I don't think the winstreak should be indicative of which killer is better. However, I do think Nurse's nerf made Blight and Nurse noticeably closer in strength, although I still think base Nurse is better than base Blight. With addons... I don't know. I play neither with addons.

Keys are fine. Addons are still the same aka very strong.
outside of blood amber addon? absolutely not lmao.

I don't think it's all a blight issue. Honestly, I don't think basekit blight is that bad. Sure, a good player as blight sucks to face but most of the time it sucks is because those people normally also run his busted addons. I'd love to see how blight performs after his addons get nerfed imo. He'll still be a great killer just less obnoxious to face.

Powers that allow you to instadown / quckly damage two health states should be nerfed when near a hooked Survivor (~16 meters within so it covers basement as well). Also grabbing healthy Survivors should go as well. It just promotes stand offs. There is nothing more helpless and boring and easy then picking a bubba for example, standing next to someone and prevent anyone having a solid chance to save the hooked Survivor. Againts Solo Q survivors it is even more powerfull and offten leads to at least 2 killls just by sitting next to someone.
It's even worse than tunneling because at the very least, when you are being tunneling, you can play the game and you are in chase (better than sitting or watching hopeless situation). Maybe powers could be disabled next to hooked Survivors after a few seconds of killer not leaving or something.
how do you suppose to do this because with billy i tend to hit the unhooker with a long chainsaw sprint, like am i just not allowed to go near a hooked survivor or is it a certain amount of time or what

Survivors*
You mean to say survivors scream about everything. It's true.
I've literally seen posts about needing nerfs to aura perks. If that isn't the definition of entitlement, I don't know what is...
2 more days and survivors will have claimed lethal pursuer 🙁

They literally cry about anything that is half way decent.
I have already seeing posts calling for nerfing SB, Lithe and yes BNP.
both sides complain pretty much the same amount. hug it out, you two.

Self-healing times with medkits were insane before this update, and it basically removed any pressure a killer could cause because an injured survivor could heal themselves repeatedly. This meant other survivors could work on generators with no time loss.
Now survivors have to rely on their teammates more for heals, which means more survivors getting off generators to heal and the killers not requiring gen slowdown perks just to keep the pressure up. In return, the most annoying gen slowdown perks were nerfed.
Additionally, medkits heal other survivors significantly faster by default and start with more charges by default. All of this is to encourage altruistic healing, and not negating the killer's pressure just by self healing in a corner with no time loss on generators.
Realistically anyway, it doesn't make sense for balance purposes that healing yourself is faster than another survivor healing you. Therefore, these changes to healing made the game far more balanced.
I agree until the "heal others significantly faster" part, the highest they go is 50% (purple) which I wouldn't call significant. 50% was good when it was on green medkit for self healing, yes, but this is using medkit on other people, which means you're throwing away your own self heal (for a medkit without charge addons) just to heal someone else 50% faster. I wouldn't say that's incredibly amazing. If we're considering speedboost addons (10% + 5%) and healing perks, I can sorta get what you mean, but basekit medkits healing other people super isn't worth unless it's ressing people off the ground or healing the guy getting tunneled. If you're playing like a medic build maybe I can see the niche in a 50% heal.

It wouldn't solve it but it would hinder it. Most campers can't chase or get caught up in chasing one player. They just don't move on. This is good especially with the new forever healing. It might just deter them outside their comfort zones. This wouldn't give them kill points either.
shrug. like i said, it depends on radius it happens in. it should disable in end game too because in end game camping the hook shouldn't be punished cause what else will you do. sure you can chase in end game but most players aren't confident in doing that and i don't blame them. i was like that too.
-
idk i think killing your friends is kinda a crime in most states
-
not sure if it solves it but it'd sure communicate to the team better what's happening so they do gens. however it might confuse new players even more and killers might be able to bypass it depending on the radius of the "chase" icon appearing at

What I find offensive is when there are one or more DCs and the killer still sweats to kill the last survivor and doesn’t give them hatch. I know they aren’t obligated to do it, but they are still being kind of a d-bag
i kill the last surv sometimes in this scenario if i just want the game to be over and hatch isn't nearby. on some maps like lery's rpd and swamp i cba to look unfortunately. i don't think i'm being a d bag by doing this but maybe it's subject to opinion.

