This game is fun no lie. It'd be a whole lot better if people weren't toxic. I never understood when I saw my teammates tbag and point at the killer, like why? Now for killers why do you guys need to camp and nod no lol. The survivor always tbagging is the worse survivor of the team and the killer nodding no while face camping with a whopping 12k bp lol
It's simply because they're bad at other games and this is their only relief. They don't care so much about winning as they do about making the experience worse for others including their team mates who have to carry their weight. This game is easy pickings for these kinds of people because it's got a low skill ceiling & the game rewards people +BP everytime they breath so they can feel special by having a high score pop up on their screen every game.
The people who play for fun are either in KWF or have moved on to better games, so you have a higher concentration of trolls in matchmaking who play to irritate rather than win which is why the community seems more toxic than other games.

Alright now you're just trolling or disingenuously new to the game. She's the only killer I play, with plague being a close second, followed by spirit. For when I want some....Variety. Its pressure.....I don't think you really understand what that is, maybe you don't play survivor enough and realize how easy it is to gen rush with nothing else in your way. But if you've played against pig enough you'd know that it the traps cause survivors to get selfish. They have a trap on, and run right past injured survivors, they have a trap on and run past hooks, <----I've seen it happen countless times, and it either tilts the person injured or tilts the person hooked. Which is a mental play. If they're tilted their interaction with that guy who left them changes. Survivors become less trusting of themselves, and you can capitalize on the lack of altruism by having tons of targets who aren't healed. I could write a book on how to play her, but, ain't nobody got time for that go look at old posts and if you don't like my style go watch some of Scorpionz gameplay which is more in your face and focused on the chase. If anything I think you're projecting how bad you do with a killer onto other people....which....is pretty sad tbh.
Unironically calling me a disingenuous troll while completely ignoring the point I made in the OP so you can use this as an opportunity to throw out buzzwords you don't understand and talk about your roster of killers. Your entire argument was irrelevant until you resorted to adhomming at the end because you can't seem to address the fact that it's unfun and uninteractive. Projecting buyer's remorse maybe? Or is it the classic insecurities of an OTP who has to justify their inability to be good with multiple killers?
Other killers have abilities that provide opportunities for mind games in a variety of ways without being unfun. Even a simple abilities such as Trapper's provides a ton of decision making opportunities for both the survivors and the killer, without dumbing down how they interact with each other & the ability during the match. In other words, other killers exist and don't have the same issues.

Survivor mains who are rank 20 killers really don't seem to understand how killers work at all. I don't own Pig, but I know for a fact that Pig players have quite a hard time because Pig is kind of on the weaker side. BUT she is FUN. Stealth killers can be very rewarding if played right. The fact that you're moaning and groaning over an easy to work around mechanic (that's RNG btw, I have gotten trap off at first box many times) is very telling and reveals a lot of information about you. I don't want to assume normally, but please don't propagate the stereotypical toxic survivor mentality. No one likes that kind of player.
If you want to argue that pig needs a buff that's fine, but it's not relevant to what I wrote. If you're going to go off on a tangent, at least finish the argument or tie it in to the OP in some way. RNG also isn't really relevant as I didn't bring that up nor is it a problem in other areas of the game. What's telling is how you people constantly need to resort to misrepresenting my argument because you can't figure out how to refute my point about the ability lacking interactivity and being unfun to deal with. Whatever helps you cope with enjoying low skill gameplay.

Literally takes 20 seconds out of your 5 minute game. Also, RBTs arent even that strong. If youre constantly dying to them, then you should maybe be getting them off? Its not very complicated.
And no, they dont constantly reveal your location. That beep is a lot louder on the survivors end. Supposed to get you tense about getting it off. As killer, if I run into someone with an activated RBT, its never because of the beeping, its because I checked a Jigsaw box.
I didn't say they were too strong, I said they were unfun. No other killer ability in the game encourages people to forgo interaction as much as the RBT. I play a multiplayer game because of player to player interactions. Running in a circle around the map on autopilot toward 4 glowing boxes isn't fun or interactive.

