In what world do you think the game can tell what a bodyblock is?
Note also that it says 'certain' actions. Not 'all' actions.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3715340#Comment_3715340
Yes, I imagine you'd prefer to rely on killer anec-data, where killers will declare something OP if it made getting a 4K slightly harder.
Wish I was joking, but it's a legitimate trend that there'll be complaints about a survivor loadout or playstyle, with the attached proof being an end-game screen with a 4K.
The game has perks that activate on protection hits so I'm pretty sure the game can tell

What's your point?
Killers overperform, they get nerfed, so then it's fine if survivors also get nerfed?
According to data which is inaccurate as far as how strong a killer is.

It is funny that you say such BS thing like "It's a survivor perk. It does a thing that benefits survivors. That makes it OP" when in the same patch a bunch of meta killer perks are also being nerfed.
You'll never make sense out of someone who only plays one side.

Lol? DS only works if you pick up the survivor
just slug them
Ds is commonly ran with unbreakable so now you slug a survivor who can pick themselves up and lost where the next person is meanwhile two gens are being worked on. Congrats you lost the game being an anti tunneler who went out his way to avoid a ds user being aggressive
-
Does bhvr really expect there not to be more used perks then others when most are trash and need synergy from others to be effective. How about adressing the massive problem of survivors killing themselves on hook

okay but.. just dont tunnel? Try to patrol gens and go for other survivors? When exit gates are powered tunneling is understandable, and killers dont need to worry about ds.
If the survivor plays offensively with ds, that means they aren’t doing anything useful for the team in the whole 1 minute and the killer can just down them and leave on the ground for pressure and go for other survivors, or come back and pick them up when ds is gone.
Sounds like you haven't played killer a day in your life. You get bodyblocked by a ds survivor in a door just ignore them right just go find another survivor across the map who's likely hiding now. These are all used as time wasters that don't cost map resources to pull off.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3715091#Comment_3715091
5 seconds is too long because you can offensively use it in corners of the map and still get somewhere safe
How are you using it offensively in the corner of the map? If a killer chases you all the way into the corner of the map, downs you and picks you up, they deserve to get stunned for 5.
The conditions of the perk lead to it being used offensively. Bodyblocking a fresh hook to try and stun the killer is not what it was meant for. You already have survivors using base kit bt to body block, otr to bodyblock etc don't play dumb
-
Def a buff 20 seconds is very stupid
-
Reality is pain pop wouldn't be as strong if survivors used some of their brain. Far too many times a survivor will touch the gen immediately after getting pain res leading to a pop. We already been thru this with survivors refusing to stop doing a gen for a second to avoid getting kicked off.

Doesn’t anyone else think it’s really interesting that, for the most part, it’s killer-mains complaining about survivors quitting instead of survivor mains complaining about it.
I think this is very telling. Survivor mains seem to be way more understanding about survivors quitting even though it affects survivors way more than killers.
Huh lots of people who play solo survivor have been complaining about it for a long time
-
It would make sense if that was actually true but in reality it just makes survivors angry and not want to play. Admittedly most survivors would rather give up and continue to make the same mistakes not actually getting better because the killers playing in a scumbag way. Survivors won't get better and does nothing for the killer as well so I don't think it's good for the game.
-
Banning killers yea maybe taking things a bit far there. There already is a punishment for playing this way on survivor its low mmr.
-
Survivors quit because they're bad at the game boo hoo. Solo Survivor is unplayable because Survivors quit too easily and don't bother doing the one objective they have. Everytime I play survivor it's the same thing multiple Survivors doing nothing, one with a flashlight following you when you don't need them to miss a save and bodyblock you then run off. S
-
All i get from these winstreaks are good players with thousands of hours win a lot. Almost never are they without tunneling, camping,op perks on both sides. Slowdowns on killer/second chance items or tanking hits builds on survivor. Like its been mentioned a lot of the time the other players or player gives up. Plenty of killers have gone on streaks, plenty of survivors go on escape streaks. Yet its always a conclusion one side is stronger the other.

