  • And here I was thinking this mode actually had balance.

  • Isn’t this a survivor problem? Killers are really being complained about for doing this?

I am a survivor main and I always pay attention to which gens pop. I have been seeing a lot of survivors lately (for a solid 3 months min) leave our gen once it pops and immediately run to next the closest one. THIS is the problem.

When I am killer, I always try to force the 3 gen. I assumed it was obvious when I walk past them on one gen but keep them off of another. It’s legitimate strategy.

I mean, honestly, I guess instead of complaining and continuing to want matches handed to them, the survivors that are complaining could just counter it by paying attention and using common sense not to do 3 gens right next to one another 🤯

The biggest part that is annoying to me is when we get 3 gen’d and there is always that one survivor that gets butthurt it isn’t an easy match and DC’s.

  • @graveyard_7777 said:

I'd choose old ruin 100% would help with gen rushing

I think killer should now be able to break bones. It still feels really off balance.

  • Boons, Trickster, and BBQ.

All 3 of these are annoying to me and I wouldn’t be sad to see any of them leave the game

  • this made me laugh 👍👍

The looks the snowmen give me when I swing and miss them. They taunt me. (I'm just glad nobody's ever inside when it happens!)

  • As a Jill main and a Nemesis for fun, I have to ask, why do they need to remove the whole ass license because you don’t like the map with Boons on them?

  • And here I am just wanting an option to turn off SWF matches.

It’s infuriating to spend the entire match doing gens and healing the strays that run over to me (while on a gen) teabagging until I stop what I am doing to heal them just so that they can run back over to taunt the killer.

When the fun of taunting the killer and getting hit wears off, the killer then gets ran to me. I get downed and hooked no matter how long I run the killer and left to die on the hook while the SWF wants to teabag at the gate. While not having done a single full gen.

It’s not just killers that hate most SWF, it’s the solo’s that are tired of it too

  • The only thing I found challenging about him was the chains while doing the puzzle. It was maddening trying to do it while being attacked by the chains but I assumed it was punishment for everyone letting the chains activate to begin with. It is shocking to me how many people refuse to do the box and I would usually end up having to be the one to go solve it. That sucks.

Playing him was so fun. It took me time to get his aim right but once I did I would do well with him. It’s like the Huntress, it’s fun to try to get off those impossible shots.

I knew he would get a nerf though because he posed a challenge to some survivors and I guess he was so oppressively OP that they wanted the nerf.

It’s disappointing to me that he was nerfed, both from a killer and survivor standpoint. It was fun going against a good Pinhead.

  • This “killer sided” game will nerf the new killer just as they have every other killer after release.

Your ez’s will return, just give it time.

  • I hate being left to bleed out. I usually crawl to the killer when it’s obvious no one is coming to help. It’s like, if they aren’t coming to get me, they obviously won’t be pulling me so just let me die with some dignity.

  • What boycott?

I follow this forum and one other, I am also I am in several groups and I have never seen anyone mention a boycott.

  • Survivors will downplay the significance Boons have by saying that they take time to place or only have a small area of effect.

In reality, the time it takes to place them is meaningless when there are 2-3 other survivors still doing gens and getting the team objective done.

There isn't much point in playing killer anymore given the current state of the game. I have noticed that getting survivor matches is taking a bit longer than it used to. I think a lot of killers must have thrown their arms up and either quit or switched roles.

  • Ah yes, fighting toxicity with toxicity. Been there.

It sucks to be a killer now. Try playing both roles and you will see what the issues are.

I don't agree with tunneling and face camping, I personally feel like it's a waste of a match but it seems to be the only way most killers can get anything done now without being steamrolled in every single match.

  • Agree that being killer isn't fun anymore.

I haven't played the game since last Thursday. I had just had surgery the day before and was still really tired from the anesthesia.

I chose to play killer so that I wouldn't have anyone relying on me the condition I was in and I didn't plan to take the matches seriously as killer. Just playing for fun.

