Revert the stun time and DS will be a good perk again.
Nothing else about it needs to change.
-
If losing a rank is impossible no matter how many -1's you get, losing pips serve no purpose other than to upset the people playing.
It should not be a thing.
-
Ok, but how can the game tell the difference?
You can give all sorts of what ifs but the game can't even tell when Wesker hits a solid wall half the time, how the hell do you expect it to know when survivors are legitimately unable to do anything?
-
If that's the concept of the game, then to be honest it's kind of an awful concept.
Your likelihood of winning if you do absolutely nothing to help the team basically boils down to whether the killer is going to find you first or not. And admittingly if you're actively avoiding generators or hiding then yeah, it's unlikely the killer will find you, barring things like information perks or other things killers may have to find or otherwise catch you.
But when everyone else is dead it's no longer out surviving the other players. It's hoping you find the hatch before they do.
And if you brought an offering? Any half brain dead killer will know exactly where to look.
Assuming they don't just try to slug for the 4k of course, but even that changes to the above situation eventually.
-
Don't want to comment on anything else, but this
"While we’re at it, NOBODY remaining in the lobby should be able to depip, it should be an automatic safety pip ideally with some sort of incentive."
Along with De-pip, people Disconnecting because someone else disconnected should generally not be punished either. No sane person is going to argue that you can win 3v1 at five gens and to be at the killers mercy in that situation isn't fun for anyone.
-
So I'm going to point out that, yes there are games with Crossplay with Sony and other systems PC included.
I said it was difficult, not impossible.
I'll give a friendly reminder that Epic Games had to pull teeth to get Cross Save across all platforms for Fortnite because Sony is absurdly stupid on this.
-
I do feel that the buffs were intended to make something other than picking a 3 gen and refusing to leave it viable.
Not that I disagree, people will 3 gen no matter what happens but if I had an option I'd try to do something fun unless it looked like steering people to a 3 gen situation is the only chance I have (I'm not going to bother defending the gen on the other side of the map when there's no other reason to be there, after all).
Honestly the killer should just be scrapped entirely and the next three weeks should be spent fixing bugs, buffing bad perks, and making CoH tolerable.
-
Leader definitely needs a buff for something to get the most value by doing the dumbest thing possible at any given moment (grouping up) but making the one survivor perk that has no real counter stronger is not it.
-
I don't think you're wrong, Hag is definitely down there. Her strength lies in being able to abandon bad chases to start new ones instantly and zoning, but she has to set them up first which is just the death knell in pretty much any killers kit.
The people sending you hate mail is stupid though. I just laugh at people that can't be bothered to crouch walk.
-
There are so many killers that are awful to play against.
Myers is not one of them.
Learn to look for him more.
-
CoH is broken as is, why make it worse?
-
Bare minimum, Scourge hooks should be picked one by one and choose a different random hook if an "adjacent" hook is already scourge, only picking an adjacent hook if it's literally impossible otherwise. That way you'll have at least one hook that you can use in any given game.
-
"this could be solved if hook progression would pause after the killer has been in close proximity for too long."
Well now survivors are going to do everything they can to keep the killer in said proximity while the other two do generators.
-
Actually they announced that they would eventually have cross progression on Switch.
Despite this being announced years ago, there is currently no cross progression on switch.
This is an especially massive gut punch for me because I bought the Switch version for the sole purpose of playing elsewhere with my progress.
On topic, as mentioned before Cross Progression is something that's simply not in their hands. I don't know about Nintendo and Microsoft, but Sony has a history of insisting their console is the master race and that if they play with other consoles than their consoles are at risk at getting robot Aids or something.
No excuse for Steam Deck though, really should have been a thing by now.
-
People give me ######### because they see me prepping chests to open later for green med kits. I don't need the game itself to punish me because I'm somehow in a bad spot near the killer yet somehow evading them several times before I can find a gen on top of that.
-
Literally hours wasted because people want to snap their carrots instead of getting on to the next game.
Why waste the time of another person for the sole purpose of rubbing your win in their face.
-
Here's what you do.
Place a drone on the most easy to defend 3 gen possible.
Do not leave the 3 gen.
Any SWF you come across will literally throw themselves at you to die just to not deal with it anymore.

