Iron Will is good no doubt. I was just hoping for counterplay that doesn't depend on picking certain perks.
I do really want to start and use Quick and Quiet, but I don't think I even have it unlocked at level 3 for any of my survivors.
The thing is that iron will has quite a few situations where it's good, so it's on my mainboard for sure. Quick and quiet at any level is worth taking in my opinion

I mean, 50/50 is something that should be with all killers. More or less at least, since that means there's a mindgame at play that both the killer and survivor can win with equal chances. Of course the occasional safe pallet is fine. The only problem I have with Spirit is for one her counterplay is almost entirely luck based, and two while you are injured it doesn't feel like a 50/50 anymore. At least in my experience, which is why I made this post.
Does your counterplay example work while injured as well? I guess a Spirit can't tell on which side of a pallet or vault you are even if she can hear your sounds of injury. But once she brakes the pallet and you can't reach another pallet before she catches up to you by phasing while you are injured, the only thing you can do is try and juke her, but if she can hear you, that's not possible.
I run iron will usually, no mither will make you not leave blood if that's a trade-off you're willing to make. I personally like running iron will and quick and quiet, it opens up alot of possibilities to outplay many killers

Mindsets like this are what destroy the team, if it's going to be your first hook, you rather down every pallet then save it for lategame? I run alert all the time just to see which pallet my teammates has dropped just so i can plan my route, what about those who have no clue and ran towards an area that you have basically just down all pallets? Smart survivors know when to take a down instead of trying to drop unnecessary pallets
He said it's customs so there's really no risk involved. Even in publics what I said works if your team is doing gens. Think about how many pallets you leave behind in each game
-
Ignoring the 50/50 people, it's really about thinking like her, but she's gonna know you're trying to mislead her most times. I once met a p3 spirit who did not hit me once during an entire match because I kept thinking like her. I ran her to a pallet, ran slightly past it, walked back(fixated works well for this tactic), slammed it, fast vaulted it, waited 2 seconds, fast vaulted again, then slow vaulted, and by that time, her power ran out and she swung, hitting the wall.

@hocrux said:
If you're in a chase, better to take the down then continue dropping pallets, easy for killer to tunnel you if you drop every pallet, if you loop a killer and use your pallets wisely, killers are compelled to go for other survivors
Absolutely untrue. Use pallets when you feel unsafe. Once you learn how to loop decently then save them as long as possible. I'd suggest though OP trying to prolong chases as long as possible, which is something you just pick up as you play. Good thing it's customs because he may get some not friendly teammates who will misguide him.
-
Rank reset is stupid as is, I was rank 4 and now I'm 12 and can't get back up because any time I make a good play, I get camped and patrolled and tunneled. Then it goes something like this in Endgame chat
Me: enjoy the 1k lmao, you won't get better playing like that
Killer: haha noob xd

I don't see a downside, it's already in the load screen on mobile

this is dumb. So what you are saying is it's ok to be toxic because they need too man up?
Some swears are fine, but slurs should be reported and banned. Don't defend homophobic people who can't loose without their pride hurting.
Way to put words in my mouth lol, read my reply above this
-
Not irrelevant, you can't expect every single person to be nice to you in a competitive environment. I'm not saying it's right it's just stupid to expect it to not happen at all.
-
I mean what are people gonna do, not use available perks and resources? It's a game about murdering people not becoming the survivors buddy

Honestly I think noed is a pretty bad perk anyway. I've had to play with some pretty awful builds while I've been levelling all my killers up that I never used to play, meaning I've had a bunch of games with noed and whatever build I could throw together from limited perks, and it only activated once out of maybe five or six games. Then I got some better perks and didn't use it anymore.
Maybe it is just me, but I genuinely do not rate it at all from a killer perspective. As survivor it's annoying because it makes endgame altruism suicidal.
Noed is completely useless if you're an efficient killer, totally agree.

High purple ranks, waiting on my new PC, and I've barely played killer since reset.

