I'm loving it personally. They're my second and third favorite killers to verse.

Hackers are fairly common for me.
And the majority of them just end games one way or another. It's very very rare they intentionally keep people hostage/prevent the game from ending to try and force DCs.
-
Absolutely not to the free disconnect. Just take the DC penalty. Games with hackers are not anywhere near that common if you aren't exceedingly high MMR/a streamer being specifically targeted via stuff like automated streamsniping tools.
The fourth idea would be abused to hell by people queued together. Every single person in the party should get the DC penalty,

It is the kanji for 'curse'.

Not a bug. If you hit second stage in the attempt process, you have taken 2 hook states.

Explain to me how they are balanced?
Because they perform roughly at 2K at high levels of play against equally skilled opponents. And their gameplay revolves around making and countering mindgames, which is the epitome of skill expression. It’s not “I win or lose this chase” based off mechanical limits. It’s “I win or lose this chase because I made the right or wrong mindgame/read.”
-
You should evaluate your own gameplay before criticizing others.

Then take a break, play with friends, or play killer.

Nurse/Blight,while others could use some buffs.
Nurse and Blight are the two best balanced/designed killers in the game lol. And the vast majority of the rest of these are completely unnecessary.

You should just make it so that when the killer is in a chase, it doesn't pause it. Simple.
That still punishes camping when it’s stupid to not camp. Like hooking someone by an important gen/there being multiple survivors near which means starting chase with anyone gives another the free unhook/someone about to hit second or die/endgame/gaining or regaining pressure when behind/etc.
-
No. This exact idea was tested and scrapped for being abusable. Even without someone abusing it via chase, it’s stupid to punish the killer for camping in a situation it would be stupid to not camp. Eg, hooked next to important gen/multiple survivors near which means chasing one is equal to giving a free unhook to another/about to hit second stage or die/endgame/gaining or regaining pressure in a behind situation/etc.

Of all the techs Blight has, why get rid of hug tech? That's actual skill which uses the physics of the game and the killer, unlike the flick tech which lets you attack in directions he's literally not supposed to be able to.

Because you aren't invincible while vaulting nor are you supposed to be. An arm and a weapon can reach through a window y'know.

I don’t think people realize almost everything done with hug tech can also be done with scoot sliding, which has been explicitly confirmed as an intentional and approved mechanic.

You mean, the politicians he said:
Even if there were candidates who had better things to say to the LGBT community directly, and bigger promises to make, I believed that their stances on other issues would have ended up doing much greater harm to those communities than good.

Anytime someone does this, the forum explodes and gets closed due to chaotic comments.
I rather hear people complain back and forth about Springtrap fitting in the game or Springtrap does not fit then bringing that stuff up all the time.
Scott donated to charities which then someone leaked the donation information on Twitter for "Laughs and giggles". Not going to agree with what he had done but the man had been DDOS a couple of times while having death threats sent to him and his family. I am not gonna bring up information since people can just search it themselves and do the research before jumping the gun.
Scott retired and is giving the IP to someone else. All he can really do is just give suggestions or opinions for the future of the franchise to the new owner.
Overall can we just get back to saying Springtrap is too Kiddish or FNAF has dark lore?
"leaked the donation information" You mean, the information literally required by federal law in the U.S. to be publicly available information?

Most games don't allow Terrible game play mechanics, most games also punish doing things like team killing 🤷♂️ eventually not having a DC penalty will balance out the game to where everyone can have fun without having to waste their time
You could try not being a selfish person that ruins the game for 4 other people.

Again basically behaviors fault for allowing Terrible gameplay that only 1/5 of the players in match enjoy i.e. camping hooks, it's basically social conditioning, and when 1/5th of a match can ruin the game in 87 different ways for everyone else there should not be a DC penalty, and almost every reason everyone is saying someone dc's is behaviors fault. If a killer proxies all game there should be a huge blood point penalty at least like 6 hook states? Yeah 1200 bp the dude just ruined the match everyone sat on a generator or hook all game. Frickin mechanic simulator but worse
sounds like a you problem, get over it.