I am absolutely not excusing BM. If somebody behaves bad, it speaks about them. And some people don't need any reason to be mean.
What strikes me as weird though is, that you said survivors tbag you every single game. This means you are either very unlucky for particularly horrific people, or it means that you are doing something that encourages BM towards you.
I don't believe in consistent bad luck. So my explenations are a, you are toxic at them too b, you play in a very unfun way which probably triggers people way more (perhaps you like insidious basement bubba?) c, you play on server where this is culturally more acceptable d, you overstate how often it happens e, something else I did not realize.
Take anything you want from it. Basically my point was, that even though I do experience the same, it is by huge margin not as bad as it is for you. So maybe you yourself can do something to reduce it (reduce does not mean fully wipe out) if it bothers you.
It really seems like you're defending it because you just assume I initiate the bad behavior first.
I won't deny the possibility of exaggeration, but it happens often enough that literal hours of my time has been wasted over the need to snap a carrot over a ######### video game.
As for things I do to reduce it? I just disconnect because I'm not tolerating it anymore.
-
I just think it would be a nice QoL change.
Quite frankly I WISH this was the biggest problem in the game.
-
Doesn't purchasing a perk in the shrine just make it behave like a universal perk?
Or is there something I'm missing?
Or do you mean being able to buy perk tiers?
-
"only 2 or 3 games and you will always win."
So what you're saying is you've never actually played Nurse?
-
It's funny that you accuse me of being the prick first.
I play one game a day per side because it gets ridiculous how stupid this is.
Today I played Doctor on Garden of Joy. Everyone escaped. The one person in their exit gate left shortly after I chased them to it. The three in the other was waiting for me to check on them for the ass dance.
Yesterday I played Nemesis on Cow Shed. I got two kills. The other two were waiting in the exit gate. Take a guess why.
The day before I played Legion on the Chapel. 4k.
The day before I played Wesker on Cornfield. I got one kill because of poor play at the EGC. The three left wasted as much of my time as possible with their ass dance, and in the chat told me to kill myself.
Please tell me what I could have possibly done to justify being told "You know what would make a good necklace? A nice, tight rope."
-
They had this. Then it was nerfed to what it is now.
Hell no. I never again want to have a game where Trapper's ability is rendered useless with a push of the E button.
-
It's not even the tea bagging alone, it's the fact that Survivors will do it for the entirety of the EGC every. Single. Time.
There has not been a single game for months where at least one survivor got into a gate when I wasn't letting them go because of an early DC that my time wasn't wasted for at least 30 seconds.
Literal hours has been spent waiting for the next game because the term "Graceful Winner" doesn't mean a ######### thing.
Stop defending behavior where people are being pricks.
-
"I suggest DH should mainly be used for survivors to reach a window/pallet or reposition themselves in chase, rather than gambling to dodge killer M1."
This was what it originally was.
It sucked.
It sucked for a damn reason.
I'd rather keep chasing because I was outplayed than keep chasing because I can go ######### myself.

It can be a pain but just got and hit ‘em. They usually run out because they don’t want to run the risk of being hooked.
I have yet to hear someone convince me that this is my job somehow.
-
That's more or less my point. The bare minimum it should be is what it was pre-buff, when people rarely used it.
As is, it's going to be worthless for all but like, one or two killers, and even then they have better options.
-
Don't make slugging you the only option if you don't like being slugged mate.
-
Honestly, Eruption should just take away the inability to do anything for most of the cooldown. If either that was taken or the cooldown was, I Don't know, Doubled? Then it wouldn't be nearly as bad.
But BHVR prefers to either make things so overpowered that it's not funny, or nerf something so hard it's never used again.
And I mean hey, what was it before it was buffed? Incapacitated for 16 seconds? Maybe find a middle ground if it was previously too weak to be used? At least don't make it worse than it was before it was buffed for the love of christ.
-
Dead Hard already got a nerf and outside of VERY SPECIFIC KILLERS can generally be played around.
Adrenaline is a perk that has no value unless you last to the end of the game, so it has to be powerful.
Nerf something that actually appears in almost every game like CoH.
-
Yeah, encourage game companies to abuse FOMO.
That's a sane thing to do.
-
I'm sorry, are you actually comparing people who actually get sick from the awful FoV to "I don't like that this thing relevant to the genre is in this, GET RID OF IT"?
Even Plastic Man can't make that massive of a stretch.
-
No, I didn't look at your survivor example and go "Well they're doing it so their teammate has a chance to get out", noticed it wasn't what I was talking about, and immediately disregarded it, and I also didn't look at your killer example and go "Killer slugging is more difficult to determine with an AI system", noticed it wasn't what I was talking about, and immediately disregarded it either.
However, after genuinely reading them (and definitely for the first time) I've come to the following conclusion.
My stance does not change on this. If you think it's ok to waste 2 or 4 minutes of my life because you want to snap a carrot over your win, then you're kind of awful and need to grow up.
On a side note, "does it really bother you that much that player on the other side is clicking single button on his keyboard for a few seconds?" made me laugh because everyone knows they don't push a single button "for a few seconds".
Also the fact that you felt a need to defend yourself from something I never accused you of is really telling. No wonder you're defending this behavior.
-
No, I didn't look at your survivor example and go "Well that's someone that's trying to be a distraction so their friend has a chance to get out" and immediately disregard it because it's not what I'm talking about and I also didn't look at your killer example and go "Well Killers slugging to be rude isn't nearly as easy for an AI to determine and thus would need more effort, and it's also not the subject of what I'm talking about" and immediately disregarded it.
However, I have decided to look at the examples and have come to the following conclusion.
My stance does not change on this. If you think it's ok to waste 2 or 4 minutes of my life because you want to snap a carrot over your win, then you're kind of awful and need to grow up.
Side note. "does it really bother you that much that player on the other side is clicking single button on his keyboard for a few seconds?" made me laugh pretty hard. Everyone knows they don't click a single button on the keyboard "for a few seconds".
-
"But it's hard to programmatically distinguish it from some legitimate play."
There is literally a perk that detects and shows you if survivors are inside either gate area.
It is not unreasonable to think a button you can push if everyone is in either gate to just end the game is possible.
It seems ridiculous to punish me because I don't want to deal with it.
My stance does not change on this. If you think it's ok to waste 2 or 4 minutes of my life because you want to snap a carrot over your win, then you're kind of awful and need to grow up.
-
"i can only imagine how upset you get at halo and gears of war."
I don't get upset in FPS games because someone that's taunting you runs the risk of being shot dead on the spot.
Them doing it also doesn't waste my time, I'm spending whatever seconds respawning whether they tea-bag or not.
But somehow in this game it's my job to force people out and get called a noob because I'm trying a new killer out for the first time, how dare I.
Stop defending awful behavior.
And at this point the hostility is ######### warranted, seeing as how this is a daily occurrence.
-
Why is that my job?
-
If a killer refuses to kill me for four minutes, I do the same thing I do when survivors refuse to leave without wasting two minutes of my life.
I disconnect.
I can at least understand the penalty for that because it may be difficult for an AI to see when that's an unwinnable scenario, but EGC? No excuse.
-
@CBT137 said:
Then you know, go to the gate and do this thing called uh, being a killer and trying to kill them?
Oh man, how did I not think of that?
Yeah I'll just try to win in what is basically an unwinnable scenario.
Are you unaware as to why they're doing that in the first place or something?
-
Freddy sucks enough, why do you want anyone who plays him to suffer?
-
My computer runs the game just fine and I still got it.
I was lucky that switching between the two got rid of it that time, but who knows how lucky I'll be the next time it happens.
-
So because people don't play the killer it's not a problem?
Seems like a really dumb reason to me.
And for a rare bug, it sure did pop up the only time I played Twins.
-
Literally just got this issue.
This is getting dumb.

