I see it too, and I ve been playing mostly as survivor lately, and it happens to me as well, sometimes Im tired of seeing every match the same regression combo perk of pain res and pop, and the same tunneling strategy at 4-5 gens, it gets so frustrating and more when you are playing in solo q. I think the overall survivor side feels a fatigue from behaviour destroying survivor perks, giving nerf after nerf after nerf, and only buffing niche or situational perks such as that one from Renato, dont remember the name, who asked a buff for that perk?? are you kidding me? you have 200+ perks where you can only use 10-15 as survivor because the other rest are pure trash, and you buff one perk that was already OK, wasnt the best, but worked fine where it was. Survivors havent had a good buff in a while, and besides that the nerfs will continue coming, and you know how behaviour nerf perks, they destroy them and make them SOO situationals that no one will even try to use them. So to sum it up, in my head giving up so frequently overtunes killers and perks statistics in some way, I can only hope that helps to nerf some stuff on the killer side, and im pretty sure im not the only one that thinks in that way, because if it wasnt like this, you wouldnt have survivors killing themselves every other match.

Edit: Also, solo q is trash, and it seems its always on the lowest level of priorities, so at least be happy to have those crappy game where you can win so easily, its the killer mains wet dream, instead of having good matches where you dont know whats gonna happen already at 5 gens.

Edit2: Sorry for the rant, this game is so frustrating

purposefully skewing data so the devs can make unnecessary changes is crazy

  • maybe a percent increase but its still not too powerful. i don’t think you can make fire up viable unless you increase its numbers by a crazy amount

They currently don't have a way to detect when a killer is locking a survivor into a corner, so what makes you think they can accurately determine when a survivor is not only bodyblocking, but bodyblocking with intent?

Honestly, OTR needs its own rework. Compared to DS, it's literally worse for both sides.

Literally. It’s just a more abusable DS with mediocre anti-tunnel.

  • @jonifire said:

The Onryo isn‘t fun to play since the rework. I mained her before the rework. It‘s not just the survivors.

The fun part was playing a hit and run playstile. The rework made her a lot worse in her kit, maybe against bad survivors better, but against good far worse.

Why should I want to spam condemned as killer.

Condemned was a side effect before, which was fine, but to force someone to play like this just, because it is the only thing that works. Is just stupid.

I agree that the cooldown should be much shorter, after a tp. Also the tape should be a counter to her tv and the teleport. So taking one to disable one should be worth it.

I wouldn’t mind if sadako is brought back to her original hit-and-run kit (just plss make it better). Right now it feels the only hit-and-run killer thats decent is legion

I’m genuinely surprised. I thought that these were some of the most well-balanced killers in the game. 🤔

Hag kinda sucks in this new meta tbh

Literally every other game on the planet balances around the top players. Thats literally the best way to balance the game because who wants to be punished for getting better at the game? Once your players reach higher MMR they are not gonna wanna play anymore because it's extremely unbalanced. Most of the time those changes rarely have a negative impact on players who are at a lower level. As it often targets methods, strats and etc that lower level players don't understand or even know about.

You can't balance a game around people who struggle to even boot the game up. Especially in a game where there's two very distinct sides. If it was a fighting game or a shooter you could just use broken strat but there is no option here for that.

Otherwise you are gonna have people trying to yank their MMR so they can get better matches. The game should make you STRIVE to do better not worse. You are straight up talking about making the game a worse experience as you go on. There's only so much you can do when the other side has a plethora of handicaps.

Yes and no. Other games still take lower skilled players into consideration when making changes. And dbd has a looot of things that hurt casual play.

Yeah it embodies everything a perk should imo. Probably will get nerfed from high mobility. But we will see.

Hopefully not because most mobility killers are M2. I can see this perk becoming very annoying with Wraith tho

  • @Pulsar said:

No, you balance for the most amount of people possible.

If a Killer is rocking a 85% KR against 90% of Survivors, but only 20% against the other 10%, that's still an issue and they need to be changed.

I completely agree. The point is that requires a rework, not just blankly nerfing the killer.

I dont know why im kinda scared of some of those changes.

Also hope that ""killer tweaks"" are a little more creative that "X addon do this 1% better" like slinger aiming addons.

    I guess:

    Nerf for STBFL, mangled, sloppy.

Buffs for Grim Embrace quick gambit

Rework Shadowborn and M&A because Fov slider.

    Doctor basekit discipline.

    Demo can destroy/replace portals now.

    Clown get killswitched because bug.

Also cries in Knight, Nemi and Doritohead for no addons tweaks.

I am really hoping they are not gonna nerf DS once again. Perk is already dead.

The change comes out in a while so it’s likely a rework, not a straight up nerf like last time.

BHVR said the 3 gen solution isn’t supposed to affect normal games, so it can’t be the solution you suggested.

That doesn’t sound too bad then. I’m thinking if the game starts lasting too long because of a 3-gen then something will happen to break it.

  • Worried for how this is going to work too. Best case scenario they actually fix maps and gen spawns, but judging by how they called this the “3-gen solution” they are probably not going for something that ambitious.

  • @Raccoon said:

A lot of people said it was busted - A lot of people said it was fine...

    What do YOU think?

Dark Theory - waste 14 seconds off gens to activate, only works in a small area, can be turned off by the killer

PWYF - purposefully waste time and lose chase to get 1 stack (only available on the obsession), lose stacks every hit, max 3 stacks

Hope - wasted perk slot for most of the game, only works if you get all gens power, active during the shortest part of the game

MFT - free haste every time you’re injured + extra endurance effect

I don’t know how this perk was ever released tbh.

  • @LilyPad said:

And how Hug Teching on multiple killers is still allowed?

How long until Window Techs, Grab Saves, and 99'ing get removed too?

Survivor is getting so bland now, they really want to hard cap chases to 30 seconds maximum and its getting stale.

    Is this bait?

  • @GoofyGooberRock said:

I think at least in the time it stuns the killer but if it's like at the last gens players shouldn't use it at all

Buff it to 4 second stun at first, then to 5 if that proves to be too useless. Also maybe they can increase the duration to 80 seconds like OTR, but that might mean stacking them would be too much.

  • I think 60% makes sense when you consider how many survivors don’t take winning too seriously. For a lot of people playing it doesn’t really matter whether they win or lose, just that they can have a fun time playing a horror game with their friends. If all survivors were playing hyper sweaty and focused on optimizing their time, and the kill rate still remained at 60%, then I think there would be a problem.

MfT was problem and it's gonna be nerfed.

But now we are getting complaints for SB too...

    What perks we should use

No matter how good you are in front of Bloodlust 3 you still can't do anything

As long as Gideon Meat Plant exists, bloodlust will never be removed.

    Compare to other killers.

Hes pretty fun to play against if you know how to dodge his tail. He could be a little stronger tho.

In any online game, there is bound to be a meta, or most efficient tactic available. DBD has had it's own fair share of meta and non-meta perks. I find myself clinging more towards the non-meta perks just because there is a bit more diversity there for me to use, it feels like I can do a lot more with them.

    • For Killer: A Nurse's Calling, Blood Warden, Dark Devotion, Forced Hesitation, and Surveillance.
    • For Survivor: Balanced Landing, Self-Preservation, Autodidact, and Soul Guard.

Second Wind and Repressed Alliance. They have so much synergy with other perks + they counter killers in ways they don’t expect. It’s always funny to deny a Pop or punish a killer going for the easy tunnel.
