People defending the DC for hatch are the most boosted yellow ranks ever. Hope they all uninstall and go back to Fortnite. Entitled ochido wannabes the lot of em.
I'm purple but whatever. Ochido was funny--never thought he was all that good, but he was very entertaining.

This irritates me so much when there are 2 survivors left and you down one for them to DC and open the hatch instantly. This happens actually quite a bit. Last game I had one down and was looking for hatch and then found the other and her teammate DCed and the hatch was right in front of the living survivor. It's a deliberate cheat and a show of bad sportsmanship.
If I am going to lose a PIP anyway I will 100% dc to give a team mate the hatch or if hooked suicide if I can keep the killer from getting a 4k. And as for right now anyway no dc penalties for Xbox.

Exactly. There are so many legit strategies in this game (on both sides) that take little to no skill. There's nothing wrong with utilizing them, but to presume utilizing such a strategy makes you a "good player" is ridiculous. They might even make you effective, but effective doesn't necessarily equate to good.
Actually it probably means the exact opposite of you being good--it probably means instead you are trash. I play killers very rarely and just for the BP for the dallies. I bring in NOED. I at times will get a kill or two...maybe even three, but I'd never taunt anyone as a killer because I am pure trash (actually I'd need to get a bit better to even reach the level of trash)...now as a survivor...that might be a different story. I have been taunted by survivors though...typically someone I killed using NOED.

What better way to make the game even more unfun for killers by adding OoO to the shrine at a time like this in Dead By Daylight. In my honest opinion, OoO needs a rework to something else.
I'm so glad I barely play killer anymore. I really wouldn't want to go into every game in fear of multiple OoOs. Seems like a buff to solo survivor.
Not only that, but the matchmaking is still #########. Do you devs really expect say a green rank killer to still potentially go up against higher-ranked survivors who have more time in the game and will most likely know how to loop well with OoO added on top? I think adding it to the shrine was a very bad move and will only hurt the game once survivors learn how to use it effectively.
And BBQ and then Hex Ruin back to back a number of months ago was perfectly fine though right?

I mean how is anyone supposed to do anything against this? If anyone tried to unhook me, we would be downed instantly. I know that what the others did was the right thing to deal with this but I kinda wish that wasnt the only solution.
I know that camping can be necesary if the survivors are about to escape and you still haven't killed anyone, but this is just ridiculous. I also know that the devs don't really approve of facecamping but they don't do anything about it either. I mean how is this supposed to be fun for either side? The killer preetty much wasted his time and I was supposed to just sit there and watch as this guy just did the most scummy thing I have ever seen in any game. At least with the other killers someone can rescue even if the person is being facecamped but against leatherface there just isn't a way to save either person in the interaction
It isn't fair and the killer is both 1) an idiot and 2) plays very scummy, but what you'll be told is well the killer will already be punished if everyone else just plays smart and does gens. He'll get 1K (sadly it will be you), get maybe 8K in bp, and he'll depip. This isn't enough. If a killer camps (say he is within in 16M) and there is no survivor within the same 16M of the hook his BP should regress and it continues to regress until it reaches zero and at the end of the match he will lose 2 pips (like the old dc would). There would be no camping penalty if he camped the last survivor or if the gates had been powered. Will this ever happen...of course not. Just take it, lose a pip and perhaps unload on him in the end game chat. It isn't fair, but beyond losing a few BP and PIPs the devs aren't going to address this. Mostly people who act like this are just plain stupid and have like 20 hours in game and rank 19s and just are well too stupid to understand how dumb camping like this is. I don't play killer, I don't like killers, but I just can't see how fun it would to stand around for 2 minutes watching someone struggle as you rev up the chainsaw over and over...and it also causes people to react pretty badly too. So when killers whine about being sent death wishes...well it is because of stuff like that that causes people to do things like wishing someone gets some dread disease say.

