I swear it wouldn't take a month to realize how unfair and miserable this map is.
It should have had some tweaks when coming back to DbD I agree.
-
Prestige portrait 🥕
-
Hawkins got several unfair aspects as killer.
1) 3rd floor (where interrogation rooms are), rift lab generators are very safe unless killer is Nurse or stealth killer. The capsule you showed and 2nd floor generators in long rectangle room are same context.
2) Very numerous pallets. 3~5 pallets are very weak but Hawkins has more than 20 pallets. Not all pallets are safe but hallway pallets are decent if you pre-drop and run long. And some long rectangle rooms got very powerful pallets.
3) Room entrance/exits. It is very noticeable when you try to get inside the room but doors are blocked. This is also annoying as survivor. Very hard to patrol and might take time to start chases because entrance/exits are very unapparent.
The map's balance is around 2019 and that's probably why it feels terrible.
Personally I hate Hawkins more than Gideon as killer.
-
At least Artist makes creaking sound and I like Knight's footstep sounds while being chased.
-
Obvious nerf. Because deep wound is more situational than "injured" state.
Even with removal of Exhausted condition.
New MFT haste can only be earned through successful DH/Styptic or other endurance perks.
But current MFT haste is earned way too easy.
-
Legion, Trickster, Wesker, Skull Merchant
They all lack horror vibes and not scary at all.
-
Whether the perk is strong or not, people won't use it if it is not useful.
I'd say it is close to OG Spine Chill level.
-
I think many previous leaks have caused somehow.
-
It won't be solved because huge ego problem was rooted since game release.
This is also common to killers I beleive.
Most survivors will hate killers who are annoying, boring, very strong 'unless they are bad'.
Game is more than 7 years old and they still hate camp, tunnel, slug, hit & run, many slowdown perks.
And if any killers who they hate win with strats they hate, they say killer don't deserve win and call the match was cheap.
Funny thing is they complain everytime and always click 'ready' button after game.
-
Nerfing all killers won't make you feel better.
-
Is your point "Trickster doesn't need buffs because I hate him."?
-
Soon™
-
Overnerf for those who thought the perk was completely fine and can't loop till many gens without it.
100% justified.
-
I'd rather prefer him having 110% speed. Removing pallet break is like changing him into Nurse without blink.
-
Hope next tweak contains more perk changes including Boon & Hex.
-
You can't be serious comaring MFT nerf to Ruin level.
What are these concerns survivor will be unplayable without MFT? Like was it unplayable before its release?
-
Removing recoil? Good.
Needless to mention how frustrating it is to play as console and accurate aim didn't matter at all.
4.6m/s? I frankly thought this could be too much but increasing laceration meter 6 to 8 and reducing the time to decrease, I think it's acceptable. His 4.4m/s speed is pretty unplayable on certain loops to utilize his power even if he is ranged killer. About current version, he's probably the only 110% killer who desperately needs Bamboozle. Also don't forget his speed while holding knife is slow and cooldown takes time.
Main event? The only thing I am concerned. With new add-ons he can proc main event with 3 successful shots. I know duration reduced to half but I'd rather increase the requirement to 24 rather than 6 and give control of when you can use it. It just doesn't make sense he has reload mechanic and main event is very cheap.
-
I remember you get that intro 7 days later after buying Sadako.
-
DbD playerbase where many players like "their" fairness and are overdramatic.
-
Self-Care.
But I don't think every patch can contain buffing both sides.
There's gonna be still new chapter content so hopefully more will be in next survivor only chapter.
I wish new patch included either Blight add-on changes or Pinhead's Original Pain add-on change.
-
1) Player Card looks interesting. Kinda curious how this will be with anonymous mode. I wish people could see others' cards in the lobby.
2) Trickster changes are massive but main event looks so cheap and worrysome now. Is it really hard to give control when to use it?
3) Made For This change looks okay. The haste effect should never have had easy condition like "injured". I mean it was evident the perk definitely would have gotten nerf. The perk won't be used as much as now but given it has Endurance, I don't think this will be obsolete or dead.
4) Didn't expect GoJ and Mother's Dwelling/Temple of Purgation will all be patched together. I have to see how these map balances are in PTB but I guess new chapter won't include new map?
Overall, I enjoy this Nov developer update and wish future ones were huge like this one.
-
Except main event changes, I think he's okay.
-
Who does not know killer is much better than old days except mori, certain perks?
Your point is like survivors should be thankful to killers because he/she's playing a killer for them.
-
I am fine with Adrenaline and Windows.
I'd be satisfied if they tweak Made For This, BU combined with FTP and remove repair bonus from Resi.
-
It was eventual in my opinion.
Surely 6.1.0 patch did reduce certain perks having very high rate but now people are using the perks that are impactful and better than the ones which got hard nerf.
To prevent this, there should be more frequent perk updates but it is needless to say how slow and empty DbD patches are.
-
If you are one of those who are trying to take any early giveups granted because of "Against this killer, it is impossible to survive.", "I hate this killer.", please go play other games because you will never be happy here and don't harm other players experience. Thank you.
-
The map didn't get better in balance wise.
I hope Mother's Dwelling to be on BHVR's map balance radar after Garden of Joy.
This map shouldn't be big like this.
-
I don't think he is the weakest.
He has very powerful addons in purple rarity which turn him into very viable killer.
Also once you start to predict where next cube spawns, you will get much better with him.
Pinhead is A tier killer imo.
-
I don't mind. No reason to have stereotype because of prestige numbers.