You still haven’t even acknowledged the fact that I told you you are free to disagree with me and give your own advice. All you got was completely disregarding the OP and trying to make a point how I was scummy for suggesting to use a perk that did exactly what OP is missing.
And i gave a better option for what OP is missing but you still have no idea how to process that. lmk when you figure it out because that'd make discussion go a whole lot smoother

We're talking about kids here, mate. Kids dying because self care healing sounds revealed them because they were making noises for too long will just frustrate them to no end. That's why I'm suggesting a faster heal, as to lower the possibility of getting caught out from self caring sounds. It's just a smarter suggestion when dealing with young children.
Edit came after I answered. So second one.
see? A little bit of thinking and already more polite. Sure, you could have just added that or given that advice instead of attacking me. (Or added that Bite the Bullet could further help with self-care).
although… „younger children“? The talk was about young people and kids, don’t jump to possibly false conclusions 😉
kids = younger children... now you're just being pedantic and going after communication differences. is that really all you have? my phrasing of things isn't the same way you phrase things... doesn't mean i'm incorrect or hypocritical.

It’s not bad advice. That is just your subjective take on it. And yeah the way you act you are on a high horse.
medkits have limited use. What are these kids supposed to do after their one or with addons possibly two heals? Now they can just suffer through their nervousness again?
You are still acting like these casual players want or need to play super effectively. They don’t. They can play this game the way they want. Otherwise you could just tell them to not heal at all and git gud at looping and instead of healing focusing on gens.
stop acting like you have everything figured out and only you know what’s good and what’s bad. And learn to be more polite and take your own advice - think before you speak.
Why should I be polite to someone giving bad advice to casual players? Casual players deserve good advice, and you're not doing something worth me being nice about. What you're doing is scummy.
Medkits have limited charges, but who gives a #########, really? The amount of heals you get out of how long SC takes will pretty much be how many heals you get out of that medkit anyways because SC takes so long... the match won't last long enough for the unlimited heals of SC to matter regardless since they're casual players... like i've said... nothing you're saying adds up. You don't know what you're talking about. Stop suggesting SC.

Ok? Does that mean they think the game is for kids or does that mean they are suggesting a feature be reverted for kids who struggle while playing? These are two different things. Rather than jumping to incorrect conclusions, tackle what they actually said.
in both cases I tell them that the game is not meant for kids. And if these kids actually already struggle with nervousness maybe the game is too much for them. I didn’t tell them directly to stop or told them they are in the wrong, so I don’t see where this supposed „jump“ to an „incorrect conclusion“ and why you think you must be in the right here?
if you're going to give advice don't give bad advice, you can already tell this user is dealing with players who are very inexperienced in the game, telling them to use bad perks that make you take forever to heal yourself is supremely detrimental and it'd genuinely be better if you hadn't posted at all
I give the advice I want to give. And Self-Care seems to be exactly what OP seeks for. As I already said, you do not have to agree. You can give your own advice. You can say you don’t agree with my advice. But DO NOT tell me what kind of advice I am allowed to give. Not everyone strives to use only the best and most effective meta-perks and strives to play on a perfect competitive level. Self-Care can be useful especially in a casual swf where everyone can coordinate around it.
please get off your high horse.
"high horse". sorry that i give a ######### about not giving casual players bad advice. apparently that means i'm on a "high horse". sorry that you think giving casual players bad advice is something i should just accept, but I won't, because casual players shouldn't be listening to you, as your advice is bad. medkits>>>selfcare and don't require a perk to do it. sure, you get theoretically less heals but taking more time on heals gives you more time to be found as you're stuck in one place for longer spending time to heal yourself. it's a bad idea for their hiding playstyle to use a very long heal as if they're making loud healing noises for a longer amount of time, they'll get found easier. your advice doesn't make any sense in any way and it's just bad advice. don't give casual players bad advice. they need good advice so they learn smarter things to do. think before you speak next time and stop dying on the hill of your bad advice.
We're talking about kids here, mate. Kids dying because self care healing sounds revealed them because they were making noises for too long will just frustrate them to no end. To kids to lessen there nervousness from these game and enjoy walking while hiding
yes, I recommend self care. No need to cry for ‚Jesus Christ‘, you don’t have to agree. But it is a valid perk in this game and has its uses. Also they said they are playing together. Also also, medkits are limited use which isn’t what they seem to look for at all.