Dedicated Servers are live on all platforms now. XBOX was the last platform to have peer to peer connection. However 2 days ago the devs also added their trash bin servers there so I'm not surprised people are thinking every killer lagswitches.
Xbox is back to P2P as the dedicated servers were trash and caused high ping for everyone apparently. I didn't have any issues with the new servers really and have had two awful games with terrible lag by the killers playing at McDonald's or something.

Got accused with "lag switch". Bubba (not facecamp version 👏) on Crotus against four SWF, 4K. Lag switcher with servers? After P2P is gone, anyone seen "lag switchers"?
Xbox went back to P2P and not sure if they were lag switching but did encounter this piece of garbage Wraith that was lagging me into the ground--it was so bad I couldn't even wiggle. Unleashed on them via DM--they didn't respond...oh well. So yeah I dc'ed that game. Another time a few days before I rezed into the game being carried by this trash Billy. Pretty bad when you start the game being carried to the hook and yes...I dc'ed on that one too. But on PS4 and PC they are dedicated servers so in theory lag switching is impossible as you are playing off the DBD servers and not some killer playing off his next door neighbor's wifi.

Number 3. Big time.
In fact, can we stop pretending stealth is a valid playstyle?
It is a 100% valid playstyle as long as you are doing something. So if I using stealth do three gens, two totems and unhook someone I suppose that wasn't a valid playstyle after all.

1) Don’t run Urban Evasion. Learn to loop, hide better or just start running to a safer area.
2) Don’t run Self Care. Bring a medkit instead.
3) If you see that a survivor is getting chased, you no longer have an excuse to play stealthy and walk/crouch.
4) Don’t let the killer generate pressure because you wan’t to “save” your Sprint Burst while going to the next gen or making a hook save.
I run UE and there is nothing wrong with that perk as long as you actually go and do things. Self-care is useful but without a medkit painfully slow and if he has sloppy butcher makes it even worse. I prefer to bring a med kit as a crutch and then run inner strength and detective's hunch--it has the added bonus of making you do totems, of course I go after them anyway with reckless abandon. Nothing better for some killer to bring in NOED and you kill all his totems before it can activate or better yet he has two or three hex perks and you kill them all reducing him to a one perk killer. And if a survivor is being chased I would hope I'd have already UE'ed over to a gen someplace.

I don't agree with this one, with my usual red ranks SWF if she get's corrupted we all hide until she looses it, there you go.
With a SWF team we all did and it worked out but if as a solo I almost always die if we cleanse.
-
As a survivor, yeah I am going to favor a map that 1) gives me the best chance to escape and 2) makes the killer's life as bone breaking painful as possible and if say I have an offering that will send me to that map I'll burn it. I love Yamaoka. It's dark, has tall grasses and bamboo which helps my dark GG Noob clothes blend in as I UE all over the map doing gen after gen.
-
Don't (in general) cleanse against the Plague and turn her into a super huntress. When people do that it almost makes you want to dc or go hide in a corner until they all die so you can just find the hatch and leave.
-
Sometimes you can't help but run toward a gen. If a killer gets run toward you doing a gen rarely did they know that. I rarely 99 doors and unless they are camping hard I can usually unhook them and give them a chance to escape. I agree not to let scummy killers rank up or as far as that goes I rather not see killers in general rank up, but I don't really care if killers get nerfed. I'm not going to shed any tears over that, but I am not one to say this or that perk should get nerfed either.

