bruh no, the survivors will just fix all the generators, and then either the three of them will run away or the three will save you without any problems

Gens don't go that fast lmao. As you camp and tunnel each player out then they go slower. And with the med kit nerf and dead hard it's even easier to do

  • @Emeal said:

even with tunneling Survivors still escape, or else all the Killer's killrates would be 90% right now, which they are not or bHVR would have done something-

They need to somehow look at kill rates in solo que separately from kill rates with teammates. I'm sure SWFs are severely padding that number and solo que sucks because of it

  • @sanees said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/375922/camping-and-tunneling

camping is incredibly inefficient, and tunneling is only effective if survivors allow it to be effective

It's almost always effective in solo que

  • @JustAnotherNewbie said:

I dunno, I see my teammates do gens all the time now that we can see their actions. So I'm not sure I get this. Do they still make mistakes? Plenty (like not using their healthstates and hook states throughout the game, being selfish or hiding all the time etc.). I also get people who DC or hook suicide or people who don't wanna do gens at all (those are a rarity though).

But I am surprised at how often I see people do gens in fact.

The rest of the stuff is harder to fix in solo survivor.

Sometimes I get great teammates but most of the time I dont

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

Why is this in the Feedback and Suggestions section?

Devs need to see it too. Played 10 different killers tonight. 4ks every game (not even kidding) Games not fun anymore. Period

  • Well the killers just camp and tunnel now also so it's even less fun

Oh yeah thanks for making my que time faster, less survivor is generally feasible in dbd.

Play against bots I guess makes it faster and easier for killers. Killer is easy enough as is, at least against solo que

    K bye.

Imagine quitting a game because you can't choose your opponent. Do you also quit fighting games because you can't tell your opponent whom to pick? Or a shooter because you can't decide what guns the enemy team uses?

That's definitely not the reason I would quit, I've dealt with playing against a killer I hate because other games were fun. Game isn't as fun now tbh lol the changes to the game make it easier to quit as a survivor. Killers are loving it I'm sure

  • @GamerButNotCapitalG said:

So? Either accept that you will get matched with Killers you don't like, or don't play.

Why should mains of those Killers get inflated queue times by allowing half the player base to block them? This is an incredibly selfish idea. 'I don't like Nurse, so Nurse players should get completely shafted by queue times to make me happy!'

And, of course, you turn around and say 'Killers blocking Survivors perks ain't the same'. So...selfish AND entitled; Survivors can block entire Killers, but Killers get...nothing. Because they're NPCs that have no right to have a fun game.

Fun games are a Survivor-only perk. Killer players exist for Survivor entertainment. That's all horrible ideas like this really say.

Current dbd is currently getting easier to quit so I probably will. Good luck finding matches

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/368086/killer-button

I just had lengthy conversations in this forum about that very idea. Bottom line is, it cannot be realized without also introducing massive abuse potential.

You proposal is even worse: You write about blocking MULTIPLE killers, not just one. Just imagine what would happen to strong killers like Nurse, Blight or Spirit, if any survivor could block them as a batch. You wouldn't be able to ever play them again, or at least have to wait incredible long time to play them.

You could argue that this should only work for new players (less 100h or something), but even that could be abused by swf. There's just no simple implementation without risking massive queue times for certain killers.

It's simply the fact that I waste 15+ mins of my time playing against a killer that I suck against and isn't the least bit fun.

  • @OhMyLumi said:

I do agree that the game has become more painful to play as a survivor since the last patch. There are times I ask myself if BHVR is trying to make the game as unpleasant as they can for their players on both sides..i do think they went overboard with the medkit and healing nerfs.. all medkits have the same charges regardless of rarity.. thats just not ok imo. higher rarity medkits should heal a faster.. even if only a lil... or have more charges the higher the rarity. whats the point of even buying a green or purple medkit anymore right now? did healing and medkits need changing? in my honest opinion just the green medkit... base healing was fine, self heal speed was fine. now its painful to heal. and CoH is only viable in a swf now. It is funny.. but the more I look at the changes ot survivor in last patch... I just see solo q nerfs.. and that pains me big time.

