Killer pair I like to see in Future 2v8
- Nightmare & Dredge
- Child’s Play & Twins
- Krause & Onryō

Literally not happening, because Freddy is in multiple aspects somewhat a problem. On once the balancing side and on the other the licensing side. Since the character of Freddy Krueger indirectly has 3 different companies as owners
Daarn, I’d still love to see Freddy & Dredge in a 2v8, but yeah the licensing/balance stuff makes sense- thanks for sharing. I’ll stay optimistic though, maybe one day we’ll get Freddy and Dredge in 2v8. For now, looks like Pyramid Head and Dark Lord will be in the upcoming 2v8.

HAHAHA! Leave SABLE alone!
Everyone acting like she tunneled you at 5 gens, camped you on first hook, AND then sent you to RPD. 😂 The amount of love she gets is huge, so of course the hate shows up - but “a gigantic plastic bag because I’m tired of seeing her all the time”? Really? That’s the best we’ve got? I’ll take Sable over half the sweaty meta builds we face any day. -

I take that as I can call you Star? I'm sorry I was scared to be inpolite xD
You can call me by my real name or the name my gamer friends call me, I answer to both. No biggie. You’re so polite, love it! I cannot wait to corrupt you👅

Tension-Focused Modes
Sudden Death
Players: 1 Killer, 4–5 Survivors
Survivors only have 2 hook stages, and killers gain slight advantages, making every encounter risky.
Objective: Survivors must interact with key items or map markers to progress, while staying out of the killer’s reach.
Killer Role: Patrol and pressure survivors, turning any mistake into an opportunity.
Survivor Role: Balance caution and timing, using stealth and strategy to survive and complete interactions.
Every step counts, expose yourself too soon, and it could be your last. Each Trial is a careful dance of risk, timing, and survival.
Trail of Shadows
The Trial Grounds sink into darkness, where only the boldest movements cut through the veil. Survivors slip between shadow and cover, their every action - vaults, hurried steps, or disturbing the environment - leaving faint traces for the killer to follow.
Objective: Activate scattered objects to weaken the Entity’s hold. When enough have been disturbed, a hidden escape opens.
Killer Role: Stalk the darkness, watching for scratch marks, sudden sounds, or environmental disturbances. Press survivors into mistakes and smother their chances at escape.
Survivor Role: Trust the shadows, move with care, and act only when the moment is right. Every decision—whether to wait, to run, or to interact—tips the balance between concealment and discovery.
Predator vs Prey
The Trial Grounds turn into a high-stakes arena of pursuit. Killers sense survivors through momentary disturbances, while survivors use the environment - pallets, thrown objects, and clever maneuvers - to evade and disrupt the hunt. Objective: Stay one step ahead, using stealth, timing, and environmental tools to survive the Killer’s pressure.
Killer Role: Hunt with precision, apply pressure, anticipate counters, and prevent survivors from escaping or overwhelming you.
Survivor Role: Survive the hunt and use tactical counters to stay one step ahead of the Killer, balancing aggression with evasion.
Map Note: Trials are filled with interactive objects that reward creativity and clever use, giving survivors chances to mislead or slow the Killer while keeping tension high.
Win Conditions:
- Survivors win by outlasting the Killer or successfully using counters to evade them.
- Killers win by eliminating all survivors before they can evade or counter.
Encore
Survivors form a “band,” using teamwork and timing to maintain a performance across the Trial Grounds. Each survivor has a signature band perk influencing movement, coordination, or interaction.
Objective: Complete actions near teammates to build the “performance synergy” meter. Fill it before being caught to win.
Killer Role: Disrupt the performance by intercepting survivors and breaking coordination, forcing high-risk plays.
Survivor Role: Stick near teammates, time actions, and use stealth or cover to advance the synergy meter while avoiding the killer.
Band Perks (1 per survivor):
- Kate Denson – Dance With Me: Encourages smooth, stealthy movement near teammates.
- Ace Visconti – Up the Ante: Small boosts to item effectiveness and luck when performing nearby.
- Vee Boonyasak – Team Tempo: Improves synergy meter gains when acting in sequence with others.
- Zarina Kassir – For the People: Enhances healing and cleansing effectiveness near teammates.
- David King – Dead Hard: Action-focused escape skill when caught by the killer.
- Nea Karlsson – Balanced Landing: Agility-based movement bonus to reach interactive zones quickly.
- Meg Thomas – Sprint Burst: Classic repositioning speed to evade the killer.
Map Note: Compact Trial Grounds with multiple interactive zones reward teamwork and clever positioning while punishing overexposed or isolated survivors.