I haven't played him yet this patch but he looks a lot less reliant on muffler (thank god) so I can use the chainsaw noise addon instead with engraving. His chainsaw noise is so loud and it hurts to play him after a while so I had to choose between muffler for more consistent chainsaw gameplay or the noise reduction addon. Thankfully I probably don't have to choose anymore. I wish they'd just remove overheat overall but I'll take what I can get (hopefully what I can get isn't a headache from Billy's chainsaw)

Alright, if you think it's not good enough and will only unfairly impede casual survivors, then that's a fair criticism. I'm not opposed to nerfing toolboxes either, though I think just reworking BNP is a strong enough first step. I just want to try to think of ways to break up the monotonous meta because DbD is overdue for something to change up the gameplay loop, even if only slightly.
no clue how to make dbd survivor or killer gameplay less boring except a new gamemode, if i were to patrol another objective as killer it just gives me more places to look which is a teeny bit more stressful, and for survivor and extra objective will make matches feel and go on for longer amounts of time which isn't the most fun either. i don't know, i actually kinda wish they listen to that one recent scott jund video and like add a separate queue for modded stuff as letting the community do stuff to this game for people to do sounds like it's our only hope to help against this monotonous game

I didn't say it will kill genrushing. Those are words that you put in my mouth. My idea is for mitigating it somewhat. It's not a perfect fix-all solution because one doesn't exist and I never claimed it was.
You're putting words in my mouth, too. I said "kill the majority of genrushing". Don't pull that when you misconstrued my words, too. Never claimed you had a fix-all solution, I'm stating your solution will only attack weaker genrushers and those people you shouldn't be threatened by. It just isn't a good idea. Nerfing toolboxes and BNP and gen speed perks rather than making this side objective exist would be a healthier and more logical solution.

in fact it'll make these people bring more BNPs and toolboxes (as you said BNPs give instant gate repairs and toolboxes can also be used on gates)
Which would then be consumed on the gates instead of a generator. That's the point, to make a secondary objective to consume these resources so that they don't all get piled onto generators. A toolbox used on a gate is a toolbox not used on a generator.
ok? people don't need toolboxes to efficiently genrush. you're super naive if you think toolboxes on some random secondary objective will kill the majority of genrushing. it'd only hurt the ######### players and the ######### players aren't a threat to you anyways.
-
@Caiman said:
Many people have said that DbD needs a new objective other than generators in order to make the pace of the game more manageable in the face of coordinated survivors who hammer out gen repairs as fast as possible. My suggestion for this: require the exit gates to be repaired before they can be powered and opened. This could be repairing a fusebox, a gearbox, a junction, whatever.
However, because there are only two gates, this should not be nearly as demanding as the generators, in order to prevent the killer from camping the gates. Here's a list of stipulations for this:
- Gate repair takes much less time, somewhere in 30 to 45 seconds compared to a generator's 90 seconds.
- Gate repairs cannot be damaged and regressed by the killer.
- The killer cannot see a gate's repair progress and are not notified when they are fully repaired.
- Toolboxes can be used on the gates. Optionally, Brand New Parts can instantly repair a gate.
- Generator repair perks do not apply to gate repairs.
- The gates can be repaired at any time in the trial.
Do you think this would improve the state of the game? Would this slow down genrushing as a tactic? Would this do unnecessary harm to the casual players' experience?
I feel genrushing is a distant minority of players. Offering a second objective will mostly only ######### with casual players (or the majority) who didn't need the extra nerf, and swfs/genrushers will probably hardly notice this, in fact it'll make these people bring more BNPs and toolboxes (as you said BNPs give instant gate repairs and toolboxes can also be used on gates) which I doubt any killer player wants if they care about genrushing. All it takes is one good toolbox to make your objective side hustle pretty much useless

