The killers you play range from not very good to a little above average. If you truly want easier chases and quicker downs then I suggest investing in spirit, nurse, billy, or freddy. I don't know your rank but a good team of red ranks, especially if they are on comms, will dismantle most of these killers.

So are killers expected to only play spirit, nurse, billy, and freddy if they want to stand a chance against top survivors? I feel like every killer should be able to have the advantage against survivors and be able to apply pressure just as much the others, which unfortunately is not the case for many of them. For example, trapper has to pick his power up from the floor (think of how ridiculous that sounds), then he has to put it down again to actually activate it. Hillbilly starts off with insane mobility and an insta down attack. You can see the huge gap in potential for these two killers. I feel like some killers need a huge buff so that they're on par with the others. And to the survivors that complain about that, maybe that "Rank 1" at the top of your screen should be a "Rank 10". You're not skilled for pressing one button at a gen, learn how to deal with pressure and earn Rank 1.

  • I would like being able to place my hex totem. I feel like there's too many instances where it spawns right where the survivors are or in an open area. It'll most likely get destroyed and you can't afford to spend the entire match defending it.

  • @Kagrenac said:

huh? I don't know about you but decreasing BP isn't the best way to change things.

Definitely agree. If anything, I'd love an increase in bloodpoints for everyone. It takes forever to level up lmao

  • Do you even play killer? You realize how important endgame collapse is, right? It's meant to keep survivors from staying in the game too long and stalling. Also, why does it matter if the killer gets a hit right before you leave? You won the game already.

I do agree though that you should get points for the madness skill checks.

  • Yeah. I just want to say: I don't know how much effort the DBD Team puts into this game, but it certainly doesn't show that they've worked hard on it for the time I've played. The bugs and other issues that people complain about daily on this forum is evidence enough to show that there's a problem. These issues don't seem to get fixed as fast as people would hope. The event just substantiates that there's a lack of effort put into this game. Not only do the crowns seem a bit lazy, there's also the offerings that are bugged and the event items are way too rare (I barely have much of them despite the many bloodwebs I've been through) . It makes you wonder, do they not do thorough testing before releasing something new?

And I know the DBD Team is working at home right now due to the coronavirus so they can't work as quickly and efficiently. However, bugs have been a problem for a very long time even before the pandemic started.

  • The event items are insanely rare on bloodwebs and difficult to find in chests from my experience. Whats the point of releasing these items for your 4th anniversary if people can't even get that many of them to use during the event? Because of the bloodpoint offering bug as well, this event is looking dismal so far. I guess that's their "Thank you" for supporting the game.

  • :/ what can I say?

The matchmaking is horrible right now. It is why this game doesn't provide an enjoyable experience to many newer players. They get turned off by all the looping and overall, better performances by the high rank players they match with. It discourages them from playing and they most likely move on to something else I'd imagine. It's unfortunate, but there's suppose to be a new matchmaking system implemented. However, I honestly doubt everything will be better after that system is here.

More likely monitor and abuse instead of knock out. Knock out for SWF is like play without perk.

I started using Monitor and abuse, infectious fright, Surveillance, and Ruin.

Surveillance and Ruin have good synergy and let me know where people are on the map while regressing gens at the same time. Monitor and abuse for the surprise attacks. And Infectious Fright for the chain attacks. Now.....is that not pure evil?

Exactly, leave everyone slugged don't even bother hooking them. Make these toxic survivors suffer!!!

I have a more evil build:

Doc with corrupt, whispers, distressing and Franklin's demise.

Equiped ONLY if you see a survivor with an event item in the lobby.

When whispers is active, shock. Then find the survivor with the event item and hit dm with Franklin's. Then immediately dc, making them lose their event item that they tried so hard to get >:)

woah dude, im evil, but you're on another level.

  • yeah this is happening on my nintendo switch too, what a drag

  • I reported it and no response -_-

they replied to every other person after me though. nice.

  • Yeah i know the build I'm running is not super optimal, but its just for fun. I usually run BBQ, Infectious Fright, STBFL, Brutal Strength. Works very well.

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

I would replace stbfl with monitor and maybe add distressing to the pack so when someone is slugged, nobody can see their aura and everyone is revealed to you with each down. Now that's evil

    Knock out

    Infectious Fright

    Distressing

    Monitor and abuse

Crazy terror radius that synergizes well with infectious fright.

  • Your first post on the forums, and this is what you choose to say? Lol. Not even a hello.

  • I agree. It would make every survivor unique in a way. Right now, it doesn't matter which survivor you use as they can all have the same perks. On the other hand, however, passive abilities could make some survivors more useful than others so you'll keep seeing generally the same characters every game.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I have to disagree with your 2nd point.

I think the devs do an absolutely wonderful job with their community engagement and communication.

They give us answers to questions and reveal new content when they feel it’s READY to be communicated/shown.