Oh that makes so much sense now, happens often to me but with words I think about (so wrong words are often in my sentences because of that, adhd is very annoying regarding to that). Well nice to meet you, Stassi! :D
(Don't know if you just mentioned it for fun, so I call you Stassi for now!)
My ingame username is simply Katsu and I play killer only basically xD
please see above response👆

(Before I beginn I'm just saying that I view it like it is now, so without anti-tunnel/-slug)
Sudden Death:
Sounds pretty unbalanced, it's really easy to tunnel someone with two stages, and you didn't say that you'd strengthen maps or something - that combined with the slight killerbuffs make it probably close to impossible to win as survivor.
Trail of Shadows:
Could be interessting, but wouldn't 3 people on one gen be impossible to see then (or rather 2 of them)? I also don't think you can really hear them. (Honestly not sure if it's possible to count the number of people by the sound). Also it's questionable if I can still hit them or if they are just not there.
Predator vs Prey:
Sounds fun, it seems to focus more one chasing than defending, that's actually what I like about 2vs8 (even though the gens there are brutally fast sometimes).
Encore:
Also sound really interessting, Vee seems a bit op with 3 effects at once but maybe you listed them as options rather than effects she has.
Hexed grounds:
Sounds fun as killer, but I don't know if it's necessarly fun as survivor. It sounds like the one palette at the game where you just corner yourself but as a whole mode xD
Entity's reach:
Sounds like a mode like there is in overwatch for example where you have to claim an area or the payload, I think this might be fun if you balance killer accordly.
Tainted fog:
Sounds a little bit like the same issue that lightsout has for me. It just hurts my eyes after a while, and it's not really fun for me to not see anything - now of course I now that fogvials are hardly an inconvenience right now, but it would still be a similar thing for me.
Other than that I still like the idea of a tournament-mode, so basically 1vs1 tournaments you see normally, but as a normal mode. Of course balanced accordly, but maybe with all killers. (Don't know how this should be balanced.)
That's just randomly, doesn't have anything to do with your ideas :D
Thanks for your feedback, Tim I’ve updated the modes to make them more tense and fun, giving both survivors and the killer meaningful choices.
Exploration & Reward Modes
Sanctified Grounds (Formerly, Hexed grounds)
The Trial Grounds twist under the influence of Totems. Hex Totems spread corruption, making pallets, windows, and lockers dangerous, while Boon Totems sanctify areas, offering a brief respite from the Entity’s curse.
- Objective: Move carefully through the map, repairing generators while cleansing Hex Totems or blessing Totems to create safer zones.
- Killer Role: Empower Totems with Hexes, turning familiar spaces into traps and hazards for survivors.
- Survivor Role: Push back against the curse—cleanse or bless Totems to reclaim control and secure pockets of safety.
Think of it like lane control in MOBAs—survivors carve out safe pockets while the killer pushes back with corruption.
Entity’s Reach
The Entity claims parts of the map, marking zones of its influence. Survivors must venture into these areas to progress objectives, all while the killer watches, waits, and strikes.
- Objective: Repair generators, cleanse Totems, or retrieve items in claimed zones, staying alert to danger.
- Killer Role: Patrol these zones relentlessly, forcing survivors into risky choices.
- Survivor Role: Time every action carefully, balancing speed and caution to escape the killer’s grasp.
Think of it like a control point in Overwatch or a Domination flag in Call of Duty—survivors only interact temporarily, while the killer pressures the area.
Tainted Fog
A thick, creeping fog blankets the Trial Grounds, carrying the Entity’s corruption. Survivors move through a haze that dulls sight and slows actions, while killers gain subtle advantages in stalking and ambush.
- Objective: Use the fog to your advantage—repair generators and escape while navigating its hidden dangers.
- Killer Role: Exploit the reduced visibility to surprise survivors and control the flow of the Trial.
- Survivor Role: Balance caution and speed, using the fog for cover while managing minor debuffs like slower vaults or healing.
The fog creates tension and choice without blinding survivors, making every step a careful calculation.
🚨 NEW MODE 🚨
Hidden Menace (Inspired by Prop Hunt)
Players: 8 Survivors, 2 Killers
Survivors slip between objects for cover, using the environment to stay out of sight, while some items are tainted, revealing anyone who lingers too long.
Objective: Navigate carefully, mislead the killer, and avoid detection while advancing through the Trial.
Killer Role: Patrol the area, forcing survivors to move and exposing those who try to stay hidden.
Survivor Role: Balance stealth and progress, choosing cover wisely to remain unseen while completing objectives.
Map Note:
Compact Trial Grounds with dense clusters of objects let survivors hide cleverly, but tainted items expose those who linger too long, keeping every decision tense.
Like Prop Hunt in Overwatch or Call of Duty, survivors use objects to hide (not transform into) while the killer searches, creating tension and deception throughout the Trial.

