Let’s be real here if people were playing tcm for 6 years which is very unrealistic I have no faith in this game lasting even a year. But just say people had been playing this game similar to dbd for reasons none other than the only choice. Imagine dbd comes out similar concept as now just updated graphics people would be saying the same thing, the hype would be insane. People are just bored playing the same game and tcm isn’t the answer it’s fun but we had a couple days with it and I already saw too many glaring issues that will make it impossible to succeed in the long run.

Exploited by survivors in some way but counted by killers who play like an #########. Hard tunnel even more basically. The more we go towards this playstyle as being the only option to counter the worse the game gets. Survivors already exploit a killers niceness by using basekit bt as a bodyblock when the killer decides not to tunnel. Killers just say f It go full tunnel mode next match.
-
Literally every solo match I've played when the killer even remotely spent more then a few seconds camping more then one survivor stopped going gens...waited till the survivor hit 2nd stage...waited till they were almost dead then choose to try to trade. It's mind boggling how people refuse to just do the gens and let them either die or save once 3 gens pop. They always wait till second or death to be more aggressive. The problem with the game is most.of the survivors are not good. You can't balance the game around bad survivors.
-
The problem is the weaker the killer the only viable way to win is to play like an #########. Hard tunnel shouldn't be the only way to win vs stronger survivors. It just doesn't make any sense for a weak killer to be on a survivor map with survivors bringing op builds ad ons etc. Until there is actual balance killers will always have to hard tunnel to win. Idk why there hasn't been any attempt to try to balance maps and add ons individually. This just leads to the weakest killers being weaker and the strongest killers being stronger. Once they have a balance they can actually address tunneling and deter it.

My belief is that face-camping promotes laziness and those killers who do often struggle as they climb up the strange MMR ladder we have because they are just not good enough. It's rarer than not to have 2-3 gens go before the first down. That's often because of either a) a series of mistakes and bad judgements by the killer or b) the killer has been placed against survivors who are vastly better than they are.
Camping close to the hook is used in competitions, which is one of the main reasons why watching those matches are so bloody boring. The tournaments are snoozefests, but I do feel that changes to the rules and removing conditions of winning from kills to hooks would vastly improve both skill and watchability. This change may make those games more enjoyable.
Also, whilst maths is interesting to look at, using maths to assume how trials go does not taken into account the rng, luck, skills, mistakes or anything else that happens in a trial, so whilst there is a formula that could be used in theory, it is far rarer for this to be what actually happens because of the randomness. Too many variables for any form of mathematics to accurately predict what will happen.
What I fear will happen is that, rather than those killer plauers learnibg and enjoying to improve their skill, they may then go to the next lazy tactic: slugging . Again, in some situations where survivors are too altruistic, slugging is fine because the opportunity is there to punish exceptionally dumb plays. However, I can see the lazier killers just knock all survivors down and bleed out in "protest". This will absolutely lead to Unbreakable basekit.
Basically, if players start playing with empathy in mind that their opponents are human, then it's far less likely changes like these are needed. However, this change really won't affect my killer plaus, since camping bores the ######### out of me and I like a challenge.
Really bad takes all around. You really misunderstand the game.

Doing gens while the killer camps is just too hard to comprehend these days I guess

Love how you conveniently left out the multiple new edge Map pallets 🤣 map offerings shouldn't exist. Survivors use survivor maps killers use killer maps. Do away with it already

My man is getting styled on by bots.
Def lacking reading comprehension. There's no mention of bots being good in chase besides avoiding nemesis whips. Bots can blind you instantly. Maybe you would know if you actually played against one. The lack of brain of some people.

No its not only the killers. In my killer matches now gens get done so quickly its not even funny anymore. I go in my matches with the intention not to tunnel and after the match I think I should have. Survivors bring the stronges bullshit you could thing of and every round they throw a map offering. After 10 matches on the worst maps for killers I throw an offering got on my map and the surves dc. Nice how playing killer means you need to play agiunst everything you get, but for survivor it means just do what ever the ######### you want and if it doesnt work dc wait a minute and bring another BNP.
I wish the game would balance more for maps but at this point I don't see it every happening. Lots of maps are unbalanced as well with perks. Weaker killers should have increased odds on individually favored maps. There should be some limit on perks vs killers or stronger perks incentives go play weaker killers. We all know what killers are weaker I don't see how that's not possible to some small scale.

Don't tunnel the first person and survivors will now use base BT to body block. It happens so frequently

But the problem is that usually is not the case. Killers often tunnel the player with less than 100 hours "weak link". Which I think is not healthy. Neither is those 3-4K survivors effient gen rushing which killer can do nothing.
What group of 3k 4k hour survivors are playing with a 100 hour survivor? Not every group is a swf but most are obvious and all have similar hour. I don't believe this point it's simply not true

So when you play killer you lose and when you play survivor you lose. Definitely a dev problem...
Got to love the random dense guy who completely missed the point. These are your solo teammates

It's not bad provided you have that experience level yourself. Bad matchmaking is bad matchmaking. I don't really see it as a balance issue if 500 hr players can't hang with 4k hr players (exceptions exist, of course).
Thats just how it goes in this game there's a gap it seems between under 1k hours and multiple thousands of hours. Not really had one match in the last 20-30 that was less hours or even similar. It's just too easy to jump into max mmr territory really bad system

I really wish I could have fun playing killer. But every survivor seems to really suck at playing the game that they have to resort to brand new parts, gen rushing, body blocking, tea bagging, flaslighting, sabo, pre dropped pallets. Behavior needs to do something about the state of the game and the toxic way survivors play.

