It'd be nice for the less experienced/skillful players like myself if there was a bar in the center of the screen to track the chainsaw timer instead of having to use the small square indicator off to the side of the screen. Hard enough doing chases and then trying not to bump into things, then on top of that I gotta watch that tiny little bar in the far corner of the screen to time my click.0 comments 1 views last activity

It's a simple quality of life update that just makes the killer more fun and enjoyable to play with no negative impact on balance. Having the timer in the corner of the screen makes so little sense when you're using a power that demands that you focus on how you're moving and where you're going. The rev up bar is already there in the middle of screen constantly active so assets and code are lik0 comments 21 views last activity

Give him a duration bar in the center of his screen that so it's easier to monitor and to better time charges instead of a small red bar in the corner that can distract you. It can be really bad having to look at the bottom left of the screen to time your charges properly mid chase, especially on indoor maps or other areas with very tight and finnicky loops. I don't get it. How does their system allow someone's client to register using all the perks they want, even with modified stats, and not detect anything? Or how hard is actually to make a system that can detect that a survivor is moving over their speed cap when there are no modifiers at play like a perk, health state loss, or killer power like clowns? Or a system that can detect a ghost fac1 comments 352 views last activity

From what I think I understand the original license owners have to be engaged and negotiated with for everything that goes on with anything related to their IP in game. So it'd make sense if that's the reason cause they haven't even been able to release cosmetics for the killer since he came out. Same thing with Bubba aside from his eventual rework that took ages. Perhaps it's not impossible bu7 comments 301 views last activity

It shouldn't exist on a killer that's not actively debuffing the survivors with anything besides enabling his ability. It makes sense on Wesker. They get infected and now they can be 1 tapped with a slam while also being permanently slowed. It's a strong debuff and it should be cleansable. Nemesis however who already has built in self slow down with a power that upgrades doesn't need a mechanic4 comments 91 views last activity

Survivors can counter the addon too easily by just spam vaulting pallets, forcing wraith into mind games around his uncloak or just accepting the loss by uncloaking and forcing them off the pallet. Either option leading to the survivor wasting his time for free. For a killer that's not particularly strong it feels like needless counterplay that shouldn't exist. Just like the light burn effect.6 comments 51 views last activity

The only people who main hillbilly are hard dedicated to the playstyle of curving around loops. At the worst of skill levels it's a joke and at the highest of skill levels there's a massive amount of room for mistakes and counter play. Even when played perfectly it still doesn't offer consistent enough downs and down speed to even be strong, much less oppressive. This is why prior to his rework b3 comments 32 views last activity

Would make it easier to keep track of your chainsaw and time the token usage without having to look down at the bottom left while going around tight obstacles and risk bumping. Just reuse the same charge bar that's used for actually charging the chainsaw and tweak it slightly. Should save on asset work and make this a simple change to implement.0 comments 11 views last activity

This ended up being a nerf more than anything. I get the idea behind it was to give people a type of alternative healing perk by allowing them to get multiple medkits, but in practice it just doesn't work well. Other people take chests and you can't even find more than 1 half the time unless you bring in a Plunderer which itself is a waste of a perk slot since you're only using the aura reading a2 comments 51 views last activity

It's an OG pick that has been on the back burner for years. Despite that it still remains a favorite of mine. Could you make it an aura reading perk instead of a noise notification? With gen regression constantly getting nerfed I don't see why we couldn't get some large buffs to information perks, especially niche ones.11 comments 61 views last activity

Make it so when they drop items after being hit by franklin's you can see the same UI prompt that survivors do when passing over an item on the ground. Shows the item and it's attached addons. Gives franklin's more power in what it does cause you never know if you just smacked a brown medkit out of someone's hand or a purple medkit with god addons that you need to keep a close eye on. I like running Self Care builds and am perfectly fine with dedicating all of my perk slots to it. I get nerfing Circle of Healing since that perk is pretty disgusting. But could you make it so Self Care is still viable after the healing changes? I think 4 perk slots dedicated to healing without a medkit or boon should still be allowed to produce some sort of viable result.7 comments 101 views last activity

Give him a yellow tier meme addon that makes you overheat immensely quicker but gives him a massive bonus to movement speed and turn speed while overheated in chainsaw sprint. Thought it'd be fun to play with an addon that gives you a really cracked singular chainsaw sprint that's held back by a long cooldown. That way it's hard to abuse in short chases and gives him some fun shenanigans he can2 comments 21 views last activity

Even after his rework the killer remains weak due to a lack of map pressure and chase power. A perk build can only really band aid it so much, especially with strong slow down perks constantly getting nerfed. Make it so when Legion isn't in chase during feral frenzy he gets a massive movement speed bonus. This should eliminate getting countered by map design and SWFs communicating so survivo5 comments 31 views last activity

Make it so survivors have to hold E for a short period of time before dead hard goes off with a visual effect during the charge animation. This eliminates this weird point blank mind game meta of forcing killers to play around it, even if it's not actually there. Then add a visual indication to the survivor of some sort so the killer can see that the survivor has dead hard and it's ready to be us1 comments 21 views last activity

The whole reason why the killer fails is that frenzy wasn't fast enough to cover map distance when people preemptively ran. This leads to him having 0 map pressure, especially if the survivors are smart and just don't bother healing without the stupid boon totem. The movement speed buff is a drop in the bucket. I can't even tell if I'm actually faster after a hit and that's WITH the yellow addon.3 comments 61 views last activity