Personally, i’m only interested in variety. Other games COD primarily have rotating game mode. At this point we need variety besides 4v1 gen rush.

Hey Survivors & Killers! 👋
DBD’s 4v1 is iconic, but matches can feel repetitive, and some mechanics- hexes, fog, maps, chests - don’t get enough love. Other games keep things fresh with rotating modes.
I’ve drafted seven possible permanent rotating modes-four tension-focused and three exploration/reward - to mix up gameplay and encourage strategy, stealth, and teamwork. Would love community feedback and thoughts for BHVR on which modes sound most fun or how to tweak them!
Tension-Focused Modes
- Sudden Death: Survivors only get 2 hook stages; killers get slight buffs. Objective: Every encounter is high-stakes. Survivors must carefully plan rescues and generator runs because mistakes are costly.
- Trail of Shadows: Only one survivor is visible at a time. Objective: Use stealth and misdirection to evade the killer, or for killers, anticipate movements and track strategically.
- Perks (1 per player): Decisive Strike, Diversion, Head-On & Lithe/Sprint Burst
- Always Active: Urban Evasion
- Predator vs Prey: Killers gain temporary tracking after major survivor actions; survivors get small counters. Objective: Complete objectives while avoiding detection, creating tense cat-and-mouse moments.
- Encore: Survivors are a “band,” each limited to their signature band perk.
Objective: Complete generators while staying near teammates to boost “performance synergy.” Healing, cleansing, and interacting with objectives grant small buffs if nearby teammates support. Killers must disrupt the “performance.”
Band Perk Options: - Kate Denson – Dance With Me: Encourages stealth and smooth movement.
- Ace Visconti – Up the Ante: Bonus luck and item effectiveness.
- Vee Boonyasak – Ghost Notes, One-Two-Three-Four!, Road Life (team coordination, timing, and movement)
- Zarina Kassir – For the People: Boosts team support and interaction.
- David King – Dead Hard: Action-oriented escape mechanic.
- Nea Karlsson – Balanced Landing: Agility and flair for movement.
- Meg Thomas – Sprint Burst: Classic fast movement and repositioning.
- Aestri Yazar – Bardic Inspiration: Grants small buffs to nearby teammates during coordinated actions.
Exploration & Reward Modes
- Hexed Grounds: Extra hexes and environmental hazards like blocked pallets or trap windows. Objective: Navigate the map, disable or cleanse hexes, and manage hazards while completing generators.
- Entity’s Reach: Certain map zones are controlled by the Entity, and survivors must interact to progress objectives. Objective: Explore shifting zones to repair, cleanse, or collect items before the killer intercepts.
- Tainted Fog: Fog Vials are always active; survivors get minor debuffs, killers gain small buffs. Objective: Use the fog for strategic positioning, completing objectives safely or ambushing opponents.
I’d love to hear what ya'll think add your ideas in the comment or if any of these interest you speak!