Words like "broken" and "no counterplay" in combination give the strong impression that you think a mechanic is too strong, so I don't blame people for thinking that. That's also what leads people to conclude that you don't understand how the traps work (either that or you're misunderstanding what counterplay is) because they have very clear counterplay - just remove the trap and you're golden. It's really quite unjust to claim that other people have "problems with literacy" when you're the one who's misusing words in confusing ways.
If what you mean to say is that the Pig's power doesn't revolve around killer/survivor interaction and you find that boring, that's fine, but that's a personal preference. It doesn't mean the character is broken or that the people who came up with the mechanic are idiots. For me, Pig is actually the most fun to play against because I enjoy having a second objective, I enjoy the time pressure and the roulette-like aspects and find it quite exciting.
You can just say, "I would like it if Pig were changed because I think she and her power are boring and uninteresting to play against" because that's your opinion and you're allowed to voice it. You don't need to insult everyone in sight to do so.
Well I guess I can't help if people choose to interpret someone else's writing incorrectly. That is why I took the time to explain the problem so that people could have a straight forward understanding of what I meant. I repeatedly used the words "fun" and "interactive" with appropriate performatives so it's blatantly dishonest for people to go out of their way to manipulate syntax to misrepresent what I wrote.
You're even attempted to rewrite my argument instead of just accepting it even though it says the same thing effectively. As if writing it differently would hurt peoples' feelings less. No, I think they'll choose to be offended anyway because that kind of manipulative and dishonest behavior seems to be patterned in the DBD community.
Not sure why I thought I'd be greeted by anything but an abundance of forum trolls. That was my mistake.

I've gotten around 20 trap kills... my first kill ever in this game was a RBT kill... I'd say that you are the type of player whom waits till the last moment to get the trap off only to fail... so you're going to blame RNG for the mistake you made...
I'm not sure how you come to these conclusions since I didn't mention doing any of that, but sorry that I've confused you. I hope it doesn't hurt too much.
@KingFrost said:
I agree! Pig's traps need to be stronger. Make Rule Set 2 base kit, and make traps more interactive so survivors have to do more to get them off than just test one of four boxes. Something that makes it a real slowdown mechanic, rather than a slowdown unless RNG decides to screw you mechanic.

No she's not....people like the OP are why I'm as deadly as I am. Just pit the survivors against each other and have them do a task outside of the typical generator and they lose their minds and die/kill themselves. It really is brilliantly beautiful.
How is that pitting the survivors against each other? You're not interacting with the other survivors at all, nor are you interacting with the killer. The RBT is actually forcing non-interaction. Maybe you have an easy time because people don't enjoy playing a walking simulator and want to interact with the killer/game in a meaningful way.
Seems like maybe you have a bit of buyer's remorse and need to project that on other people. To each their own.

Exactly. Pig might be bottom tier, but people hate her the same way they hated old Doc.
Whether or not she's good is irrelevant, the mechanic is unfun. Interaction should be maximized because we're not playing a single player walking simulator.

Yeah, I read the whole thing. It still sounds like you're just resigning yourself to death the second you get a trap on your head, which is not at all the way you're supposed to play against Pig. And I'm not the only one who got that impression, so maybe it's not my reading comprehension ability that's the problem.
No, I'm resigning myself to having fun which involves interacting with the killer and not playing a walking simulator.
And it is literally reading comprehension issues as most of the replies have been something along the lines of "pig isn't OP" or "that's now how RBT works" when I've said neither that pig is OP or inaccurately described the mechanic.

