Waiting for the swf players to harass you
-
Sounds based tbh
-
You are brave to make this post but I suspect you'll be crucified for it they don't take kindly to this talk around these parts

most of the time I don't even bother trying when I get these maps because I genuinely can't play on them due to my TV brightness being broken
It's too easy to fade into the bushes mid chase and become invisible wearing p3 on estate

Solo makes you wanna quit the game sometimes I understand why people play in swf
You'll never get better if you play swf, solo is just where the Chad's are swf is the congregation of cowardly virgins hiding behind eachother
-
Maybe swf should players 'git gud' and stop sitting in a safe space on recruit difficulty while those with balls solo
-
In the time it took to reply which was like 15 seconds the game loaded and two two gens were done, toolboxes, swf yes truly skillful. If comms was intended there wouldn't be certain perks you can pretend all you like but the fact is comms is cheating and it negates skill required to escape/stealth because you'll be fed information that you wouldn't have unless you ran a perk like spine chill and even then comms is more accurate than spine chill.
It's cheating plain and simple, most swf players get destroyed in solo I know because I have played against them and without swf comms they are like headless chickens, how is it fair that a survivor can have more than four perks because of comms? Comms is built in spine chill, bond, kindred, dark sense and premonition so essentially you can have four meta perks and also five more perks in swf totally fair right? Totally takes skill too.

Comms aren’t cheating, it was confirmed by the devs. Once again, swf doesn’t negate skill, I don’t think you’ve played with players who aren’t very good in swf if you think you’ll easily stomp killers because of comms.
Wrong the devs have stated it is cheating and the game was never intended for comms so if you are gonna be biased stop replying because none of what you have said is correct. Definitely a swf trying to justify it as 'fair'

I’ve played as and against swf, I’ve had bad and good players on my team and against me. It doesn’t negate skill if you know what to do, otherwise people would never 4K against swf.
Who said anything about killers being skilled? You can be the best player and still have a full loss to swf because again swf negates the skill required/ comms is cheating.

If you’re playing swf without being skilled then skilled killers will destroy you.
No if you are playing swf and the killer is a sweat you may lose you'll rarely get destroyed in swf because it negates skill required. Solo takes actual skill, swf is the equivalent of handholding

You still need skill in swf
You really don't it negates the skill required. It makes totems obsolete especially if you are a streamer, knock out, insidious, trapper, hag et cetera it makes all unfairly difficult to use.
The game isn't designed around swf literally four people can be telling eachother exactly where the killer is mix that with perks like dead hard and sprint burst and items like keys and toolboxes I'm not seeing any wide measure of skill I'm seeing a unfair, boring game that will be over in 3 minutes because the majority of swf I face either bring a key or rare toolboxes and/or flashlights, gen rush so nobody gets a substantial amount of bp, I get entity displeased and told I'm ######### when I get only a few hooks because gens go unfairly fast with toolboxes.
Really no incentive to play if you see a swf with toolboxes if you aren't a sweaty player you will lose and nobody will go above 18bp
-
Wouldn't call it skill since almost all toxic survivors are on comms, solo survivors are better players.
-
Do the devs ever learn?
-
@Clevite said:
Do what you like, but camping can't be fun. Can it?
Why play if your altering your style just to avoid possible negative messages.
I never get negative messages on ps4 unless I completely wipe a team out. And that's kind of a positive because they complaining I killed them too quickly.
I'm not altering it to avoid messages, I just didn't see the point in giving ungrateful bullies good games when they threaten my life over video games
-
It would make the killers even more of a joke not that it's not a interesting idea because it is

Your reason to camp is your name
You bet your sweet bippy it is
-
@Yamaoka said:
So you are camping because people are mean - classic.
Question: You said you find it more relaxing than actually trying to chase survivors but do you also find it FUN to camp? I'm currently not playing DBD for other games and I gotta say I almost forgot how much fun offline splitscreen games can be as I spent most of the past years playing DBD.
You might wanna try some other games, too. Maybe some grindy offline games or PVE games rather than PVP (which always includes people that try to belittle and insult you). I'm fairly sure grinding good gear in Borderlands 3 with a friend (for instance) is way more fun than camping someone to death which is basically just standing around for 2 minutes doing nothing.
I wouldn't say l was doing nothing, when I camped I was talking to people on the phone. I do play other games.
-
Make the bonus bp a modest amount and I could see people solo queuing more often unless they only care about rank, don't see the fun in swf tbh always that one guy bossing everyone around and solo is like a box of chocolates you never know what ya gonna get that's the allure

