Working as designed. Giving every survivor and there mother a million second chances and canceling out any skill or mindgame the killer used to get the down. Well designed. Ruin was nerfed for the health of the game for survivors. Dead Hard is easily causing the most frustration and distress for killer players and more then half of survivors use it but its working as designed. It's overused and to powerful with how fast survivors objective is.
Well said. #KillerMainsMatter

Well as far as it goes it seems that only Ceno and Artist have working MMR for me, so at least there are 2 killers I can play.
Nice man. It feels like the killer community in this game is becoming extinct. A funny thing that could happen is if every killer main decided to go "on strike" for the devs to show some love and care to helping balance problems in the game that have been prominent for a long time. So many people are quitting, and I had to take a long break to stop myself from dropping this game. I wonder what the future of this game holds, it looks pretty bleak.

It's impossible to win a game casually with any killer other than Nurse, Blight or Spirit with disgusting add ons. Any other killer needs the strongest most META perks money can buy to even stand a chance against super passive "second chance" survivor perks.

Wrong. It's a fact, no need to debate.

Tried playing Huntress. First hook by 1 gen remaining. I don't think in my 5 years of palying I have ever felt weaker and more of a noob.
Yeah, I tried playing huntress for the first time and after 3 games the MMR decided it was time for me to go against 3k hour sweat squads. I don't play any other killer apart from nurse these days with ruin, undying, pain resonance, DMS.

Hey everyone, thanks for commenting on my disscussion. I've seen lot's of ideas but I saw the idea where when you are affected by Borrowed Time, you lose your collision. I think this would be a stellar idea, and completely removes any problem with the perk. If the killer targets you off hook, you have enough time to go somewhere safe. If the killer goes for someone else, you can't purposely bodyblock. I think that would be a perfect change

If BHVR disables Dead Hard, they'll all run Sprint Burst and then everyone will realize that Sprint Burst helps you complete all objectives faster, making it easier for all four survivors to escape. The meta will change and never change back. Why did we even run Dead Hard?
Same with how the release of Pyramid Head and more anti-loop killers changed how survivors loop tiles and it's never going to change back.
You'd think after both perks being in the game for 6 years survivors would see that it's better? No. No one will ever run another exhaustion perk unless you have it in some niche build. Dead Hard is now default on every survivor. Survivors now have 3 health states, nothing anyone can do about it.

Oh I see, Thanks for the info

love your grand total of 2 examples

I'd rather see a whole day with no perks from both sides.
It would be interesting if they disabled; Dead Hard, DS, BT, Unbreakable and Circle of Healing for like 3 days. See what cool combinations survs make

As a killer main I have to say that I disagree with almost every one of your ideas, yes survivor meta perks need to be nerfed but they have needed that for years, your idea makes them pretty trash if I'm being totally honest.
the game needs build in mechanics to counter tunneling/ camping if they want that. BHVR has explicitly said that there is no problem against it, however they "discourage" it. Having perks that basically act as magical shields that can protect survivors against something they never build the game against isn't anyones fault, It means BHVR has to properly address whether tunneling is bad or good. If it's bad, have some sort of build in mechanic to discourage it. If it's a totally fine strategy, their shouldn't be perks that make survivors invincible.

Honestly I can see these being good but for ds I wouldn't halt the timer in a chase only cause there have been times a survivor ran away and soon after run right in front of the killer. Along with people using the perks aggressively as well.
I thought of that aswell, but I'm not sure how you could not use it aggressively. Having a perk that makes you virtually invincible is pretty dumb in general.

If you play ghostface or myers you automatically get a 15% increased chance to get a coldwind map, ormond or forsaken boneyard.
-
Personally I don't want to eat chicken noodle soup for the rest of my life.
-
I'd play as my original main. Ghostface. Devil Face, Lethal Pursuer, double recharge, Nurses Calling, Damascus Knife, Surge, Bloodwarden.

"it only takes about 2 - 3 4k's before I'll be matched with the typical sweaty group" - wow, haven't seen so much entitlement in a while. You get 2 - 3 4k's and you call others sweaty for not letting you getting 4k's continuously? How many 4k's do you think you are entitled to before you should be called sweaty?

There it is
Here is where he admits that the game is working, but tries to frame it like it shouldn't be that way. He just doesn't like losing.
By this I mean I played pig for the first time (a basic m1 killer with slowdown), and I got about 3 4k's because all the survivors were inexperienced. Understandable. However after those games I got the same skill of players in my nurse games (which I have hundreds of hours of experience with). So hypothetically, If a newer player tries to play killer (or when I tried playing a new killer), the survivors I'm matched with have tons of more experience because killer experience is completely different from survivor expereince.I'm not able to properly learn the killer and gain experince with other survivors who are also gathering experince. I am merely starting to learn a killer against thousand hour survivors that know exactly how to counter me and my whole experience is ruined. That's the point I'm trying to get across. It's hard to learn new killers when you don't have any time to learn, you're immediatly versing seasoned players and you'll get stomped.

Scourge hooks are very good. They (usually) have a strong effect, but sometimes may not occur because of RNG, or distance, but the killer simply taking longer to hook itself makes scourge's balanced. Boons on the other hand are also balanced, except for CoH. They need to completely re-do the perk . The effect is too strong and no matter how many nerfs it gets, it's the concept of the perk that's strong.
-
Try out some really situational perks. Things like Claustrophobia, Play with your food, Haunted Ground etc. Perks where your activation can sometimes be random!

Have you tried Civilization?

yeah I hate having to stop playing to use up my points.. If I'm actively leveling someone, I can just use them up between matches, or if I'm leveling a survivor.. but if I'm using my survivor points on the killer side, then I have to switch sides, use them, then switch back.. or if I'm leveling a different killer than the one I'm playing, I need to switch killers, use them, then switch back before I can queue up since you can't switch killers after queueing up anymore.
I feel the same. It doesn't feel like you can "save up" bloodpoints because you HAVE to keep track of your bloodpoints and if not you might reach the cap and start wasting points. If they remove the cap or raise it significantly, I can relax while I know my points are going up and I can use them whenever I want.
-
Honestly, they should just remove it. Or; raise it to 10 million so people who play really long sessions don't feel like they're waiting BP's or feel pressured to spend it on something.
-
I think the amount of pressure that CoH can bring with almost no downsides whatsoever is so stupid. Every other boon is really balanced because the effect is a good buff that can indirectly affect something (like Shadowstep). If snuffing boons had a bigger effect (like a 80 or 120 second cooldown), it would only feel fair for CoH, but all the other boons would feel terrible to use because the effect is significantly smaller than CoH. I personally think the healing buff should only be 50% and when a totem is snuffed, have a significant cooldown, but on CoH make the cooldown 2x longer, or 3x longer because the amount of time that CoH can give the survivor team if the killer is trying to use hit and run is probably even more time than Hex: Ruin can.
But a better solution is to make a competitive mode or remove SBMM! At this point, I don't care if it splits the player base, I'd rather play a more unbalanced game and have fun than an extremely balanced game that feels like a chore to do.