Honestly, Pain Res and Pop should not stack. It’s really annoying when you know the Killer has it and when the game is already looking like a GG..
Because survivors still can't stop working on a gen when someone is about to be hooked or they still can't refrain from tapping the gen again knowing the killer might be coming to said gen that was pain resd. A kill3r can't pop a gen unless the survivor touches it after being hit with Pain res. Survivors are just lazy and refuse to learn counters, get in the habit of mindlessly doing gens (any gen) to the point 3 gens are being looked at. The average survivor has less skill then the killer imo doesn't want to use their brain, is just there to have fun but crys when things don't go their way. Unhooks near the killer runs off the a strong loop while thier teammate gets tunneled because of it.
-
My argument would be should you lose to players who aren't as good as you ? We see time and time again what a good Killer can do and what a good team of survivors can do. Both sides can win multiple matches in a row try harding. Bad killers get steamrolled, bad survivors get destroyed and dc etc. You basically want a party mode and that's what custom games are for.

Every time I play against Chucky/Tiffany as Survivor, our entire group gets destroyed. Yet when I play as him, I can't even get a single sacrifice! This after 2,300 hours of gameplay and nearly half as Killer. He just seems too slow in chase, his Hidey-Ho power is too short and not completely undetectable, and Slice-and-Dice only scores a hit (not a knock-down like Oni). I can get at least one sacrifice with virtually every Killer in DBD except for Chucky. Maybe I'm not using the best perks/add-ons but he just seems like a straight forward M1 Killer with no ability or power. It sucks because I love the Killer (especially his voice lines!) and want to be at least mediocre with him but I just get completely owned with a few hits and maybe a hook or two. 🤷♂️
You need to path better mind game better I believe. Survivors always panic cause they can't see him well. Moonwalk more be patient don't commit to main structures etc

In my opinion these perks are overrated, because the only way to take advantage of them is having the lead and continously downing survivors. Although it doesn't surprise me considering the alternatives: Ruin is tremendously weak and self-deactivates, Overcharge and CoB where overnerfed, Surge doesn't work on half the cast, Thanatophobia only works on Plague, Oppression is a bad joke, Dying Light and Pentimento are meme build material...
Deadlock is way better, you always get full value from it. And I think Gift of Pain is really underrated.
Not true if the survivors 99 a gen then you don't get much value from it

Normal competition ruleset prohibits strongest stuff on both sides. But from time to time there are competitions that allow everything for both sides.
It usually ended pretty even, or little bit on killer's side (mind you - within statistical error close). But this thing allowed BNP's (with real stacked usage) on one side and C33+alch ring blight on the other (but spirit, nurse, artist, wesker and few other killers were played just as much).
What we got now is nuked BNP's and medkits, vs nuked spirit (keeping all the other killers just the same)...
Huh no way you included Medkits and didn’t mention nearly every perk but jolt getting nerfed. Survivors brain logic is wild

Oh so we already went from "try to do a streak as killer" to "try to do a streak without tunneling", for no apparent reason. Tunneling invalidates streaks now? As I said no point even bothering to record since you'll dismiss it for arbitrary reasons.
Who is this king wolf? Did you think your win streak was impressive cause you tunneled every chance you got. If you’re saying hard tunneling is skill then yea don’t bother I can watch a dime a dozen killers do the same thing.

Love it. Everything is so easy with you. Streaming is so easy, just link the VOD bro. Getting a 1000 winstreak is so easy just equip Eruption.
You know what I'll stream a 10 winstreak during the week, even though it makes my ######### laptop run at 30 fps. Meanwhile you will stream a 10 escape streak as survivor since apparently everything is so easy for you (I hope you already have OBS fully setup'd otherwise prepare a good afternoon).
The "comp win streak" comment is hilarious. Someone has a 1100 winstreak and you manage to even dismiss that. It's true that killer is hard because you're always at risk of facing Team Eternal and then maybe you'll lose the game. My bad for not considering that OP is a tournament player.
You’re comparing someone who competes in tourneys (momo) with casuals. Yes mmr is broken you don’t consistently get people your level. Rarely people your level are playing against a comp team. You know they got things to do like practice. It doesn’t work the same way as killer. Your stats are including tunneling camping the very things you seem to think are not needed cause killer is so strong yet every killer has to resort to them and so will you. I look forward to your tunneling and proving my point. Getting a 1k streak def isn’t easy but it’s impossible without tunneling I can tell you that 100%