Also "we don't know if sloppy will be used more often"
You're saying the free basegame perk that applies healing slowdown in a medkit and coh nerf patch right after a gen regression nerf patch "maybe won't" be used? Its still not connected.
Sloppy does not apply exhaustion. Its surv build with escape perks procs exhaustion. Its not the killer fault that survivor uses perks that contradicts eachother. If one wants to use stealth perks, then go with stealth, and iron will is great for it. Same with other exhaustion perks, You should never use more than one. Maybe we should ask that balance landing can procs while exhausted but increase duration of exhaustion? Od course not.
But either way
This change may be good or may be bad, i dont really know tho i think bad.
But the reasoning is really bad.
Healing got nerf -> sloppy will be used more often -> iron will needs buff.
First, we dont know if sloppy will be used more often, since it was used to slow healing and now lot of killers would use other perks... Would... We dont know.
Second - sloppy do not apply exhaustion, it has nothing to iron will. Just because some people use iron will and are afraid of being damaged for more time, does not mean its require in builds nor its connected to sloppy.
I would say other way - if healing is nerfed, iron will will have more use since it will silence survivor for more time, so maybe it should be nerfed? No it should not, because its not connected

That I get, the part that makes no sense is how that constitutes removing the part where it doesn't work if your exhausted especially considering Sloppy don't cause exhaustion
I never said it did, but it causes injure which procs Iron Will. Which means, it will be proced for longer. What I feel is it should have one of its nerf changed so it's a decent perk again and more worth using if I'm going to be playing injured more often. I feel it was overnerfed and I think this patch is probably the best time to fix it as this is one of the best patches for it to be good in.

"sloppy rates are going up" -> iw will see more uptime and therefore higher Pickrate (aka might become meta again)-> please buff by removing exhaustion restriction (even when the perk is fine the way it is)
I don't see were i misunderstood anything.
I just think that there is no logical correlation or necessity to buff an already working and fine perk just because it might see more usage.
The higher uptime due to sloppy alone is enough incentive to increase the pick rate and value you get out of the perk and doesn't need a further buff.
It would be the same when killer player would say "gen regression perk X is getting nerfed so we will have to use perk Y instead, please additionally buff it even when it was fine/balanced already".
iw will not become meta again... it just isn't that good in its current state... which is why people are asking for nerfs to be reverted. i have no clue what you're on about. we're talking about sloppy being good, not iw. iw is very mediocre in "current meta".
you most definitely are misunderstanding because i never implied iw was going to be meta, nor did anyone else here imply that. i have no clue where you got that from. sloppy will be meta, most certainly, if not, it will be like top 10.

Because the argument "a perk that already works might become meta, so please buff it further" is nonsensical.
And if such an argument WOULD fly, then i hope everyone is prepared for a whole other can of whining threads asking for many other perks to get buffed just because they might see more use after a meta shift or another perk in the same category getting nerfed.
"Because the argument "a perk that already works might become meta, so please buff it further" is nonsensical."
That is... not what we're saying at all? "We're saying hey, sloppy rates are going up, can we unnerf iron will?" You seem to kinda have missed the point and chalked the point up to being nonsensical when you don't even understand the point enough to repeat it back to us.
You're free to disagree with a buff to iron will but at least understand what we're talking about before calling people nonsensical.