All in the title really. For more detail this game is amazingly unpleasant for new players. New survivors are in for constant rounds of dying all because they cant make a chase last longer than 30 seconds. And be realistic, how many gamers are going to watch youtube vids and spend hours and hours practicing and getting hooked just to bump their escape percentage from 15 to maybe 25 percent at best.
Versus the killer side where your first 100 games are absolute walkovers until you hit higher mmr and start getting ######### on by bully squads.
I've picked it up and tolerated it for maybe 30 days of play time since August. My regular swf won't play anymore because of toxic killers plus the difficulty curve and I can't get any one of my friends into the game, either they refuse to try it because it has a reputation for being particularly awful for new players, or get 20 hours in and give up because they just constantly die. State pf play atm isn't much fun. My surv games are just constant deaths and killer games flip flop between absolute walk overs that are extremely boring when I use a killer I'm good with and a sweaty build, and tedious impossible to win games when I use mechanically weak killers for daily rituals. Maybe 10% of my killer games actually feel chsllenging yet attainable.
We've had surv nerfs that do even more to cripple solo q and have really done nothing tangible to actually nerf SWFs. Whilst the killer nerfs make it even easier for high level swfs to genrush. Like give us something that helps low/mid mmr. A proper tutorial that gives survs an idea on how to run a proper chase, a way to train against killer bots so survs can see how dlc killer powers work without buying them, voice chat for survs rolling handicaps depending on how the match progress (looking at gen progress versus hook states and death) fix the exit gate spawns so last surv has a slight chance of escaping if hatch is closed.
With the mmr system in place its def not 100 games of easy survivors. You get 5 4ks in a row the difficulty is going substantially up. Reality is you're not wrong but that's also cause of the player base. There aren't really any baby killers anymore. Both sides have been patched multiple times. It's Def not easy to play killer like it was low skilled killers have quit in droves

Both killer and survivor are in a ######### situation right now, I really can't understand why the Devs don't see this and sort it out!!
How it goes for me...
Killer - gens fly by because survivors aren't wasting time healing. They're actually far more productive after the update.
Survivor - almost every match is a camp/tunnel/3 gen.
I don't disagree tho solo survivor is pointless playing with people who don't know how to play. I'm not sure what they can do cause as killer good teams know how to unhook vs a camp versus solo just getting grabbed or taking a fast down then trying to heal wasting too much time.

I think One Pump Willie is an incredibly skilful killer and he appeared to be on a streak so it looks like he came up against a very good team - he himself says in the video that he allowed early game pressure and also that the team played well. And he STILL got 2 kills and a draw.
I don’t see anything untoward or strange here?
Gens went fast because the team focused on cranking them out while a condemned play style was in play by his Sadako.
I don’t think this is necessarily representative of all typical survivors or killers - just those at a very high level where you win some and lose some. And this was a draw so..?
Problem is you don't need to be onepumpwillie to get similar matches matchmaking is the worst part of dbd for both killer and solo survivor. There are killers I've played less then 5 times and I go against multiple p100 lobbies. It's a serious problem tho I doubt it can be fixed without going back to long wait times. On my main I have around 1k hours and every match I get put into is 3k minimum hours for survivors.
-
You really think randoms knowing your perks is gonna make a difference? Randoms don't stealth, don't do gens, don't last in chase, heal over doing objectives, still bring self care etc.
-
Try playing killer against 3k 4k hour survivors not tunnel and let us know your experience.
-
Bhvr is on a mission to kill dbd
-
Lol no
-
Just how it is the ######### survivors quit and training wheels dead hard users are gone. Survivors didn’t really need dead hard to be good. I think you’re just seeing the huge gap between players it’s not that hard to get into encountering survivors with thousands of hours very quickly.
-
Most games the fun dies long before it does on dbd but fair points mmr was def a terrible decision. Most people I know don't play anymore but again this happens on every game. Ranks def were something that kept us playing. Resetting all progress for people that don't play everyday just kills any motivation u had there.

One of the worst lists I've ever seen. Sadako is top 3 worst in the game even the best comp killer rates her this low. The best meaning a proven track record killing at the highest level of comp against the best survivors not low level pub players. No one plays or chooses to go up against her cause she's terrible and a guaranteed 4 out. If you think she's that good try her out against comp teams and get laughed out the scene. Your 90% win rate will be a 90% loss rate lol literally pub players are so hilarious 😂 I can promise you it will be a rude awaking for you lol