Momo has a winstreak on most killers in the game not just Blight. Otz has a 50-winstreak with every killer in the game, and yes he's better than most players but he did it with no offering and no perks so there is a lot of margin. By using perks and exploiting things like map offerings, VPN and lobby dodging average players can easily do winstreaks too. As said I reached 30+ with Nurse (don't remember if it was 36 or 46).
I then reached 10+ with Spirit, Trapper, Clown, Trickster, Huntress and Artist.
Not worth uploading any of these because it's literally wasted effort, it will take me 2 hours and then you'll immediatly dismiss it because either the killer I used was too strong, or add-ons were too strong, or the survivors did not use enough BNPs, or they weren't enough SWFs, or whatever. You deny the official killrates of 60% but when somebody gives any other sort of evidence you say they are a survivor main lol. Devs must be so survivor biased since it's them who published the killrates.
Talk to me when he has a comp win streak. Your argument is weak. 700 or more of his games came from eruption era prob the strongest killer has been. All you would need to do is play an average killer and link your vod very easy to do. You don’t need to upload anything stream it link the vod easy. According to your data nurse is the worst killer. Flawed logic flawed numbers what more flawed points do u have to make? Disconnects yes are taken into account but people giving up on hook when the game is still very much in play kills everyone else. What don’t you get about that and that’s the majority of the player base.

The 60% number contains matches where survivors suicide on hook which almost always ends in the other 3 survivors dying as well unless one gets the hatch. So 60% is artificially high.
iirc the kill rate at high mmr, or maybe it was when a swf was invovled, was around 40% - 45%
Yep the same stats that pointed as nurse being the worst killer. Saiph just doesn’t get it. To be fair tho he is speaking from a place of ignorance which is pretty common amongst survivors mains.

How weird though when these same streamers play survivor suddenly they barely even escape 50% of the time. By your logic since the game is so skill-based then we should see plenty of survivors with a consistent ~80% winrate too, right? The survivor playerbase is 4x larger than killer, so statistically, you should have no trouble finding several of them, can you even name one? Momo is at 1000-winstreak right now, SupaAlf at 100+, but how weird, nobody is even attempting a streak as survivor?
And the neat part, you don't need to have 5k hours to achieve these results. You just need to play killer and tunnel the f*ck out of every game. I have ~200 hours at killer and my killrate is above 80%. The first time I picked Nurse I won 30+ games in a row.
Again terrible comparison if the streamer is playing solo q there are a number of variables. Last time I saw Momo play in a comp match he had 1 kill and was lucky to get that. You can always tell who’s a survivor main by the way they talk. They bring out all the xyz streamer and use insane examples like nurse and blight win streaks. Like u said u have no hours on killer so why not go play killer and come back when your opinion is coming from a place of personal knowledge. Let us see your insane win streak on every killer 🤡 funny you mention tunnel yet killers are so op they don’t need to tunnel. It’s laughable how everyone arguing in your position states killers don’t need to tunnel yet push comes to shove they start losing the match and the camp tunnel comes out. It’s a tired argument give it up.

Sure, just from last night:
D3AD_plays https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1863439587 4 hour stream, every game 3K+ except one (2K). Killrate likely around 85%.
Hens333 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1861363179 3 hour stream, every game 3K+ except two (both 2K). Killrate likely around 80%.
Otzdarva https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1863248408 5 hour stream. Lost 2 matches (1K). Killrate is 70% (I did the math). Plays with random perks.
Note that I'm not even talking about pro players or those on a ridiculous winstreak like SupaAlf and Momo7th, those would very likely all be above 85%. And the only reason their killrate is 'only" 85% is because they don't sweat for hatch.
And finally, you don't even need to watch killer players. You can literally, watch survivor mains, who warm up as killer.
Just from last night:
Skermz: 4K, 3K, 4K, 3K (killrate 87.5%) https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1863708637
Alby: 4K, 2K, 3K (killrate 75%). https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1862508562
Gotta love how killer is easy because streamer xyz with 5k-10k hours gets a 3k,4k. Yes let’s all quit our jobs stop living our lives and play dbd all day long to prove your point. I have less then 1k hours and go up against 3k-5k hours nearly every game. So you’re tellling me that’s fair as someone casually playing the game. Very flawed logic. Guessing you missed the showcase where comp survivors shitted on every killer they went up against and would do the same to every streamer you mentioned. You’re comparison isn’t fair and not well thought out.