Do not assume that everyone knows everything, so it's best to go in depth with the character, even in their most common place to talk about
Did not assume anything I asked how you didn't know who he was. Fine one of his perks would be "nobody could break me" which would grant him a sprint burst of his own everytime he gets ds'd and his mori would be either nsfw booty escapades or he would get a bucket of boiling water mixed with soap and stuff and throw it in the survivors face, the water would be hot enough to bend cutlery.
His map would be kentucky state penitentiary and his survivor counterpart would be Chris Handsome not to be confused with Hansen eventhough they are one and the same.

Still not worth it. Solo queueing is literally going into a match you are guaranteed to lose since matchmaking is terrible. Only when facing a terrible killer you can do something
I solo queue all the time and I rarely die

if you don't want to give them chase points, just approach them facing the opposite direction, turn last second and hit them. You can do that at the door as well.
Interesting stratagem
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Some do this as they want to show you they found the hatch and bm you.
Just chase them out as it just wastes your time as more than theirs as they are doing it to get to you which it seems it did.
Not really I'm just wondering what the reason for it was. I'm mentally untouchable
-
This post is not about me though it's about why the survivor sat on the hatch waiting
-
@Boss said:
The point is to not have them waste 5 minutes of your time.
I'm not giving someone free chase points you got me ######### up

I still don't know how people who use dead hard can shame noed, same perk tbh one grants a free escape/second chance if you will the survivors objective is evasion/generator while another grants a somewhat free down the killers objective being sacrifice.

Report those. Get them banned. I would.
Look I have thought on it and I'm just gonna give it another shot and if people wanna be horrible so be it. Killer players jus have to deal with vile messages they shouldn't but they do so I won't camp anymore I won't fight toxicity with more toxicity thank you for your input those who actually were constructive not those who were looking at it black and white thinking it's ust because I 'suck'
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Only time I will camp is if a survivor was toxic for no reason. That kind of crappy behavior will be punished in my killer lobbies.
Other than that I cannot think of a more boring way to play killer than stare at a hook for most of the match.
Couldn't take the invalid death threats
Edit : then again any threat is invalid, I couldn't take the invalid hate when I gave good matches win/loss
-
@Name_Unavailable said:
Spirit cuz its like an easy mode for killers, And Freddy because ######### Freddy.
How so? I mean I would have thought with the messed up sounds spirit would be difficult to use.

@ThisGuuy83 said:
Camp if you want to. Hell, build a fire, roast some marshmallows, and set up a tent. There's no rule book for how survivors play, and they play as crappy and toxic as they want. So, why should killers play nice anymore and follow some stupid made up survivor sided rules? Kill em. Kill 'em ALL! 😂😉
It's really just the hate mail/lack of empathy for me. Say if I lose well I tried my best don't need to message me but these people did, they beat me and would message me the most disgusting hate and I'm just wondering why you won why are you doing this. I got tired of being a doormat to these horrible human beings.
The actual worthwhile, decent human being survivors were always in the minority when I played killer, I always hit the sore losers/ graceless in victory.
-
I have been facecamped, I have been lagswitched and facecamped but I never felt the need to give death threats over a video game. Being facecamped sucks sure but understand why the killer may be facecamping like I said it isn't always because they are new or they 'suck' a killer can be decent and be camping just because they got tired of the harassment it's not always black and white.
-
@Tr0g said:
If a survivor is obviously toxic (equipping flashlights/toolboxes a few seconds before the game starts or just flat out making fun of me in in-game), I will tunnel and facecamp them. The salt afterwards is fun. You piss me off, enjoy your 6k bloodpoints and depip.
I could handle that... It was the death threats that I got sick of, you know killers put up with a lot of stuff take the old ds for example and yet it's still deemed acceptable to threaten literal death to them and their family. I couldn't play normally after so much of the same disgusting messages.
Nobody should have to take that type of despicable harassment, it was honestly win or loss I can sort of understand being salty if you lose but if you win there is no understanding you beat me and yet I deserve death?
-
@sk1913 said:
You camp just because u suck. I'm rank 1 killer without any camp at all.
There is no reason at all to camp but being very low skill.
I never said I was good... If you actually opened your eyes you would see I said I would get hate whether win or lose so therfore I started camping. Rank 3 trapper two perks, zero add-ons totally I suck.
I'm not wasting my time anymore giving good matches to those who harass, I don't play games to be threatened death maybe you do but there you go now you can throw yourself a party for being horrible to a person online yes amazing contribution to mother earth I salute you sir or madame oh almighty rank one all should bow down to you, you know everything about everything you should be a dev.