Nobody, including BHVR ever wants to make the embarrassing mistake of communicating something too early only to then find in the near future it was unavoidable to make changes small or large to what was originally promised. Hence why they’re hesitant to just answer any questions the community just demands of them.

So why have QnA if they're just not going to give a definite answer? They provide no valuable information from the dev streams I've seen. :/

If you don't have the exact answers for our questions, then don't host a stream to waste our time. The answers seem to be very vague and along the lines of "We're not ready to reveal that information yet." That doesn't sound like meaningful communication to me.

  • You forgot to say "Thank you for coming to my Ted-Talk." Lol but that's beside the point.

I definitely agree with all that you're saying, especially with the Operation Health and Rework. The way I see it, the problems stem from BHVR's greed to constantly put out chapter after chapter to maintain a constant influx of revenue. If they were to sacrifice one or two chapters to focus on other issues within the game like bugs and imbalances, then those issues would get fixed.

I would also like to add one more problem to your list:

Content creators within the DBD community influence players to buy the DLCs every time a new one is released. Otzvarda and Truetalent, for example, are Fog Whisperers so BHVR provides them with special benefits. This results in them rarely criticizing BHVR for anything as they want to maintain those benefits. If the people watching these influencers are being told that the game is fine, they'll most likely believe it. Content creators have a huge impact.

I love this game. But I want it to be better.

I've never spent real money on mere cosmetics only with in game currency. That includes survivors in dbds case since survivor don't have different abilities just a different player model.

So I would charge the most profitable amount if I were them as well seeing as it's for aesthetics so it doesn't matter if it's bought or not.

Presumably, if the price was lower, would more people not be tempted to buy these skins? That could be more profitable.

  • @Rasinbran said:

Yeah just don't buy the stuff unless it's on sale or don't support it by spending that much. It's very simple and you just look foolish complaining about a cosmetic that doesn't mean that much.

It's not just about the cosmetic. It's about game developers, in general, thinking it's ok to give us content not worth the price. I don't spend money on skins anymore and I hope others have the same views as me when it comes to this.

  • @Macymj6 said:

to me the prices aren't bad at all. 10$ for a legendary skin isn't bad. especially compared to games like fortnite. the cheryl skin is expensive because you're basically getting a whole new character too. quit whining.

You're the problem. Just because fortnite is overcharging its players for skins doesn't mean its "OK" for others to do it. You seem to think that this is the norm and you're encouraging game developers to keep being greedy.

BTW, the Cheryl skin is just a new design, it has no special attributes; no voice acting and no extra flare to even be considered a $15 cosmetic.

  • @Dexn3ko0 said:

I dont mind paying 10€ for an outfit, i mean i play this game 1000k a year so spending some real money on it is totally worth it.

And many DCLs can be bought with shards just sayin.

But you can keep on buying games that cost 70€ with a playtime of 50 hours...

IMO, 9000 shards for a killer and 19,000 for a skin is ridiculous. Not many people play this game for 1000 hrs a year.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

The thing is, I'd much rather the cosmetics be more expensive than the dlcs. I really enjoy the DLCs being relatively cheap (like, I can manage a fiver every 3 months). If skins were £3 for the most expensive image how expensive the DLCs would be to make up all that money- I'll stay with paying that much for a skin.

But the DLCs and cosmetics should both have a relatively low price. Why does BHVR get all this money, yet there are constant bugs and problems in the game? Please answer back.

  • Even I, the person thats making this post, has bought all the DLC killers and a cosmetic (realized my mistake too late). They're making enough money, believe it.

  • A cosmetic should be $5, not 10 or 15. I know it doesn't give you an advantage in the game, but its more of a psychological effect as a person feels great having a cool cosmetic. Literally, when developers are so greedy it discourages my from playing. And yes, the DBD community is just going to be like "Why don't you just leave then?" because none of you want to break this cycle of gaming companies overcharging you for content. You'd rather sit there and accept it.

And don't tell me BHVR needs to make money. From DLCs and skins, they've already made tons. I'm sure.

  • You're going to get countless messages of people either complaining or insulting you in this game. It's better to just ignore them.

Honestly though, camping won't make you better at the game. I know this because I speak from experience, I used to be the King of Camping and Tunneling when I first started out as killer. But if you want to rank up and get better overall, you're going to need to hook people and find other survivors. You'll get into more chases and learn survivor movements which will help you in the long-run.

Remember when you camp, the other survivors will end up finishing generators and leaving. You need to constantly apply pressure in the game to keep survivors from doing the objective. Injure as many of them as possible, end chases as fast as possible, monitor the generators, and break pallets.

It takes time to get good. Camping kept me at Rank 20. Now I'm a Rank 1 Killer.

    Agreed. It's not getting fixed.

    Lmao this made my day.

