I wanna start off by saying that I’m not a Hag main nor do I like her, but I was watching somebody play her and it made me sad how miserable they seemed playing as her. So, I came up with a list of changes I’d make so she’s stronger, feels better to play as and against. Again, I don’t play Hag so all of these are up for debate. Make her 4.6 m/s, 32m terror radius Hag is a chase Killer.3 comments 71 views last activity

I'm a Pyramid Head main and I love everything about his power except his add-ons, which has inspired me to come up with my own ideas. Lemme know what you think? Former Range add-ons Black Strap When a Tormented Survivor is put into the dying state, they are immediately sent to a Cage of Atonement .5 comments 61 views last activity

As a Hillbilly, or any Killer for that matter, you should be encouraged to use your power as much as possible. After all, you're helpless without it. And in a game where map mobility and pressure are becoming increasingly necessary to win games, your power should be the last thing on the chopping block when it comes to resources. So, in this rework, I'm intending to turn Hillbilly's overheat in3 comments 81 views last activity

Salty killer main here . I've heard this topic numerous times over the years and it seems like nobody can agree on anything. So, in the nature of a similar post I made about having an FoV slider for Killer, I'm asking everyone to tell me what they think about Dead Hard, but ONLY from those who are FOR Dead Hard. I personally am against Dead Hard, so if there's something I'm missing, I would love75 comments 1,402 views last activity

Twins enthusiast here. Just a few ideas to give Twins some fun add-on options and strengthen weaker add-ons. I've brought this up a few times in some discussions and, regardless of the context, I always got into a heated debate on how increased FoV is too strong for Killer, and that if it were to be added, Survivors would need compensation. I just don't get it. I don't want an FoV slider to improve my performance, or to counter 360s, or to have any sort of advantage. I just want it because it feels ni51 comments 881 views last activity

This is what I'm doing instead of homework. Oops. Anyway, been playing Twins lately. They've always been an appealing Killer to me, but they've always felt incomplete/clunky to use. So, I've come up with a few buffs/nerfs and adjustments to make playing them more fluid and fun! These are all interchangeable so don't get all finicky that I'm pushing for a radical change in a Killer. TL;DR0 comments 21 views last activity

I played a game as my main, Pyramid Head, and his animation for plunging his sword into the ground to use his power is out of sync. So far, it doesn’t seem to affect gameplay but the visual disparity is disorienting, making it very annoying and trippy to use his power. Come on. How does this even happen?0 comments 11 views last activity

It just be amazing if I could go into a game not worrying about Survivors spawning on four different gens at once. Or better yet, finding the one guy who spawned alone while the rest of his team spawned on a 3-man gen.0 comments 11 views last activity

Scourge Hooks are a pretty neat concept. It's nice that they're adding new mechanics for Killers, especially since our latest additions are just obsessions and Hex: Undying. I only have a few gripes with how it is now. Suggestions Scourge Hooks should NOT be restricted to specific perks. Instead, Scourge Hooks should be present in every trial, just that they won't have any effects unles0 comments 41 views last activity

It's such a simple change. Just 5% or something. I shouldn't need to bring Pop to feel like kicking gens actually has an effect when regression can be stopped so easily. If this change were to happen, Pop wouldn't be such a necessity and I could actually run gimmick builds with just slightly less of a struggle.6 comments 41 views last activity

So, I've been getting into playing Twins as of late, wanting to learn how they work and such, and I've noticed something peculiar about their kit. As many of you know, Charlotte's perks are "disabled" while playing as Victor. However, after messing around with some builds, this is not necessarily true. As Victor, you cannot see your perks, but they are still active and function as they normally1 comments 141 views last activity

Killer, while still playable, is incredibly frustrating when the game never fails to freeze for whole seconds at most during extremely precise moments (I’ve been 360’d too many times due to lag). Will there be a hotfix this Tuesday or must we wait the grueling three weeks for our remedy?5 comments 181 views last activity

No, this isn't a post about how Killers are too weak. My first game of the day was against a full squad on Hawkins. Walked away with no kills and didn't even hook all four of them. My next game, it wasn't even a SWF and they wiped the floor with me. Maybe I was already sore from the previous game that I did so poorly. I've been IN LOVE with Forced Penance as of late, so I've got the gist down pat. However, in some cases such as PH's Punishment attack and Victor's Pounce, a protection hit isn't triggered. Does it only apply to basic attacks? It shouldn't, because I've seen clips of people getting protection stacks from Bear Traps and Deathslinger's spear. Does anyone have an explanation or is it bugged for some6 comments 171 views last activity