@Tylerja1 said:
For the record if you tunnel me out until death there's a 50/50 chance I'll DC well before you get to the hook for number 3. I don't care enough to not Dc, because they get less points. Behavior doesn't punish that kind of gameplay so we should be able to it's as simple as that.
Behavior doesn't punish it because it's literally a strategy they intend killers to use. DCing is punished because that's against the rules and you're being selfish and screwing over the game for your teammates. Grow up and be a better person.

Camping and tunneling are explicitly acknowledged and supported strategies by BHVR that this game is balanced around. Get over it.

the part he says that’s working as intended is how blight fits through doorways, you can pause and look down after a rush to fit in through doorways but if you looking down before a rush or after a rush to avoid collision that part is a bug
Looking down/angled after the rush to avoid collision isn't a bug. That's scoot sliding, which McLean explicitly addressed. Hug tech is starting "hugging" the surface to avoid collision.

You DCing actively ruins others' games.
-
Man, people will really out themselves of their own volition, huh.
-
Nah, you should be required to "waste" your time with "a killer trying to tunnel us out for 5 minutes while our teammates get 2 gens done".
None of that is against the rules, and tunneling is explicitly supported gameplay by BHVR that this game is balanced around. Stop being selfish and trying to screw your teammates over cause you don't like how someone else plays in a perfectly acceptable manner within the rules and normal gameplay.
If you can't handle playing, then don't queue up if you're going to ruin it for the other players. Your standards of a perfect game are irrelevant. Other people are not obligated to follow your arbitrary whims.

that's true, i just don't think it's that vital of a blight mechanic to justify it staying in the game, he'll do fine without it
I disagree with that personally, I think it adds a lot of depth because it allows for mindgaming. If a Blight can only use bump logic, some things will just guaranteed always work against him, and I don't think guaranteed hard counters for either side are good design. Mindgaming allows for the better player to make the better read, and thus get the successful result.

Ok. How many hug tech blights have you played against in your last 50 games? One? Two?
How big of a problem is this really? Almost not at all.
If people want his bugs removed, then BHVR will need to go and actually add collision to half the crap in the game you magically slide off. Something tells me they are not going to do that.
Being able to slide off of objects is intentional as said by McLean anyways. Just not removing collision by standing right beside it at the start.
-

you're pushing yourself against a wall and pressing a button, not exactly a hard tech to learn
Not agreeing or disagreeing with you, but by that standard, looping is just "going to windows/pallets and pressing a button". That's boiling it down a bit too much.
-
Man, there's really people out there that somehow think donations to a politician has the same impact donating to charity/support networks does, huh? I wonder which one is the one that has the legal power to create legislation. Those darn people biased over... uh, human rights. Yeah, screw 'em.
-
Spear tech...? You mean a 90 flick? Also McLean still made sliding intentionally, just not avoiding collision by pre-emptively being against the object. Rushing at an object into a slide is intentional.

