when I use that perk it's kind of hard for me to feel the effect so even though I agree it's a funny perk, it's not nearly as funny as any of the survivor perks mentioned in my opinion. In addition I prefer it if the perk is funny for both sides. Playing against Lightborn or Franklin's is not fun for the survivors, in fact I would say it's quite the opposite. Playing against a silly Deception+Head On build is, in my opinion, also fun for the killer as well as the survivor.
The overwhelming majority of killers I've used head-on on tunneled me out of the games I was in. This couldn't be further from reality.