I was bronze and kept getting 4 man iridescent teams. There is no longer any fun to be had in matches with iridescent players (based on my experience).

Before the update, people would have fun when given the indicators that I wasn't there to win. None of the indicators worked in these last matches I played, they simply didn't care to let me farm too.

In each match the gameplay was very similar. The first 3 gens popped super fast, then they would come find me. I would be flashlight spammed and body blocked when in chase, and they would essentially take turns trying to run me for then BP then take off. They popped the last gens then pallet spam if one was near the exit, then they stand at the gate until the last second ran out.

I purposely never hit anyone in any of these matches but in each match they were all playing as if had been a toxic killer.

In my 5th attempt at a fun match, I dc'd.

I haven't played again since. The game just feels so unbalanced for the first time since EGC. It just isn't fun anymore. Playing solo survivor like I do isn't much better either tbh.

  • Jfc, so back when this was a thing that people cared about and wasn't being used years later to troll on forums, there was FAR less survivors and Claudette was a favorite, she was the easiest to play and learn with. Soooo, wouldn't it make logical sense that the Claudette skin mask would be easier to obtain?

It honestly sounds more ignorant to say, "because Claudette is black, she shouldn't be given a mask" than it does to let her have her moment with the other OG survivors. Wouldn't that single her out to remove her anyway?

I tried to get one back then, I gave up. I can say without a single doubt I knew that when I got one it would be Claudette because she was so popular and you know what, I would've rocked it. NOT because I am racist but because Claudette was my beginner survivor and she holds a special place for me because I learned how to play with her and wearing her mask would be cute imo. Not some gloom and doom bs reason that the OP cooked up in their head to start bs on the forum and feel like their SJW bs would be applauded.

  • Playing both sides, I don't mind it either way. All second chance perks are hated by the other side. It's just a part of the game, if they removed one, it would only be fair to remove them all and so many people would be livid.

As a survivor, Dead Hard has kept me from going down quite a bit, especially on those Bubba radius camped hooks, so it has that going for it. I also have Dead Harded into things right in front of the killer, that's always so embarrassing.

As a killer, I've seen some nice DH plays and I have to give credit where it's due but I have also had people screw themselves with it by DH'ing into stuff too and they had to go down for it.

  • Prestiged all my survivors, not worth it. It's really for the accomplishment.

I seen no benefit in the bloodweb and it took longer to get meta perks to show back up. Wearing the cosmetics seem to make me a target more often too.

  • Is this a troll? I feel like it's a troll.

Have you tried playing killer!? It's almost always a shitshow.

I'd thank a killer before I thank a survivor but maybe I am just jaded from playing way too many solo matches.

As a killer, the level of stress and bs that is endured during a match - no, I wouldn't thank a survivor and wouldn't expect devs to either.

  • I have played 7 matches today so far with zero issues.

The killers aren't camping me or the event gens, and I've smashed many jack-o-lanterns.

I like the event, Blight was getting old.

Survivor already have the equivalent of that perk on multiple of perk.

    DS

    BT

    IW

    DH

    Adreanaline

    Unbreakable

I probably forgot a lot of other second chance perk but they already have it so saying killer is the only one with that kind of thing is kinda biase. Ofc everyone see those perk differently for me noed is a punish to the survivor who focus on gen only so its the best counter to toolbox.

    Agreed ☝🏻

  • @Eeni said:

I can not count the number of times killers have hung around camping players preventing other survivors from helping, knocking everyone down & leaving us to bleed out, and other BS.

If I DC, I get penalized. Why can’t killers also get penalized for their bad behavior?

For the same reason survivors don't get punished for blocking hooks and the killer.

Because devs don't care and everyone feels entitled to play how they want for a game they paid for.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

Neither is getting nerfed anytime soon - and frankly, I find it odd that people are so desperate for the nerfs on these in particular. Tombstones aren't difficult to suss out, and LoS control is nearly entirely under the control of survivors in a regular game.

    Yes!

  • Agree with others about it being Plague, she is a beast with a player that can use her.

