I also received the 1,000 auric cells. If it helps the cause I am a PC user who has recently bought auric cells as well as linked my account with behavior and steam.

Oh crap, well that ship has long sailed. I seriously hope people do not get charged if they spend any cells received because of a bug.

Personally I prefer devour hope because at least survivors have a chance to fight back against an easy kill. In my mind mori's can be fun animation wise but they're pretty much a guaranteed loss for survivors unless it's either an amazing SWF or an inexperienced killer. In solo queue mori's are pretty much a guaranteed win, and especially considering there is no way to counter a mori like cleansing a totem or even DS (Unless you just so happen to have been unhooked less than 60s ago and were lucky enough to find a locker to jump in). Even then the killer can just stand at the locker and wait for the DS period to be over and just kill you. In my mind mori's and keys pretty much need to go point blank, neither require skill to use. As somebody who plays both sides fairly equally I never bring either because they really aren't fair to either side. Just play the game and if you escape, you escape and if you get a 4k you get a 4k. Nothing in this game should be given to you like an easy escape or a quick kill, you should have to earn it one way or another. Closing statement, I run small game so I triple dog dare a killer to run devour in 2020, I am the TOTEM DESTROYER.
-
I will say when you have a very tough SWF to face DS can be abused quite easily but in solo queue I find it a lot more excusable. I try to avoid it as killer without slugging and just going after the person who unhooked but I understand the frustration. I wish DS was more of a perk that was affected by terror radius so if someone was TRULY getting tunneled they had a way to stay in the match even if just a bit longer. It can be very abused in a match full of DS players though.

It's already getting a buff; it's going to increase healing on dying survivors by 100% and I can get behind that as a default perk to run; nothing broken, but at least it does something helpful now. I do think that stacks should be obtainable by healing full health states of other survivors, though.
I agree with this as well, if we're truly gonna live forever truly is a perk of it's name picking up slugged players should have the same benefit stacks wise as unhooking because you're essentially saving them from being hooked.

As a hag main when I choose to play killer I feel like without the ability to remove traps with flashlights it make her especially lethal. Personally I do not mind when people remove my traps with flashlights because it just means I played them far too noticeably. The skill with hag is placing traps at strong loops or away from gens before people even expect to start crouching. Good hag players aren't easily countered with flashlights. Although this is a bit different on maps like hawkins.

I will just say this. I will not complain about tunneling because I run DS. The reason I do this is because killers have all game the gain bloodpoints, survivors that happen to get hooked first and ultimately meet their demise sooner don't have this opportunity. As someone who is trying to simply play the game and level-up characters I would like at least a chance to get bloodpoints, because getting chased for a short period without being able to cleanse totems, work on gens, or heal other survivors the bloodpoints are abysmal. I understand the need to get a particular survivor out quickly, because honestly the biggest threat to a killer is simply the number of survivors left in the game. Power in numbers is very important in a game like this. If a killer decides to tunnel me, if I have smart teammates they'll just rush 3 gens at once and pretty much cost the killer the match. It's not smart to tunnel anyone has killer as somebody who plays killer 30% of the time. Wasting your time going after one survivor and putting on your blinders to every other survivor in the match is pretty much just piss-poor strategy for killers. When I started playing killer I found myself tunneling and losing quite a bit, and since changed the way I played killer. At the end of the day tunnelers will ultimately be punished especially with perks like DS, which I think is essential for survivors which just statistically have a harder time farming points compared to killers. Anyone may feel free to disagree, but just in my small 200+ hours of playing this is just what I've observed.

I think so. We've tried to decipher her speech before, but weren't able to. The tablet in her temple refers to "God", though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingir
Yes I remember you! That thread was incredible and had so much dedication. I recently have been doing my own research and have been desperately trying to bring more attention to it!

Akkadian, I believe - which is technically a collective term for Babylonian and Sumerian, if I remember right.
Edit: Nope, it's the collective term for Babylonian and Assyrian. Halfway there.
Akkadian has been fully deciphered from its cuneiform, right?