  • Lmao. Banning killers for camping and tunneling? Whats next, banning killers for getting 4k? Banning killer for using NOED?

How about this? Every survivor that loops me the entire game and chains flashlight stuns, I will report. Would you like that?

  • NOED IS ALL WE HAAAAVE. T_T

I like noed the way it is. Survivors have crutch perks like BT and DS. We also have crutch perks like NOED.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Learn to play killer properly. Issue solved. I dont understand why so many killer players dont want to learn how to play properly and instead just ruin other players experience. Its not that hard.

What is playing killer "properly"? Like there's a rule book? Please link me the rules of playing killer because I'm very inexperienced.

Imagine me playing a video game just so I can be a people pleaser and let others have fun, while I lose. Camper and tunneler for life, as long as it works in my favor.

  • halo o dejar

  • Just because this is an event doesn't mean killers have to bend over for you to **** them. Yes, its difficult for survivors to obtain this cosmetic as they must escape while killers don't need to do anything. But maybe if you spent less time complaining on the forums about it, and spent that time getting better at DBD, you could actually escape with the crown.

  • @Poorfu said:

I bet I can top yours.

Everygame, event, non event, I can't win. I get a win maybe once every 10+ games I put in. It's sheer dumb luck I win. I don't know if I could call it luck, since mine is terrible. This is every time I play too.

Unfortunately, most killers probably enjoy giving people a hard time. Maybe they don't want anyone getting event items just because it satisfies them? Who knows.

DBD is a beautiful game, but very broken.

it does satisfy them to get a 4k. Just because its an event doesnt mean the killers need to be nice. But dont worry, you'll get the crown. Keep trying and play smart !

  • dont give up. you'll get it ; )

  • Remember, if she tunnels a survivor, she leaves the rest of the team to do generators and escape. Also, your trap timer pauses I believe in chases so you don't have to worry about that.

  • pig was already nerfed so that her traps dont work if attached in the endgame. Any more nerfs and she's just garbage tbh. Her traps are suppose to slow down the game and keeping your progress at the jigsaw boxes won't help.

I've escaped with both Feng & Dwight now and have the cosmetic on them.

It appears to be bugged for some people

  • lol bloodhunt in waaaaay better than cakes. You have to waste bloodpoints to level up and obtain these cakes in the first place. You may not even get that many of them so I'd imagine a lot people won't bother. Bloodhunt is always going to be in effect every game so you don't have to waste bloodpoints and you can spend them how you'd like.

  • I was kind of hoping we would have a bloodhunt. There goes my excitement.

  • Two people in my lobby brought the cakes for extra bloodpoints. I only got the bonus from BBQ and Chili but no bloodpoints from the cakes. Does it work differently?

  • @cheetocultleader said:

Can I complain about hard as Hell challenges that half the time require a farm match?

Lol i was just referring to gameplay. I don't even do the challenges because of how difficult they are sometimes. And plus, the rewards aren't tempting at all. But would I do it for a scooby snack? Maybe.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

If the community didnt complain at all we'd still have infintes, insta heals, vaccume pallets, double pallets, insta blinds, old bnp and much more

Yes some complaints are unnecessary but some of the complaints are needed imo

I definitely agree that some are necessary. However, very often people complain about some things that are not that bad. Somebody once complained about Clown being OP. I had to wipe my eyes. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

  • A lot of people want to play Pyramidhead because he is new. After some time, people will get tired of playing him and there'll be less killers in the queue so we'll find matches faster. At least thats what I think will happen.

  • What are you playing on? I'm a rank 2 on the Switch and it takes forever. Usually, it only takes 2 minutes at most.

  • Survivors make up the majority of DBD's playerbase I believe so they would want to make the survivors happy. Thats why we got the Pig nerf and Ruin nerf.

I already noticed that the Devs dont care more about the game, survivors are their money tree so there they go get the game easier and easier to they

  • The developers would rather prioritize cosmetics and releasing chapter after chapter to make money. They would rather release a new bunny Legion skin than give Legion a buff. They don't seem like they care about balance issues and other problems us players face very often in this game. Addressing your problems on this forum is unfortunately futile because the developers surely hear these complaints, they choose not to listen to us.

  • They say love doesn't need a time and a place.

  • IMO, the only reason one should get Plague is because of her amazing perks Infectious Fright and Corrupt Intervention. However, in terms of viability, Plague is alright. Once survivors become infected by her Vile Purge they have the choice to either cleanse or remain injured with the broken status effect. Cleansing will give the Plague access to Corrupt Purge which is an easy-to-use and amazing ranged attack. Knowing this, experienced survivors won't cleanse which can be both good and bad. Its good because that means they'll be left injured and down with a standard attack. Its bad because you won't get the godly corrupt purge.

  • Sometimes killers have to tunnel to secure a kill or gain the upper hand against good survivors. And when the gens are almost done, forget about being nice.