The only stereotype I have is anonoymous mode players because there are so many cheaters who hide within it.
-
The thing is good nurse players don't need them and not even strong as old addons she had.
Heavy Painting is a bit overrated. Keepsake and addons which reduce her exhaustion time are much better than that imo.
I don't mind the addon disappears or not but my opinion is there aren't addons that make her more oppressive at this point.

1) You can avoid drone lasers by crouch walking, standing still (which includes doing gen, totem, exit gate, camping pallet/vault) before laser comes. This won't be much useful when you are in chase but you can utilize this knowledge.
2) By doing either of them, deactivate drones which make loops dangerous when you are not in chase. Be careful with Stealth Mode drones which don't have cones (you can still see lasers rotating). Also you can see the range of Stealth Mode drones if you look under.
3) She knows where you are whenever you get detected by drone (short duration) or have claw trap (until battery expires) on you. Trying to hide after getting detected isn't a smart choice.
4) Her haste number is proportion to the number of survivors who were detected (for a short time) & claw traps. Avoiding lasers as possible will not benefit her. This one highly depends on your teammates knowledge.
5) Whenever she installs drone, she get undetectable so make sure to hear her carefully and look around.
6) If you have no idea how to loop her, just play as if you are versing Clown.
-
I wouldn't mind original Thana atp but don't think it will be buffed.
Personally rather than buffing Thana I hope Deja-Vu and Resilience's repair bonus getting nerfed.
-
Female survivors vaults are broken again.
-
The combo makes me think 8 tokens of STBFL and Alc Ring are very fine.
-
Basement offering + Badham preschool and Temple of Purgation too.
-
All it need is disposal.
I would wait 3 minutes catching queue if I can have more fair match than SBMM decides.
-
Old UI, old darker maps
Kinda miss old survivor face/animations which looked goofy too.
-
Sadly I haven't seen those survivors getting punished for that.
All I can advise you is try to focus on crows flying (someone's near), crows sitting (someone moved crow 15 sec ago).
If you find basement is not where they are hiding, check multi floor sections and corner of map.
-
Good headset with pallet town map
-
That looks definitely cheat to me. Especially right before he goes inside shack.
Don't understand why there are many "your fault" comments when cheaters are the one to be blamed.
Might have downed Ace if waited a bit longer but it just sucks when you know you encountered cheater.
-
She's objectively weak.
Pig got powerful slowdown ability but downing survivors quick is as important as slowdowns.
Ambush attack is only useful when you corner survivors, which is very situational.
Her stealth is not bad imo but lacks both mobility (which Sadako, Wraith has) and lethality (which Ghostface, Myers has).
I guess that's the weight of having slowdown ability sadly.
-
Killers who can't catch up survivors who held W early (no mobility),
whose power isn't effective at catching survivors in loops (no anti-loop)
-
I'd say they aren't "must" but "have to" if you care about winning.
Don't know why people try to appeal counterpart's "feelings" when some players just want to win.
"Because of ruining others experience." "DbD is casual game."
Isn't it obvious in game where survivors will either live or die?
Casual? Meta will never stop.
You can think some ways to win are not needed, unnecessary but that's just your opinion.
There's nothing wrong with playing for wins (strong killers, SWF, meta perks, tunnel/camp/slug, gen rush etc) and thinking such players as tryhard or dirty is just an unmature mindset.
-
The game never had any reasons to hook as many than kill someone quick.
Feels bad for your frustrating experience in this game but DbD is no longer "casual" friendly.
DbD is 7 years old, many people realized how to play efficiently.
Considering MMR system, many balance (map, items, killers etc) changes, I think the game is leaning towards competitive side more than casual.
Players care results, don't have to care how counterparts feel and playing fair for counterparts isn't smart thing to do.
-
Or just equip Unbreakable or Boon (like Exponential) by yourself.
Both sides have massive snowball factors by how they play, perks they use, good decisions.
Adding more and more basekits just kills fun of variables and make game dull.
-
I feel like devs have cared to have unique event features.
But don’t care how event stuffs can be an inefficient thing to do considering survival/kills.
Trying to participate as much as possible on the event is throwing a game whichever side you play.
-
Not that great to play this event for 19 or 20 days long, I wouldn't do event stuff except challenges.
I wish Void only opened when exit gates are powered, killers had enough time to go Void when game isn't going well.
Also, perks shouldn't work (like Bamboozle) in Void and all killers should have 4.6m/s speed there.
-
As survivor,
#1 buy time until 1 gen pop or teammates reset healing
Trying to keep distance as soon as you see killer far away, hear terror radius will help this.
#2 stay away from gen that teammates are repairing or has many progress, injured survivors
Troubleshooter, Bond, Empathy are helpful for this.
#3 don't loop into wrong direction or stay in edge map loop
If you get hit in TL loop where edge map is near and not leave the loop, you will go down fast than holding W into opposite side.
As killer,
1) force survivor loop into the direction which will corner him or block the next strong loop
Straight opposite of #3
2) choose whether it is good decision to chase survivor who already kept distance pretty much, give up chasing in strong connected loops
Be cautious when decent pallet loop and strong window are connected together
3) sometimes not respecting pallet and eating them fast could be right choice
Because of Made For This and Resilience, there are many survivors who greed to loop killer as long as possible.
4) don't mindgame strong pallets
Just break it, shack/jungle gym and god pallets.
-
At this point I hope BHVR find better matchmaking options or let us see player's MMR.
Seriously, just because it will scare some people, not letting players see their own/others MMR is a stuipid take.
