That doesn't stop anyone else from using the Key.

But you punished the survivor who brought it. Teach them.

Also, again, if you have 4 survivors who used hatch, they did 5 gens on you anyway without be sacrificed, so you lost even without key. If you had 3 survivors hatch, you probably tunneled one of them and deserved it.

I don't remember the last time I saw a non SWF 3man escape more than 2 people from hatch, and I normally already hooked them twice each so I will still pip.

@TwatLlama If you think so. It gives me more points and you get none and will get banned once the servers come.

I have no problem with that.

But it doesn't give you the satisfaction of the animation.

Perhaps I was too harsh. Down + hook + unhook + tunnel + locker + DS + tunnel + Mori = DC counter

  • I do not see them come up in my web anymore, but I own Pepa, Myers, Bubba, Freddy, and Hag. I bought most of them when DLC was discounted or via shards.

I have personally never seen the Doctor splinter. I have also never seen a splinter appear in my bloodweb for a killer I already own.

  • If you see a key in the lobby, run Franklin's, green Mori and kill the survivor, focus/tunnel the offending survivor as punishment, or deal with it because they can't use it until they complete 5 gens if you haven't managed to kill any of them.

The 60 second window really is entirely too small and makes the perk absolutely useless. Hardly any killer is going to down and hook you again within 60 seconds of being saved from a hook. If you want to make the perk useful again I would suggest idealy removing the window entirely and make it store for when you are next picked up, or at the very least give survivors a 3 minute window. Considering the crazy perks Killers have this isnt much of an ask.

60 seconds is like 1/6th of a full game.

@michaelrandom27 If you call it counter or counterplay it does not matter. To DC is never a counter to anything. And if you think you need to DC to give the last the hatch, because you cannot stand that the killer wants all people.... Maybe you should think of not getting found then.

DC is a counter to Mori

I am a rank 16 survivor. I did make rank 15 then lost four pips in quick succession due to lag, bad mistakes on picking a generator to repair, poor luck at proximity to killer on spawn that sort of thing. With the rank reset I go to 18 and three pips.

With the recent change in matchmaking for SWF groups now based on highest rank, my friend is now a rank 10. As I saw, trying to que with them was guaranteeing me matches with rank 9 killers rank 8 survivors.

I have told the friend I can no longer play SWF with them as it is unfair to them and everyone else. I am hoping with rank resets I might get a few games in with my friend before they get too high a rank again.

Isn't this a prime example of rank working to separate players based on game knowledge/skill? I play red ranks, and whenever I see two yellows in my queue, I know I'm going to have an easy game because I'm up against a non-red ranked killer who simply has no shot. I'll loop him for days, eventually mess up or get unlucky, and get hooked while 3-4 gens are completed.

Lower rank killers mercilessly tunnel, once they have chosen their survivor, they will follow them around the map for the entire game until they get the hook. Hell, I've been camped on hook after a particular match where I looped a Huntress who ran out of axes and never went to reload. By the time I ran out of pallets and she caught up to me with her Bloodlust stacks, all 5 gens were done. She hooked me, camped, and still didn't get more hatchets. I was unhooked, she insta downed me, then tried to rehook, got DS'd, and I escape out the exit gates. I didn't do a single gen and got over 20k blood points, and pipped.

You can't "pick a bad generator to repair" unless you are picking one close to basement or where all pallets have been broken, meaning you can easily not pick that one. When the killer comes to you, that isn't a bad thing, you just have to adjust your play from "I'm going to repair a bunch of gens" to "I'm going to waste as much of this killer's time chasing me as possible while using the fewest amount of pallets I can and not bring the killer to other gens being worked on". That's truly the whole game in a nutshell for survivor.

Once you start getting better, rank reset will mean nothing. You'll have a few random games and be back at your deserved rank.

  • Was just in a game last night where a 3man SWF heard the nurse, rushed her, got insta-downed and DC'd one at a time when being picked up. Less than 3min game. I didn't get hatch, and would have depip'd even if I did.

This doesn't happen with any other killer, and it's because playing against Nurse is un-fun. There are no mechanics beyond LOS.

  • @dfrenchiee said:

Nurse does not need a nerf, especially with the current state of the game. And she is absolutely not a no-skill 4k. She is a very hard killer to get good with, and good survivors can juke her long enough to get the gens done.

A cool down for her power would just ruin her. You should try playing her before you suggest things like this.

I said she is a no skill TWO kill. FOUR kill is for nurses in which survivors rush the hook like idiots.

  • @Financial_Stability said:

You're telling me Nurse has no skill requirement? Come on, you have muscle memory to hard predictions. A Nurse who can't make predictions isn't a very good one. As for the mechanic of blinking, you can't say she's easy. Don't be disingenuous with sweeping statements.

Where exactly did I say she was easy, I am saying that if you take a prime survivor versus a "decent" nurse, she is unjukeable. Only gameplay is line of sight (where prediction is necessary, any time you see the survivor, there is no need for prediction).

  • Base nurse is not "fine", she ignores almost all map mechanics, with LOS being the only gameplay against her. If she is decent, she is unjukeable; you can watch an OhTofu video where he plays her with no perks and no addons, and just massacres the map.

  • She would become an M1 killer while abilities are on cooldown, just like spirit, yes.

It is important to return pallet and window play, as Nurse is the only killer that completely ignores these mechanics in the game. She also ignores elevation; such as having to go around to where there is a ledge or blinking straight to the top of Thompson's house.