Matches with a good Plague put me on the struggle bus.

Was pinhead the only killer you played since you came back?😇

You just have to find fun where you can with this game...this next patch is going to be game breaking in one way or another🤔

Yeah. I tried to play Pig and Huntress but I failed miserably. I did decent with Trapper but he gives no pressure and every match with him I didn't pull out a win until late in the games.

  • The game is already losing killers, now there is very little reason for them to continue playing.

This was the most asinine addition the devs could've added.

As a killer, there is no point in bringing any Hex. Killers now have another objective to contend with that essentially makes survivors invincible.

As a survivor, the tunneling and camping is going to be so much worse just so the killer can attempt one sacrifice.

  • 6 months+

I was a killer main. I was super good at predicting their moves and doing mind games to get them to mess up a loop or 3 gen themselves.

I couldn't take the toxicity anymore. Games was being held hostage and it became so unenjoyable.

Then they released window blocks and EGC so I came back. I played one killer match and switched to survivor. I was a survivor up until Pinhead came out. I started playing killer again because Pinhead is a really fun and I got tired of being a solo survivor going against the killer and my own team.

Honestly, switching roles is a better option than quitting again. I put way too much time and money into the game to just walk away.

  • Blocking a hook. I see that as being more disrespectful than anything else because I do not tunnel or camp, so when I get a down - I deserve my hook. It's happening in every single game now.

Flashlights isn't a big deal, there's a perk counter. It's annoying when it's spammed by multiple survivors at once when no one needs saved.

Teabagging, imo, is usually a bad survivor that got butthurt they was on death hook or they was mad the killer gave them a challenge. No offense taken anymore.

But blocking my hook gives me the right to bust a face on the hook repeatedly.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

Tbags and clicking the flashlight is your definition of toxic behaviour?

Pressing a button is not a toxic behaviour.

No but it's a sign of disrespect 🤷‍♀️

  • It's one of those things you have to learn to ignore tbh.

I take it as a compliment. They got so angry that they had to stand at the gate injured and wait for me to show up just to teabag me as if we both didn't know they was on their death hook and couldn't loop.

In my experience, the survivors that played well leave after the obligatory window/pallet vault to let you know they are escaping.

  • Big changes and most sound great but I'm not fond of the Boon totem.

Killers are already dealing with how fast gens pop while trying to do their objective, now they also have to bust Boon totems? Meh.

Just throwing out there quite a lot of people including myself have started to boycott every Freddy game. Just giving us up to die straight away.

Feel free to join if you think Freddy and all his games are total bull.

Every single match Freddy is wrecking you & everyone you know? Brutal.

It's been said over and over again but I guess saying it again wouldn't hurt: it's the player not the killer. I have went against beast Fred's that had me riding the struggle bus the entire match, then I have went against Fred's that had no idea how to play him and relied heavily on teleport, I have went against Fred's that didn't get a hook for the match, and I have went against Fred's that DC because 1 gen remained and they didn't even get a hit off.

In my experience (and I am a solo survivor) it's usually the new players asking for (or should I rephrase that to demanding) nerfs.

Some players feel they shouldn't be bothered with having to wake up even though it makes the match go a lot smoother. When in chase you won't have to worry about blood pool slowdowns, aura pallets, and so on from being in dream.

A lot of people tend to run when blood starts splattering from the gen. There is an auditory warning when Fred begins to teleport, then a small delay when Freddy starts emerging and it can be quite disorienting to a lot of Freddy players once the animation ends and they are left trying to figure out which way they are facing whille looking for scratches. This leaves plenty of time to creep away as soon as the sound begins. Running does nothing but leave a trail right to the survivor making the match only harder for everyone else when they have to stop gens to go pull you.

Point is Freddy isn't impossible, the person playing the killer might just be good and take more effort to win against. Boycotting something because it's hard for you is just silly, especially when you want everyone to suicide on the hook like, "Freddy is too hard for me, I am gonna tantrum my way on outta here. Solidarity MF"

These cringy do not think, consume posts just keep coming....