Yeah the game sucks to play now against any decent killer

  • My mistake but I was talking about self healing with a med kit. Regardless nurses calling will jack us up because it's hard to find another survivor in solo que. Team play is fine but purely solo que sucks

No, I definetly said 8 seconds, before you could do it evenin less with good medkits, also correct me if im wrong but the helaing changes made it so that altruistic healing is still 16s no? What they changed was medkit and self heal speed.

No it was 16 and now it's 24 with a med kit

  • @squbax said:

Because before you could heal in like 8 seconds? Erasing all pressure and resteing in like a fraction of what that hit took?

16 seconds but now it takes so long. just slap on nurses calling and your got your self an easy kill

You're not a casual if you are high MMR, and I say that as someone that is casual and low MMR, but healing with a medkit is still useful and Dead Hard gave me the possibility multiple time to extend the chases by 40 - 60 seconds while making the Killer running away from the gens.

If your Killers does not follow you, then you're definitely High MMR.

    I'm definitely not high MMR

  • @NekoGamerX said:

someone just made a thread on nerfing deadlock.🙄

Killers with deadlock, hex ruin, nurses calling and jolt and or scrooge hookers etc are absolutely killing it against casual players. We aren't that good at looping.

  • Not sure where you came up with all of this but I never said nerf killers. I just said the med changes have made it easier for killers to carry just a few perks very effectively. Us casual players are screwed. I actually don't mind the DH nerf but med changes have changed the game completely.

  • I was correct. This game sucks for the casual player with the med update. You better find the best place away from the killer and that's doesn't even matter. With nurses calling they are just going to find you before you finish anyway.

i mean i dont know why games should not be 30 min. sounds like a solit time for a fun round. that ofcourse would mean that its actually fun.

if the games are to short that either means the killer is to strong or to weak. if gens would not be so god darn boring i would say games could be longer so there is more time for the actuall fun part and thats the chases. but thats dbds biggest flaw. there is only one killer for four survs only one can get into the fun at the same time so technically the survs would need a long objective that is fun at the same time wich is not easy to make and at the same time if everyone plays for the chases no matter how fun the objective is its not as fun as the chases and if its super dupper fun they would get anoyed by the killer

2 kills and 2 escapes is supposed to be the average. If it was 30 min of action then fine but it's not. Time is always in favor of the killer because 30 min games will mean. Not being able to completely gens because they're zoned, not doing gens because you're trying to find a teammate to heal, while in the mean time the killer is kicking gens down to nothing, trying to rescue a survivor and then heal and then do gens and without DH solo que is going to be a disaster. Long games aren't fun. 15 min is the max for me.

  • @Starrseed said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3390599#Comment_3390599

while i get from where you come with that idea you forget one important thing.

there wil always be a killer that is considered to be the best/strongest by the majority of the community. thats does not even mean the killer is super op and unbalanced but someone has to be the best thats just how it works.

so now think about your idea what do you think will happen with this killer? ofcourse people who like to play that killer will have unbelieveble long q times because people will block that killer.

what now. do we nerv that killer even so he does not overperform? that would suck for people who like that killer. we could buff another killer to dethrone the best killer but that would just switch it from one to another.

in practice you cant have a killer block feature cause it would just be super frustrating for every killer player. just imagine what will happen every time a new killer comes out. people love to scream op at everything new cause they just had no time to adjust and learn yet. doesnt sound super fun right? you see the trailers for a new killer you are hyped af and then you cant play him for like three weeks till the majority of players ban another killer.

in the end a ban feature does not work well in a game like dbd. if there is a killer that drasticly overperformes its on the devs to see that and fix it.in your case where you just dont go well against certain killers it sucks but if you like dbd you need to power through that and learn to fight them. when i started dbd huntress was my nemesis. no other killer was that bad for me (well maybe nurse but she is in her only little realm bullshittery) but now i can stand against her and often even win.

