Please take a look at the Trickster Feedback thread built by the officials. There are a lot of opinions and feedback being developed.
It is not at all reflected in the content of the most recent update, so whether the management will pick it up or not is another story. ......
-
Rest assured, the Trickster will be nerfed. In the most recent PTB alone, Trickster was nerfed from the base kit when only the UR add-on should have been adjusted due to the survivor mains continuing to make loud noises.Chucky also remains in a tough position as a 4.4/m killer.
Survivor has gained an action visualization HUD implementation, base kit BT, and an un-defensible generator system named AFC in the last year or so.Despite the tweaks to the park, Survivor play is getting more comfortable every day with the various features implemented as a base kit.Don't give up, in 2025 you will probably get two or three enhancements including kindred in the base kit.

I'm on Xbox and cannot check anyone's profiles at all, and also cannot use their Anonymous Mode either. What would you suggest we do?
Go PC or off crossplay.

I run anon profile, I don't cheat, don't have a bad attitude, nor am I a streamer. Not really sure why some people are so afraid of anonymous profiles.
Even if you are not cheating, other players cannot be sure of your innocence if they cannot see your profile. In the normal case, you can check for past bans due to cheating, which makes it even more difficult to play against anonymous players on the PC version.
-
The reason is that at the time of the PTB, it was known to be flawed for not possessing enough mobility and chase ability for a 4.4/m killer, but for some reason it was nerfed overall except for a few items at the time of this implementation.
-
Camping, tunneling, and 3gen strategies are all actions that are executed when the killer player, regardless of his or her skills, sees a benefit to the game development and the survivor's playing.
However, strategies for the killer to try to execute as many survivors as possible are dealt with because they cause frustration to the survivor. This appears to be a consistent adjustment so far.If we are going to go that far already, why not just make it PvE with bot killers instead of PvP?
-
I hope this is not a repeat of Hillbilly and Freddy's, I fear that if they make "deep adjustments" to the mainstream M1 killer perk when the rework (probably nerf) warning is coming, there will finally be no reason to use killers other than Nurse Bright against PTs.

Bingo. You also can't retroactively put it on when you realize the Killer is trying to 3 gen. Once you're in the match, it's too late, so equipping something as a counter is not possible.
What are your thoughts on replacing the same thing with crawl leave, hook destruction, light PT, etc.?
Or are you only going to fix the items related to survivor frustration, as mentioned in the Trickster section of the latest patch notes? Certainly the comfort level of survivor play has increased greatly over the past year, but with it the game has become less about thinking and more about monotonous power plays.
It seems to me that Killer is forced to play with one mistake being fatal, while Survivor is forced to play in a comfortable but monotonous manner with numerous auxiliary wheels.
-
I feel that BhVR's adjustments for survivors are generally on point, but the adjustments for killers are sloppy. Nothing has changed since the Hillbilly, which was said to have just the right strength, was made a "deep" adjustment that ruined its feel and strength.
-
The knife throwing speed has been slowed and increased by the number of knives needed to do damage, so it is clearly weaker on terrain with tall obstacles, minus the faster footing. In strong terms, there is no need to use the Trickster.
In addition, his main event projectile speed is also very slowed down, making it useless to trigger it on anything but the most open terrain. he was certainly too strong in PTB with certain add-ons, but even so, his weakness in this implementation is just too much.
This is the same process as when the hillbilly was nerfed. When management makes a change by calling it a profound adjustment, it is only a convenient adjustment for those who do not normally play killers.
-
@TheArbiter said:
But he got buffed overall, he was at 3 knives per second before the PTB so technically he didn't even "change" in that regard
- 4.6m/s base speed
- 8 knives to get main event
- No more knife recoil
The quicker laceration decay is cancelled out by being able to use main event pretty much in every chase
Overall he is way better than before and he stomps pubs
Try using him once. The main event throwing speed is also slowed down to match the reduction in normal throwing speed, so there is no point in activating him.
The old throwing speed has been raised by the number of hits needed to do damage at the old throwing speed, making it more difficult to do damage than before, depending on the terrain.
He was certainly too strong in PTB when using the Ultra Rare add-on, but he is a significant nerf when implemented on live servers.

