I agree that his initial turn rate when in overdrive is what makes him extremely deadly, however giving overheat when within 12m of a hook would be too much considering how many hooks are on maps now
-
Forgot to add, not sure how I feel about Twins being punished for using their power correctly and getting downs with Victor
-
I'm really excited to try out Zanshin Tactics and Deathbound

You're missing the point. You can down Adam, but you can't really capitalize on it outside of leaving him on the floor. Meanwhile, the entire time, Meg is running away, possibly finding a strong pallet or window, or even just w-keying--- either way, the chase has been lengthened.
Yes, you can slug Adam and someone will eventually have to pick him up. That's why DS-UB used to be meta and is still extremely strong.
I mean this is a survivor missplay imo. Adam comes over for the bodyblock while I'm chasing meg, he takes two hits and is slugged, i now continue my chase with meg. This scenario now means someone has to come save Adam. In doing so I now have THREE survivors not on gens. Had Adam unhooked himself with deliverance and run straight to a gen three survivors would all be doing gens. Herein lies the problem with anti-tunnel perks. If the survivor wants to get value out of them from a killer that doesn't tunnel, it forces them to play into the killers hand
If adam also has UB, then I still have two survivors off of gens, when Adam could've run to a gen and i would be facing three survivors on gens again

I-Isn't that the whole point? It's insurance. It's there in case you need it, while also serving as a deterrent for killers to tunnel.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3794927#Comment_3794927
You misunderstood the point entirely. Adam unhooks with Deli while Trapper is chasing Meg. Adam runs to Meg and Trapper, and starts bodyblocking/tanking hits because he is perfectly fine; he still has his anti tunnel defenses that allow him to play aggressively and help his team.
THAT is aggressive use of anti tunnel perks.
Of course, anti tunnel is indeed there for insurance. In this scenario you describe what is preventing me from hitting Adam and continuing with my chase on Meg? If i know Adam was just unhooked and hasn't healed or touched a gen then of course he has anti-tunnel perks

so if a survivor uses Deli to unhook themselves and force a chase while i'm actively going for their teammate, tanks a hit with OTR and eventually forces a down, killer is tunneling? Thanks for showing absolutely 0 knowledge of what aggressive usage of anti-tunneling perks is.
Why would the killer be required to go for the person that used Deliverance? Half the time deliverance is used the killer is already patrolling gens and found another target. You keep saying "aggressive use" of anti- tunneling. If a killer isn't gonna tunnel they aren't gonna tunnel

i am literally talking about usage when killer doesn't tunnel, where has reading comprehension gone?
And I'm making the point that this perk is terrible if all the killer doesn't do tunnel

if you have good map awareness and know where to lead your chases, this perk is S-tier.
Okay but what if the killer doesn't tunnel?

have you ever seen a proper aggressive use of DS? "Just don't tunnel" argument for anti-tunneling perks is so 2020., they are literally meta at all skill levels, even at those where tunneling is barely present due to power of their aggressive usage.
Do you mean by the person with DS bodyblocking? Plenty of times, still doesn't mean i think the perk is that good anymore

DS is literally used in pair with OTR, and even after conspicuous actions introduced, that duo is one of the strongest in the game.
And how bad do you actually use it when you get only 8s of benefit lol
I mean all you have to do is not tunnel, and you won't be affected by either of those things, also in regards to being bad when using DS, idk ask my teammates who i have seen use it and then go down instantly

Encourages tunnelling, removes important early game pressure from killers that need it, and is just too strong in general.

It's basically a 5th survivor coming out of nowhere to get the save, with nobody having to get off gens or trade hook.
The tradeoff is you have no guarantee of it actually proccing, and then are afflicted with broken. It is straight awful in solo q as you can't communicate with your teammates that you have it, and if you are running it in a swf then you can make the argument that a lot of niche perks are way stronger. I think Deliverance is balanced out by its very feast or famine affect.
-
I'm pretty sure Hens and his squad almost got to 200 wins in a row, so yeah in high mmr some teams are gonna be over 48% escape, just as many are gonna be below
-
What's wrong with deliverance?
-
Ever since they added conspicuous actions, you can't really use DS offensively now. Like you said there are perks like OTR now, so I imagine that's why you just don't see it as much. Also if a killer wants to tunnel DS isn't going to do anything but buy you like 8 seconds with how fast the stun timer is

Has anyone gotten an IRI Gatekeep score lately? I can't seem to get it no matter what I do. I've had a match that last >9 minutes without a gen being completed and ended in a 4K.

The survivors did not complete 1 gen this game but I only received +28 Gatekeeper points for having the exit gates closed. This is the second game it happened.

