Qué raro, ¿no?
Better Google Translate that stuff, amigo.

Felt survivor sided day one. By the time killers figured it out by day 4 they're just murdering people.
-
Man "you do your part to lower queue times" is about the most sad statement of the modes health possible. If the games so bad that survivors have to queue up to make sure KwF has fodder then you know the mode is bad. Just add 8 Survivor bots already. They'll play better than most random survivors and then they can let the rest of us play normal mode.

They're probably waiting to play Killer in 2v8, and that's what's hurting their queue times. The BP incentive is there to encourage more Survivors to play for that mode. So I would encourage playing more Survivor as well. When you play Survivor, you do your part to lower the Killers' queue times just a little bit.

I just want to play some regular DbD during my time off work but the only role that doesn't have a horrendous queue time is 2v8 survivor, which I have ZERO desire to play. So thanks for that BHVR.
Yep same boat. Once I finished the tome challenges for event I was going to play regular. Not an option. Oh and let me break down the survivor experience. I see people not on gens yet not chased. I see survivors running escapist just to see pallets to throw to tank the game. I see a lack of chase because killers can two piece a survivor. I see slugging a lot of matches to extend the trial. Overall the entire experience for survivor is unsatisfying, and to top it off I usually get more points just playing regular mode and burning a couple of cakes. But now the regular mode is basically dead. 2v8 puts killers at a huge information advantage by seeing auras so much. The lunge from nurse is awful too. Can't mind game because auras are visible when chase starts and her lunge can basically hit across the county.

In my times find a match in online game after 25 min was already very generous (not Dbd). But now modern generation too soft waiting 10-15 min in online games. Be patient and remember could be much worse.
Not waiting 25 minutes to play a 15 minute round, gramps. Save the stories of walking to school and back uphill 20 miles for someone else.

Not sure why regular mode has to suffer because of 2v8. As much as the mode is fun, it gets repetitive and boring after a while. No killer variety, no perks. 2v8 is already very popular, it does not need incentives.
Yep pretty much this. They added a new mode that in my opinion is only fun for one side. Then took incentives away from the regular mode to bully players into the new, looked-fun-but-is-a-trainwreck mode. So now I can't play the "exciting" new mode because it's lame, they aren't running summer bbq, and as an extra kick regular mode got its points cut in half (no incemtive). Cool, so the devs basically want us to beta test for them for the anniversary event. Glee!
-
Because it's awful as hell as survivor.
-
1v4. 2v8 they modified the game too much and created an entirely unfun survivor experience. The 400% bonus just demonstrates how much of a fail this is.
-
Also it's a nice extra kick in the butt that devs took the bloodpoint bonus off regular mode. So basically bully people into trying this new trash mode. I'll be back once the events over thanks.
-
Bottom line is it's an awful mode for survivors, with limited play options and only there to provide an experience for killers. Hence why there's a huge bonus for survivors...welcome to grinding them bloodpoints. Playing as killer was fun of course. May as well allow survivor bots because it's the only way this mode survives.
-
Modes awful. Played it a few hours now wishing they just did the summer bbq event. Survivor play is extremely repetitive and killer play is awful points and long queue. Epic fail.

But...why play an online game to play offline? Like...how does that make any sense? That offline mode is just for testing out new killer powers and how they interact with survivors
Why are you worried how he plays a game? If bots get halfway decent it'd be fun. And maybe they won't just camp on first hook
-
Another idea that was floated and nothing happens. Sort of like any sense of balancing solo queue

If people played bot matches this would have a negative impact on matchmaking so No.
If people line up to play bot matches it tells you that the game isn't that fun online. If it impacts matchmaking then BHVR has a ######### product.

Quit complaining and just adapt. If you were that dependent on one perk then your mmr is probably inflated. This just seems like entitlement.
All that stuff killers said about DH.