Sable Ward and Tryks (aka Jezebel) have way too much in common for this to be coincidence:
- Amber glowing eyes
- Identical facial structure
- Silver- white hair
- Connection to Entity
They could be two sides of the same coin -just saying. Could Behaviour be secretly setting us up for a dual identity Plot Twist?
Let's hear your thoughts!

From Youtube: Similar as reddit posts. Ultimately, you can love and or hate her, TRYKS is by far a multi-dimensional unlike other DBD characters that come off as one-dimensional. Sable and her share similar likeness that all of us agree on.
-
several from separate Reddit posts: TYKS (Je-Zable) as Sable skin and alternate SABLE. TRYKS as Killer/Survivor. TYKS being missed.

These changes, I feel, are fairly tone deaf in the goal of the change.
The changes are
Monitor and Abuse:
While in a chase, your terror radius is now increased by 5/10/15% (was 6/7/8 meters).
Otherwise, your terror radius is now decreased by 15/20/25% (was 6/7/8 meters). While on paper this is a side grade, it really is a nerf to most of the killers that actually use monitor and abuse.
Killers like pig, SM, and hag could use this perk to get a 16-meter TR., It only goes down to 20, which, although it isn't that big of a deal, it's still a pointless change. Now it is only really good on 32-meter TR killers, cuz killers with a 40-meter TR are better if running an undetectable perk, because with the new monitor their terror radius is still 30 Meters, which is still rather big, so fair pointless to run.
This change only reduces the number of killers this perk is actually fun on
@Callahan9116 said:
It could be funny for shenanigans if you pair it with terror radius add ons and have a map wide terror radius
@SakurasSecret91 said:
I agree with the original poster, it's honestly pretty uncommon and could use a slight buff.
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I agree. While it is technically stronger with this change on the 40m TR killers, they don't really get nearly as much value from it as the 24m TR killers do and I'd consider the change a nerf overall. It should be reverted

I really, REALLY hope it will get reverted.
This change screws over killers like Hag, Myers and Pig, killers who actually could and would use this perk, and instead buffs the A+ and S tiers like Hillbilly, Wesker and Blight.

No thank you, I prefer not having random escapes up to 3 man even tho I have gens left. It was annoying to tunnel out people with keys before and it won't change now - well I guess a little because keys only count for yourself now if I remember correctly.
I'd rather take the anti-tunnel and anti-slugg stuff with actually fitting numbers and as little flaws as possible. I want at least the consistency that every gen has to be completed.

DEVS, 🙏 bring TRYKS back!

Excuse the image its AI.

Ever notice how DBD is full of hidden puppeteers? Take Tryks — the Mad Designer, the mastermind behind the Twisted Masquerade, whose influence is everywhere if you know where to look. Alias? Je-Zable.
Tryks isn’t just a name dropped in passing. She’s a puppet master, artist, trickster, and storyteller all rolled into one. And her alias - Je-Zable → Zable → Sable - isn’t a coincidence. It hints at fractured identities, a shadow of herself lingering as the playable survivor Sable.
Her Footprints in Lore:
- Tome III – Escalation: Sends a cryptic “birthday” invite tied to the Entity’s celebrations.
- Tome VI – Divergence: Writings in the Chamber of Blood show her manipulative genius.
- Tome XV – Ascension: Notes signed “Sweet Darkness” link her closer to the Entity.
- Tome XVIII – Revision: Observer discovers her surreal cardboard/gingerbread realm — unmistakably her style.
Fractured Identities: Comedy vs. Tragedy:
🎭 Comedy Mask: In Greek theatre, comedy isn’t just “funny.” It exaggerates, mocks, twists reality, and thrives on chaos. Tryks embodies this: chaotic, playful, Harley Quinn - like energy, joy turned unsettling.
🎭 Tragedy Mask: Tragedy shows inevitability, sorrow, restraint, and the cold truth of suffering. Sable embodies this: stoic, detached, the weight of inevitability.Inspiration Done Right:
- Agatha Harkness: hidden, orchestrating events, dropping subtle breadcrumbs.
- Harley Quinn: playful, chaotic, darkly humorous — joy twisted into something unsettling.
- Like many archetypes in comics (Superman → Homelander → Wonder Man), Tryks isn’t a copy - she’s fully her own, blending hidden manipulation with chaotic charm.
Fan Speculation:
- New Killer/Survivor: Could she step into the Fog herself? Absolutely — wielding illusions, bending environments, and twisting reality into mind-bending chaos.
- Next Event Architect: With the Twisted Masquerade behind us, Tryks could take the reins of DBD’s next big anniversary event. She’s already left her mark with collections like Alice in Wonderland — dramatic, surreal, and theatrical.
Tryks isn’t just lurking in notes and Tomes. She’s been teasing her reveal for years.
It wasn’t random. It was Tryks ALL Along. 🎶Also Future suggestion for 2v8 … The Nightmare + Dredge😱

