I may be in the minority, but I was a killer main for many years until just before the blight chapter. I haven’t played the game since because of a few reasons from toxic communication & balance.
-
I honestly think questions are a joke sometimes.
From my personal experience I quit the game before twins was released. Im fairly certain I wasn’t the only killer to leave. I wasn’t the best killer, but I was alright I guess as a rank 1 nurse main with no perks. The only reason I quit was of the exhaustion of having to focus so much on so many different elements in any given game.
Those that quit aren’t being replaced with the same level of new killers resulting in queue increases.
-
I just thought it is weird they announced it months before it’s scheduled to be released.
I like resident evil especially the remakes, but I’m still disappointed it’s coming to DBD at the moment. They’ve not released a new map in a very long time excluding revisions of course, and unless this chapter comes with a themed map I’d remain disappointed.
-
its a waste of both players time. The amount of points accumulated do not make it worth while.
-
I used to stream. Had usually 1-2 viewers at any given time. One time I won a game against another very popular Spanish streamer which resulted in 80+ viewers coming into the stream all sharing insulting comments on looks, play style etc. Blurring out names or changing the name I think is a good healthy step.
-
Nurse. I couldn’t imagine a scarier movie based on any of the characters. Literally a killer appearing from anywhere and showing remorse to those she kills is just terrifying!
-
Yes you’re right. This is why survivor queue times are long and players like me who main killers quit a long time ago 😊
-
I played the game of grinding the rifts. Completed & paid for 3. I started to resent the game and felt frustrated because of the time consumed to level up. In the end I was exhausted and haven’t played the game in 6 months or so!
-
I might be mistaken as I haven’t played the game in several months, but I hear survivor queue times are increasing. This will likely lead to a delayed nerfed Freddy.
-
I don’t understand the issue of the hooked survivor. Why would you risk 4% chance of escape when no one is coming to rescue you and result in second hook state? It makes sense (at least to me) to try when someone is coming as in the 96% chance I fail I’m still being unhooked!
You should probably take a break if you think this behaviour is toxic.
-
No.
-
You're whining literally about tunnelling lol.
As a killer main, I always go for the survivor that has completed the unhook IF I am still with in close proximity of the hooked survivor.
-
I mastered nurse a little over four months ago and I went from rank 1 to rank 8 before I even started to grasp her. That doesn't include any rank reset. I’m now a perk less and add on less nurse sitting in rank 1-2 winning at least 90% of my games, because survivors are very predictable when you’ve been outplayed the same move over 100 times.
My advice, watch tofu video on how to play nurse. It helped me tremendously! After that endure the pain of t bags, clicking lights, after chat abuse and little to no deaths and keep going. Eventually it will click how to play her and you will win, you will keep winning and all those miserable games will be a distant memory.
finally, thank you for posting. This reminded me how I felt starting out as nurse and it’s nice to see I wasn’t alone 😀

As a killer main, dead hard is NOT a problem lmao, not only does it not work 90% of the damn time, but you can bait out dead hard easily. If they make it to a pallet, they make it to the pallet.
I'm glad someone else who is a killer main is on the same wave length. Couldn't agree more - fellow killer main.
-
I prefer the new hud to the white and black version. Just please put it in the bottom left corner or bottom right corner. I don’t even stream and I hate it plastered all over the place.
-
The gen times are perfectly fine. I have no issue dominating a match as a nurse who uses 0 perks or addons playing against rank 1s and 2s survivors.
The real problem is the killers ability to apply sufficient pressure in the game. Some killers have better mobility and abilities than others allowing them to apply the pressure needed.
-
Fine polish? Nurse without doubt. She is the longest running bugged killer. The fact I can guarantee in every single game, I can try a blink that will not work either with the odd double wasted blink that stops you from blinking at all, but does the sound and hand movement of a blink or those blinks that won't go through objects illustrates her inconsistency.
-
Never. At times camping & tunnelling is a necessary strategy in order to get the upper hand when a game could otherwise be thrown and lost.
-
Can someone explain to me how OoO has changed?
-
My goodness, it’s nerf killer, after killer, after killer. When will this end?! There are so many counters to nurse, you just have to break line of sight and not run in a straight line!
I hardly play the game these days due to the lack of new content and when I do it’s only to play as a nurse. If she is nerfed again I’m completely gone.
-
Don’t play if it bothers you. Seriously, I get the annoyance of SWF, but if they make you feel like that then take a break.
-
There is absolutely no point.

