  • Lol I guess you get tunneled a lot. I'd recommend playing with people who don't perform unsafe unhooks. If I'm oni and your getting unhooked in my face, that's a free double down right there with my power and I take that opportunity every single time. Occasionally it will even get me my 2 hits in fast succession and ignore your borrowed time.

  • @CalamityJane I've tried justifying the mistreatment by behavior with bungie as an example and people don't care. I don't know how they can't see that the way were treated is unacceptable. I used a bug patch as an example. Destiny 2 had a game breaking bug that caused year's worth of player data to be deleted instantly. They not only fixed it in 2 days they also gave a detailed explanation on where exactly it went wrong and how what measures they had implemented to prevent it from occuring again. Then we have behavior with "pop was changed because killers had too much time to do other things". Like really? I love dead by daylight and will continuing playing it in hopes it gets better but, the community managers do a poor job of actually addressing issues. I'd give them a platinum star in providing us with non legitimate answers to legitimate concerns.

  • I keep seeing the phrase amongst multiple people that most DC's don't occur unless the killer is already ahead. Most of my DC's happen in the end game when the survivors have either already opened the gates and I downed one successfully, or they'll dc because they're the first hook. There's no logical way to predict why and when people will dc ( unless you're intentionally being a dick ) so it's kind of a mute point by itself.

  • Im pretty sure they're only decreasing his cool down for punishment on missed attacks. Not ones where you connect the hit.

  • Yeah. I teabag all the time because that's just how we did it in halo 2.

  • I played a few matches as Oni with undying, ruin, tinkerer, and discordance. It's a fun build to run and any build these days that works that doesn't involve me using pop and infectious fright is a relief for me. If the build works out right in trial it's great but if you lose undying and ruin ( pretty common occurrence ) then you're just left with 2 somewhat decent perks that really won't win you a game themselves.

  • Guess none of you "gens aren't cars" people have started a generator in your lives. Those old school generators sound like car engines hands down. Modern ones don't really sound that way but dead by daylights generators aren't based off modern generators which is pretty obvious by design.

  • Personally I love them and think they're fine with how loud they are. Have you ever started a generator in real life? It's way louder than in dead by daylight.

  • The people who are complaining and saying they're intentionally going to play ash are the same people who come on here and whine about killers using moris in their games. Just ignore them and kill them, move on to the next game.

  • Im curious, does hex: undying have synergy with haunted grounds? Like will it keep replacing haunted grounds and effectively give you 4 exposed states or no?

  • @GG_Meizi I hear you. It really only seems like they ban people off the forums if they attempt to unionize against them or from in game if they are blatantly cheating. Beyond that it's a situation where they expect us to turn the other cheek and just play the game some more. It's almost as if telling us to play the game and enjoy it will fix all of its problems itself.

  • I had a guy call me a "#########" on xbox and I reported him toicrosoft support for offensive hate speech and they banned his comms for 2 weeks. Guess the guy doesn't know when to quit since he got 2 weeks out the gate.

  • Run noed, hex: undying, blood warden, and play with your food. Get the speed boost, noed activates and additional boost, hook the survivor and trap the rest, let them break it 5 times before you down them all. Noed really is a viable perk If you really are living on edge and get excitement out of end game builds. That doesn't make you a bad killer. Having fun with a game you paid for shouldn't really be that big of a deal like it is.

  • @bjorksnas like I said, I'm not contributing to this back and forth. It's really not hard to understand that a downed survivor is still injured but, to each their own. Im done arguing about it.

  • @bjorksnas to get downed to have to get injured so you are still injured. That's not really up for debate and I'm not going to continue contributing to this back and forth.

  • @bjorksnas no offense man but, being downed implies you're injured. They go hand in hand. I thoroughly thought through what I said.

  • The perk says any injured survivor won't make grunts. That implies that it is bugged and not working properly even when downed. Unless I am misunderstanding the text Im reading.

  • They need to revert it back to the 5 second stun and any killer main knows that as well. The only fix that needed to happen with decisive strike was after a safe hook, when you start a new objective it deactivates as it was intended to be an anti tunneling perk. If you had time to start an objective or get healed then you weren't getting tunneled. I play killer mostly and honestly Ive enjoyed the stun being shortened but I feel like it's definitely taking the perk and ruining what its purpose is and, that is to get distance between you and a tunneling situation and give you a second chance.

  • @GodDamn_Angela I would sooner believe I could hear somebody else's heart before my own though. Honestly, the game isn't meant to be super realistic though and I know that. It'd be cool if they implemented a fear mechanic like Friday the 13th where instead of a heartbeat you scream if your terror gets too high near the killer.

  • @GodDamn_Angela that's weird. I've played for years and not known that somehow. It's also weird cause scientifically our bodies do a remarkable job at letting our brain shut out the sounds of our insides so hearing your own heartbeat is a remarkable feat without any tools to do so or without trying.

  • @UseTheValve we all know how audio issues go over at behavior.

  • @UseTheValve I'd vote a year if we're betting.