I don’t know.... more than one survivor with small game, self care, and spine chill doesn’t exactly scream SWF squad to me.
thing is that it's just super easy to add recent players and group with them on console games so it's only natural that most people are SWF. If someone is high rank survivor on console they are pretty much guaranteed to be SWF.

no they should just grow a pair and remove swf from the game

Its Not banable to play in a public lobby to help each side to farm blood points and won't be. So I don't know what else to tell you. They do NOT have to go to a private lobby. You can upload the video to the devs and have those people banned. But other farming will not get people banned unless its intentional griefing like your case.
It's not farming, it's griefing. Griefing is not farming. Farming in video games doesn't effect other people negatively. Griefing does. Griefing & teaming shouldn't be allowed when it's ruining the game for other people.
Again, you can go into a private lobby and do it. You don't get BPs because they don't want people abusing game mechanics for easy BPs (GASP!). If they aren't playing the game properly, they don't need BPs anyway.

*Head Smack* they are NOT saying its OK to go into a game and try and force someone who doesn't want to farm to farm or just use them to get pets and kill them like what happened to you. Farming is NOT bannable and the devil have said this, what are you not understanding about that? Its stupid to go into a custom lobby to do because you don't get any bps when you do so of course they will do it in public matches. Most of the time, its the killer asking the survivors if they want to farm to get more bps. Sometimes its nice just to have a game where both sides work together instead of being try hard a holes.
Its wrong to use someone who doesn't want to farm to get bps and force them to stay in a game they don't want. I've also had games where I wasn't asked to farm but I was used for the others to get their pts off of. I wish then we could just kill ourself 1st hook easier because I had them standing right below me to unhook immediately before I could suicide. That is bannable. Please learn the difference in friendly farming and actual griefing. What happened to you is griefing but not everyone farming is trying to ruin the game.
I didn't make a post about farming. The headsmack moment is when you people keep bringing it up in an attempt to downplay the behavior of blatant griefers.
This isn't farming, this is griefing. If people want to "farm" or otherwise waste time not playing the game, they can do it in a private lobby.
If they don't get BPs in a private lobby for farming, that's probably because the game isn't intended to be played that way. Again, if not playing the game properly, they don't really need BP at all do they? What is the point of getting BP if you're not playing the game to begin with?
Doesn't matter if it's not a banned behavior, it's still ruining the game for other people AKA griefing. The devs also don't ban cheaters but that doesn't mean it's OK to do it.
-
there are multiple public wallhacks available. they don't seem to know how to update the anticheat to block them.
If you think the killer is using a wallhack, they probably are. Watch as they bee-line for you and all your teammates at the start of the trial and take the fastest route possible because they know exactly where everyone is. You can even see them pre-swinging their weapon around corners many times.

It's hilarious how you patronizingly suggest that I can't understand a point when it's you not understanding. You're equating people messing around and not playing seriously to "griefing." I can't tell if you think farming is griefing or if you're just not understanding the point of what I said entirely.
You responded to somebody saying that if you're talking about farming then half of people would be banned on double BP events (because everyone farms) by saying "Then they should be banned? They are intentionally joining public lobbies to ruin the game for people that paid to play the game properly." Just because people aren't playing the game "properly" doesn't mean they're griefing. Everybody has a different idea of what the "proper" way to play the game is, and if it really really matters to you that there's an objective right/wrong, then the DEVS' opinion of farming is that it's fine. So feel about it how you want, but farming is not griefing.
As I said earlier I don't know if you just misunderstood the point of what I'm saying, but I'll reiterate with different wording. I don't feel like you getting literally griefed by your team mates just repeat unhooking/slugging you with the killer is fine. I'm not talking about that when I say farming. What I'm saying is people should not be punished for working with the other side/intentionally not playing the game "correctly" to maximize their bloodpoints. The whole point of doing this is to ease the pain of having to accrue bloodpoints by letting people maximize what they're getting per game. So because of this, your whole "do it in a private lobby without effecting random people" is just downright stupid if you have any idea of how DbD works. You don't get BP in a custom game and everything's unlocked.
Nobody is being held hostage by people simply just letting the killer hook them and the killer simply just letting the survivors go after getting their 2 hooks per, and everybody is chill with it. Everyone can practically leave whenever they want in a situation like that. Don't try to twist what I'm saying into "trolling another person by not letting them play is fine." That's simply not what I'm saying, and if you keep trying to just reduce it down to that then I have no reason to reply to you any further, as it will just show that you have no real desire to discuss anything and you just want to argue with people for the sake of arguing.
It's like you didn't even bother to read what I said in my post.
Going into a public match and ruining the game for other people is griefing. Yes I will call you out if you try to excuse this behavior in some pathetic way as "farming" or anything other than what it is.
There's zero excuse to ruin the game for random people. Do it in a private custom match with your friends.