I keep seeing people worried that they are going to nerf chucky after release, and so they will not buy him.
I don't really get this, they have barely nerfed the last 12 killers released at all. Most have been buffed or received no changes. Xenomorph did get the missed tail nerf but i honestly found that change pretty minor, and it was a ptb to live revert.
Mastermind especially is a very popular and strong killer and he has received 0 changes in over a year.
The most recent new killer that got nerfed after release was TWINS from nearly 3 years ago.
So i don't really understand why people have these concerns when it comes to Dead by Daylight specifically.
When it comes to other games i absolutely understand. Hero shooters, new heroes get nerfed after release frequently. Do people get this fear from other games?
Let me know what you think
You forgot Knight.
-
BhVR is just a just-right strength killer with profound adjustments. What they mean by just right is frustration on the part of the survivor.
-
If a party of survivors can conduct a "normal" chase and understand the situation and share information, quite often 2-3 people can escape from the ritual. the changes in the MMR have only resulted in a "normal" party being assigned to the majority of killers.
-
Even before the skill rate cap increase, SWF was already rampant on the Asia server with all the items and offerings. Playing solo survivor makes me feel sorry for the opposite.
Killers other than Nurse, Bright, Spirit and Cenobite are becoming harder to execute. What will happen in the future?
-
Survivor frustration is the sole criterion for all decisions.
-
There are too few advantages to hanging on hooks other than BP.
-
In addition, we have identified that it is unclear whether we can detect survivors in the vicinity of the portal.
-
What do you think about the fact that it has already been weakened and turned into a perk where you have to press Ready while praying that the hook generation at the start of the match is not biased or that you are not matched with a group of saboteurs?
-
DbD is not a party game, it is a competitive game, if one person is gone, the efficiency of the gen will decrease, so you just have to take that into account and make tunnel non-tunneling decisions based on the match and situation.
-
Finally, only 5 or 6 different parks will be allowed to be used by the survivors for the killer.
-
Because neither the entity nor the survivor is satisfied.
-
I have been playing since 2018 and I find that the scattering gets worse every year and more times than not it doesn't stick. The indoor maps are especially bad and it is hard to tell at the earliest whether it is a survivor cheat or a glitch.

Hey developers and everyone else,
there have been many posts for a long time that have repeatedly asked for to remove map offering because they are not good for the game. It feels so disadvantaged when one side is perfectly prepared to play on a map that is for the otherside really bad (e.g. Nurse on Midwich with No Where To Hide; survivors with Badham and going down to the basement in school when the killer basement is not there or going to Garden Of Joy ect.). There is also no excuse with "map offerings are needed for achivement" - just remove them no big deal.
So, can you, the developers, remove map offering.
At any rate, it seems certain that you have never played nurse. The elementary school nurse is certainly powerful in terms of mobility, but it is not easy for everyone to get 4K because one mistake can send you warping in the wrong direction. When playing as a survivor, it is not a bad map because you can use walls and other objects to cut off the nurse's line of sight and entice her to make a mistake.
I generally agree with the removal of map offerings, especially when SWF is used for purposes such as hook breaking. It is also not healthy when a stealth killer designates an indoor map, which can be difficult to deal with unless the survivor is in a party that can share the killer's actions via VC.
-
I guess they found another vulnerability recently and there are really a lot of cheaters. When playing on the Asia server, I always have to make sure that there are no anonymous players in the lobby for every game and that I can look at the player profiles to see if they have any ban history before I feel comfortable playing a match. Even then, a match can still be blindsided by Epic players who are unable to check their profiles.
-
She has undergone severe adjustments in terms of whether she is fun to use or not, whether she is strong or not.
-
Regardless of the type of killer, at 16m, it is no longer possible to stand not only on the hook but also near the defended Gen or Totem. Is it better for the survivors if there is no longer a killer in the match?
-
You may not know this, but a game where humans are running rampant, repeatedly body-blocking superhuman killers, making calls and sharing vision using Nenwaves, is not a horror game.
-
As Survivors gain experience in battles, they will begin to focus on chases that don't run in a straight line like Huntress or Deathslinger. Also, just doing a simple palette loop is a 4.4 killer and can save you a lot of time.
Rather than using the ability in a chase, I think it's better to activate it for the purpose of closing the distance with a distant opponent or passing under a pallet.