I think you didn’t read what I said. I said DS should be unlimited duration but if the survivor touch’s a Gen, gets healed to full health, completely cleanses a totem, unhooks another survivor or if the killer hooks another survivor the perk deactivates.
This all works fine above, but hooking another survivor doesn’t solve the tunnelling issue as the 2nd video shows. You can literally tunnel a survivor off the hook, knock them down and then hook someone else to deactivate the DS. The survivor who was unhooked deserves in that instance the DS to remain active as they did nothing to progress the game.

I've recently come back to DBD from a break of a couple of months and play nurse perkless. Well I use only light born, but 9 times out of 10 its not used because hardly anyone uses torches. Since my return some 10-15 games later I have not lost one game as I've slowly moved down the ranks from purple heading back to red ranks. My advice to anyone who wants to learn killer. Play without perks, dominate the game and with that any nerf to addons are not of a concern.
The game hardest mode is solo, they're being penalized by not playing in SWF comms and queue times. That all said, I appreciate the lack of love for many killers makes sense why queue times for survivors continue to increase.
-
until last night I hadn’t played the game in 3/4 months, I got tired of what I deemed to be toxic behaviour from several survivors per day. I was a killer only player. Yesterday I played a couple of hours with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it in the yellow ranks. I did play as a perkless nurse for a couple of games in green ranks and won most games, but the toxic comments continue, so I quit. Shame, but this game is what it is and the mentality will always remain the same.
This game is so difficult to balance without frustrating the other side, but the recent updates including hex, pop, and Mori without any nerfs on the other side has left me feeling the time I quit was the right time.
-
More the opposite. Her bugs are no longer funny and need ironing out. Call that a buff if you like, but her current state is bad. The fact her addons are all laughable too and more used for memes than actually playing is another issue, but that can be ignored, because I believe there are enough of us that can play her without such addons.
-
I main nurse and have done for the past 4 months or so. I have no comparison to what she was like prior to her current state :( I've gone through multiple variations of addons and find Dark Cincture & Heavy Painting are my favourite combo reducing the blink fatigue drastically and keeping up with chases much easier. I can 4k without it, but find the quicker the blinks regenerate the quicker the chase ends. I only really struggle against SWF or very high skilled survivors, but if there is only the one very good survivor, I usually win by capturing the weaker links.
All that said, I do not find her fun. She has endless bugs, which become apparent very quickly - or at least they did when I started learning her.
-
Sort the flashlight bug out. It frustrates me that I use light born to avoid being blinded, but whenever someone tries to flash light me I can't blink for several seconds.
-
I waited over 10 minutes to find a game to be mori in less than half that time. As I queue for the next game I came to the forums to read this.
-
The issue with buffing solo is you can guarantee some SWF will keep lobby dodging until they're in with their mates.
-
As a nurse main I generally leave them closed. Unless its game over and I want extra BP
-
pop and ruin together are wasted

This happens on all platforms. Get off your high horse.
High horse? What are you talking about?! I've never witnessed this on PC.
-
It shouldn't even be in the game. This is not a social gathering around a campfire pointing out how to 'git gud' when you was against a swf squad or a killer claiming 'ez' when they tunnel, camp etc etc.
-
Punishing killers/survivors for enduring toxic game play from the other is not an acceptable reason to bring back the DC ban!
-
It's super realistic if you're starting up a car!