I personally enjoy a skilled hag player but I think the biggest issue I have when playing survivor is how quite a few of the lower level players camp the hook. That is what I take exception too, I shouldn't have to run in while you are face camping my team mate to pull them off the hook after you just trapped the entire area. I love when I'm walking through a map and run into a randomly placed trap, it makes me curse like a sailor and gives me a great adrenaline spike for the chase I now brought down on myself.
Hag is a beautiful character in her back story and ability, I love a good challenge and because I play with friends I don't mind working together to try and get gens done. I get killed more often then not but sometimes it's worth taking that hit if it means my friends can complete the last gen or find the hatch depending on the game.
I like balanced killers and good game play so being able to save my team mates is the most rewarding part of game for me. So if you are trapping and not tunneling and genuinely playing the game to win while allowing others to enjoy the game I say just ignore the hate.
.... but really her hit box is way to big, smh for getting hit through a palate after killer was stunned yesterday in a hag match... rip
This is why I love playing hag and against her. It is more of a testament of skill than anything else and really brings a use for things like Urban Evasion. I had a player the other day who managed to complete gens right under my nose by completing gens I had placed traps behind because of her skill with UE. I also believe that hag brings the true horror aspect to the game as you are always on your toes worried where she will be or even where she won't be and suddenly just appear. I honestly don't feel the need to run ruin or overly trap hooks, and if a survivor trips a trap near a hook I just go after the unhooker, as the the hooked shouldn't be punished for the faults of a over-confident person just running through my traps with no precaution. I will admit that basement hooks on hag are VERY punishing, and I think that the devs should do something similar to hag as they did with pyramid head's trail of torment goo when it comes to hooks. A good hag knows the loops to trap that are particularly nasty to killers that survivors often abuse, a bad hag just traps hooks and punishes the already punished.

Also random point, but how could you not root for Hag to win even as survivor, after the stuff she went through Lisa deserves a few W's.

There are people who will hate on almost every single killer. Nurse, Billy, Wraith, Trapper, Deathslinger, PH, Spirit, Oni, Hag, Legion, Doctor, Leatherface, Freddy, Ghost Face - I’ve seen people complain about all of these killers very recently, and that’s over half the roster.
I think the only killer who you won’t get hate from anyone for playing is Demo, and even then people will just complain about your perks/playstyle instead.
So don’t worry about it. While I am personally in favour of trying to play to let everyone have fun, that has its limit - there’s only so far you can compromise for the sake of strangers before you’re ruining your own enjoyment of the game. As long as you’re not actively trying to ruin anyone’s fun, I think that’s all anyone can reasonably expect of you.
Thank you so much. You're so right. As somebody who plays survivor a bunch I never seek to ruin anyone's fun, and I never want to have to target the same person unfairly in order to win a match. Especially as killer, I don't care about rank because bloodpoints and XP is far more valuable to me then 'winning' or 'losing'- which in this game is very subjective.

After reading these I realize that many survivors that run the classic, borrowed, unbreakable, DS, and DH always comment about 'toxic' killer perks. Let people play what they want, and definitely don't throw stones when you're in a glass house. Let people play what they want and chances are with the amount of people playing currently and the general variability of people who change up their perks, you won't go against them again at least not the same killer/perks.

Survivors will complain about literally any killer. Hag was the closest I had to a 'main' before Blight stole my heart.
Don't let salty players skew your choices. Though as a really good Hag player, I recommend to everyone that you shouldn't put traps next to hooks (most of the time). That's unfun for skilled survivors and unfair for unskilled survivors. Hag is still one of the best killers in the game even if you use all your traps on routes survivors run. I get a lot more positive feedback with that playstyke and still win 99% of my matches.
I will do that! I do usually trap areas around pallets and behind generators like rocks or something where people don't expect them. I try not to be cruel especially the more I play her and the better I get at using her.

Well, actually yeah if it was optional it would be nice and cool if the killer could hear. Toxicity would not be as high too. Although I worry for the younger audiences or mentally unstable people who still decide to use it.
That is my worry too. End-game chat can be brutal enough at times so I don't want to encourage a feature that could make people not want to play even more or hear hateful/offensive things on a game they find community on.

Some are. The hag challenges specifically are and absolute pain in the ass because I dont play her and I dont like her.
Try running her with Make your choice, Pop, surveillance, and Monitor with rusty shackles and dried cicada. I understand she's not for everyone but it is a very fun build on her. Plenty of phantasm teleport opportunities and such.