Care to elaborate on your profound reply?

  • I'm not defending the FR drop, I am saying people ######### about anything and everything that BHVR posts on Facebook. It's like BHVR posts about the Halloween cosmetics and people in the comments start bitching about how this one time 3 years ago a survivor teabagged them and they hate the game. The frame rate comment was an example for the typical types of comments people leave on the posts - repetitively. If DBD makes people question their existence to that type of rage, idk...maybe there's deeper issues.

It's the fact that there is far more negativity than anything else.

  • @Mekochi said:

To answer you question about harvesting, from what I know, you have to have the challenge to harvest equipped. For example, my friend and I were in the same match and he couldn't harvest, but I could (cuz I had the challenge) It's most likely so randoms don't harvest your plants.

A-ha! Thank you! I went right to finishing my survivor related challenges and didn't start the event ones yet. Super nice to know

  • @PanicSquid said:

The secret to beating Freddy is waking up. Waking up removes the slowdown, the blood snares triggering, slows down the teleport recharge, and doesn't give you the oblivious status effect.

His lunge is the same as all other 115% killers, it just looks weird because he's short and has a short weapon.

So, as a team it is optimal to work in groups with non-synced sleep timers, or blow a gen check from time to time, or wake up at a clock if its nearby.

Exaxtly, when I play Freddy I never see anyone wake up. It's one of those "thats inconvenient for me so I'd rather complain he needs nerfed" types of things imo.

  • Same for me, no prompt but other survivors came up and harvested without issue.

  • Uh oh sounds like someone can't compete with Myers or the Doc 🤷‍♀️

  • I have went against P.H. a lot already and I haven't once had a camper (PS4). Maybe I have been lucky 🤷‍♀️

  • I did lol 😆 she is one of my favorites to play but not go against. A good Pig can end a match pretty quick

  • I agree with a lot of this. If I may add my opinion for conversation :)

Trapper - c tier - *Agree. Pissed he is the only killer/survivor I haven't got the Merciless/adept with. There is no pressure. He isn't fun to play or go against. Wish his traps could be c4 instead. Sticky on the wall and wait for a survivor to run past. I'd even laugh as a survivor if I took c4 to the face.

Wraith - d tier - *Agree. Not impressive. He can be seen easily, he's slow, misses hits, and is used a lot as a tunneler. Wraith could use a rework imo.

Billy - c tier - *Neutral. A good Billy is challenging, a bad Billy is a fast match. Playing Billy is easier than Nurse but still not something I wanna take time to learn.

Nurse - f tier - *Agree-ish. I tried her and okay. She isn't bad but she is definitely the hardest killer imo because of her blinking. I struggled hard with it.

Hag - b tier - *Agree. I was a Hag main for the longest when I was a killer main. When you got a good Hag the match is challenging and fun. I had a lot of fun with her.

Doctor - a tier - *Disagree only because of my survivor main status. I loathe going against Doc. Not because he is hard but because hiding in lockers more frequently, because static requires a mad dash, and because I hate how other survivors on my team never bother to hide and always end up getting sacrificed early on.

Huntress - a+ tier - *Agree 100% Huntress is my favorite.

Myers - c tier - *Oof Disagree. I love playing and going against Myers.

Spirit - b tier - *Agree. I use headphones and get at least 3/4 with her every time. I think she is a must for headphones and that Nurse perk I forget the name of rn. A lot of hate gets thrown at her but she is harder to play than Fred imo and always ends up getting a good outcome. It comes down to predicting survivor movement mostly (again, imo)

Clown - s tier - *Disagree but I never been a big fan since his release. Ad a survivor main, he is annoying to play against.

Legion - d tier - *Agree. Just boring to play and go against.

Plague - f tier - Agree. Outdated, no pressure, no coverage, hit box with the vomit is shameful.

Pallet Freddy - a tier- *Agree Freddy misses some hits though that should never be missed.