Farming should not be bannable. If you don't want to farm and the killer is intentionally not killing you then you're free to do whatever you'd like in the game, and that includes rushing through the gens and opening the gate to get out ASAP if you'd like. People definitely should not be banned for farming if they're not completely holding a player hostage. To equate something like farming where somebody is trying to be nice, to griefing, is frankly just ridiculous.
And yes, as somebody else said, you can hold shift to prevent anybody from interacting with you. So you aren't actually trapped with the ability to do nothing, although I'll still have to say it's annoying when you get people intentionally trying to ruin your game either way.
Just as long as that's what they're intentionally trying to do.
Griefing is not a core gameplay mechanic. Teaming with the killer to grief other players is not farming, it's griefing. The other player is not "free to do whatever" they'd like when they are being held hostage by the other players.
What do you think farming is? It's not an intended gameplay mechanic; it's not a part of the core gameplay loop. If you aren't playing the game normally, then you certainly don't need bloodpoints anyway do you? If you want to ignore the entire point of the game by "farming", then do it in a private lobby without effecting random people.
I feel like this has been explained (with pictures for the illiterate here) in a simple enough manner multiple times. If you can't understand at this point, then you can't be helped.

Are you really having a hard time understanding this problem?
Griefing innocent players is not farming, it's griefing. You are not "free to do whatever you'd like in the game". How can the player do as they like when they are being held hostage by the other players?
What do you think farming is? It's not a game mechanic. It's not part of the core gameplay loop. You're farming for... what? If you aren't even playing the game normally, then you don't really need to farm anything do you? It's purely griefing, plain and simple. If not, then you can do it in a private lobby with your friends so it doesn't effect random people.

Try getting a screenshot and opening a ticket with Behaviour on this site. It helps a lot AND you get replies confirming that they're going to investigate, but also always report them in game.
I've gotten replies from moderators letting me know they're investigating.
Well I've reported in game. They have everything they need there to take action.
Mind you one of the most popular games in the world right now have staff that manually ban people for teaming based on in-game reports. If PUBG can manage to regularly issue bans with just their server side data and tens of thousands more players & reports, then the DBD staff have no excuse except laziness.

Glad (or should it be sad) that someone else is having the same problems. You aren’t allowed to leave yet the devs do nothing about it. You’re just expected to sit there and let them have their fun

It's sad that many people don't even play the game, they just log in to grief people and that's their hobby in life.

First thing I'm going to do is ask you to remove self care. I used to use it every match but now I hate it with all my strength. Try and you will see why it's better not to depend on it, and you will instantly unlock a new perk slot.
And regarding to your discussion, if you don't want to farm, you are not forced to do it, you can ignore them, but if the teammates are leading the killer to you and you are trying to hide from him, yes, you can report them, and you're free to send additional videos and screenshots by the suport ticket page. You just can't get forced to do domething you don't want to do.
Sorry for making you lose your time with the first paragraph, it's just that I got allergic to self care so hard.
Of course first reply is someone excusing this behavior. You don't get to choose not to engage in this griefing. That's why it's called griefing. You are being actively prevented from playing the game. You cannot control your character because they kill and revive you over and over. You cannot leave or you get an autoban.
And I don't think I'll remove self care until the bloodweb gives me something better to unlock. You don't instantly unlock a new perk slot by removing it. My choice is self care or something worse or nothing at all. It's been more useful than having nothing there at all.
