A lot of people have mentioned it but it's pretty quick to do with a couple aura perks. In fact I got lucky and did 4/5 of the weekly and all my dailys in a single match.
Wraith with Silent Bell and All Seeing combo'd with Agi, IG, Lethal and Awawa. One of the people went AFK at the start and I was able to chase around everyone with my backpack!
Was a pretty fun match just messing around! -
I'm tier 15 atm which is about where I'd be normally. I've done the weekly and the every daily and some levels of the milestones. I'm not worried about finishing it with the extra help we'll get from the events and what not and I enjoy being able to do multiple things at once.
I am a bit concerned for people who come into this late though. Missing out on the daily and event extras might make this new system a bit of a slog compared to before.
This is assuming everything stays exactly the same though; I imagine they'll increase the values a bit. Personally, I'd love for the weekly fragments to go up 5 each week with slightly increased difficulty. This would let you hit level 100 by only doing the weekly and milestone stuff. -
Jason, Predator, Jaws, and Jurassic Park for movies.
Bloodborne, Bioshock and Fatal Frame for games.
IT and Candyman for things that fit DBD but I have no opinion on.Leprechaun and Scooby Doo for things I'd love to see but probably won't happen.

We know there's going to be a 2v8 set of challenges to come for this rift (as they showed it in the PTB), so the fragments you'd earn from those would also cut this down. This is not including any other 'event' challenges they may add to the game over the next 12 weeks.
I think this is more of a 'wait and see' situation - but it's a fair worry. If they have genuinely made it much grindier than it was before then they should re-evaluate. One of the great things about previous rifts was how chill they were to complete.
Agreed. The thing I'm most worried about is people coming in halfway. When FNAF releases and brings in new people, they might not be able to complete it at all because they missed out on the daily and 2v8 challenges (depending on when that releases).
I'm really hoping the amount we get increases by 5 per week. So next week will be 80 fragments a challenge and the week after 85 and so on. If this is the case then we'd have a total of 6150 weekly fragments. Combined with the total milestone of 3850 and you'd have a perfect 10000.
If this is how the system works then you'd never have to do a single daily and would be far friendlier to people. Considering how perfect the math lines up I'm really hoping this is the case. -
Yeah, it's really going to depend on a few factors if this new system is good or bad.
Right now it's 375 for the weekly, 45 for doing all the daily and 550 if you fully complete a milestone. Assuming the numbers all stay he same then then we get a total of 4500 weekly, 3735 daily, and 3850 for the milestone which is 12085, so ~121 levels with the new rift cap being 100 levels to get everything.
We'll also get some extra fragments with any events they have. However, this really isn't great as this assumes you do everything which I don't think most people will. Another issue is at least from my short testing, I was only getting 5 fragments per completed match. This means it'll take around 20 matches to get 1 level, probably far less as I image my 5 fragments was a low xp roll and I didn't do a lot of testing with that. Now if the weekly challenges get a higher fragment count as they go or even more challenges per week then this won't be all that bad and we'll have some leeway. If it stays exactly how it is then it might be rough if people skip out on the daily challenges or people come into the tome late.

Outside of the few big names left, I don't think anything would have as much pull as FNAF at this point. Other mascot horror like Bendy, Poppy Playtime or Spooky just don't have enough oomph. Slender is more Millennials then Z IMO so I don't think it'd have that much pull at this point. That said it'd be my first choice for an indie license.
No joke, the guy who mentioned skibidi toilet is right. That would pull in people since it's very popular, will probably stay popular for a while and is so stupid as a DBD concept that it would draw in people that had no interest. It'd also be very easy to make videos off of so you'd see an explosion from content creators.

For the reports that you got notice to, I would like to know myself
You understand my curious confusion, I hope. That somebody else went through the trouble of getting footage and reporting it, must be the only logical answer, but that I somehow still got a notice about it.
For context, it was an incredibly obvious hacker playing as Huntress. Teleporting around the map, instantly throwing all her hachets in one go (through walls) and hooking everybody either instantly or speeding around the map with them on her back. I have never seen a more clear case of hacking. They send out an auto-message to everyone who reported a person that got banned that way everyone involved will know action was taken. Even if it wasn't you specially who had good enough evidence you will still get a message if you send a report.
I didn't know this applied to just endgame reports though which is neat.
-
PS5 Same Issue
-
Playing on controller really isn't that bad for like 80% of the killer roster.
Hell, with enough effort you can get close-ish to pc level. I've seen a few really good Huntress's, Blight's and Nurse's that I would have bet money on being PC when they were PS5.