Considering the devs have confirmed high MMR is a tiny percentage of the playerbase, I highly doubt there are enough high MMR survivors to go around. Especially considering pretty much every killer main who comes on this forum seems to think they're constantly playing against high MMR survivors. The game is designed to give you more difficult opponents as you progress. That doesn't mean you're suddenly playing high MMR.
Huh? That proves my point exactly you don’t need to win many games to reach max mmr as killer. There is a ton of bad players that you will never go up against if you win 10+/- games in a row.

No worries surely devs will fix tunnel and camping and destroy their own game
I agree I don’t think they can fix it without ruining the game. I think they just need to give more options to win on both sides. You should be rewarded with good chases and rewarded for committing to a survivor in harder to catch loops. This can all be translated into time added to regression or slow down gens. Having to kill someone from the start is just boring as well as hit run back to 3 gen kick. Kick kick kick hit hit snooze fest. On the survivor side I’m not sure what they can do cause one good chase already determines the game.
-
Remove all the stupid reskins. Actually come out with some cool skins for most of the killers. The fact that the community comes up with way better ideas than the people they’re paying is sad. Remove map offerings. Increase bleed out time speed so it’s not forever but not another tool to dc. Base corrupt for the weakest 5-10 killers. Actual map balance/some type of system to slightly increase weaker killers potential but something that doesn’t make blight nurse stronger. Idk how bhvr can try balancing the game when killer balance is so out of whack.
-
Most of the people don’t even play killer that are arguing this fact. They are desperately trying to math out the numbers instead of actually you know playing the game and seeing the perk in actual real world scenarios. It’s a massive boost and I’ll be playing survivor with this perk and the fact the new killer is pretty weak in his current state.
-
Boring killer nothing really shaking up the stale meta. Mmr sucks hasn’t been changed. Solo queue worse than ever. Nothing addressed to make the game fun maybe stop working on bad chapters and address how unfun it is for both sides to play right now. No on wants to play vs a gen kick killer, killers can’t really defend gen speed without resorting to tunneling etc it’s very boring to play against and very boring to play killer right now. Either it’s dc left and right or gens flying. Only thing worse then playing high mmr killer is solo queue. And no idc if you’re a 10 hour a day killer main and this game is easy for u go outside.

The best way to win on both sides is boring and unfun that’s balance I guess unfun gameplay for both sides 😂

You will not get high MMR-Survivors constantly. This is just not true. You can think that you get them if it makes you feel better, but it is not the case.
Other than that, you were probably over-performing quite a bit at some point (maybe during the Gen Kick-Meta?) and now it takes some time until your SBMM settles.

Alright, plague is not one of my played killers, why borgo as best though?
Line of sight, being infected makes it impossible to stealth. There’s nowhere to hide. Lots of knee high obstacles to block u when broken. When it first came out it was broken with too many pallet spawns now I think it’s fairly easy to manage. Impossible to unhook in plenty of spots without being seeing by a mile. I would vote dead dog but as soon as they chase main and don’t the door on top they likely lost the 3 gen and potentially the match.
-
Dead dog is a top 3 map for plague. The gens can be all be infected from the start. The hardest gen to defend main top can be hit with her power and down someone easily which completely nullifies any need to chase main.A 3 gen is easy to manage I don’t think I’ve ever lost on this map. Best plague map is shattered square worst is rpd where u don’t need to use resources to infinite. Rng on pools are also hell

Dead hard was really easy to bait though. Sprint Burst is guaranteed to work but dead hard can just be a waste of a perk slot if you go against a experienced killer that assumes everyone has it and knows how to bait it. Survivors staring back at you was an obvious sign they had it.
You already said you’re not a killer main so I guess we can expect the incompetence here. Reality is a good survivor wasnt easy to bait.