  • If I have any of them blocked I skip them. If there is more than 2 blendettes I skip them however, if it's all 4 blendettes I stay and bring a Mori.

  • @azame you're cute buddy. I've played dead by daylight on console and pc. I own it on pc, ps4, and xbox one. The only liar in here is you. And don't bring streamers into the discussion cause we're discussing regular play. People who play the game for 8-16 hours a day ( I've seen straight 24 hour streams ) literally go through blood points like they're a drug they're addicted to. The amount of moris they get is automatically greater than anything you or me are going to see based off the amount of bloodwebs they are going through. I stand by statement that youre a liar man. I run into about 1 mori a week and that is a fact. If people were coming across 5 moris a day regularly you damn well know they'd be nerfed already.

  • @azame I also only get a mori 1/5 bloodwebs so claiming they're super common is also a bold faced lie to suit your non existent point.

  • @azame okay I'll call you a liar then. I play only on Xbox since 2016 and you're a bold faced liar. I'm rank 1 survivor and killer and I come across a mori once every week or so. You don't need to bullshit to make people pity you on a forum. You don't come across that many moris and you know it too.

  • @Babyyy_Boyy my issue with you're post is that you heavily contradict yourself by saying "I'm not talking about baby killers. I'm talking about high red rank killers who use ebony moris.". You negate you're ENTIRE arguement by mentioning the killer is in red ranks. Let's get it right that the whole rank debacle is directly indicative of survivors as killers have to work HARD to get to top red ranks and maintain it. I'm rank 1 oni this season and I've had to play really well every single game just to continue pipping and I hardly get all 4 kills in all my games. I'll tell you what though. I bring ebony moris 100% because baby survivors like you like to cry about them on the forums and if I want to make your life miserable with an in game mechanic then I will do so and enjoy every second of it.

  • A had a killer perk idea that could be a counter to dead hard. Never gave it a name but, once every 180 seconds the killer can press A and it will give them an extra lunge attack after a missed basic attack. This would cause a 2 second cooldown similar to the nurses blink. My idea was that if they miss a lunge attack then it won't activate for them after the missed lunge as to not give the perk too much distance by itself.

  • If they ban you for saying who is griefing people intentionally then maybe that should go to show how skewed their sense of responsibility towards their fanbase is. They do nothing to prevent ######### like this, then ban you for defending eachother.

  • I've watched him since he started streaming. I started this game as a survivor main and actually didn't touch killer ( except a handful of failed attempts ) for the entire first year I played. His killer videos got me into playing killer and I'd say I play both sides equally even though I've gone through phases of being a main for both sides. The majority of his viewers are killer mains but there's definitely some of us who are not.

  • "sprint burst takes so much more skill to use properly." HAHAHAHAHAH NO IT DOESNT AT ALL. Literally walk around and save it til you see a killer start walking towards you or sit on a gen til last second and just run away like you weren't there. Super pathetic perk to use as survivor. If you need a 200 yard lead then I don't know what to tell you.

  • Every single pc killer I've gone against I've survived. They aren't sweaty tryhards they are just playing the game as it is meant to be played on their system. I've had one pc player escape my trials and they sent me a "gg. Finally a good console killer." If you can't adjust and adapt to the new players then I feel like the problem starts and ends at YOU not them.

  • Always calling for the newest patch to be disabled is not how a game gets fixed. It's time to adapt and move forward and not live in the past of this game. The frame rates suck right now and they will eventually get better with fixes but completely giving up after literally one day isn't how positive change happens.

  • They don't need to lock out pc what they need to do is implement a hard cap on turn speed for pc players the same as console and deal with whatever backlash that causes. After that they need to fix the frame rate drop for killers who are playing on console and have cross play enabled ( thats the underlying reason all console killers have seemed awful to pc survivors ) and then they need to take all community feedback from all platforms playing together and implement patches that address issues all across the board and not one system at a time. Cross play is great for game health.

  • I've said it in previous posts and I think it'd be the healthiest change to the game they could possibly make. Remove the hooks from the game entirely. The hook phase is A. Unbelievable and takes away from all immersion in a horror game. B. It allows too many killers the luxury of face camping or proxy camping a hook for easy hits/kills/grabs. They should replace it with a counter that allows you to be hit and healed a specific amount of times before you die. Make it so unbreakable gives you one last pick up and make it so decisive strike only activates If you've healed another downed survivor from the bleeding state while injured. I think removing hooks will add intensity to the killer role without actually buffing a killers base kit and will also force survivors into a more team based style of play. The hooks and generators are the absolute most broken 2 mechanics of the game ( over ANY perk ) and they should both be replaced completely with new and fresh objectives and more than one main objective on each end.

  • 4k comments and you still haven't realized that PS4 is the least cared about part of their community? I mean damn, if you're not playing on PC your opinion is pretty much worthless to the developers. They don't make this game around multiple platforms. They have created a PC indie game and then tried to reoptomize the controls for consoles and it's an absolute mess. I play on Xbox and we're barely cared about more than PS4 so don't hold your breath for a console fix unless it's affecting PC players more.