The biggest killer you might see a difference in is Trickster. I'd argue he's the hardest to play at a high level on controller since he needs pinpoint adjustments all the time. You might also see some change in killers like Billy and Oni since they have mouse only techs.
All the other killers might go up a percent or two but I doubt it'll be much since most won't change over anyway.
-
Something I wonder about the surrender option is if it's going to be a team vote or individual vote and I'd bet an entire dollar it's going to be individual based.
With how they have the killer surrender option as 4 bots, I bet when one person surrenders they will turn into a bot and then if all 4 surrender, the killer has a means to leave the match as well if they so choose.
They'll also want to keep it individual in order to keep one person from holding everyone else up.
This will let people that don't want to stay leave while someone else who has unbreakable or just wants to bleedout, can stay in with the bots.
If this is how it'll work then I'm fine with it since it does require all survivors to be slugged in the first place. Personally, I'd rather have it be individual then team based anyway.
-
-
I'm pretty sure they've said they plan to add killer bots to customs eventually but it's likely not a high priority for them.
Personally, I would adore killer bots. Definitely one of my top 3 things I'd love to see added.
-
Mine have been about 10-12 minutes on average so far; I keep track with a timer. Last time mine were around 7-8 minutes fairly consistently.
The queue times will likely drop as the event goes so I wouldn't be surprised if they end up around 8 minutes or so again for me. The first iteration for me also had queues around 8 minutes as well.
Queue times will vary quite a bit depending on location I'd assume though.
-
Nope, one of the worst perks in the game. I'd argue more so then no mither.
-
I don't remember people complaining that her kit was complicated and bloated at all. Most complained that her kit was very boring on both sides and encouraged unfun playstyles. Mainly the chess merchant as she was called.
Because of that, even after the slight reworks people still loathed her so she got more or less nuked since she's going to get a full rework later
It's slightly similar to what went on with Freddy. Also sort of Twins but they're so rare to see that it's not nearly as big of an issue.
-
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't mind the bots. I'd rather have quicker queues then the usual 10+ minute ones every time, especially with all the rage quiting that's been going on. I very much expect to see people still give up over any little thing.
It also doesn't matter how fun they make survivor; people will still flock to killer for the novelty. It's a hard problem to solve unless they made the mode permanent. Then it'd even out after a while.
-
I haven't seen anyone mention it yet but the ID's are optional. You don't need them to file a report but you do need to have done an in-game report.
They can get their ID's via said in-game report.
-
The generic DBD goal is Survivors have to escape while the Killer has to sacrifice them. This is how the game is generally advertised.
Going any deeper then that and it becomes debatable on so many factors that it becomes very opinionated. The most generic one many people use is,
0-1k a loss
2k a tie
3-4k a winThis is based on killer sacrifices and team escape. Individual win conditions can be a huge variety of things from bloodpoints, challenge completion, hooks, fun, etc. Comp also has it's own rules.
There is no real in-game win condition. Just a generic goal to work toward.
-
Most of the QoL stuff I've wanted over the years have actually been added so I'm pretty happy. I still have a few though; not in any order.
- Shared Inventory/Transfer System: Survivor's are just skins so having a way to share or transfer items would be nice. Same with Killer non-uniques.
- Scrap Shop: Ideally run by Carl the Cashier. This would let you breakdown items you'll never use into a new currency or bloodpoints. This new currency could be used to purchase specific add-ons or items on anyone. Basically a recycle shop of sorts. It could also work based on rarity; brown gives brown scrap, yellow gives yellow scrap, etc.
- Three killers a year instead of four: This would give more bandwidth for standard game improvements far more often.
- More Emotes: For both sides; nothing crazy, just simple stuff.
- Separate Daily Challenges: Also Weekly, Monthly and Community ones.
- Seed Selector: This would make custom matches far better; mainly for Comp but would also be nice in general.
- Skill Check when leaving a Gen: Make it work like Overcharge; pretty common request.
- Drop In Queue: Let's you replace a random bot w/their loadout. Saw someone else bring this up and I'd love it.
I know some of these will probably never happen but it's my current list.
-
Also on PS5 and it's just as ReverseVelocity said. Cancel a command stand still and the prompt will pop up if he's facing you. It might take a couple tries as it is a little jank and it doesn't seem to work if survivors are next to you; unless they're downed which then it will.
-
Doubtful.
It's been brought up for years to make it work similar to overcharge where you can get off and still hit it. I don't think they've ever acknowledged it one way or the other.
Definitely one of my top QoL things I'd love to see.
