so I took a long break from dbd. I was on a two month break before Springtrap, and then played him for a handful of games and haven’t touched dbd since….until recently. As in one day. And every game is a trash heap dumpster fire of bullshit. After looking at what the update in the ptb looks like, I would just like to take a moment to share my take and criticisms. I hope the devs take the time to read all this and even discuss if possible. The anti-tunnel incentive is nice. Ever snce the new patch, I just can't find any fun anymore. If I play survivor, I just get immediately tunneled or left on the ground till I bleed out. My teammates have the iq of a brick and go for saves in killers faces, while they are injured and now that is yet another person needing saved. The last three days of my killer experience has been the worst it has ever been! Every game has been the same bs every round. BNP, PT, HF, DH, COH, PE, all stacked up on all four survivors with an instaheal somewhere in there and some bs map offering like Badham or Eyrie. Why do these events just turn everyone sweaty? The dbd community is just awful. I come from games like Overwatch and Rainbow Six and MK, and I thought those communities were toxic. None of those compare to the toxic cesspool that is the dbd community. You can't have fun at all without people sending all kinds of hate your way. Everywhere I look at people talking about playing killer in dbd, they are always talking about how stressful the role is to play. Survivor que times are long, because there are far more people playing survivor than there are playing killer. So, if I as a killer am expected to give one side a chance, but that side never gives me a chance, why should I give it to them? This player base says they want killers to play fair., no camping or tunneling. The killer doesn't do that, survivors are all like "ggez baby killer. Git gud." I see a lot around here about people saying killers are op, this killer needs nerfed, this killer perk needs nerfed, etc. And its always a complaint about the dumbest thing. People just constantly wanting killers to be made weaker. They get upset about camping and tunneling and slugging, yet those are the only real ways for killers to keep up once their mmr increases. Survivors got new ugly sweaters. They have party starters. They can hop in and walk in a snowman suit. Killers got a couple reskins on default head cosmetics for Trickster and Artist that just gives them blue eyes, and a couple reskinned weapons. Plus, they have to hit survivors three times. It's not skill based matchmaking. Its meta based matchmaking. Were you using the same, bland builds every one else uses? If no, then you will not have a fun time. If you were, you won't have a fun time either, but your chances of winning increase sharply is you are a survivor. If you are a killer, then you might get a couple hooks. But thats ok. Ever since they implemented sbmm, the experience of the game has gone downhill for me. At first, my games were mostly chill and I was having fun. Now, its stressful. As a killer, you have to be one of three killers with the strongest perks, or you will struggle to get two hooks. There is no way mmr is as balanced as the devs claim. I get sweaty ass 10000 hour killers when I play survivors, and my teammates are all babies holding a controller for the first time that just crouch in corners and can't last longer than 5 seconds in chase. Just gotta say, after thousands of matches where survivors all think they're good because they're on comms with their friends: you guys aren't as good as you think you are. Literally. Remove the comms, and then see what happens. Any game with a 4v1 will be extremely easy for the 4 if that 4 just happens to all be on comms.