Hi all, does Sable "Death By Roses" finally received her Goth Glam make-up? If so, Soooo pretttyyy! Thank you DEVS!

I was playing on and off for several years. Seen alot of changes, and played predominantly from surv at the beginning. Then I played almost half a year to 1 year exclusively as killer.
So why did I have a change of heart? Why did i switch from surv to the killer?
- cause no matter how hard and good u play, this game only gives u negative feelings. U struggle and try, eventually u just see how whole team dies, gets slugged, camped, tunneled, etc, by the 4-5 gens yet to be repaired. Statistically it’s 8-9/10 games.Than u might reach the highest rating, iridescent, and stats shifts, cause less idiotic killers are there, they try to follow your new system (despite its not implemented), and they still kill everyone by the 1-2 gens Anyway
So why did i switch to play for ghost face? Why i was so eager to go for a killer and not surv?
Cause killing is easy, even without tunneling, i easily killed everyone at 4-5 gens, every 9/10 games. It’s easy, it’s like u are world champion who beats the 6 years old kid. After that i just from principle never killed whole team, always let someone let go. But it’s not challenging and boring, and it is still like that. If u have skill, without slugging, without tunelling, without camping U CAN KILL EVERYONE AT 4-5 gens. It’s ridiculous.
So why i quit?
- game looks raw, unfinished, even the best streamers see how the game is #########. They just learned to not react. They justify.
- Dbd devs listens to crybabies, that are sad not about the system getting introduced with balance. And why so? They want still to kill everyone at 4-5 gens. They egocentric egomaniacs, and i think game gathers into itself psychopaths and they literally been lying and manipulating so that system that’s fair won’t be implemented.
- playing for surv is disgusting 9/10 games. Even when u leave or loop for 1-2 gens, u don’t feel rewarded, they will camp, slugg, use cheat and kill everyone.
- devs became lost, they don’t see that easy Anti-cheat is #########, it doesn’t work, it creates illusion of anti cheat being present. And u can literally find ######### LIVE STREAMS where ppl use cheats and teach that to others. While easy anti-cheat is BS
- the only way to win 4-6/10 games as survivor, when u go in team of 4 with voice chat. But the game doesn’t encourage that, even though it might be only way to get closer to not suffer playing itSo my recommendation - keep listening to cheaters, to losers that wants to kill at 5 gens, to streamers that lick your butts cause u are their source of income! U will never have stable player base and game will die eventually. Or fix anti-cheat, create balance and have stable not toxic player base that will enrich you and call more ppl in
P.S when ppl ask me about the game i am telling them to stay as far as possible from it. It doesn’t worth a dime. It actually just steals dimes from u
I hear you, it can be rough and many of us put time, investments, and shared feedback. However, there’s still a lot to appreciate in DBD though, and I think the devs do care even if it isn’t as perfect as we want it. Hopefully things keep improving… and let’s be real, you’ll be back. We always come back

Yes, because we all know that DBD is terrifying.
1v4 can be somewhat scary at least, but 2v8 is just arcade, dude. I don't see how their priority should lie in aesthetics at all.
Add Singularity he's my main.
Don't you dude me, dudette😜JK! Singularity paired with…Krasue? OR what about these little critters paired with Krasue!