Edit: Apparently they have acknowledged it! Neat, hope it gets in the game sometime. :D

It's unfortunately not just a Texas or a spectrum thing, I'm from SA and my provider have a different name, since it's mostly happening on playstation users I imagine that it has something to do between BHVR and them
What a bummer. :/
Hope it gets fixed for all you guys soon!
-
Huh, how odd. It seems like it's only effecting a small amount of people so it might be something to do with their servers around Texas maybe?
Either way, they've acknowledged the bug report so the only thing to really do is wait.
The only other thing I could maybe suggest is try changing your PS5's IP, making it static and port forward to see if that helps though I doubt it will. Going off the thread it seems like people can still play on the PC version even if the PS5 didn't work so the internet itself doesn't seem to be the issue.
I had to do that with BO3 back in the day otherwise I couldn't connect at all.
-
I'm also on PS5 with spectrum and have no issue. Are you really sure they're the problem? From my interactions with them, they don't really seem to care about anything like this.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
In regards to survivor you need to have at least 1 friend to play and/or talk with otherwise the survivor role is not worth playing at all.
Honestly this. Survivor is so much chiller and fun if you have even one person to shoot the ######### with while whatever else is happening. Even in solo queue, I sometimes get in a call with my buddies and just chit chat. It can make a world of difference.
-
I don't care about the perks but I'd love to see the bleedout timers. Since someone is getting picked up it doesn't seem like this was done to just bleed everyone out. Could have easily been a scenario where the killer downed someone, saw someone else nearby and that happened until everyone was down. I've had that happen to me plenty of times on both survivor and killer.
Anyway, basing anything off the picture is silly. There's very little discussion to have here with so little context.
-
I think it's a lot better. I've been playing since Clown release on console and used to get a lot of messages telling me to kill myself or just overly angry people which I always found funny; I used to save screenshots just so I could laugh at them later.
I haven't gotten one in ages now. I think the last one I got was months ago and wasn't even that bad either; it was like, "Wow, tunnel much." and that was it. Part of that also might be because people realize how anal Sony is with messages and you can report for pretty much anything that swears or has an overly negative meaning. It also depends on ones definition of toxicity. I don't think in-game taunting of any kind is toxic, i.e. t-bags, WSing, hitting on hook, etc. It's part of gaming and I don't think stuff like that should be considered toxic. Annoying? Immature? Pathetic even? Sure, but not toxic. Toxic is way too strong of a word for something so trivial. Even if one does consider it toxic, it's so minor on the scale that it shouldn't even matter. That sort of stuff should be forgotten by the next game.
I don't have EGC but I imagine a lot of that is in the moment anger that most people on both sides will get over 5 minutes later after they have a chance to destress. I don't doubt there can be toxic chats but it can also be turned off if it bothers the person that much.I do however think DBD's entitlement issue has gotten way worse though. Back in the day it didn't matter nearly as much what you ran or how you played. Today a lot more people are complaining about meta builds and playstyles; to the point people will even call you toxic if you run full meta or play in an unfun way. People are also very quick to give up the moment anything even slightly goes wrong. That is a major entitlement issue and a far bigger problem then what toxicity the game does have IMO.
-
That was a fun Hen's video but this is one perk that needs no proof of how bad it is. I don't think anyone is arguing this is a good perk, hell I don't think anyone would even argue it's a mediocre perk.
I still think they should cut the TR requirement and make it bypass undetectable. Still bad but at least it'd have a unique property. Half the stealth killers don't effect crows when in power so it's not even a nerf to them; the other half should also have their power changed where they don't effect crows. -

Where'd you read that?
Reddit.
-
I think it's fine though it's certainly a bit spiteful if you're the last one alive. It's also one of the only stalemates left in the game which I find to be a bit fun actually.
If people want they can still do the backpack strat on Gideon to not worry about lockers anyway. That said, the achievement has gotten a lot harder because of the stalk needed.
-
Console player here.
They seem okay; nothing crazy but not bad either. Snug is easy enough to control and it feels good when you get a cheeky hit with the 2nd dash but it also feels a little clunky sometimes with him getting stuck on stuff, sometimes not being near you when you send them out and he loves to vault windows even if the path isn't going that way. Very middle of the road killer from what I've played so far; both in fun factor and strength.
I'll probably play them a bit but I don't think they'll end up in my cycle of normal characters. Also, I can't figure out how to pet Snug on console and that makes me sad. :/ -
- For Your Complaints
- So that he can have some map pressure.
- So that he can have a anti-loop tool.
- Because BHVR wanted to remove item interactions with killer power. I believe Nemesis zombies are the only one still in the game.
- Add-ons are gold standard. They increase his power for the most part while having very few trash choices.
