  • Saying second chance perks are a dumb idea is the same thing as saying exposed status effect perks are a dumb idea. Those are literally a chance to down survivors with one shot. I play both Killer and Survivor and I see no problem with people benefiting from their build. Let's just sit here and start another thread crying about NOED while we are at it.

Crawling speed is 0.7 meters a second. Ds is 60 seconds long. If you do the math that means a survivor can be downed within 42 meters of an exit gate and still escape.. And considering most survivors are making a mad dash to the gates, they will be downed within 42 meters of the gates. It happens more than you'd think.

Not a good enough reason. Again, you can apply this logic to any other perk in the game. There's lots of perks that turn the game around, grant you a kill, or an escape. That's the point! As a killer, you should have had enough pressure early on to eat a DS and probably not give a #########. No DS left. If it's a close game and gets turned by a perk, killer or survivor side, then again, that's the point! The most fun in this game is to be had ENDGAME. My absolute favorite thing if I am playing survivor is catching a Bloodwarden, trying to find NOED, and help get teammates out. This scenario is probably the most gratifying thing as a killer too! Lots of survivors also don't run DS.

What if they are close to the gates? There's no counter play there.

What if you have NOED, what if you have BT, what if you have a mori, what if you have Devour, what if what if. If a killer downs you with NOED cus you didn't do bones, then he deserves it. If a Survivor has an unhook/crawl build and is hooked NEXT to a gate and you get DS'd, then he deserves it. It's an isolated instance in any case, with any of those perks, and saying that it should be deactivated EndGame is as ridiculous as saying no hooking endgame. Let's also deactivate all other perks we don't like Endgame.

People use it too offensively and can cheese you out of a kill with no counterplay. I'm fine with DS as is, but in my opinion it should be deactivated during endgame.

Nope. Your counterplay is to slug them, use as bait to pressure the survivor team for the res, snowballing more downs. If you can't snowball more downs, then you'll get your hook.

  • My favorite thing to do is slug everyone and leave them on the ground to bleed out for 4 minutes. ๐Ÿ’€

  • I main survivor and I think BBQ is fine. It prolongs games because you have to hide in a locker during a hook (advantage for killer), but then it also gets rid of what is usually the primary tracking perk for killer. For many killer players, it is the key for them to finding survivors to win. It is strong against oblivious survivors, but it's also easy to counter if you go into a locker or run closer to the killer. Additionally, survivors can use BBQ to their advantage. I can't count the amount of times I've baited a killer with BBQ, gone the other way or made him chase me for an extended period - buying my team the time they needed to finish gens and/or heal up.

  • I agree that the game could use some graphical improvements. But as a hobbyist 3D artist, I can tell you that some of those clips you posted are based solely around the fidelity of the environment, and would not work well in terms of optimized gameplay. It's unlikely you'd be able to achieve solid frame rates. Also, those tech demos are running on solid PC builds, and fidelity like that would not work for console given the hardware restrictions. All of this I am assuming based on my experience and could totally be wrong. Would love to hear the environment team chime in on this.

But yes, maybe some improvements could be made. Definitely looking forward to the new lighting overhaul they previewed. This is probably the feature I'm looking forward to the most with this game.

  • That's how the game is designed. Certain Survivor perks counter certain Killers, and visa-versa. Urban for Hag or Pyramid, Spine for stealth Killers. I think it makes it fun and a luck of the draw type thing. Just like Plague counters Self-Care, or Oblivious/No Terror Radius counters BT.

  • ๐Ÿ˜ฉUPDATE: The ######### rainbow is back.

  • As I survivor main, I say should leave NOED alone, and just do totems. Also, I can't get annoyed with NOED when a killer actually has an ENDGAME BUILD with Blood Warden coupled.Totally valid. I actually find Endgame play the most fun when you are trying to get rescues and clean a totem and there is a lot of pressure. Also, nothing is more rewarding than cleaning all the totems and for a killer to be relying on a no-longer present NOED. Perk is fine as is.

Sounds like it could be annoying, using your quick and quiet on a chest, but I can sorta see the benefits

Only time you need to slam a chest really is if you want to close it to get away. If you by chance had that perk equipped and were in that specific situation, the chest would not make a noise and you could try and stealth off or get a head start. It doesn't make vault or locker slam notifications, so it makes sense to me.

They removed MMR because it wasn't working

The reason matchmaking is way better now is because there's a huge pool of players to pull from every rank.

Same reason why killer queues are instant and survivor queues are longer now; everyone on console plays survivor because killer with controller is awful.

My survivor cue is the fastest it's ever been. At this very moment is the best matchmaking has ever been for me in my history of playing DBD (I came in right after the Curtain Call DLC.)

    Rainbows for me.

Wow, really!? Why am I have this anomaly then? I was having rainbows before this latest update, same horrible experience everyone has reported. But for some reason I haven't had a single rainbow match since the update. So strange.

  • SPIRIT IS FINE! DON'T TOUCH HER!

Red Rank Survivor Main here who also likes to play Spirt as killer.

  • What kind of ass-backwards world where you can play a game that you kill and murder people but you can't hear a swear word?! LMAO. Bruh....

  • What we need is an ENTITY realm!!! Basically looks like hell - endgame collapse vibes. Entity, lava, fire and brimstone!!

You could make it so that positive effects last a bit longer if you got Vigil instead. So negative effects last shorter and positive ones last longer. Imagine if you had an extra 0.5 seconds of Sprint Burst. Or that Dead Hard i-frames last just a tiny bit longer. It'd be strong.

I like the concept of a perk that gives additive benefits to another perk. So it essentially takes 2 slots for the desired, stronger effect. I guess there are already some typical good combinations in the game, ie. unbreakable w tenacitcy, etc

  • I experience toxic players on both sides....it has, in turn, also made me toxic. Your opponent (either survivor or killer) is literally trying to make your life miserable and win the game. Pretty straight forward. So now most of the time I approach each game like, "yup, ######### that dude." - can't lie. But you get cool survivors and killers from time to time that don't provoke toxicity - oh the faith in humanity. And let it be said, I even get toxic survivor team mates occasionally! Pretty much just try and get good and be self-reliant so you're not on the ######### end of the stick.

  • The Basement is awesome! From a gameplay standpoint, it makes for fun, tense, and exciting survivor plays while also providing interesting killer builds. From an atmospheric and lore standpoint, let's update that #########! Please put a bunch of dead bodies and gross stuff down there! Heads on spikes, hanging bodies, ripped off appendages, etc...

  • I love this game but ######### this match making right in the goat ass. I hope it gets better. ALSO, WHY ARE THE RATINGS NOT VISIBLE!?!?!? If there is a rating in the background being used for match making based on skill/performance, WHY IS THIS NOT DISPLAYED!?

  • Yup. Seems like a solid addition. Why not!?

I feel that the hand gestures are enough for solo queue communication. This just seems like BM.

Well with the audio cue, you could grab the attention of oblivious survivors who are not looking back, or make sound from behind a wall or bush. There are many instances where a small audio cue can catch the attention of a teammate. How many times has a flashlight caught your attention behind a wall when needed? It's much, much more versatile than pointing or beckoning (also, those both communicate different things than a whistle). Additionally, if you wanted to draw the attention of the killer, you could do that as well.

Also, you could BM anything. Notification spams, flash light clicks, teabags.... BMing is exclusive to the attitude, not the mechanic.

  • Iron will did not work for me last match. PS4.

  • +1

I have heard this playing Survivor side. Looked over and Bubba was just chasing someone shack....audio was all crazy.

  • Yup, this and the invisible skill checks ruin any game.
