Its shows that perks and addons don't determine success for a killer.
-
They cost a perk slot.
-
Show all matches against random pubs where he demolishes them.
-
I played a lot of trickster and he's easily countered. That's his biggest weakness. There is no skill that gets around a 110 killer that moves even slower when using his power. Shack, TL walls destroy him.
-
The killer can only chase 1 person. Hiding your aura only dooms everyone else. The chances are better for the team if everyone doesn’t hide than if a few do. There are specific situations like doing the last gen solo or the last person free when you may want to hide. But it’s counterproductive to hide every time.
-
Indoor maps are killer sided in general. Even weaker killers do better on indoor maps. A lot of players, regardless of role, just refuse to learn those maps and it shows.
-
Biggest reason for me: I only need to unlock perks on 1 person to play survivor. But I have unlock perks for each and every killer I want to play. I already play a few killers enough and are bored with them. But to play the other killers I need to amass millions of bloodpoints just to be competitive. If I have an hour, I'd rather hop on survivor and use all my perks than hop on killer and feel weak because I'm playing with random perks.

Good point. Genrushing has some counterplay perks.
Also camping and tunnelling has some counterplay perks.
For anti tunnel, DS + BT + DH + Second Wind + For the People etc. They all can make killer slower and give you good loops. And then that about your skill vs killer's skill. So you can make him lose.
For anti camp BT + DS + Deliverance combo will help. You are saving your teammate with BT. And then you are taking hits for him and gives him chance to escape. When killer take and put you hook. Deliverance gives you %100 escape from hook. DS gives you another chance. And then you have safe loops. And again game turning your skill vs killer's skill.
Also when killer is camping, you can end gens fastly and escape. That is also so effectife counterplay.
So point is we have to stop complain about tactics we do not like. We can not choice about who playing like how. So we just have to fight back against, that's all.
DS and BT violate the killer's rule book.

The problem isn't keys. Its hatch. A lot of survivors just hide and wait from everyone else to die and go for hatch. Red rank, 1000hr survivors play like this.
Hatch should only spawn for 5 gens done or 1 survivor left. No spawning but closed, no gens/survivor alive math. Either do gens or everyone else dies. Its playing the prisoners dilemma because if a person try to do gens and playing as intended, they will get killed while people who aren't contributing are vying for hatch.
-
Self care is good in solo queue. Its has drawbacks which make it balanced.
-
The problem is that map selection is its a secret, unless you use an offering. Its really stupid but the kind of stupid that DBD thrives on. Let the killer and survivor prepare for the map instead of the person with the offering.
-
Trapper trapped a raised pallet, I deadhard over it, trapper get caught in his own trap, then pallet stunned him.
Another trapper trapped the side of a car loop on bedham, I sidestepped just so to avoid the trap and continued looping the car. The trapper caught me eventually and camped me. We laughed about it later.
-
Sprint Burst lets you get away from deadzones, taking the risk of certain gens when used well. It lets you pick where you want to loop. The only drawback is it gives no value on fast killers like nurse or blight. But it helps in ways against 1-hit killers that Dead Hard could never.
-
Killers don't care about balance when they are 4k'ing a team that screws up. They care about balance when they go against a swf that doesn't make noob mistakes.
-
Camping is more nuanced than standing by a survivor for 2 minutes. Most survivors don't realize what is happening and think no one is going to rescue. Then one by one survivors stop what they are doing, go see what's happening, and have to find a generator to repair to take advantage of the camping. The previous steps wastes time for survivors. Maybe there was already a progress on a generator and you resume repairing. But either way, you don't get a full 2 minutes or so to repair.
Once the victim is second stage, the damage is done. The killer can either proxy camp or patrol. If the survivor is unhooked, they killer can return and finish them off or know that one survivor is almost eliminated. Its win/win for the killer except a few situations. If survivors have kindred or selfish, the killer will be countered.
-
"Why do this?"
You need more experience.
-
Its a good map. You have to learn it.
-
Monitor, Pop, Corrupt, anything you like.
-
You'll get a lot of value from monitor and pop because he's slow. He's lethal in most places on the map with 2 exceptions; shack and TL walls. Treat pallets and vaults like pyramid head. You will get a lot of hits and injuries at those. Avoid mindlessly holding his daggers at the ready because you move even slower. Its better to chase until close and then switch to his daggers, like plague.
-
If a whole team gets slugged, its the survivors fault. Too many players ignore slugged survivors and get downed with no help. Or too many survivors are thirsty for rescues that they end up slugged themselves.
-
Killer is more stressful because most killers are try-hards that take everything personally.
-
End game is toss-up. The match is over.
The real problem with 2 survivors vs 1 killer. Because its playing around hatch and seeing who can hide the best.

Pretty sure it was one time. People complain because it is still a big issue since the nerf wasn't enough. It wasn't even really a nerf, more of a change.
Look at the change https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Decisive_Strike

DS was nerfed multiple times in the past. People complain forever.