- So he can stop survivors who path badly or are out of position; giving him some more anti-loop.
- For Your Suggestions
- No. He would lose all map pressure.
- No. He would lose all anti-loop.
- No. BHVR don't want item interactions w/killer powers.
- No. His add-ons are the gold standard others killers should follow.
- No. He shouldn't be punished for using his power correctly.
Also, Wraith is a very middle of the pack killer. There is nothing OP about him at all but you are entitled to your opinion.
-
I think lightweight is pretty underrated to be honest. It's no meta perk but in normal games in can be a really good time waster, it's main drawback being it's based on luck.
On topic, you want to follow the bloodtrail if they're injured otherwise you'll wanna pay extra attention when chasing. A lot of the time they might be running quick and quiet, iron will or other stealth perks along with it so it's important to pay attention to how they're playing as well as check your corners.
As long you're being extra vigilant you can usually keep tabs even if they lose scratch's altogether.
-
It's pretty situational to be honest.
There are certainly times where it's better to just go next but that's only like; 5 gens, your hooked, 2 bots and the other person is slugged. Yeah, GG go next.
The people who let go right at start, no. I will bum rush to save you and better yet if the killer just slugs them when they give up right after. I also don't get the people who let go on first hook when the match is 50/50 or even survivor favored, like why?
One of the nice things about the upcoming Shoulder The Burden is that now you could combine that with Reassurance twice.
-
The problem is that this is so uncommon what's even the point. Yeah, he lost against a stacked team but that can go both ways, say a 10k hour Nurse tryharding against solos doing challenges.
This is a match he probably doesn't win unless he runs some slowdown and plays a top killer but that's already common knowledge. If the opposite side is going hard then you have to as well if you wanna win.
Again though, this isn't overly common to see a group like this so there is no need to bring 4 slowdown in your average game. I've been playing since like 2018 and have seen a group this efficient exactly once and yeah, I got my ass kicked and felt helpless but I didn't blame anyone, I was simply not prepared for them and moved on.
Tru3 obviously plays a lot more then I do so he'll have seen groups like this more but how many do you think? In his many hours I'd be surprised if he has seen groups this efficient in random queue even make double digits.
Normal DBD is not some comp playground where you need to bring all meta and tryhard to win. Yeah, you might run into a team like this when you're unprepared so you lose by default but who cares? That 1in100 chance is no reason to change how one might normally play and is also hardly relevant in talks about the average match.
-
Love the idea behind it though I'm not the biggest fan of the exposed. I'm fine with screaming since the the idea is taking aggro but the exposed is too much; make it oblivious or something else instead.
I'm also more annoyed everyone on Reddit is claiming this was 100% Otz's idea when everyone and their mother has brought this perk idea up for years. -_-

I mean, seeing Pyramid Head who can just camp you as well with PotD and then down you into Final Judgement I don't see it not happening really.
Or they just give him the ability to mori Survivors on the ground once they're death hook, without needing a Mori offering.
I mean, the Pyramid thing can also be a problem but with that they have to be condemned and get the down first which is weaker then killing someone still running who can use perks.
Letting him kill death state off the ground would be fine since that's no different then bringing a Mori. Something like that would be perfectly acceptable but that wouldn't be Tombstone basekit, that'd be Ebony basekit.

Did you read anything past that?
Yes, everything else I could see or agree with which is why I didn't bring it up. The tombstone thing being basekit is just a crazy though. Like, he could just camp 2nd state for free with no counterplay.
Edit: Which some Myers already do. I'm sure you've seen the videos of people unhooking themselves into tombstone lol.
-
Tombstone…basekit?! One of the most complained about Myers add-ons in the game…basekit.
That is certainly an opinion. I think I'd eat a hat if that ever happened, you'd have to completely rework how tombstone functions to have something like it basekit, at which point it's not really the same tombstone.
-
Also a PS5 user and it's just as others have said, you only need the base game for the Platinum. Everything else is just for the 100% which will take ages if you plan to do that.
The Plat isn't too difficult but it is grindy for sure. -
I think it's about the same. Personally it seems like most don't even care about the mori either as long as both get hooked. I think a lot of people either already forgot or don't care.
-
They are in order but only softly. Quite a few of these choices I could easily move around with each other. I did the list somewhat quickly.
Top: No questions asked most people will see these three as the best killers in the game. I think Billy/Blight could be interchanged.Solid: All Decent killers and many of them could be swapped around depending on factors like map, add-ons, etc.
Debatable: All killers are of course debatable but I feel like the killers here are especially so and could easily go up, down or stay the same depending on so many different factors that it can be hard to place a lot of them.
