  • I've stopped playing at this point. Too many times now I've seen gens FLYING, like FLYING, just to see streetwise in loadouts in the post match screen.

I can't wrap my head around the fact that this perk is still not killswitched after days of people posting about it here, reddit, twitter.

  • can you please explain why this GAMEBREAKING perk hasn't been killswitched yet?

  • why this hasn't been killswitched immediately is beyond me

  • Pyramidhead now just SPAMS his m2…. how did this even go live???

He's the jumpscare killer, it's part of the design.

Would be a good design if all the doors were not next to every gen, usually facing the other way so you can't really see the visual indicator. Jumpscare in this case is a free hit.

Plus zero penalty for missed axe, zero recovery from axe hits… the more i play against this killer the more obnoxious he becomes.

    1. If a video game is causing you anxiety…maybe you should play a different game?
    2. If you think camping is a competitive strategy, you really don’t know how to play competitively
    3. No, not every “sweaty” game requires slugging and tunnelling.
    4. It’s ok to lose, it’s just a (non-competitive) game. You’re not gonna win every match.
    5. seriously, stop camping - any comp…etent swf will just sit on gens and you’ll end up with maybe one kill.
    6. Good for you to take a break. But you will have much more fun in this game if you just stop taking it seriously.

I have played 8 matches against legion now and constantly I am seeing survivors full mending while they are still in their power, pre-dropping pallets instead of baiting and not tanking hits for healthy teammates.

Stop complaining about a killer you have no idea how to play against! It has to be at least 50% of the players I am matched with that do this which probably includes you if you complain about them.

If you just don't like legion in general just say that but keep this in mind though, he's easy to go against so what does that say about yourself as a survivor if you are struggling to face them?

I will say there are issues with 2v8 such as how survivor IS boring, they need to make it more interesting for us and there are many ways to do so.

    are you ok?

I've played 10 matches today. NINE out of those 10 matches were against Legion.

NOBODY complaining about Legion in 2v8 says that Legion is too strong in this mode. Literally NOBODY.

It is simply BORING and obnoxious to play against match after match in such a cool and fun game mode. It just sucks the fun out of it. Read the room.

  • Same here. Stutter occurs almost every time when he uses the snare or "explodes" his pallets. Screen freezes for a second (not audio) and then usually you're dead…

No wonder bugs take forever to fix if you decline valid reports. On top of that, this bug is super easy to recreate…Just play vs new freddy or as him.

  • I've seen similar report but it has been declined for some reason even though many people said they are experiencing the same thing.

I don't know about playing Freddy, but the stutter occurs also when playing against him. Pretty much every time he uses snare or explodes his pallets.

This makes playing against him even more miserable than it already is.

  • Same thing, it's been happening since last update

  • Same issue, but happened when I found a game with Huntress.

We're more than halfway through the year! Time to check in with the live updates the team will be working on for the rest of 2024.

As always, timelines may change, but we'll keep you updated as we progress.

How many times…WE DON'T WANT FINISHER MORI's!!!! Stop it already.

  • How do you still need more info on this? There's plenty of videos on reddit and twitter. This has been reported over a week ago and 1a bugfix patch did not fix it.

It applies to some variations of Autoheaven. What is worse is that this bug is abusable by survivors that just beeline to the hole and jump off the map which then teleports them somewhere making a chase pretty much pointless.

    It also happens in 2v8.

WHY Autoheaven hasn't been killswitched yet is beyond my comprehension. It should've been done a week ago while you guys work on a fix.

This is a quote from your DbD Twitter account from 8 days ago:

"We are aware of an issue affecting Map generation and causing some players to fall out of bounds. We are working on an urgent fix that will be rolled out across platforms as soon as it becomes available, and we will provide updates as we go. We appreciate your patience and understanding."

Which clearly shows that you are aware. PLEASE since the bug is still in the game, KILLSWITCH AUTOHEAVEN until this is properly fixed.

    Examples from reddit:

from 10min ago (post 1a patch)

    https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1eh46pq/what_is_going_on/

from pre 1a patch: (it's the same issue, also autoheaven)

    https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1eghemt/ok_now_this_is_just_ridiculous/

Unfortunately I don't have more time to go through all of the reddit posts.

What is worse, there are days where AUTOHEAVEN appears more often than other maps. Please, again - KILLSWITCH the map until this is fixed due to survivors abusing this.

    Thank you

They're probably waiting to play Killer in 2v8, and that's what's hurting their queue times. The BP incentive is there to encourage more Survivors to play for that mode. So I would encourage playing more Survivor as well. When you play Survivor, you do your part to lower the Killers' queue times just a little bit.

I've been playing survivor non stop for past 3 days… If 400% BP doesn't encourage people enough, nothing will. Keep in mind that there's still NINE more days of 2v8. If you think it's fair to tell half the playerbase to just play something else until then or marinate in both killer q's, I don't know what to tell you.

EDIT: sorry, I thought you're the same person that replied earlier. what I said still stands though. I do not think it is even remotely acceptable to have such a long queue times in regular games.