Yes, absolutely nerf the killer that overperforms. I just want a killer that performs so that the game is fun for all. Otherwise, I'll play for hours hoping to get a fun game. Matches are becoming 30 min, especially in solo que and if not its because my teammates let me die on hook. The patch goes through and solo que is dead. I can play a lot other games for hours that will be more fun

  • @BlightedDolphin said:

This is not a good idea and should never be implemented.

What killer do you want to avoid? If you tell us we might be able to help you counter them so it isn't as bad when you get them.

Honestly, I don't mind blight and nurse. If they're good, it's at least a quick game and I move on to the next but if they're inexperienced then it can be a fun game. Knight is OP, Skull merchant is OP and I'm just not good enough to counter killers who throw or spit. I play this game for fun, and sometimes it's not.

Why I'm not surprised that you don't even understand what the patch was about or that you see "balancing the game" as "making it killer sided", either!

And don't tell me, you aren't good against the killers that you can't avoid simply by dropping pallets and pressing W like Nurse, would assume?

The patch is destroying solo healing, Regression perks are getting over nerf, I will say but some are definitely OP. 8 sec longer to heal? The games are either going to last forever or killer is getting a quick 4k, no in between. Flashlight changes not a big deal but pointless really. DH nerf is not great for those who suck at the game and want to have fun but not a huge deal but mixed with the healing changes is atrocious

Why it don't surprise me the "killers OP" guy just think the next patch would be the end of it because he just prefer to have a "block button" than learning how to play against some killers.

Because I'm good against some and not against other... pretty simple. And the next patch would destroy the game for a lot of people even if it's not you. Killer mains are the worst part of the game. You get everything you want but complain about DH instead of learning to play against ONE perk Well BHVR to your rescue again. POS

Rather than blocking killers you don't like, why don't we address them instead? Sometimes it is an balance issue and instead should be a suggestion/discussion, but other times it's simply how you play against them. If you don't mind, what killers are you having frustration with and why?

Well the game is about to get nuked. Only survivors that will play will be expert teams. Instead of just balancing the game by skill level they have just decided you kill it altogether for a lot of people.

  • @Technature said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3371840#Comment_3371840

I'd agree if we also get a button to unselect "dead hard" as a selectable perk from survivors.

Dead hard isn't even that hard to counter once you've seen it once but it seems that BHVR is listening and all but nuking DH. You're now going to face one kind of survivor and that will be the best of the best. Everybody that just plays for fun and isn't the greatest at the game are gonna be gone with the DH and med kit nerfs.

  • @TeabaggingGhostface said:

If i get to press a button to delete all of the perks i don't like, you can have your anti killer button

What's the big deal if I just don't care to play a killer and others do. The only issue would be if nobody plays that killer and the would be because they're OP. And if you're mad about then you must be a OP killer main...

Plenty of perks have times when they are useless. Exhaustion perks, for example. 99% of the time WoO is useful for you. So, no it's not "erasing' the perk for you.

Yeah useless for the survivors but hardly ever for the Killer. But at least I know when not to rely on exhaustion perks because I have a meter. I don't know if WoO is leading me into danger or not. Which is why I take it.

  • @Emeal said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3337892#Comment_3337892

     Shouldn't go down...

There is the problem, you dont think you should be going down. You get to see pallets, you dont get to see what pallets are fake.

Kinda weird you would devalue one of the best perks in the game, because once in a bluemoon you run into a Killer that makes fake pallets. I dont see this as a problem at all. No reason to ever support a change to a perk that counters Killers. Not at all.

That's kind of the point and advantage of bringing in a perk though. Unless by use of another perk, when does a killer's perk become invaluable? The answer is never so the killer will have 4 working perks and a power unless a survivor burns a perk spot in hopes of negating a perk.

  • @KMainEZ said:

So WoO should nerf an already niche killer that decided to bring a niche add-on like Freddy's pallets?

I just played him on Gideon of all places with DPs and 3 of the survs were running WoO. Fake pallets scored me a whole 2 hooks. The other 8 i got without them, they really aren't powerful enough to need a perk counter imo

Yeah 2 hooks that the "perk" should have kept the survivor from going down. And seems you

    @Distortion_Enjoyer said:

that seems too much, windows is fine and does a very good job at its purpose, the fake pallets are the killers power

OK but what "power" does any survivor had that would negate any killer perks? Answer is none. We would have to burn a perk spot to negate a killer perk and that's a shot in the dark if you don't know who it is or what they're bringing

  • @Blinckx said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/363659/windows-of-opportunity

    Sure why not ?