Average: I think these are just your standard killers and again, could be swapped around depending on factors. I also feel like Wraith is overrated IMO. Judging from some of the other lists here this is probably my hot take. If anything I should prolly of moved him up to debatable.Needs Help: What it says, those three need some help. Also I think Freddy is better then Trapper unless you're considering basement Trapper.
Rework: Skully is getting reworked so not much point in placing her anywhere else. I haven't gone against her since the latest changes so I don't have any opinion on her otherwise.
-
Just some quick thoughts looking at the killers.
Myers: Tombstone gutted but still possible; it's an achievement, Add-on changes, Stalk regenerates (hopefully), a form of Judith's Journal basekit; would fit obsession theme, stalk power rework; maybe something like GF where it's individually based or maybe stalk tiers on survivor debuff them depending on level. There is a lot they could do with a stalk rework.
Dracula: Bat nerfed, Wolf buffed, add-ons changed, transformation speed nerfed
Demo: Buffed portals and prolly some add-on changes. Shred seems mostly fine to me but maybe a couple tweaks.
Wesker: Would love to see some of Egg basekit personally. Maybe some more anti-tunnel stuff, I doubt anything major.
Vecna: I think they'll prolly make a weaker version of the spell cooldown add-ons basekit while also nerfing said add-ons. They've done this a lot in the past. Maybe some other QoL stuff or add-on changes. I doubt anything too major.
Chucky: No idea. I haven't played him as much as I'd like so this could be minor or something major.
Ghost Face: I thought Ghosty was mostly fine so maybe add-on tweaks and QoL stuff. Doubt it's anything crazy.
-
Nope because killers like Nurse, Billy, Blight, Spirit, etc. are all better then Wesker.
Also, if you want to go for a DLC killers are P2W then why not use Dracula instead? He's probably the strongest licensed character we have at the moment.
Right around Spirt level IMO. -
It's because they have wallhacks so they can't be mind-gamed. They also react and dodge to some killers a lot better than others; Huntress, Billy, etc.
If you try to loop them like a normal person then it prolly won't work out well and as such, some loops need to be brute forced. Window loops are the best since it's easy to get them to three vault and then get a hit.
Play against them a few times in custom and it becomes really easy to outplay them. -
Congrats!
I just checked mine and I joined up back in May 2019 so I have a 5th year badge. It boggles my mind as I didn't think I was on here for nearly that long.
May you have another good 4+ years! -
I imagine yes but I'm more interested to see how long it lasts.
I have a feeling it'll be popular and break numbers but will probably fall off rather quickly once the newcomers who are only coming for FNAF quickly realize DBD isn't for them.I personally don't believe we'll see much player retention from this but who knows until it gets here.
-
I made a prototype Mimic killer thread a couple years back that I haven't updated in sometime but my idea was more a body-swap killer in order to get a Mimic-like effect.
The killer would be something like The Mannequin and it'd have the power to body swap people with each other or itself. So you might go in the trial starting as Dwight and part way through end up as your teammate David using their perks. The Survivor would also be able to play in the killers body with unique options as they got swapped around. There'd be a bit more too it but that was my general idea for a Mimic-esque killer. -
While I'll say PC is no doubt better overall, console killers are plenty playable. Having played every killer and seen quite a few decent killers on console, I think the only ones you should avoid are Trickster and to a much lesser degree Pinhead.
Trying to control Pinheads chain on console is very difficult but it's hard in general so it kind of gets a pass.
Trickster however requires a lot of micro adjustments using his knives and IMO is the hardest killer to play properly on console and none of the others even come close.Nurse, Billy, Blight, etc. are all playable with a lot of practice; more then you'd need on PC but are still plenty doable. I've seen a couple PS5 killers of those that I would have thought were PC.
I've also played against a Huntress main on PS5 with I think around 5-6k hours and they were a monster. Not the best Huntress I've seen period but with the cross-maps, double hits and just general nasty shots they were insane. An outlier to be sure but shows it's doable.
-
It certainly exists but it's really only noticeable at the extremes IMO.
I have 3-4 killers that I only play when I'm trying to win and the rest I generally just mess around with. I'll 8 hook and then farm or meme or do whatever which means a lot more people escaping.
There is a very noticeable difference between the killers I'm trying to win with vs the killers I don't.
For the killers I try to win with, the groups vary in skill; sometimes they're bad, good or just kind of meh. For the killers I'm not trying to win with; they're always bad outside of a suspected backfill lobby. For most people though, I doubt the killer specific MMR will even make much of a difference since they're probably all in range of each other anyway.
