I get tunneled about 1/4 games and camped about 1/6 games I would estimated, camping is less of an issue for me personally.
I'd say this is my experience as well. It's not something that happens to me in a vast majority of cases, but it's not really rare either.

I agree with @Toybasher 's suggestion. I always struggle getting points in the Survival category because there are very few interactions that counts toward it. Even evading/running the killer and sneaking past them counts for Boldness rather than Survival.
So, I hardly get more than 500 without actually surviving the trial or not being obsession.
-
I feel "Self-Sufficient" and "Useful Specific Set of Skills" should be reversed in tier. We all know that the person that somehow solves or cracks whatever primordial entity's puzzle has a larger chance of dying by the end.
I wholly agree with the list in general though. You really nailed it.
-
I like Jake the most because I can relate to him about not wanting to be around other people.
-
It's more likely a double tap action... as @Gay Myers (Luzi) pointed out. It happens to me every now and then when I panic press, especially facing Freddy or Doctor with their imaginary pallets.
I had also gotten the moment where I press too fast and I drop the pallet before even going through so I kind just "stun myself" in front of the killer and hope they don't notice.
-
I never disconnect from matches... I find it detrimental for both the Killer and fellow Survivors.
Having three people disconnect on you is always awful and it's disturbing how often that happens to me. Then again, you are talking to the one person that had his own teammate sell them out for the sole purpose of not losing ranks. Some members of this community are truly entitled.
Adding to the Myers discussion, I enjoy going against him because I never know what to expect and I like the jump scares when I truly can't predict where he is.

I am genuinely curious as to what genrush means to most Killers.
As far as survivors have explained me, it's basically using purple Toolboxes with multiple add-ons and perks to increase the speed of fixing generators and finishing them as soon as possible.
I was once accused of being a gen-rusher in a match when I did none of those things and just worked in the first generator I found. I don't think having a coordinated effort (without SWF) should be considered a genrush, but merely some sort of luck. Like, it really has nothing to do with playing effectively or not from either side. There are some games where literally not a single generator pops through the entire trial.
-
As a survivor main, I think Undying is fun to go against because it gives me a bit of an alternative objective.
My only issue remains as others have mentioned with the Aura reading and I agree that specific effect should be transferred to Thrill of the Hunt instead or limit the Aura reading to active totems instead of all. It'd only be my two recommended alternatives.
I have also encountered some bugs that are being currently abused by the community such as the cleansed Hex not losing any tokens after being transferred to another one making Devour Hope incredibly difficult to go against. So, it definitely needs some patching.
-
As a survivor main, Legion and Doctor are my two most hated killers to go against, but I have never disconnected from a match. I just know it will be a painfully slow match or an insufferable one... depending on how the player playing the killer is.
However, I reckon as most have pointed out it is mostly from entitled survivors who would rather not deal with that instead of playing it. I have also gotten some bad experiences with these entitled players going as far as "selling me" to the Legion player so they can get a guaranteed escape and blasting me on chat for "not doing anything" and a part of me is doubtful of whether they recognise most Legion players actually slow the game because they keep chasing you off of generators so that plus Thanatophobia and Ruin combo make it really hard to get anything done in an uncoordinated team.
I mean I already know a Legion won't be a fun match, but it doesn't give me the right to DC and blast other people over it. It's detrimental to the game experience in general.

Are you saying you can't escape or that you choose to let them kill you?
If you're saying the latter than you are a rare breed. I don't tunnel or camp because I just don't find it fun to do. The only time I've had a survivor or 2 give themselves up was when the match somehow turned into a farm match because I let someone heal right in front of me because I felt bad they got farmed or I was just trying to do a challenge so after I got it I let the survivors do whatever. Things led down a farm path in those cases.
If I was just having a bad game or tying a new killer/build though? Never. By my playstyle (more than fair I think, as stated above)? Nope not that either. Only farm matches.
Any normal match, Survivors are by and large more than happy, and will even go out of their way, to be toxic or optimal if you're having a rough time. But they get upset when you do the same and expect mercy hatch. I just really don't like the double standards.
As a survivor main, when the Killer is being fair (no camp, no tunnel) and outsmarts me, I have absolutely nothing to complaint. I say good game and praise their gameplay (I've gotten hate for this all the same from entitled survivors). If the killer plays bad, I simply don't say anything or make some suggestions "Don't camp, it helps no one and neither you nor us make points :("
If the Killer decides to let us farm points for any reason, I do as much as I can to give them points too, let them kick gens, break pallets, open the doors and such at the door I let them decide if they want to kill me or not... sometimes the killer just downs me and carries me to the exit so I assume they want me to go. If they still hook me to get 4k, I still thank them for letting me play and make points.