Snare Freddy - f tier - * Disagree, I'd go S. Freddy is a beast. I think they checked every box when they reworked Fred and he'll get a solid 3/4 every match.

Bubba - B tier - *Did agree, not anymore because he is being used heavy as a camper lately.

Ghostface - b tier - *I'd put him at D tier, he's a meme and really easy to go against. His Mori is really lame too.

Deathslinger - b tier - *Agree but I enjoy playing him if/when I feel like dealing with being a killer.

Demo - c tier - *Agree but going against a good demo's is really, really fun.

    Oni - f tier - *Agree

Pyramid Head - c tier - *Unfortunately I agree and I am a Silent Hill fan. This was a disappointment.

  • I am a survivor main too. When I play killer for my Rift, I do not play toxic as a killer and I want the same in return. If it isn't given I'll return the toxicity. If someone wants to be disrespectful with the mega boom booms of the pallet vault, I will tunnel them facecamp.

I let anyone playing nice have the match after the jerk(s) is/are dead.

Starting out as a killer main through my first two devotions really jaded me when it comes to toxicity. My 4 devotions as a survivor main and I still refuse to be that survivor.

  • I thought the same thing but when the event is over replacing it with some random lore facts. So much more easier to watch than the other load screen.

I usually stop paying attention when load starts so I don't see what is burned until someone gets Mori'd.

  • @Decarcassor said:

Fundamentaly the Doctor is a basic M1 killer with no mobility. The only reason he is considered better than the likes of the Clown or Cannibal is because he is capable of all the bullcrap you are salty about.

And at the end of the day Doctor is a very solid B+. All his madness shenanigans won't save him against a decent team who isn't scared of repairing generators and make him waste time patroling accross the map and destroying pallets.

    100% agree with this

  • In my experience, it's usually one (sometimes both) survivor(s) that busted their ass to get that win and they don't want to give up because they feel the deserve it more than the other person. I

When this happens to me if I know first hand, without a doubt, the other survivor did nothing to help during the match (I use Bond), I'll run the killer to them after waiting a bit if they don't end up getting caught. Why should they jump the hatch when they squatted from one hiding spot to another the entire match?

If I know the other survivor played a good game in the match by getting to the rescue first, by always seeing them on a gen and etc, I'll take the hook because I'd rather head into another match and know that they deserved it too.

If I am killer and this happens, I'll leave the survivor alone that I seen on gens the most, that evaded me in chase and etc. and I'll go look for the other survivor (which almost always leaves run marks, or quick vaults to give away their location). Of course, there is another instance when one of the two left was being a jerk the match and spamming me with a flashlight when I wasn't even chasing anyone, or will continuously pallet vault for a solid 5 minutes even after I walk away. Then the other person gets the hatch regardless.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

I personally love when a survivor does it cause it just waste there time especially when they follow me and click. What do you guys think about teabagging and clicking?

I find it to be a show of disrespect. "HA! I am better than you". I noticed that the bad survs tend to do it of they are proud of a move they got off. I don't see many good survs do it anymore.

I am a survivor main though but I do like to play a few matches as killer for the daily, Tomb, and when I need a surv break. I don't do it though, even when the killer is being suuuuuper extra

  • I'll say it depends on the player more than the killer. You can give a great killer that is all perked up to a bad player and it won't matter because the player won't come through with a win. Vice versa, you can give a terrible killer to a beast player and that player will still end up being a force to reckon with.

A hard killer for me is Ghostface (when it is a good player). The instadown kicks my butt.

  • Is this confusing?

Let me explain for you, this person made a post bitching about CORN. Who complains about corn?! To further explain, I said nerf the moon because that too, is as idiotic as complaining about corn.

Have I explained it enough now or will you reply with another comment that is as equally irrelevant as your first?

  • But isn't that the point of killers bringing a pink Mori? Green is only one mori'd survivor so, play stealth to not be the mori?

You see what gets burned, play accordingly?

  • You realize this is a post complaining about corn when you made it yeah?

That's it, I am OUTRAGED about the moonlight. Nerf it!!