They'd have announced it on the roadmap. No point in a roadmap if it has surprise changes.
TBF they have changed the roadmap before so I can still believe
-
Reading these comments makes me very sad we never got a Trickster map, as the city background for that chapter looked AMAZING
-
Whenever I play against a legacy player I check their steam achievements to see if they actually played back in 2016, as we all know hackers like to use legacy
-
Why is everyone surprised that they are removing bugtech lmao
-
Try running the game in dx11 mode with the -dx11 launch option
-
I'm high on copium that the Freddy rework will come this mid chapter, but I'm also prepared for disappointment
-
Imo the old rank system was superior to the current mmr. The worst thing about the current system is killers sharing mmr within a certain range, so if you play a killer you have never used before you will still be put in tough lobbies right away
-
Even pinhead got his summoned chain fov fixed faster and that took months as well, very sad :(
-
I mean it makes sense when you think about it. DBD killers can be divided up into two categories, map pressure/slowdown, and anti-loop. From what I have seen most survivors tend to prefer facing against killers with anti-loop like nemesis rather than killers with map control like Skull Merchant. This leads to what I'm going to assume is why BHVR tends to make a lot of killers nowadays based around chase rather than map control
-
I really like it as well!
Also he is bugged against Ghostface, if you turn your cloak to face him he can't stalk you, so he is also pay to win in that regard!

I honestly expect them to do Myers first, like literally, its been 5+ years since he has seen any significant adjustment. He has been the weakest killer since 2018. The only reason people putting him not at the bottom of a tierlist is literally tombstone piece
Freddy is confirmed to be getting an update first, he is the worst killer in the game right now so that makes sense.
-
Yup noticed this happening to me as well
-
Honestly I'd just say slowdown builds on poor chase killers, and aura builds on good chase killers seems to be what I face in most of my survivor matches

There are over 700,000 players in this game. I can’t really see a single player blocking enough people to seriously affect their opponent prospects. Other PvP games (some with fewer players) don’t have an issue with allowing players to block one another.
This would be abused so badly, terrible idea
-
Why wasn't the downed person crawling away from the hook? This isn't the game's mechanics fault, this is a failure of a survivor play
-
I think he is alright, but then again literally no one has been playing him so I have very little practice as survivor vs me playing as him
-
No, but also at least back up your argument
-
Haha I just assumed you hit post before you were ready lmao, @topic I think increasing the base teleportation range would be nice
-
Ah yes very interesting paragraph you have written

The best part about light born? It's free for everyone who owns the game

Wouldnt that just like reverse the Twins’ buff? The problem with them before their first nerf was that basically you could slug the whole team with Victor. Lol
And this is exactly why Twins was never a good idea in the first place lmao
-
I haven't noticed anything personally but its DBD so I'm not surprised. I'm gonna ask the obvious question here and assume you ARE on an ssd and not a hard drive?
-
The call it bugtech for a reason, I 100% expect it to be removed

- Skull Merchant will get nerfed even tho imo she don't deserve this and she isn't even a strong killer, but she is still number 1 hated killer since her realese and people just have PTSD from her and dislike just her existing alone no metter her power, they will probably overkill her until further rework next year so people will stop quiting againts her.
- Unknown will probably get some small buff(s)
- Idk the rest.
Yeah SM is pretty mid and I don't think she deserves the nerfs she is about to get. I am surprised you think Unknown is gonna get buffs though. He is pretty strong as is, I suspect it might be a nerf if anything even though I think they should leave Unknown as is and neither buff or nerf
-
I don't agree with a mode on bringing back the busted perks, but a mode that lets you play on pre graphics overhauled maps? Yes please
-
Survivors understand if they pick boil over and go to a place the killer can't hook that they will be slugged, not your fault at all
-
When working with anything licensed you have to work within the constrains of the license holder. It is quite possible bhvr wanted to do more but were limited by what Konami wanted
-
Bonuses are determined by region AND mmr. It seems weird to make assumptions on one player's own personal account
-
I would be absolutely SHOCKED if tombstone piece isn't changed. This isn't 2016 DBD anymore, instakill addons shouldn't be a thing
-
I don't even know how to describe why, but I really dislike facing Knights
-
If you want to stop proxy camping you would need to have a mechanic like in 2v8 that teleports the hooks. That being said there is nothing wrong with proxy camping
-
I still think it's too early to say. While it doesn't affect killers who don't camp, it does inadvertently hurt killers by giving survivors more time to spend on gens instead of running for the unhook. While 10 extra seconds isn't a lot, that does add up over multiple gens
-
I'm not a huge fan of perks that affect movement speed, I think buffing the active time of the original effect to say 30 seconds would be a better buff that might make certain deception builds work well.
If you're proposed rework gave exhaustion as well then I think that would be better
-
As someone with P100 survivors and killers I think both are lame