I don't want it to be a crutch, I just want it to actually do something useful in a feasible manner. Keeping all 4 survivors injured for more than a few seconds, even with Legion, is a pipe dream, and 2% slowdown doesn't seem worth the perk slot.
adapt and move on, bro. there are so many other perks. This is just killer entitlement that I'm hearing. If you start losing matches because of this it just means you were boosted and you had an inflated MMR.
See, again all the same arguments survivors got to hear for the last two weeks!
-
Just learn to adapt and stop crutching one perk. It's literally what killer mains said for DH all week.
-
@Floki_Doki said:
I guess all the crying survivors were loud enough to be heard from Canada
Well needed. Entitled killers need to just learn to adapt. Obviously they were boosted and are just upset they can't push E to win anymore.
See how annoying that can be?

Can people PLEASE stop downplaying Dead Hard?
It had a 75% pick rate, which means every game was pretty much guaranteed to have two Dead Hard's at least. This could lead to extending a chase by up to 60 seconds, so even if those two Dead Hard users only managed to use it once each, that's 2 extra minutes. 2 minutes the other survivors had to freely work on gens without risk. 2 minutes.
The gen speed changes added 50 seconds to the total time to repair all 5 gens. That's less than 1 minute.
DH was by all definitions the most substantial effect to have changed in this patch.
75% pick rate across the board or at high mmr? One is way different than the other. Weird too at high mmr we see nurse 75% too let's remove her too.

@Emeal said:
What if Camping and Tunneling was not a problem, but a feature.
Think about if if you remove a Killer's ability to pick their targets and protect their goal, then the Slasher/Horror Theme falls apart.
I think bHVR knows that Killers need to be an unpleasant threat to Survivors for the game to function.
In a game that has introduced a kpop killer im going to go ahead and say the slasher theme is long past dead
-
Yep over half my matches have been against nurse the last couple of days. So killers across the board get a buff and we see more of the most frustrating killers. Cool.
In other news, screw all this lol. Not gonna waste time on this crap since I got my ps5 finally. Peace out.

Yes, mister 800 hours, I'm sure you can do gens better than me who has almost 6k hours,
"Killer main" indeed. Dont talk about solo Q issues when youre a killer main,
If you think that 800 hours isn't enough to understand issues with a video game you're bang outta order.
-
I don't know why people care about streamers opinions on this stuff. Chances are he's in the top what, 1% 3%? Do you think his experience in any way represents much of the community? That's like when politicians worth 100 million usd talk about their economic woes.

Loser behavior. There is always a chance to comeback. And even if you don't comeback and win, it may help your fellow teammates escape.
It's a PvP game. If you don't have the energy and ability to hang, play something else.
2nd hook and 5 gens? It's GG at that point with extended gen times.
-
Killers got base kit ability to break pallets faster and faster recovery after swing. Survivors should get base kit kindred.

Sounds like the blendette of the bush. Nice to have teammates carry while you cower in the corner, Scooby.

If Suiciding on Hook and DCing is increasing, this is a symptom of poor game health. In fact, this is probably the biggest red flag there is for a game.
Patch did absolutely nothing to address camping and with the extra time for gens there's more camping than ever. The joke that is base kit borrowed time is worthless when the killer just parks on the hook. I've seen games where survivor goes down in first 15 or 20 secs. Camped outta game. Oh do gens? Epic idea, except solo queue can't coordinate because devs seem to feel SWF should be the essence of the game. Oh the fun bonus I'd the survivor trying to kobe because they don't wanna sit there cranking themselves while Bubba revs his saw to the face whole time.

Survivor BP gains should have been adjusted a long time ago, but unfortunately the devs haven't made any indication that they seem to think that they're unbalanced compared to the killer side. It's something that definitely should be tweaked.
The removal of the BP bonus from WGLF didn't help either, and it (along with the removal from BBQ), was completely unnecessary and one of the misfires of this update.
See I liked getting rid of WGLF points...I saw too many people who would hook bomb for it. They def need to adjust points for gens I feel.

That's narrow-minded thinking. I play a lot of survivor, probably 50/50, and like a lot of people, while I think there were things that the devs got wrong in this update (DS change for one), overall, I like the shake-up it's provided, and my survivor rounds are more challenging, but not impossible to win. Not everyone is sharing your opinion who plays survivor.
Majority of people posting seem to be struggling. Maybe you should consider you're in the minority.