Sable: "Where's Toto"
Je-Zable: "And I kill Toto too"
Original TRYKS image from DBD👆️ but see her left Amber eye. Matches Sable's chrysalis cosmetic eyes.
🚨googled: 👇️ Devs don’t name-drop for fun. Je-Zable → Zable = Sable. “Je” means “I” in French — remove it, leaving Sable, a symbol of fractured identity.🚨

With that a new complain, but who cares at this point I'll take the make-up over the hair color.

Harley Quinn? Harley Quinn is just a person with a mental disorder. And what fans? Every DC movie I can remember with Harley Quinn was a huge flop.
From Google:
Seriously, where my TRYKS fans at? Y’all bringing the rain when I’m tryna throw a parade - mood killer much? We got Debbie Downers in the house! 🤣 Just being silly, it’s all good. Appreciate y’all’s perspective!

Tryks should not be a Survivor nor a Killer, as neither roles would fit her character.
If she is to be added back, she should fit much more as a map entity in some way or form instead. Maybe something that has a chance of spawning on any map perhaps.
@Falcao said:
Trykzz should be on dbd's birthday every year. Please don't make her another Sable.
Thanks for sharing! I see your points, but I think TRYKS as a killer could bring something fresh and unique to DBD - like Harley Quinn, who became a recurring fan favorite (only debuting in the Batman animated series, originally intended for a single episode) after strong reactions. Her twisted personality could inspire new mechanics and interactions.
I also love the idea of her appearing on DBD’s birthday each year. It could be a fun tradition. Whether as a seasonal event, a killer, or a map entity, the key is keeping her twistedly twisted energy alive in the game!
30 voice lines gone to waste, no way!?

"Headed" huh, pun intended!? Yeah, you right!
New trailer out with a survivor (Meg) looking like she's infected. What if it worked like the pig with the exploding-head device, with a timer - or an infection like Nemesis or Wesker? When the timer to cleanse runs out and the infection reaches its maximum… boom, Krasue, you're dead!

While this is an interesting outlook, I don't think it's exactly true. The Unknown, as a far as we know, has a very poor perception of what a human looks like, and can only mimic their voices convincingly.
I don't think Mikaela would be unable to distinguish the difference between a human and monster. Unless she had a Velma moment and lost her glasses for a long time.
Plus, if I understood the lore right, the Unknown only strikes once the target defines it. This long setup would fit the entity more, or if we are talking about a monster, some kind of monster feasting on magic.
Then what happened to Julian? Why did Sable replace him?

ima be real i dont think that cosmetic will ever look like the artists depiction bc sable is tiny and it kinda only works if she was taller
I understand what you're saying, but for me this isn't about comparing it to other flawed cosmetics or pointing out that similar issues happen elsewhere - it's about the principle and the respect owed to the artist's work. When a contest invites the community to create designs that will permanently featured in the game, there's an unspoken commitment (promise) to bring that vision to life as faithfully as possible. Some adjustments for engine or model limitations are expected, but thsi feels incomplete and lacking refinement, especially when she wasn't even given a distinct, stylized face to reflect the original concept. The financial state of the studio shouldn't influence the level of care put into something that's meant to honor community talent. In the end, artist creations deserve to be realized with the utmost care, quality, and respect.
Lastly, no one is complaining about Unknown Rift Detective skin… It's perfect!
Here's the potential rework