  • And on top of that, dealing with your basement camp isn't hard for good players regardless of your perks. Simple, get one person to step into the basement and then sprint out with somebody either in a locker upstairs or outside the shack waiting for you to come out looking. A. Your perk is on cooldown. B. You're definitely going to go and look for those scratch marks Everytime. C. Easy basement save Everytime.

  • Here's a tip. Stop playing leatherface and your life will improve 10 fold and you won't have to 3 gen, tunnel, or camp. Don't play one of the easiest killers to go against and then complain about how he gets stomped unless you play like a dick. Camping basement as leatherface is a ######### tactic that only killers with no skill use to make up for lack of skill to chase anybody.

  • Because I want to and i have a lot of ebony moris. I've used moris for an entire day before and I feel nothing about it.

  • I hate the statement "balance around swf". No. Remove it completely. It wasn't here when the game first released, was way more engaging and fun back then too. People who say it's not a healthy change say that because they can't imagine having to play solo que like the game was intended. I'd say about 30 - 35% of the community actually plays swf while the majority plays solo and I also promise you the game would not die from removing swf. It would just get rid of all the whinny losers that can't play worth a damn anyway. You know how you screw over a red rank swf death squad? Proximity camp a hook as Oni or pyramid head, or have one person hooked and one person slugged. They will always make the mistake of going for their friends because that is just their mentality. Play to win stop playing to please other people's standards of what killer should be.

  • @SpaceCoconut I've seen countless server shutdowns for maintenance since I've played. It's a pretty common gaming practice. However, read in to what it takes to completely switch over an entire matchmaking system. It's definitely not a one day affair and it definitely isn't something that "runs In the back end" while the other multiplayer is still active. That makes absolutely zero sense and it's just bs they are spoon feeding us because they don't know how to fix their multiplayer that has been broken for over 2 years.

  • @Timmylaw I read every single patch note thoroughly. Do you really believe they could update their entire matchmaking system and mechanics on a backend update that nobody even notices? There would have been a long period where dead by daylight was offline for server maitenence and that hasn't happened either nor an update. I don't believe their blanket statements and you'd do best to try and not get your hopes up from behavior. You'll be disappointed way less

  • Almo never said that. Almo specifically said it would take about 10 games to work itself out and place you properly. Y'all just need to accept the fact there is no mmr system and the curtain is being pulled over your eyes. If there was an mmr there would have been a comprehensive update to implement it considering how massive of a change that is. No update, no mmr. Pretty simple.

  • @Kees_T I'd say comparing a game with a functioning mmr system to a game with a non functioning one is completely fair regardless of the genre of game. An mmr system is an mmr system and there are only a handful of variations that all work relatively the same. The developers of dead by daylight said it would take 10 games to place you properly into a tier which is exactly the same as halo 5. The only difference is that halo 5 actually places you into a tier while dead by daylight has absolutely nothing happen after over 100 games since the update. Just cause you want to defend them blindly doesn't mean I have to and I never will defend a developer who can't even communicate with their community on the issue at hand in the first place.

  • They can't even fix the audio files. Every single update breaks the game in a monumental way. Y'all really believe they have the ability within their studio to implement an entire new matchmaking system over top of their already existing spaghetti code? There is no mmr. If there is, I'd bet money it will never work properly no matter how many updates they put into it. Their track record makes that painfully obvious if you just open your eyes.

  • The entire "after a month or 2 you'll be placed properly" is not true. Halo 5: guardians, using an mmr system for it's entire ranked playlist. It takes 10 games to get placed properly into a tier grouping. There is no mmr I dead by daylight. I've played over a hundred games since the "update" on xbox and NOTHING is different. There wasn't even an update to activate the system into the game. You know why? Cause it more than likely doesn't actually exist.

  • Personally i don't feel entitled to a 4k. I feel like I want to pip every game cause I'm competitive but that doesn't happen all the time and that's okay. People need to stop caring so much over something that is supposed to be fun and enjoyable In the first place.

  • @SloppyKnockout oh I know and I don't care anymore. If they ban me from a forum I won't be upset about it. If it upsets them to hear how terrible they are at community service to the point where they feel the need to ban somebody, they should check their ego. The auras are awful, no testing or effort was put into them and i wish for once they'd just admit it cause I'd respect that a whole lot more than "we didn't intend for this".

  • That comment also rubs me the wrong way. "We never intended". Why didnt you test them thoroughly before implementing them into your game? Was it just a last minute "oh you know what would be cool" and then y'all coded it without ever loading into a lobby? Just revert your changes until you can have a version that is actually tested and proven to be a viable new system.

  • Lol another survivor who is just bad at the game. You clearly have been put into a lot of situations that involve slugging. You really want to be able to pick another survivor up by simply pressing a button and having to do absolutely nothing to earn that heal? If you're slugged and you didn't bring an anti slugging perk in this day in age of dead by daylight that is your fault 100% and nobody elses. I slug survivors in my games. As long as an obsession is in play every single survivor will be slugged on their second and 3rd downs. If they get picked back up so what I'll down them again and still don't have to get ds in my face.