Not sure why, but they spawn in little nooks and crannies that we can't get to. I ran into a few during the chapter 1 challenges.
Yeah I've seen ones that you have to stand in a particular spot, but never one that can't be accessed. Have an example?
-
I consistently play well with this clown build
Bbq
Pop
Ruin
NOED
I close chases relatively quickly, I usually try to fake breaking and vaulting to get a positional advantage, as well as throw bottles where I think the best route is

You guys who claim DCs are okay are always so innovative with reasons to justify DCing against a mean, bad manner killer.
Less than one minute into a game, working on a gen with another survivor who gets stalked and downed by Ghostface... insta-DC. What terrible thing was the killer doing that made them screw the team over? He wasn't camping, literally never even got to hook them. He wasn't tunneling, literally the first person he downed. He wasn't using broken Prayer Beads, Iri hatchet, insta saw. He wasn't that terribly broken, over performing Spirit. Wasn't playing "boring forever freddy."
Cuz he wanted to. You're not obligated to reasons people do things.

what does this response serve to do?
insult someone who's already dealt with enough toxicity?
brag about your oh-so-impressive ability to be desensitized to threats, insults, and otherwise toxic messages?
congrats on being unfazed by the negative and toxic behavior exhibited by so many in this community, but many of us prefer to not have to deal with that crap, and it's a valid complaint when all you really want is to enjoy a game without being harassed after every other match.
good on you for being just as toxic as those people sending hate messages you're really proving a point.
^.^
Threats that nobody will act on. Laugh at their salt and move onto the next game

Keys should have an animation of leaning over and unlocking the hatch, then swinging it open like a chest. About 5 or 6 seconds would do.

Camping Needs To Stop! Seriously I'm tired of playing a game and the Killer go to move is to camp the ---- outta the survivor! It's NOT needed! If you're the Killer when you put the person on the hook the damn hook turns yellow to let you know they're on the hook and you can go off to find someone else to hunt down, there's NO NEED TO CAMP ya jackholes! Just monitor the yellow hook and when the survivor is taken down THEN go after em, there's no need to be a camping little ----- it makes the game less fun when you do that, so just freakin' stop man. I've noticed lately that Hag, Doctor and Hillbilly Killers so this. One the Hag has traps that make it easier for her to come to your location if you are on the hook so you don't need to camp. The Doctor well they're just jerks they put you on the hook and then stand there like goobers shocking you "too death" while you're on the hook which is totally stupid and a waste of time and you wonder why people disconnect all the time from the game because of lame a-- ---- like that. Don't get me started on Hillbilly, I mean what is the damn point of camping when you're Billy when you're as big as a house and have a chainsaw, same with Leather he does the same thing. I think it's mostly "kids" and newcomers to the game who camp because 1.) they don't know how to play, 2.) the Killer who camps probably think it's funny to just waste everyone's time to be a camping little punks because they've seen others do it so they'll do it too and 3.) probably little kids who want to be annoying and waste the gamers time why camping because that's they're go-to move because they suck as that Killer.
Oh I know what you're thinking that campers is a way of playing the game, it might be but when you play a round and you get camped almost every game it takes the joy outta playing. I don't camp when I'm the Killer and believe me I could if I wanted to because I can't see that well, so camping would be a good way to get kills BUT I ain't gonna go do it because one it's annoying, it's not needed and I don't want to be reported for being unfair to the game which is basically what it is.
What do you guys think? I'd love to hear what y'all think on the subject matter.
Wah wah I don't want you to play how you want to play so I can win wah - basic translation for you guys who don't wanna read all these mental gymnastics.
-
Hate me all you want but I love being toxic. I like making the other side want to strive to make me look bad. It feeds me.
-
Bird Feeder - Years of feeding birds in the park has attached you to these creatures. Run 4/8/12% faster for 4/8/12 seconds after startling a crow, then enter a cooldown of 24 seconds. Crows caw 25/50/75% quieter(passive).