I'm not going to say I don't understand, and there's almost always some genuinely rough circumstance or imbalance in your life creating that need for an emotional outlet where you can flip the tables by making other people upset/suffer/agitated. But that's really not how things are for most of us. Definitely not how they should be. It's just a game.
Emotionally stability is being able to handle those people and their ways of injecting toxicity into day to day interactions whether its even intent or just their nature. Emotional instability does mean people who can't handle that sort of toxic environment without their own wellbeing suffering, but emotional instability also encompasses that subset of people who need to validate their own experiences by disrupting those of others.
The internet has really enabled a lot of anti-social tendencies to flourish in people by naturally providing such insular environments of reinforcement. And people easily conflate "that which is" with "that which should be" in those places. Yeah, if you look to actual competition between actual humans, you'll find those same toxic mentalities from time to time--and some people simply are that way--but the important distinction is that's not encouraged or accepted.
In fact, the most professional and competitive venues always have penalties (financial or otherwise) against that sort of toxicity and bad sportsmanship. There's strategic value to poise, composure, and trying to knock their other player off their game. But that's something done by excelling in performance and making it look easy--it's not your noseguard calling their quarterback racial slurs. No player starts banging on the table in the middle of a poker match to throw off the other player's concentration. You don't teabag someone after you pin them. Trolling isn't composure. It's just another means of bullying. And bullying is always fun as long as you're the bully.
"It's just a game" isn't the battlecry for why you should act like that; it's the point of reason behind why the real world looks down on that stuff.
I share your sentiment too. I play to have fun and enjoy the game. I understand and find some stuff of it frustrating, but it happens and I still try to make the best out of the situation and just entertain myself. This obsession people have with it, winning, making people miserable, and keeping ranks is very frightening.
-
I'm majorly a solo queue and I share some sentiments that some of you have put in here.
I like it, it's fun and I enjoy it because I never know what I'm going to get. Sometimes you get a super uncoordinated team and nothing will get done. Sometimes you get campers or tunnellers and the game will go super-slowly as I die on the first few minutes with 3k of bloodpoints. Sometimes, you will get an incredible well-assembled team and they will gen-rush the poor killer right off the bat. It's a gamble always.
Lately, I've gotten some bad experiences with toxic survivors blasting at me on chat for whatever reason on higher ranks like they expect me to know how to do everything -- gen-rushing, looping the killer, somehow knowing where they are so I don't accidentally bring the killer to them...
Nevertheless, it does not deter my experience with the game in general. Just deters my intent to socialise with other players. I must also say me experience with the forum has been cordial, everyone I've talked to has been a good sport.

Agreed, as someone who mainly solo queues (not because I don't have friends, it is just that they don't like the game nearly as much as me and aren't the best at it), it is funny when you play with baby dweets. Usually, I end up dying trying to help them escape by taking one too many hits (they still don't get out unless the rest of the team is decent). However, it can be frustrating to play sometimes because of the same reason. Sometimes I just feel like winning and would like to play an intense game, but then a no mither david joins and dc's on first down. But yes, just learn to enjoy solo queue. A build I recommend for solo queue is prove thyself, bond, kindred, and we'll make it. I have a discussion that explains a little about why I chose these perks and what they will help you with.
I'd suggest Better Together as a possible change for Bond. That way you can highlight your location to other survivors when fixing a generator to other players, but it's a give or take. I do like your idea overall. I might try it one of these days, thank you!
-
As a survivor main, it doesn't hurt my feelings when a survivor DCs. I do feel bad for the killer and any fellow teammates because it's detrimental for the gameplay -- especially if it happens like five minutes in at first hit for no good reason other than being petty. I do thank killers for taking it easier on the rest of us when this happens... I don't mind if they end up killing us as long as they let us make some bloodpoints.
When a killer DCs, I assume it's due to a bad connection -- at least I had never had a killer DC on me for toxic gameplay. It always happens like a few seconds into the match so I assume it's just bad connection.
-
The only times I've ever tried to kobe is when the person trying to save me gets downed by the killer and either there is two of us or the other one/two are far too entertained trying to gen-rush or when I'm the only remaining survivor on the trial and it's my first hook for whatever reason.
I find it rather unsettling to do it in other scenarios. I've gotten multiple people commit suicide right as I'm about to touch them...
Thus far I've only been successful thrice without Slippery Meat, but I prefer to let my teammates get more points for Altruism.

That is true since idk if they would add a Dog killer since the Camera would be lower then Blight's camera.....think I seen a similar discussion about a Killer dog from a Japanese or dubbed film.
Though they can make the Dog mutate to some what resemble a mutant werewolf/dog.
Oh, it's not a literal dog. Rule of Rose uses distorted fairytales through their gameplay to describe events. It is set in a orphanage during the time for WWII and the tales are the invention of a child known as The Duchess. The game is utterly disturbing to say the least.
The Stray Dog is a story that the protagonist finds since the very beginning and it's presented as an enigmatic figure that punishes children for not obeying the laws of Red Crayon Aristocrat Club. As the protagonist ventures, she unveils The Stray Dog is a man called Gregory that lost his mind after the death of his own child. However, he only kills after a set of events breaks him thoroughly.