Hi all!
I’ve been playing Dead by Daylight since Michael Myers was first released, and I’ve never felt compelled to make a post like this but the current state of the game has pushed me to speak up. I truly love this game and want to see it continue to thrive, but right now, the balance between killers and survivors feels worse than it has in a long time.
1. Fog Vials:
The recent nerf to fog vials has rendered them nearly useless. I could understand adding a longer cooldown as a balancing measure, but making them easier to see through and limiting their total use per match has taken away what made them worthwhile. When survivors can bring other items with much greater impact, there’s little reason to use fog vials anymore.2. Clown Buff:
The recent Clown buff is insane and excessive. Killers are already faster than survivors by default, and with certain perks, Clown can now achieve up to a 40% haste buff, which feels unplayable. Perks that enhance killer speed are extremely accessible, and I don’t think the impact of stacking them on top of this buff was fully considered. I honestly think Clown needs to be temporarily killswitched until this can be reviewed.3. The Ghoul:
Playing against the Ghoul is frustrating to the point where I frequently see multiple teammates disconnect. His grab ability needs a cooldown, with add-ons that can improve it if desired, because right now it feels oppressive and drives players away from even wanting to face him.4. Springtrap:
Springtrap also needs a rework. His doors often spawn too close to generators, which creates unfair pressure. Adding an audio cue when he teleports would help survivors counterplay, especially since he already gains undetectable status for a long duration after teleporting (which I also feel lasts too long). Combined with his ranged attack, he becomes overwhelming in most matches, and like the Ghoul, I often see teammates DC against him. On top of that, cameras and doors feel practically useless because he always knows when we’re using them, making them easy bait for him to secure kills.Overall Thoughts:
I understand survivors shouldn’t be overpowered, and I’m not asking for that, but the skill and power discrepancy between high-level and mid-to-low-level players is massive. Killers in low- to mid-level ranks often feel too strong because overpowered builds are very accessible, and killers like Ghoul, Springtrap, and now Clown make matches feel unwinnable unless you’re playing in a well-coordinated SWF team. These issues don’t make the game more fun for either side: they lead to frustration, disconnects, and fewer people wanting to play survivor. I hope the team can take a closer look at these changes and consider small, targeted nerfs to improve the overall experience.
I would also love to hear feedback on this post from killer and survivor mains alike. No hate, I just really want to see this game improve.
I appreciate you- I created a forum, I too have kept quiet until recent. Feel free to view:

DBD has been going strong for over 9 years - with plenty of epic moments - and some frustrating ones too.
Lately, more of us in the community are noticing bugs, balance issues, and overall concerns.
This thread isn't just to vent - it's a space to share pain points, suggest fixes, and spark ideas to keep the game fun and thriving in hopes BHVR reads our post.
What We've Noticed:
- Some Killers (Like Clown) remain frustrating to face, even after being buffed.
- Pigs suddenly S-tier killer increasing likelihood of having heads popping off.
- Ongoing issues with maps, chase mechanics, sound effects, and streaming party errors.
- New content release sometimes introduce more bugs than fixes.
With the recent layoffs at BHVR, it's hard not to wonder if quality control has taken a hit. The game's nearly a decade old - some cracks are becoming a bigger problem.
Here's what players keep brining up in chats, streams, and forums.
- Give OG killers some love - updated moris, animations, even rework. - My suggestion
- Slow down on content drops and focus on stability
- Bring back or try new event modes - Lights Out, My little Oni, or something fresh. - My suggestion
- One licensed killer a year is enough - let's see more original ideas or continue to get community involved in creation.
- Introducing new surviors/killes comes with additional perks, it make overwhelmnew comers.
- TRYKS either as Killer (my request & community) and or legendary skin for Sable (community). She has 30 voice lines, exisit in the world of DBD and would make a unique killer. Plus, Tryks and Sable have a connection as being one in the same Tryks (Je-Zable) = Sable.
Check out these forum.

- Any bugs that ruin the fun for you?
- What small or big changes woudl keep you in the Fog?

Tryks aka Je-Zable is Sable …
Image is Ai generated. The golden blood (not snot) is from overuse of her power. Lol, the AI F'd Up!
-
🧩Je-Zable → Sable that's not a fluke - that's design
This is the lynchpin, folks.
"Je" which means I/me in French. Remove the "I" (self), and you get Zable → Sable
This isn't just a word play - it's intentional. The Devs don't drop names like that without meaning. This is a breadcrumb linking identities.

Behaviour please revise the original to at least look something like this.

I noticed some deeper parallels between Sable and Tryks, both use "Seriously" in their speech. Which brings me back to them being two states of the same mind.
Sable delivers lines that land like dry warnings, laced with irony. "Seriously, I get the feeling something bad is about to happen. Yum."
Tryks feels theatrical, erractic, and unhinged. "Are you laughing or screaming? Seriously, I can't tell".
Same cadence, different charge.