It means you literally can't get at the totems if they spawn in an inaccessible location. The only play you have if that happens is not to cleanse any and hope your team does the same until it procs, and hope it isn't one of the ones you can't get to.
Where are there inaccessible totems though? Don't think I've encountered that in over a year of playing

You are not paying attention. The OP already clarified in a second post above that they were referring to when all 4 survivors re slugged and the killer leaves them all to bleed out. There should then be a concede button. Not a rage quirk. The match is over and the killer is bot being robbed of anything point-wise. It is just saving a few minutes to reach the same conclusion.
Tgough I don't slug matches like that, I think it makes logical sense.
There shouldn't be though. Just wait to bleed out
-
Everyone can play how they want. No matter what either side wants to say. Be as toxic as you want at your own risk. I throw around derogatory terms in post game chat and have never been banned. That doesn't mean I don't realize I MAY be banned.

Survivors are too lazy and whiny to do something that simple, just look at this forum.
I mainly play survivor and I still find time to do my bones lol. Everyone thinks it's "genrush then gaterush" but your game isn't over until you're out the gate. So take the time to find and cleanse.

Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure taking the game hostage is already a punishable offense. If the killer slugs all 4 survivors and just bm’s then that’s taking the game hostage, right? Seems to me that this issue already has a solution then.
No, taking the game hostage is where it's impossible to proceed. Like trapping all 4 survivors in the game bathroom and not moving until they DC

A surrender would mean losing whatever you would lose for being sacraficed at that moment. You don't lose BP because you never lose BP although you would be denied the ability to gain more BP obviously. And you'd only depip if you'd already depip because again, that's what happens when you lose in this game.
Then just DC bro, there's no helping your mindset idk then

What a facile argument. Survivors don't control when totem spawns are inaccessible, and survivors don't control their teammates.
What does that even mean? Find them and cleanse them. You can even do it *after* someone is hit with noed and still get everyone and leave *shocked expression*
-
Do totems then
-
@NuclearBurrito said:

I'm not any less punished then I otherwise would be.
You're asking to not depip and to not lose bloodpoints when you all "mutually concede". That's losing punishment. Just bleed out, take the L, and move on. Jesus DbD players are such dense babies

It's not losing if you're not punished for it. Just take the L and move on
-

If you are surrendering then that means that you admit that you lost. It's just a way to save time.
That's why the EGC was introduced, so the killers wouldn't have to waste time chasing out survivors that are BMing.
It's not admitting defeat if there's no penalty
-

If you can't take losing then this game definitely isn't for you. Try something easier and more mindless
-
@NuclearBurrito said:

Taking the L and moving on is the entire point of a Surrender mechanic.
No, that's avoiding the L and the penalty for not doing your objective. Take the actual L and move on with your life.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
The reason why there is a penalty for dodging in the first place is because it screws over everyone else. However if everyone collectively agrees to do it then no one is being screwed over so it's fine.
I doubt in most cases the killer would want to just quit. Not fair to them now is it? Just take the L and be onto the next game dude
-
@Hex_ToasterBath said:

I think the point of the "§urrender" button would be for them to all leave the game, without any negative side effects.
Then stay until the game is over? Why should there be a way to dodge with no downside?
-
There is. It's called "leave game". You depip for conceding early though.
-
Spirit has the woosh noise that is no longer silent with prayer beads. She always has an audio cue for when she phases. Don't know what OP is on but it's hard to miss.

Can confirm. I play like a rank 15 but I'm rank 3. Literally took me 3 days of casual playing to get there

I had someone who stepped in a trap of mine, got out, then not even 15 seconds later, stepped into another trap, then DCed about 2 seconds later.
Then at end game they complained that I tunneled them.
I had Honing stone.
Like ffs, you literally tunneled yourself. Those traps didn't even have my fingerprints on them.
"You literally tunneled yourself" is the most accurate description for this lmao