Hi!
So basically MFT is gonna be dead soon, this perk literally gets killed by planned change.
Again survivior gets something good nerfed, while all killers run pop + pain res + 2 more gen regression perks every game which makes game impossible to win most of the time - why aren't killer perks getting reworked if the pick rate is so high?
AFC was implemented just the other day, and base kit BT and behavior visualization HUD were implemented last year, but have we already forgotten? They gave a huge buff to survivors and made my Survivor play more comfortable. At the same time, the tension during the game has diminished over the years.
Those Gen-interfering perks used by Killer have already been weakened or made obsolete numerous times over the past few years. The perks you mentioned are only being used at a high rate because there is nothing else that can withstand their use. If Ruin and Eruption were returned to their old effects, I think the game would probably have more variety, but what do you think?
-
I think they should either create an incentive for players to want to play matches against SWF, or separate ranked matches and casual matches. The world of a horror action game doesn't need an army-like SWF that communicates via radio.
-
Have you had a conversation with family or friends recently? How about going outside for a walk? Are you getting enough sunlight?
-
You think the implementation of the Anti Facecamp and Gen system and the removal of hook grabs is not enough?
-
If he doesn't get buffs, he'll be buried with a bunch of crappy killers as before.
-
There's no way an organization would be so smart as to rework and nerf the Knight, Skull Merchant, Alien, and other soon-to-be-released killers this year alone.

Killers have no terror radius in the void.
Killers get speed boost and no terror radius out of the void.
I've grabbed and surprised so many survivors these past weeks.
I've also used the haunts to detect survivors.
Also I've got up to 150KBP in a match (but more usually around 80KBP)
It was pretty fun for me.
If you can't chase a killer opponent who can't use their abilities using three powerful windows, then there's a problem with the play of the survivor you played against. In order to increase the killer's movement speed, it must remain in place for a few seconds, during which time the survivors will exit from another Void.
-
Even with this much upper adjustment, he will not become a Tier 1 killer as he still requires high play skill and aim. Still, I'm very happy that the design is such that I want to use it from time to time and want to improve my playing skills and master it.
Well, there are as many killers as there are stars that have not been adjusted or have been revised downward through the PTB, so I don't know yet.
-
DH is a perk that is used quite frequently even now, so MFT will probably be brought in as well. You will need to consider the combination of perks more carefully than you do now, so you won't be able to benefit from using them casually.
-
I don't think it's overpowered on its own, but if a SWF party whose goal is to abuse Killer players and work together using voice chat, it's a perk that can end a match without ever getting hung up on the hook. with CoH, a solo survivor. The balancing between VCPT is hopelessly lame after all these years.
-
If it is difficult for you to play survivor in your current environment with a base kit park and a behavior sharing HUD, then grow up and invite a friend to run SWF.
-
This will be the perfect update for a relaxing cup of coffee while watching the fire!
-
As a survivor: the most efficient action to get points is to repair the Gen, so in most matches, 5 cars are repaired and you have a pretty good chance of escaping. A very good event with a lot of points.
As a Killer: when do I find survivors, chase them, hang them on hooks, manage Gen and get into ......Void and stuff? If you try to execute as many survivors as possible in a serious match, you will only have time to enjoy the event after the match is over when 5 Gen units are repaired or everyone is down.
Whoever thought of this event thinks that there are 10 Gen's or that the survivors are supposed to hide in the grass without fixing the Gen?
-
How many more base kit parks do I need to implement? Selfcare and DH also needed?
-
If you don't mind if Survivor's matching wait time increases by another 30 minutes.
-
I can only think that they implemented MFT to cover up the fact that they don't have the ability to crack down on cheaters and leave it alone.
-
She is still Tier G after the rework. She is rather worse than before in terms of mobility in defense of gen and hooks.
Even in competitive DbD tournaments she is treated as a non character pick. The only way I can think of to make her any weaker is to make her unable to hurt survivors.
-
The match moves in a big way: a killer goes into Void and before it comes out about 30 seconds later, the rescue from the hook is over and two gen cars are fixed.
-
Are you turning away from the zone where three pallets and one Window are densely packed together?
Yes, it is not that you only play Survivor or that you are not good at chasing. The placement of objects on the map by the management is poor.
-
It's not fun, as if we are forced to play the killer way.
I laughed when the AFC gauge saved about 30% just passing near the hook when the killer was going in the opposite direction.
-
The camera work bug has also been left unattended for about 6 months, what does BhVR have against the Cenobites?