Your opinion is valid, but you dont get to halt on other players and blame them for not wanting to play regular gamemode. If queue times are that much of a issue play custom or wait untul auguest 5th

No my friend. At no point in time, regular killer queues should be 15minutes. Fixing MAIN GAME should be a priority, not some goofy limited time mode.

Plus…if survivors aren't playing 2v8, and they aren't playing normal queue, where are they then? How can both killer queues be so bad? Something is clearly wrong.

2v8 is already very popular, it does not need incentives.

What? The mode desperately needs more survivors.

No it does not. If that was even remotely true, killer queues in regular mode would not be absolutely abysmal. If the survivors aren't playing 2v8 and they aren't playing regular mode, where are they then?

Incentive should be completely removed and put back in regular mode. Survivors are now playing BP farm aka 2v8, increasing that incentive won't change anything. 2v8 has larger issues and no incentive on survivor side is going to change that. Meanwhile regular game is suffering.

  • If 400% doesn't change much, it means the issue lies elsewhere. 600% won't change anything either at this point.

  • @Peanits said:

As others have mentioned, the purpose of the incentive is to encourage people to play Survivor in 2v8 to help balance out the queues. Survivors are needed most in the 2v8 mode right now and by a pretty large margin, so that's where the incentive goes.

We aren't able to support different bonuses for each mode at the moment, so the incentives for the regular mode are currently disabled. We're looking to separate this so we can support the appropriate incentives for both modes in the future, but to manage expectations, I would not expect the regular mode to have an incentive as big as the limited time mode (or anywhere near 400% for that matter).

Not sure why regular mode has to suffer because of 2v8. As much as the mode is fun, it gets repetitive and boring after a while. No killer variety, no perks. 2v8 is already very popular, it does not need incentives.

Don't tunnel and you'll be fine.

this has nothing to do with tunneling. all it takes is just one person to die. that's it.

Hey folks, now that we've had some time to see it play out and think it over, I wanted to give a quick update. The current plan is to make some changes to Mage Hand in one of our upcoming minor patches.

    • We'll be slightly reducing Mage Hand's range to 14m (was 16m) EDIT: This one is no longer planned.
    • We're reverting the pallet lift time to 0.5s (was 0.35s) - this is the same as the PTB version.

We'll also be reworking the Ring of Telekenesis add-on (which currently causes Mage Hand to pick up pallets quicker) to have a different effect since this turned out to be a very risky number to mess with.

And lastly, as a quick reminder, we'll be fixing a bug which caused Mage Hand to continue picking up a pallet after it stuns you (the stun will correctly cancel Mage Hand), so combining it with Enduring will no longer be an issue.

Keep an eye out for patch notes in case anything changes.

"had some time"??? Can we maybe wait a bit longer than 3 days before we nerf and rework stuff?

I love playing this mode, it’s such a refreshing change of pace, but there’s one thing I have noticed. If killers know there’s no threat of perks like DS, OTR ect then they will tunnel like their life depends on it, which is why such perks are necessary in the main game

But should they need to be necessary? Game modes like this show us how fun the game can be when there’s perk variety, if players aren’t running the same build game after game out of necessity the game becomes so much more fun

It’s why I think a lot of the anti tunnel perks need to nerfed/ reworked and instead have some of their power build into a survivors base kit, just so you’re not completely disadvantaged when you don’t run the same perks game after game, and aren’t heavily limiting your play style/ build just to avoid getting hard tunnelled at 5 gens, allowing a lot more perk variety which is much healthier for the game in the long run

Game mode WAS insanely fun. At the beginning. Now it's plagued with Skull Merchants, Twins, and tunneling and slugging sweats desperate to make another limited-time fun game mode miserable for everyone else while taunting you with "ggez" in chat.

Unless something will be done about that, there's no point in keeping or introducing any other modifiers to this game because killers will ruin it as they did with My Little Oni.

  • How is this still under review? This report is from November. I had at least two games in the past two days with this bug and it's been now - what? 5 months?

  • @Xernoton said:

That was exactly what the devs wanted to achieve though. The goal wasn't to stop camping but stop killers from preventing unhooks because it's a horrible experience for that survivor when they are only hooked once and die without any chance of someone getting them off. This is no longer possible. So it achieved its goal.

It is not an anti camping mechanic but an anti face camping mechanic. As in: Killers should not be able to stand right at the hook and prevent all unhooks.

The problem you’re describing was fixed with removal of hook grabs…so no - that’s not what the devs wanted to achieve with anti camp

People need to get used to him, but he’s perfectly fine as he is now

This is definitely not perfect...They made him absolute ez mode now. Also Thompson mix needs to go...basically no CD after missed attacks

I see many people with a severe case of skill issue complaining about this perk and asking for a nerf.

You can easily counter it by either running Calm Spirit (which is now thankfully a more viable perk) or simply moving in an unpredictalbe direction the moment your position is given away.

yea...definitely skill issue on my part going into 2nd stage because my team can't find me. Perk does too much, calm spirit doesn't counter the blindness effect which is an absolute pain on some maps.

  • It does show up. You need to stop repairing the gen and prompt will show up. It has its own animation now. I've been using Blast Mine with no issues in the past few days.