Yeah, it happens, but it's a lot less frequent in this age bracket (i think). I also get hate mail, but it's only about once every 20 or so games. I really can't see any other reason why our experience would differ so greatly, apart from demographics, time of play and things like that.
I do hope things get better for you eventually.
You must just be lucky and get the normal people. Now if you had the amount I had you would probably quit playing altogether, I expect hate now because I'm now a dedicated camper, if I'm playing fairly and get hate win or loss I'm resorting to camping it's just that simple. Too many people in this 'community' demonise camping but fail to understand many campers wouldn't exist if other players had empathy and were functioning properly. I'm not gonna give worthwhile matches to horrible people.

Oh, now that's some psychology here. I always feel bad for people that get hurt when they try to be nice and feel that they will never be nice again. It shows that people actually seek recognition, not just feel good when they do nice things. Why're you trying to be nice if you don't enjoy it for itself, only because people expect you to? If it's "feedback" you should at least expect that not gonna get it "every time". Well, that's all questions that you have to ask to yourself.
I'm not playing for 'recognition' so don't make assumptions, I would actually prefer it if I didn't get messages period you know LIKE EVERY OTHER GAME WITH NORMAL PEOPLE if you send hate mail because I beat you in a video game you need help.
There's only so much hate people can take, I camp because of this and now I actually have fun and aren't getting hate for no reason. If I'm gonna get hate for playing optimally and fairly then I'm just gonna switch my play to that of a face camper and that is what I have done. No need to try shame me good for you that you can handle random hate all the time and not resort to camping to have a relaxing enjoyable game, maybe you are a stronger person than me good for you now but yourself some celebratory cake.
-
I checked reviews for this game and most made reference to hate when playing killer. I have played rocky league, gta online even call of duty and none of those games have communities that compare to this one hate wise.
I have only had like 3 or 4 friendly people message me after a match with gg or anything like that and this is in like 2k plus matches

I'm sorry to hear that.. Honestly, my experience is quite different, but it could be a bit biased, because I tend to play late at night, when you'll usually encounter more mature/older people. For the most part children just don't know any better, I guess.
I have had middle aged men literal husbands/dedicate boyfriends send hate mail. If I lose I'm trash, if I win you guessed it still trash well it's usually more vulgar hate
-
@Accullla said:

Come on.. it's not that bad. You do get people that bite the hand that feeds them and say nasty stuff even if they only escaped because you've been nice to them, but that's really not that common. Most of the time when I've been nice the survivors will either escape as quickly as possible (so they won't waste my time) and move on to the next game, or just start memeing around. A decent amount of times I've had people refuse to leave the match and die to the endgame collapse, because they didn't think they deserved to escape or didn't want to deprive me of my BPs.
There are soo many nice people playing this game - we just tend to remember the nasty ones more
We must be playing different games because 90% of my matches I get hurtful messages to the point where I don't see the point in playing nice anymore when all I get is disgusting harassment win or lose

So you just dont want to understand the different impact on gameplay. If you get triggered by someone teabagging its your fault. Ignore it. But being camped cant be ignored.
Totally my fault when someone is going out of their way to put me off. Evolve or get off my stuf it's that simple if I wanted an annoying infection that won't leave me alone I'd sleep with Rob Kardashian
-
I do it if my teammates sandbag me for example if they get seen at the start and lead the killer to a generator I am on only for the killer to chase me and of course whenever I get chased there isn't a pallet in sight so I'm just gonna kill myself on hook so I can move on to the next match and not waste my time

@Exxodus21 said:
Killers should be able to knock survivors back if they run into them during chase. Running around a killers legs doesn't seem.like it should be a legitimate tactic. You would want to stay away from the killer, not get up close and personal.
It fits the current narrative of this game killers are 🤡. If they ever added something like that guarantee there would be a full page of nerf requests.