I’ve never seen a guide on how to counter hug tech so please feel free to link a guide/example.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3DdUQrJoU0 (The Blight in this clip isn't good, but the streamer here talks about how to mindgame the hug tech at shack, but this exact same general logic works at other tiles). Basically, if you know you are in an area that can be hug teched around, then it becomes a mindgame of which path to loop it. For instance in this example, if the streamer went around and then through the window, the Blight would bounce off the door edge and hug around to the window. So he as the survivor would run in, towards the window, and then not vault it/head towards the pallet and out towards the right or so. Then, if the Blight made the wrong read, he hugs around the shack to nothing. Conversely, if the Blight didn't think he'd go for the vault and would fake it, he'd instead rush THROUGH the doorway. Which in this case, if the Steve did vault it, the Steve would have been out of his attack range through the window.
This works on other tiles as well. For instance, with a LT wall, a Blight might try and hug the bottom part of the "L" shape to try and catch you around the opposite side of the window. This leads into the second method to counter it when there isn't a solid "divide" (eg, the outside wall of shack). For example with the LT wall, Blight hugs around the bottom part of the L to try and hit you at the window. To be able to hit you at that window, he would rush facing towards the 'top' of the L, so that he himself goes to the right, but he is looking straight ahead. Then, he would do 90 flick to the left to swing towards the window.
So, in this example, you (and the Blight) has two main options. One, he hugs around the L/you think he will hug around the L. Two, he ignores the L entirely and bounces off the bottom part of the T to then rush again to try and hit you at the L or T window (bump logic). If you think he's going to go for bump logic, you just take the vault using that extra time difference, and now he'd have to multi-bump again to get you at the other side of the window where he first started. If you think he's going to go for a hug, you instead get to a point where he loses LOS, and then go the other direction.
The reason this works is because if he wants to hit you in time (if you DID take the vault), he'd have to start the swing basically the second he turns the tip of the bottom part of the L. Otherwise, the vault will usually finish in time, ESPECIALLY if it's a fast vault. So now his Rush momentum is essentially stopgated into his swing. Meaning, the extent of his attack range in this instance is as far as a Lethal Rush swing (a few meters). He also doesn't have the LOS for sure to see which option you took, and he can't wait for the vault sound either cause by then, you'd be out of his swing range even through the window. So, after you turn that corner and thus break his LOS on you, you turn instead away completely from the L and head towards the T. If you do this smoothly in one motion after you break his LOS, by the time he's around the L and swinging, you're too far for him to hit you even if he adjusts, because he already started losing momentum the second he went into his swing.
Crappy MS Paint, but as a visual guide. The red is the Blight's initial path. The orange shows the main paths he can take. The green is the Survivor's initial path. The blue shows the paths the Survivor can take. For the Blight to hit the survivor in time at the window, he has to start the swing where the red becomes orange (right at the end of the L). If the survivor fakes it out and Blight didn't make the read correctly, by the time he tries to adjust the swing, the survivor is out of his actual lunge range because starting an attack sharply and very quickly reduces Blight's momentum down (compared to continuing to just Rush). Feel free to ask if you want any more help/tile-specific guides/etc. I'd genuinely love to offer help.

Both speed add-ons make it pretty impossible to react to flicks so I don't think they should stack.

You aren’t supposed to react to it. You’re supposed to mindgame it so he can’t flick you to begin with.

Just hoping it gets looked into cause it can make some tiles and loops completely useless in a chase.
If you peel off from the loop correctly, he can’t hit you. It’s a mindgame. Whoever makes the right read wins that attempt. If you think he’ll go for bump logic, position yourself to make it difficult for where you think he’ll come from. If you think he’s going for a slide, peel away from the loop at correct place/angle to prevent him from being in range with a swing. Also recognizing what’s able to be slid on and what isn’t, and positioning yourself in locations where sliding wouldn’t reach you. There’s lots of videos online you can look up to see how good players play against Blight and mindgame him back successfully.
-
BHVR probably wouldn't do an FNAF chapter anyways. It would be hypocritical of them to do that, especially after their talks about supporting inclusivity for LGBT+. And Scott wasn't interested in further projects either prior to his retiring. So it's not that likely he would accept it either.

And if you do blight can flick up to 180 degrees, you’re almost guaranteed to get hit by a good blight no matter what you do.
The only way to flick 180 is to have already pre-turned 90 degrees. Peel AWAY from the loop. As in, leave early but after he starts the Rush. 180 doesn't help if you're completely out of his swing range. There's only certain trajectories he can take while hugging. It's a mindgame. If you think Blight is going to go for a slide, then don't hug the loop. If you think they're going to go for bump logic, place yourself in a way that makes it difficult to get a path. Everything Blight does can be mindgamed.

If you’re playing Blight with Alch right and have decent knowledge on the killer:
- Safe loops won’t exist because he can slide around them (aka hug tech) and this goes for most maps
- You’ll find COH faster than other killers since you’ll be zooming around the map
- dead hard doesn’t work 90% of the time the way you want it too and a good blight can actually bait it out with a rush
Alch Ring is busted, but you can counter hug tech by just not hugging the loop. Peel off of it.