Sure, as long as:
- It instantly turns off whenever survivor attempts to do anything unrelated to chases aka touching a totem&starting healing&repairing&hiding in locker&selfhealing&opening exit gates&unhooking&etc
- It instantly turns off whenever another survivor is hooked
- It doesn't activate if the survivor is grabbed
- It doesn't activate upon self unhook
- It doesn't activate when EGC is active
- It instantly turns off if the survivor is the last one in the trial.
Then I wouldn't mind DS having 2 uses or unlimited duration, as it wouldn't have any aggressive potential to be abused.
This is god tier. I believe if a survivor is TRULY being tunneled, as in no other survivor has been hooked before them at 4 people left and the killer is just trying to get an easy kill by tunneling off hook it should allow for this. The main reason I agree is because the killer is there the entire match, able to accumulate blood points throughout. If a survivor is tunneled they get next to no bloodpoints as the chase isn't too long and they don't have time to cleanse totems, work on gens, or heal teammates. I play both sides and I honestly don't tunnel because I know how discouraging it can be to play match after match with minimal bloodpoints while a killer with BBQ just rakes in the blood dough.

Yep, is true Luck only affects Kobe chances and Trapper's trap release chances.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1681311#Comment_1681311
Luck overall should be changed, not buffed but changed so Killers can benefit/hurt by it too, I remember a post I made sometime ago about this subject I suggested Luck could affect any of this parameters: number of skillechecks, unhook chances, position of doors, speed of skillchecks (fast skillchecks are positioned on the right of the circle, slow ones on the left), stuff on chests, number of pallets, safety of tiles, position of gens and a bit more I cant recall.
Killers would have bad luck offerings which would change all those parameters to benefit them (faster skillcheck, more closely positioned doors, more skillchecks, less safe tiles etc) and Survivors would have good luck offerings which would benefit them, said offerings wouldnt be gamebreaking of course, for example a gen has 8% chance of triggering a skillcheck, with max luck it could be 5% or 6% with max unluck it could be 10% or 12%. Perks which depend on skillchecks like Autodidact or Overcharge wouldnt be affected by luck.
I actually really love this idea. The whole point of the game is that killers and survivors should be able to check and balance one another and incorporating luck into more aspects of the game would be a really interesting way to change the game.

Hex: Wicked Whims for shirtless david and felix. If you know you know.
-
As a survivor main I honestly support this idea completely. With perks like small game I believe killers should be able to select which dull totems they would like to place their hex's on. Let's say a survivor finds your totem and you have thrill of the hunt, go over there, deactivate the totem, and place it on a different dull totem. It would waste the killer's time but allow them to avoid completely wasting it. I believe that would be perfectly balanced as it dupes the survivors who cleanse it but also allows them more time to do gens and/or other actions. Feel free to disagree I do like hearing other opinions on this stuff. I believe some quality of life changes to DBD in general like this would keep people playing and maybe even bring back old players without events that are only short-term.
-
It's interesting to see so many people in the community agree that this offering is a bit useless without the help of other perks. I know a lot survivor and killer mains don't often agree but as somebody who plays about 70/30 respectively I feel like maybe a SLIGHT buff or rework could be fun. If it affected chests I feel like more people would use it, almost replacing the better chances of plunder's without having to waste a perk slot.

Salty Lips are pretty weak, but they do stack, like you said. If you're in a SWF and everyone runs Lips + Up the Ante + Slippery Meat, you have a 98% of pulling yourself off the hook while all other survivors are alive. That number goes up to 99.3% with the upcoming changes to Slippery Meat.
So, it's niche, but you can at least get some good use out of it in a build like that.
I had no idea you could run that quite so well, I feel like that would be fun to try with a squad. I know as someone who plays killer fairly often I'd be mighty impressed to watch every survivor kobe off the hook time after time. Although I think my phantasm traps would be pretty counterintuitive to their attempts. LOL.

As the title says, this is concerning the exhaustion add ons for certain killers that have it. Now this is not a rant, but I was in a game recently when playing clown. For my add ons I ran cooldown time after throwing the bottles to recover faster along with the jug that gives the exhaustion effect for 30 seconds.
After the game I gave a good old "gg", only to get a insult afterwards. Some of the words they used were very inappropriate so I am not planning to post a screenshot nor go into detail about it. I simply told them that its inside the game and I am free to use what I want and of course the same applies goes for them.
Is there something I am not understanding?
Is running exhaustion add ons really that concerning or something to debate over?
As somebody who is a self-described survivor main even I realize that counters to perks is how the game functions. Survivors can take out hex totems extremely quickly especially with small game. I believe it is completely fair if killers have perks that can counter some survivor perks. If you're a good looper with a half-decent team that will save you when you're down or take a protection hit when you need it it's fair. I understand why survivors hate not being able to use their perks but the same can be said with hex totems. This game is just a system of checks and balances on perks between killer and survivor. I will say something like hex: undying could have it's place for exhaustion perks such as a way to counteract forced exhaustion, but it would come at the cost of a perk slot.