Lol you know that one guy in your gaming group who takes it too seriously and is no fun to game with. That’s this guy.
I'm literally quoting a guy who spouted a meme with his insane "Hacking Sekiro to be easier is cheating" bullshit.
This is what OP sounds like to me.

I've just got to check that you did reply to the support email they wanted you to as well, right? Because I know people who wouldn't.
I would reply to it if they would send it to me.
I've searched Dead by Daylight, BHVR, and I checked the junk folder.
Nothing.

@bm33 said:
If you still haven't received your shards you should send a ticket to support.
I've done that.
They won't look into it til I respond to an email they've sent me.
I'm now waiting on that.
This feels like a lost cause and I'm pretty sure they should not have even bothered saying anything.
-
"Kinda projecting on that last bit, man."
I'm not gonna lie and pretend I'm not. But I've forced myself to play only one game per side because I'm so tired of survivor mains and their bullshit.
Today was the only exception for a month because I saw someone get the Adept Dredge achievement and thought it was fixed and wanted to get it myself. And out of the five games I played as killer today, not one of them had less than half the group being dipshits, up to and including the game I DC'd from because I don't want to see the ass dance for the millionth time and have better things to do with my time.
Even the match where I got a 4 Iri game had two pricks that seemed to have an inner need to spam CTRL any time they threw down a pallet or vaulted a window, like it's something to be proud of.
So yeah, I'm projecting, but from what I've seen there's a greater than 50% chance that I'm not wrong.
And the worst part is I STILL didn't get the Adept achievement after two perfect games so far.
-
I've been disconnecting because I'm sick and tired of Survivors that want to show me the ass dance.
It wasn't funny the first time I've seen it.
It's not going to magically be funny the millionth time.
I'll be happy to make you leave, knowing that after my 5 minutes of waiting, I'm STILL going to be in a game before you are.
-
I'm sorry, after seeing game after game after game of being taunted by people in the gate, anytime I miss an attack of some sort, or just straight up every pallet slam, I can't bring myself to care when a killer decides they want to ruin someone's day.
"i had to watch as he failed to hear hatch so he gave up and hooked me when it was right by him... just for him to instantly go close it at end game."
So he hooked you and then went to close the hatch later? What next, am I going to be toxic cause I pulled your tea-bagging ass out of the gate and NOED'd you to the floor?
-
You cheated not only the game, but yourself. You didn't grow. You didn't improve. You took a shortcut and gained nothing. You experienced a hollow victory. Nothing was risked and nothing was gained. It's sad that you don't know the difference.