You know, Dead by Daylight forum posts have been popping up in my Google now feed a lot and it's really made me surprised how much people care about the game.
That's google not the popularity of the game. You realise google use analytics to present to you feeds that you would have more interest in resulting in more time on their platform which then equals more money
-
This whole math equation thing is absolute BS. Seriously you're saying it takes more than 50% of a killers objective to mori one survivor. Where is the logic in that when you still have 3 other survivors to factor to the equation not 1!
-
Is it not intentional to allow balance on number of players playing both roles? I mean there are 3 more survivors to a killer in a game, so it make sense why they'd offer more bp to play as killer vs. survivor.
-
"Nurse is still the only killer that comes close to looking OP. Now it takes a lot of practice to get that good and you need to make very few mistakes, but she still has by far the highest potential in the game and it's ridiculous that some people try to put Spirit over her in tier lists because they read others say it online."
As a nurse main, who has endured a lot of pain to learn the nurse I have become as a rank 1 I can tell you for certain whilst she is a powerful killer, she is not OP and I would 100%, without doubt put spirit in a higher tier to nurse if not on the same level.
The reason I say this is because I know all the bugs that come with nurse and if a survivor knows them, which some do she is very easily outplayed. I won't go into specifics but in certain areas on maps the nurse could blink aiming up but shoot directly down which would then end the chase. Blinks don't work on certain areas of the maps, again can end chases. Then there is delays on occasions with her second blink swing which is long enough delay for the survivor right in front of you to run just enough distance to miss hit them.
All that said, nurse is still very strong and can dominate most scenarios.

I don't know if I am alone, but the temple is still bugged to me. It won't let me blink upstairs.
Also they could fix the animation when breaking pallets.
yes! literally just played against survivors who apparently main her calling it ggez when they kept running to the temple so I would shoot below not up!

I only noticed Jayne. Never knew Kate's did

Hope is a survivor perk, not killer, and it doesn't slow the game..
Oh yes haha my bad. I always refer to devour hope as 'hope'. My bad 😂
-
DS is abused by locker hoppers, cleansing totems and doing gens in front of the killer. The killer has two choices at best take the stun or ignore them. It's design needs adjusting.
-
You slow it down with hope. As soon as you smack one to the ground who is healthy with that they all instantly get off gens.
-
Nurse yes she takes a lot of learning and dedication to become deadly. Spirit absolutely not! She requires no skill and a good headset.

Easy question. Beating players like the ones you’re complaining about.
Not everyone likes competitive video games, but if that’s the issue then maybe move on from multiplayers.
This isn't a competitive game though or at least that's what I constantly read in these forums.
-
First hook is BS! It makes absolutely little to no difference if you get your first hook in under 60 seconds.
The entire game design in its present form entices people to play with their friends. Cross play, discord channel, forums ETC ETC. Which I would like to firstly state is absolutely fine and I welcome it! That said however, with that you will find that SWF are in the majority be it 2 man, 3 man even 4 man which is less common. This creates an advantage to the survivors allowing for generators be completed quicker as the survivors will work more optimally. The result - 120 seconds go by and 2/3 gens will pop in more games than not.
Honestly, I wish the DEVS would actually listen and present to us what they feel is if any anything is appropriate solution. The whole point of being the killer is to entice fear and power over the survivors. I can play Ghost face, Myers bare in mind they are licence killers and more times than not I get litterally p***ed all over with all 4 escaping in red ranks. When I play nurse however I will kill almost all survivors more times than I lose.
The balance is far from equal and it's so easy to identify when you're playing against a bunch of solos vs a 3 man + SWF
-
As a killer main I 100% agree this should happen. I don't tunnel anyone off the hook and still achieve min 2k, predominantly 3/4K depending if they find the hatch. Why should baby killers be entitled to literally plough someone out the game when they should equally be entitled to have fun in the game.