I only have a few of the killers. We bought the DLC for BBQ and I accidently bought Legion with Sherds thinking everyone (all three accounts) would get to use him and no only I would. We got the special edition so I have more killers than others I guess--I have Freddie, the Doctor, Hillbilly and the Cannibal, Legion as I said, the standard killers of course like trapper, the hag, nurse, etc but I don't have any of the others like Oni (I think he is pretty much trash anyway and I don't see him all that often), GF, the Demogorgon (trash too), Spirit, Clown or the Plague (and if you don't cleanse she is trash but of course they always cleanse don't they? So of the 18 killers, I have 12 of them...of the 20 survivors I have 18 and will get the new survivor as well--only Adam and Steve are the ones I don't have and of the 18 I have now, seven are PIII and one is PII and one is PI (have a few others that could be PI as I am at level 50)--have no killers at PI and none I could even get to PI. I have played a few killers I see like Myers, the Doctor, but others I either don't have or I like them even less than most killers so don't play them at all--I don't do chainsaws, don't like the Wraith or the Pig or the Nurse (who I never really see and if I do usually it is going to be an easy game because the person is trash playing her), I don't like the Hag either. If I actually would play killer I'd play trapper because he is easy, but he will get stomped by anyone who has any sense. By the time he sets up probably 2 or 3 gens will be done already.
-
Not saying it can't happen, but pretty hard to hack the consoles. Apparently that perk exists as an unused perk and can only be obtained by hacking. It was an early version of left behind--for every survivor that escapes you get a speed action bonus of 7.5, 15 and 25% Frankly I like seeing the hatches better than the speed bonus. So yeah, I'd report the person.
-
I really hate the lab map, I hate Lery's and hate the Game. I like Yamaoka the best, then Haddonfield and the Pale Rose. Pale Rose and Yamaoka both fit into my stealth style of play and even if they broke BT, Haddonfield is still pretty good with that perk. Red Forest and the chapel map are good as well.

Also, try killers, get a feel for their powers strengths and weaknesses. It will help you I promise.
An example I give is technically a different game, but it's Identity V which plays very similarly. I'm a Hunter main as I just prefer that role. However, because of my experience playing as all the Hunters , when I play survivor, I know their counters. I've legit kited Hunters longer than the characters who are designed to kite as characters who are designed to suck at it because I know the Hunters weaknesses and I know the maps.
I play killers if there is a daily. Of the 81 days I have in game (I am a devotion level 7) maybe a total of 1 day will have been as a killer (maybe even less). Obviously my killer rank is very low (rank 16 or 17 I think) and thus usually play pretty bad survivors. Had two dailies yesterday...chase survivors as Freddie for 180 seconds and catch three survivors in a bear trap. I got a 3K in one and a 2K in the other (should have been a 3K for the trapper too but she slipped off at the last second right as I got her to the hook and was able to run out). I am awful at killer, but then I don't like killers so not really important to me to play them.
-
At this point Xbox doesn't have DC penalties as they took down the dedicated servers, but one game last night the killer's lag was so bad I had no choice but to dc--the game was literally unplayable.
-
It depends. If the killer is stupid and camps from the second he hooks someone or circles the hook coming by every three seconds to tunnel the guy to death the second he is unhooked...yeah I don't really fault any survivor facing that unleashing hell on the killer after the game and the way you stop a killer from bringing something in you don't want to see is have some other survivor and then switching at the last second. I am never going to bring in a key and stand there for how long it takes to start the game and give the killer time to add something I don't want to see.
-
I am stealthy...I run Feng as my main and wear the "GG Noob" cosmetic. I run UE, SC (though once I can get through this head-on rift challenge I am going to inner strength and detectives hunch), BL and typically left behind (though I'll replace that with detectives once I drop SC). I find a gen, then another, if I come across a totem I'll do that and I'll try to unhook anyone I can, heal anyone I can, open the exit...wait around to say goodbye to the killer and then leave and hopefully I'll see the killer just once--at the exit gate as I run out. Now if I am found I'll do my best to escape the chase but not what I am all that good at nor what I like to do. I practice against low rank killers as a smurf just to practice escaping as they are basically bots--can be fun at times, but doing a Benny Hill routine all game is not my thing. I rather do objectives, never see the killer and leave. Typically in horror movies after all you don't try to find the killer.
Currently rank 7, been as high as rank 2, last season was rank 5. I don't exactly hide in the corner all game, but I don't go out of my way to find the killer to have him chase me either.