@StarMoral said:
I'm 50/50 Killer and Survivor, so I understand how to work both roles.
Killer feels so frickin good right now, as it should.
Survivor feels... Also really frickin good. And I dint know why people are crying about it.
Yes I get it, Dead Hard and Decisive are nerfed. Guess what, there are 6 other wonderful exhaustion perks you can use and Off the Record is literally the new Decisive. I've been running Overcome, Lucky Break, Off The Record, and Empathic Connection. I legit lose killers mid chase with this build and they can't tunnel me. They chase after me of course, but it's all to buy time for your team. Not JUST escaping.
Just because you get sacrificed doesn't mean you lost, ya know.
18 killers up voted this lol. Survivors hate it because instead of killers averaging 2k its like 3.5k now. Gens are boring and are awful for points when compared to secondary objectives and so the player base won't do it. So..gg?

Legion when every one is injured is a basic attack killer.
So in a game where you have two health states we'll just call the dude who specializes in halving that a basic attack killer. Cool.

But those 2 are separate issues. Soloq teammates doing poorly is not a balance problem, it’s a just a soloq player problem and you can’t really balance around players playing badly.
Why? Sure as hell seems they can balance against 4 man sweats

The same exact thing happens to me. I don’t understand how this matchmaking works. I can get 5 matches in a row with all potatoes, then as soon as I swap to killer- my first game is a 4 man SWF that hugs walls like magnets.
Yep and my original title of this thread was so does this get fun at some point?
-
Yeah it's weird I just can't hit a sweet...fun spot. Either I'm getting blasted by sweaty swf or as survivor getting teams finishing 2 gens at best. Neither provide entertainment.

@Mozic said:
MMR is going to feel out of whack until everybody has played a few matches and had their expected performance calibrated properly to the changes.
Additionally, there's going to have to be some meta adaptation on the part of the survivors - the matches where gens get done quickly that I've experienced so far involve people bringing multiple toolboxes. Just expecting empty hands to do all the work is a risk now.
And on top of that, there's nothing to say that there aren't going to be some amount of tweaks merited by such a huge patch change. The fundamentals, I assume, will stay the same - but the extremes might need sanding down.
See I don't have much faith in this supposed recalibration mechanic. I've been a crap killer for years and the rare times I get on as killer I'm lucky to get a single hook. This includes times I play as a killer I've never used.
-
@Seraphor said:
MMR doesn't degrade over time.
Your starting value from a clean slate would be 1100, and the soft cap is 1900. Though they said they can raise this as needed, so it might not be 1900 anymore.
Your killers have individual MMR's, but they can't be more than a certain amount apart, I believe 300ish? So if your best killer is at 1600, then you lowest can't be any lower than 1300.
You gain MMR for kills, and lose MMR for escapes, hatches are neutral. But it's more nuanced than that, if a survivor with a higher MMR than you escapes, you lose less than you would have if a survivor with lower MMR than you escapes. So it's relative to your opponents 'skill'.
The main thing though, is the match making. First it tries to match you with players within a certain range of you, and as time goes on that range expands to about 350 either way. So if you're at 1600, and you're waiting a long time, then you could be matched with anyone from 1250-1900... which is virtually anyone.
Throw in lobby dodgers, which then trigger backfilling that bypasses matchmaking altogether, and it's just a free for all.
MMR works, in theory, if there are enough players playing at every skill level at the same time. If that's not the case, it's pot luck.
The only thing is does do, is separate those at the very top, from matching against those at the very bottom. If you're in the middle, you can get either of them.
See i would love to see what my killer rating is and compare to my survivor rating. Again even from fresh eyes from my buddy who just started he saw a night and day difference playing on our different accounts. I'm not trying to toot my horn but I really think that because I did ok early in my dbd career it thinks I'm high rated. This rating then got spread to all my killers. I can't see any other way I get such hard swf sweat groups when I sign in and play a killer for the first time.
In all honesty this is the single most frustrating gaming experience I can remember.
-
Oh and a friend decided to play. He was loving killer on his account. He played on my ps4 and liked the game but did note it's different.
Again I'm awful as killer im very aware. How am I getting people this much above my skill level any time I try as killer?
-
Suppose not. The fun part is when I play as survivor people go down within 30 seconds. So I don't get it. How is this fun? I can try to play as killer and get paired off against sweat. Or play as solo queue and get potatoes. Is this game only made for swf pc gamers?