Also Circle of healing should heal plague's infection, nemesis and wesker infection too

And what about Dead Hard ? It should prevent hooking as well !

You're not automatically going down in any other of those scenarios. You are is using WoO and a fake pallet

  • @Emeal said:

No, the perk is already strong enough. You dont need more value from a single perk slot.

That erases most of the value from that perk slot. Game balance is killer heavy already and you still have to know how to loop for windows to really be useful. Shouldn't go down because the perk you brought shows you real and fake pallets. That should be a benefit for bring windows that other survivors won't have.

  • @Exxodus21 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3337884#Comment_3337884

The point of the Freddy's pallets and Doctor's illusions are so you don't know which pallets are are real. It doesn't make Windows useless. You have to play around those killer powers as you should.

It's essentially erasing the perk if your using it to know where not to go. Especially if you're hurt.

  • @Exxodus21 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3337881#Comment_3337881

The benefit of the perk is knowing where pallets and vaults are without having to guess. Removing as aspect of a killer's power is too much.

Yeah but taking windows is to help give me an idea of where I don't want to go also if there isn't as pallet there. It doesn't show for everyone, just me so that seems fair otherwise I have a perk that I can't rely on fully. Pretty pointless and would probably rather have a different perk.

  • @Xernoton said:

Nope, you definitely shouldn't. WoO is arguably on the verge of being too powerful already.

You still have to know how to loop but it negates that perk when in chase.

  • @Exxodus21 said:

    Nah. A perk shouldn't negate a major part of a killer's power.

That should be the benefit of bringing the perk because it negates the perk when in chase

  • @LordSturm said:

Med kits can last the whole game if you bring a beefy enough one and use it well, or, y'know, you can just bring Self Care or Circle of Healing, that lasts the whole game too. Your perks last the whole game just the same as the killer's, except your side has 16 and the killer has 4. Do you really think every killer perk should shut off after the first gen just because your medkit ran out?

Yes, killers have short cooldowns on special attacks, because M1 killers are not good.

If you're having trouble with scratchmarks, bring Lightweight or Fixated or even Lucky Break which will completely remove your scratch marks while injured.

The Knight was bad. He probably still is bad. They buffed his ability to make long patrol paths, none of the buffs do anything unless he's making a patrol path of 10+ meters. If he's doing that, the speed buff isn't a boon he's getting, it just makes up for the lost time he spent setting up a patrol instead of just dropping the guard on a loop and calling it a day.

    Skill issue.

They're will be zero looping without taking a hit once people get good with the Knight. Unless you get lucky. Send the guard and then catch up with the Knights boost of speed and meet the survivor head on.

  • @Defend said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/362667/killer-perks-need-to-be-nerfed

I don't get it, what perks are we suggesting to be nerfed? Or is this a complaint on specific killers like The Knight? Not to mention the comparison between items and perks are like oil and water, saying that killers have perks for the whole game... like survivors also don't have perks?

If it's Killer perks specifcally, usually the one to blame are gen-kicking perks since that's the meta now. However it's already been stated that one of the more problematic (Eruption) is going to be changed later on in the future. If getting 3 gen is a problem, try running Deja Vu since that perk is fairly reliable on avoiding that situation.

If it's about The Knight, The buffs specifically incentivized a better play-style than what is usually played (A mix of anti-loop and some people love camping with him even though it's just a standard m1 killer camp). But there are still some fairly big core issues with him right now which the buffs didn't really help with. I would say having a second counter (besides banner) specifically to his anti-loop would be nice but continue to support buffs for long-range patrols.

Add ons is what I meant but some perks as well. But yes, once people learn when to use the knight a survivor is 100% going to take a hit and if hurt they are going down. Send the guard one way and meet the survivor the other because of the now speed boost that the Knight has.
