That's something that bores me too. Always the same perks in both. Some rounds feel like you're always playing against the same player. So I hope that the older perks will be buffed.

Often matches are shorter and you go out of a match faster.
Why survivors dont get much bloodpoints in general?
A killer gets more BP in every action. Also the categories are easier to do as a killer.
I mean, its frustrating after i got camped or tunneled out of a match and only get 3k BP.
But even when a killer has a bad match, he's still around 15 - 20k bloodpoints.
The categories are terrible aswell, especially if some guys die fast.
Team actions are often earned hard, cause you cant do much. Doing a gen together, healing or taking a hit. There aren't that much more.
The only category you get fast, is target. Generators and exit gates.
I mean, one of the categories for bloodpoints is survival. And mostly you get it trough skillchecks. Cause, camped or tunneled and its out.
Boldness depends on the killer. With boon totems it got a lot easier.
A killer gets 3 categories in one chase. For example, brutality hitting or destroying things. Using his power he gets Devioutness and Hunter for going after a survivor.
Event after the end, he gets the 4th categorie, sacrifice.
I think survivor bloodpoints or the bloodpoints in general should get tweaks.
Maybe also raise the cap from 8k to 10k? We have litterly over 100 perks, more bloodpoints in general wouldnt hurt anyone.
Especially new player or players that didnt play the whole time have a hard time.
The killer has to take care of 4 Survs, gens and recently also totems. Why should Survs who only screw gens get more points?

Yes that's true. Sometimes spawns a totem directly into your face. But when I see a mate with a map and running around and try to find a totem so he can finally cast his spell's, this time is gone. So still not efficient in my eyes.
In a SWF group it's for sure effective. But in my solo experience it's not really efficient.
Sorry, but these people aren't the problem either. If you can't even find totems with a map, you really don't have much game time.
And it doesn't need a swf. Any solo survivor with a little playtime and map knowledge can lead you to any spawn without tools or perks .

@DieGräfin said:
I don't think the boons are OP. You need to find first a totem. And that tooks sometimes a long time. So not really efficient on gens. The extra heal is cool but I really don't think is broken and OP.
Finding a totem is not difficult. Anyone who has been playing dbd for a while knows the places where totems are usually found. Survivors often spawn right in front of a totem

"Boon totems are so weak they will never replace the old Meta"

All those idiots on this forum that know it's OP and abuse them in all trials.

2 CoH in the game, there is a healing totem 100% of the time on the map. Impossible to hit anyone and run, they are all healed in 5 seconds (with the extra medkit).
I mean come on. They all came to take protection hits and ran to a boon and they were healed in 5 ######### seconds.
But yes, everything is okay, being fully healed in 5 seconds while the killer needed 30/45 seconds to get a hit is perfectly fine and fair.
All trials are like this, every ######### trials at high MMR.
But no worry, BHVR will now bring a boon totem doing like unbreakable but an infinite amount of time and for the whole team. Once again it's okay, it is situational.
Survivors are so confident that they don't even feel the need to cleanse the plaything totems...
It's annoying. They come, take a protective hit, and then disappear again. 10 seconds later they stand in front of you again, fully healed. I now always take forced penance with me. That gives me at least a little time...
"just do boons" funny ... Had 4 survs with boons today. Now please someone explain to me how I should proceed against it? While everyone is repairing gens, I'm supposed to hunt totems?
Survs don't need deadhard or other exhausting perks. CoH + lucky break + iron will ... Not even nurses calling counters that when shadowstep is there...

Same here. I just got gold 1 with killer and survivor.

Ah, the mystery box that is hidden MMR. People can think they're high mmr or low mmr, and no one can prove they aren't.
I find that quite amusing anyway. Everywhere, whether youtube, twitch or forums, you read that every dbd player plays in the high mmr. I mean, they could be so bad that bad killers are good for them. But the problem is different. There are still a lot of players who believe that Red Rank means they are in the high mmr.

I play on the spirit of which has recently been buffed and the red rank has become even easier to take and I'm only glad that we added boon totems as the survivors spend time on their consecration
So I don't understand your whining about this
Did I miss something? When was Spirit buffed?