I like to run purely non item reliant build, specifically self healing builds cause that's what I enjoy. I always run Self Care, Botany, Desperate Measures, and then usually borrowed time cause I didn't have a perk that gave me a sufficient enough healing speed boost to warrant taking that slot. With Circle of Healing though I like the additional speed and it's a fun addition to the build. Howev8 comments 41 views last activity

Amongst the community Legion's various problems are well understood, as is the fact that he needs a rework. Arguably he's the weakest killer in the game and this makes him very unfun and frustrating to play the better the survivors get. Legion also relies on getting free injures on people and forcing them to wait out a timer while they mend. This is objectively unfun and uninteractive for survivo0 comments 21 views last activity

The idea is simple. First is unlock the cap on prestige and allow for as high of a level as needed. After a minimum required prestige rank, lets say 3 as an example, you unlock a secondary shop option within the bloodweb that allows you to directly purchase addons at the same or a slightly modified BP cost. The tier of addons available for direct purchase is based on your prestige. So when you0 comments 11 views last activity

The idea is a non hex perk that allows you to use a special action key or something while somewhat close to a generator and aiming at it to auto kick it without a time waste. It can have a short cooldown of like 15-20 seconds. If that's somehow too strong, which personally I don't think it is for a perk slot, then just remove the ability to apply perk effects and make it only apply normal regress8 comments 71 views last activity

If you want to try and entice players to stop using meta perks you have actually make the non meta perks strong enough to be considered in the first place, or at least functional enough to be viable. I personally love healing only builds with maybe only a borrowed time for when I'm playing with friends. I'd love to run the perk but it's just horrible and near unusable in it's current state. Reduce the user's repair speed by a large amount but in exchange buff his self healing speed by an also decent amount, probably through some sort of token system. Decrease the amount of hits required for the shield from 3 to 2 and make it infinite use. You could even make it so the shield only activates when it's a protection hit. Now you have a challenge perk that presents you with a unique0 comments 21 views last activity

The fundamental problem with DBD, the big screwed up reason why high level SWF play is as broken as it is, and to some extent even why normal play with good survivors is annoying, is that being injured or having a teammate hooked doesn't actually mean anything negative for the team. Apparently there's some movement problems that people have claimed is plaguing new billy, so I can't make an opinion on those. Could be intentional or could be a bug, but personally I'm not familiar enough with him to tell the difference. But the overheat mechanic seems fine. Against all odds you actually didn't screw over billy 3 ways from sunday. I'll take back every mean thing I've said about you guys and your balance changes. Bubba is also pretty cool. Killer addons are way too central in dead by daylight for them to be consumable. It's not like survivors where their gameplay is completely unhindered by not having items. Killer addons on a good number of killers are often more important to the killer than entire perk builds, some killers even barely above the line of playable without specific addon builds. Add in an in-game chat function. Add in a list of quick key call outs like other team based games. "I'm doing a gen" "I need healing" "I'm being chased" "Generator blocked" ect. Could be hotkeyed or from a radial menu. Put in a special ping key that when pressed reveals your aura to your teammates for a few seconds and put it on a 10-15 second cooldown while adding in the ping press to the chat0 comments 31 views last activity

Just read an interesting idea from a comment in general and thought it'd be a good idea with some expansion. Let SWF be seen and marked in the pre game lobby. Each player in a SWF squad will have a marker next to their name and it'll be color coded as a team to which ever SWF they're in. So lets say there's 2 teams of 2 then 1 team will have a purple dot over both members heads and the other0 comments 21 views last activity

I won't name any names, and this is valid criticism. This post will follow the rules and will have no reason why it should be moderated in anyway. There exists a human being. A hidden ninjutsu killer master of the 9th hall of the secret shaolin temple. Every killer Prestige 3, plays all of them at Rank 1, thinks pig is actually a good killer and 4k's with her, thinks generator speeds are COMPLETELY fine and he's more than content with the current state of things. Make feral frenzy a mode similar to ghostface, wraith, old doctor, ect. Lower the movement speed to start out with. 5% to drop it from 130% to 125% When in feral frenzy and you hit a survivor you gain killer instinct for a short duration. The regression speed is laughably unbalanced compared to how quickly survivors can hold space bar on a generator and complete it. It takes a solo survivor with no items or perk bonuses 80 seconds to complete a generator. A kicked generator takes 320 seconds to regress from full. Killer tools for slowing down the game shouldn't be as restrictive as they are. Pop, the current best slow down tool in the game, regresses a gen by only 20 seconds of solo repair time (11 for 2) in exchange for an entire survivor hook which can easily take over double or triple that time to actually acquire the hook to start with. I was thinking about it and DBD isn't in the same realm of other competitive games. Vocal people on forums always talk about how the game isn't balanced around the top players, shouldn't be balanced around the top players, and I've never seen any indication from the devs that said otherwise either. Normally competitive games focus on the highest level of play and balance from there, that's why th4 comments 91 views last activity

Well, what are the main issues? The game is heavily RNG based for one. Whether it be how map tilesets could either make or break a game for either side, or inconsistent skill check mechanics which either made things like Ruin broken or downright useless (looking at Autodidact here), and even things like Killer addons locked behind the blood web. Frenzy vault needs to be equivalent to a fast vault or faster. Sloppy butcher should be a built in effect that applies on hit. Legion button debuffs need to be atleast 90 seconds. It feels clunky as all hell having the entire thing locked with a large delay on it. It's not reaction based aiming, it's purely prediction based.