By that, I mean instead of adding extra regression on failed skill checks, there's less. Also, for convenience sake, other Survivors working on the same gen should get quieter repairs. Just a small suggestion. Funny story: I once had a game with a guy who brought Technician and purposely missed skill checks to prevent us from doing gens. He then proceeded to sandbag and spam message me after t13 comments 61 views last activity

By far, the most uncanny title of any of my posts for a long time. Pretty much sums it up though. I love the concept of Blood Echo but it's missing those three key components that would make it a lot more reliable. Reset Healing Progress (Optional) : This way it has a built-in anti-healing component that lets you slightly more value out of Hemorrhage... yeah, this one's optional actually. I think this question is best asked in these forums. Assymetrical multiplayer is a tough genre to nail in the world of game design, and it's nigh impossible to satisfy everyone. But, as DbD is the current best in the genre and since we're all dedicated players, what are some dos and don't a game of its like should have? (One or two of each will do.)12 comments 141 views last activity

I went on a brainstorming spree with Trapper. I found that there's a lot of room for creativity in his add-ons so I went nuts! While perusing through his arsenal, I noticed two things: not that many lore-based add-ons, and the fact that there's several of the same "type" of add-on (in this case: coils, tools, bags, etc.) spanning across each rarity. So, I took inspiration from Doctor's add-ons,2 comments 41 views last activity

I’m a console player, and I am absolutely addicted to Shadowborn. Most Killers, particularly of 4.4 m/s, feel extremely slow without this perk and Survivors who get up in your face often disappear. I’ve also heard the idea of an FoV slider floating around, so I want to know what the community thinks of this idea.39 comments 361 views last activity

I've been using Self-Preservation for a bit and there's definitely room for improvement. This is what I came up with. Self-Preservation Life's unforgiving. Sometimes it's better to just look out for yourself. If you aren't familiar, against a Doctor, Survivors in Madness Tier 3 look fearful and alert, and run like they're under great mental hardship. Just a few ideas I had the other day. The add-ons I'm changing don't seem very useful to begin with and will probably be changed, so here are some suggestions: The first two are for following up with attacks, and the last two are gimmicks. Hi. I'm a writer just as I am a game designer (aspiring, at least). I doubt I'm the only one whose noticed that BHVR has a habit of explaining things really... strangely, sometimes. Or tend to overcomplicate an otherwise simple description. I'm here to alleviate that, for fun! Because even the slightest grammar imperfections irk my very soul . On with the things! The idea is simple: all Survivor perks have their Power Level (name pending). Power Levels range from 1 to 5. So perks that show you teammates' auras or let you loot chests more efficiently have a weaker Power Level, while perks that bail you out of tight situations have a stronger Power Level. The game will check to see which Survivors' perks, all added up, have the highest Power Level. Whoeve3 comments 31 views last activity

I been seeing a lot of disagreement regarding Trickster when compared to other ranged Killers like Huntress or Slinger. It seems to me like people just assume, "well, Trickster has to hit the Survivor seven times but Huntress only has to hit them once ." Prior to the change, moris swayed the trial far in the Killer's favor, allowing you to remove a Survivor (or all Survivors) from the game quicker than normal. Now that it's gone, I've heard arguments that moris are "useless." But then I think about offerings as a whole, because the only thing that affects the game even slightly like moris are shrouds; which begs the question: Should Offerings ha0 comments 31 views last activity

If anyone here has played Until Dawn , you'll find this place familiar (it's the Washington Lodge). What I'm saying is, the map should be darker, more forest-y (evergreen trees), and definitely include some buildings besides the main building. I know game health is always a priority for the devs, so my question is how does it work? When programming a multiplayer game, when there are plenty of events happening at the same time and connected to five (sometimes six) different systems, how does the game provide things like good frame rate and connection? Just out of curiosity, because game development was always appealing to me :)3 comments 21 views last activity

A skill point system. It's a pretty basic principle. You play a character and earn skill points for you to spend on perks. For the sake of creativity, I'll delve deeper into the idea. Skill Point Types & Spending Think about the mobile progression system. Say for example, we're levelling up Adam Francis to get a high-level Deliverance. When I first got the game, my immediate go-to was The Pig. Not because I knew anything about SAW. Introduction I'll just tell you what you already know: Legion is busted. Since their release back in 2019, they've always held a peculiar spot in the world of DbD. For as long as the game has been around, the endgame was hardly ever touched on. Only when we received the Endgame Collapse has it been changed in any way, and we know how that went.