I had a round yesterday where I was forced to tunnel. I played Legion and everyone was injured. Seconds later, 3/4 were completely healed. After the third time, I tunneled Mikaela out and that was effective. All survivors relied on the blessing and when it was completely removed from the game all other survivors were easy targets.
I don't like tunnels because as a survivor I don't want to be tunneled either. But there are moments with these blessings when I see no other way.
-
If the Survs are superior to you and you want to end the round quickly, then open a gate and stand in a corner with your face to the wall. There are plenty of ways to avoid toxic survivors at the end of the round.
Or If the gates are open, run around and break a few more pallets for points. Sometimes you even meet a Surv trying to escape through the hatch.
I also know how annoying survivors like that are. But when you know there is nothing more you can do, don't go to the exit and let the survs click and tbag there. With some of the solutions you have mentioned, there will only be problems that can be exploited.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/290119/solo-escape-is-not-possible
I think if I were to play super selfish and only for the sake of escaping, not helping teammates unless it's in my benefit(aka, them having shown they have an average of 30 seconds per health state in chase, meaning healing them is beneficial to my escape), I could easily escape 80% of my matches.
But I think that's kinda one of the problems in DBD, that survivors are not considered a team, and thus not balanced around survivors being a team.
There is a reason why we want a communication system in the game, so solo survivor gets buffed to the level of SWF, so that in return, killers can get a basekit buff too(Fire Up as basekit at the very least, being able to remove pallets faster when survivors are closer to their goal is kinda important, the fact that the situation during the EGC can be exactly the same situation as the start of the game because an area has never been looped, is kinda an issue)
I don't think that would help. I mean you have 2 solo Russian players in the lobby and they don't speak English. With this toxic community, I wouldn't be surprised if every second child insults my mother. For the two reasons alone, I would not use a voice chat at all.
You can see it in other games that are far less toxic than dbd. Either umpteen languages are spoken, just no English. Or everyone thinks they are a god and you are the noob. But maybe I've just had a lot of bad experience with ingame communication systems and I'm exaggerating...

This is ridiculous how this game has changed during the past year. I would says, the Billy nerf was the beginning of the end. IDK why, I just feel it. MMR... Survivor changed to be more "gen efficient", by doing gens literally in your face... This is used to be a horror game, but no one fears the killer. Survivors have changed. Killers need to adapt.
There is no room now for a "fun build" as a survivor you run meta. As a killer -- you need to run meta too or lose. Kinda boring.
That will be one of the reasons why there is so much tunneling going on right now. Many killers who don't play meta-perks often have no other choice.
That is exactly what is boring. That I have to play Meta-Perks as a killer if I don't want to leave the trial with a 0-1 kill every time.
I play Oblivious perks sometimes, just to put a little scare on the Survs. But that doesn't stop any progress, so the round is often over before it starts to be fun.

Uh huh.
When the next page of the event rift arrives I'm playing facecamping Bubba as much as possible, explicitly because of this post.
But please in the basement and with Insidious. 🤣

If 1 person dc's right at the beginning and 2 people brought bloodpointofferings for everyone, maybe consider not tunneling, camping and slugging people. With 0 gens done, ruin up, on a map (midvich) that you decided to go to. With you having good perks and add ons, when those survivors don't even bring 1 meta perk.
For those about to complain: No I don't expect someone to farm, I don't want to farm. BUT one can play differently in a 3 vs 1. Be respectful, don't tunnel/camp. Give survivors at least a chance to get some points. Just behave like a feeling, empathic human being, it's all I ask (if that isn't true for you, just play as if you posessed those qualities, like an actor).
Tbh I wish the devs would punish tunneling and camping in 3 vs 1's when bp offerings were brought. Like there is NO acceptable reason to play that disgustingly selfish if you are already having an advantage.
Is the Survivor Rulebook for Killers a real rule book? Every 2nd round dc'd a Surv. Should I be nice all the time about that?
-
@Mr_K said:
Just take it as another example why this game needs dc penalties.
Everytime its turned off the community proves why it was needed to begin with.
Definitive. Since it's turned off, I've had at least one Surv dc every 2nd trial because he doesn't like the killer. Annoying for the others who just want to play a decent round.

Swf is often played as an excuse by killers who get destroyed in a game without any proof the team they played against were even swf.
I play solo exclusively & have been accused multiple times of "cheating with communications" just because we all played well.
Of course there are the swf death squads I play Trapper a lot & sure those teams have destroyed me!
But there are far more swf groups that just play for fun & a lot of them are so desperate to save their friends a 4k game is a virtual guarentee with zero camping & or tunneling required I'd suggest 90%+ of the very highest tier survivors will not be swf & they'll be a bigger variety of killers than the 3 everyone seems to expect.
Whether for fun or to sweat it doesn't matter. Information is exchanged that cannot be exchanged without swf. Information that is enough to gain maybe a few seconds. Seconds that decide between victory or defeat in a game like dbd.
I play with a friend and one thing is for sure ... Although we don't sweat, we have an advantage over the killer that solo players only have with perks.
Just because every swf doesn't sweat doesn't mean they can't sneak an advantage out of it.
The argument that many swf just want to have fun is total bullshit. Or do you really think they talk about the weather during the chase?
Removing swf would be wrong. But solo players and killers should get some sort of selectable passive buff without waste a perk slot.

Man kann von sluggen halten was man will.
-
I don't camp, but depending on the situation, I tunnel. Depending on the build, I also use noed. I play the way I enjoy it, Survs play the way they have fun. I could now also say, stop Flashlight saves and accept the lost game. Will anyone do that? I dont think so. So I play the way I always play...
To me, it almost sounds like a new rulebook for Killers. 😅

Will be a coincidence. A friend and I tried it in a private lobby. Meg without perks and trapper without perks. Still, we're stuck in the loading screen.

I don't get a penalty for closing the game. However, every time I lose my offerings. But I don't lose addons.
It's unplayable right now.