Oh yeah I remember that game and they could do him easily since how they made the Blight's camera so low....wish they can fix that but guess that mean we can have killers that are hunched over.
Hope they do even though Devs said something about not doing Cult Movies like Pumpkin Head so that would be a Cult video game so idk if they would do that but would be awesome.
If we got a DLC about Silent Hill. It is possible we could get one for Clock Tower too. I could even see The Barrows Mansion as the map and it'd be such an incredible setting with the right atmosphere. Clock Tower has also became a sort of defunct franchise after Clock Tower 3 (which was terrible) released in 2002.
Alternately, although unlikely, I would like to see a Rule of Rose DLC although it is one of those obscure horror games that probably nobody ever played. I do have a problem in visualising a Killer from there whatsoever. The Stray Dog, while psychotic, would be difficult to sort of structure into DBD without making him an entirely different character.
-
I'd scream if they did a Clock Tower: The First Fear Chapter.
I could definitely see Bobby, The Scissorman, and Jennifer Simpson in a game like this.
Clock Tower is one of those long forgotten gems of the survival horror franchises before they even became a major thing.
-
I don't think this is a bug at first glance, a mechanic has been implemented were you can be hit mid-action so it makes vaulting a bit more a gamble.
That latter part you added does seem like a lag issue rather than a bug. Unless it was a blinking Nurse or Pyramid Head's Punishment of the Damned, there is no way you'd have been hit once you had completed the action.

Nah thats not how Survivors play at higher ranks, in my whole 1200 hours I can count with the fingers of my hand how many times a Survivor has abused Bond (or other aura reading perks) to lead the Killer to other people, and even less times the Killer has taken advantage of it, like half of those the Killer actually killed the traitor and gave us a free escape or hooked the traitor first and let us gain distance.
As a Killer I had only 2 matches like those, the traitor got downed and facecamped, the other Survivors got out free.
Also is banable, under the "working with the killer category".
Thank you all for answering.
I legit don't think the killer deliberately cooperated with this player. I do think the player deliberately brought them to me over and tried to get them to down me first and then take the hatch while he was executing me. I do wish they had downed them too... but oh well.
Thank you for pointing out most people don't play like this. In all my game hours, this was the first time I ever encountered such a toxic player. I'm glad they are a rarity...

Hey, I like Your idea for the Hex :)
I admit, I'm not very good at making perks that utilize crows. Your idea is to make crows perk similar to Diversion or Red Herring, right? Then simply disturbing them won't do, they don't make any Loud Noise Notification for the Killer to see. How about this:
Unlikely Friend
Some animals remain friendly to others, even in this dark place.
Reduces chances to alert Crows by 50%.
Approach a Crow that wasn't disturbed by you and press the Active Ability Button to make them follow you for 30 seconds.
After performing any action that triggered a Loud Noise Notification, the Crow sits down at its location for 60 seconds and triggers a Loud Noise Notification visible to the Killer every 15/12/10 seconds.
Unlikely Friend has a cool-down of 120 seconds.
You can only interact with one Crow at a time.
Unlikely Friend cannot be used when you have accrued Stillness Crows.
I got an another idea for this. Instead of triggering a Loud Noise Notification, the Crow serves as a decoy? You form a bond with a Crow in specific and, whenever the killer would trigger an ability to reveal your Aura, it appears on the crow instead of you.The bond is broken and you have a cooldown of 120 seconds before being able to form a bond with another Crow. You can only form a bond with a Crow at a time.

As a fellow Clock Tower fan here, it was such a nice thing to see this discussion brought in here. This is one of the original horror survival gems that many people have forgotten across the years and it's such a game.
Such a complete game like DBD should definitely honour it.
After reviewing your initial post I have a few suggestions.
Unlikely Friend: What if instead of using the crows you disturbed to assist you in locating the killer. We translate it into a perk that activates by clicking? So, it disturbs the farthest crows from the survivor's location as a mean of giving a false lead to the killer. It could be good for stealthy survivors. It could have a cool down of 60/45/30 seconds and also increase the number of crows to 1/2/3.
Much like other person that commented, I'm not entirely sure of False Escape and Hidden In Plain Sight, but I do like your explanation for False Escape, it just maybe way too specific.
I do have an idea of Bobby having a perk called Mummy Dearest which allows him to activate a hex totem to produce a terror radio around it, revealing the location of survivors that are nearby for a few seconds. This in reference to Bobby's mother, Mary Barrows, who was a witch and also assisted him in murdering the girls after Dan dies in the fire downstairs. A figure of Mary could even appear as part of the perk.