She can levitate like nurse 🙏 it could be there in place of her run and walk animations. It would be such a sick thing to do as survivor that doesn’t change anything but visuals.
You may have something!
Now I'm totally nerding out - imagine Tryks hovering with full directional control, she can levitate high and blink (teleport). Imagine survivor stands on the roof, of the Garden of Joy - Roots of Dread map (white house) and Tryks below. Her decoy (illusion) is seen entering the house, but the real Tryks blinks straight to the survivor, catching them off guard. This would somewhat mirror the doctor's maddness ability but her illusions (nod to sable) actually move to TRYK survivors.

Pls see my response below… It will have this symbol "> > >"
> > > > > > To me, Tyrks isn't just random or cringey- she's actually cleverly twisted. Behind the jokes and chaos is someone who truly thrives in the Entity's realm, which makes her even more unsettling. While other killers come from pain or vegeance, Tryks chooses the maddness. That playful, twisted energy adds a fresh kind of horror - fun on the surface, but deeply disturbing underneath.

Why bring Tryks back? I’ve generally been on the side of DBD being a horror game - no Hereditary or I Saw the Devil, sure, but maybe along the lines of May the Devil Take You. Glimpses of a very dark narrative underbelly and a lot of camp and gore. And I’m generally accepting of tonal variations within the presentation of the characters. From Clown to Plague to Trickster to Ghoul, the varying animation and sound design still felt rooted in the real horror of the characters’ storylines even if they could be clipped and meme’d into oblivion. That’s the nature of games.
But Tryks in execution feels like the unbelievably cringe creation of a 12 year old writing in an ‘Ultra Kewl Super Badass’ but also ‘So LolzRandom!!!’ OC who was Jigsaw’s SECRETER secret apprentice and thought that all the other apprentices were like soooo lame. There is no texture to her at all.
Her voice direction and lines sound like a bad Harley Quinn knock-off that makes no sense. Her look is simply a carbon copy of Sable’s generic ‘token conventionally hot blonde’ from countless bland games, with similar vaguely alt style and some extra jewelry. To the extent that I at first thought this was supposed to be Sable as a killer, given they both also have the same type of personality - Edgier than Thou, with Sable calling herself ‘not like other girls’ and thinking watching some hardcore horror films means you're in touch with the dark side of the world and Tryks performing an overwrought ‘LolzSoRandom!!!’ persona and fawning over the Entity. (Like, again, a terrible Harley Quinn knock-off that doesn’t understand anything about the character of Harley Quinn.)
When I looked them up in confusion and realized it was a relatively long-standing character, I was astonished and disappointed by the complete lack of personality, presence or depth in eventual presentation. No body horror or unexpected standards of shape or design to Tryks' own look (surprising for a reality-bending architect/artist who supposedly idolizes eldritch grotesqueries), nothing intriguing to the lines, no clues to lore connections. That old Lunar New Year event with the lanterns - implicitly from an outside power - that could be preserved and protected or destroyed and corrupted literally had more depth and intrigue to its lore! Which, FINE. Since the last of the old writing team was replaced I think a lot of people have gotten used to low-key ignoring the lore.
But if you must bring the self-insert of a 14 year old that is desperately acting out for attention back, PLEASE MAKE IT SO WE DON’T HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE SHRILL, CRINGEY, EYEROLL-INDUCING VOICELINES EVERY TIME SOMEONE SO MUCH AS BLINKS IN GAME.
ETA: and to clarify, I don't have a problem with the Entity having connections or pseudo-connections to characters. I thought the cult in both Elodie and Haddie's stories had a lot of potential narratively, and didn't necessarily undercut the cosmic horror. But they didn't undercut it because humans desperately grasping for the favor of incomprehensible entities because they see no other way out and submit in the vain hope that they can be subservient enough to survive is an old classic. It works so long as the narrative doesn't try to use the cultists to actually pierce the veil of grotesque ineffability lying between us and vast, alien consciousness.Humans can fumble in the dark in feeble petty self-serving tasks until the end of time, bargaining with the unbargainable, without making cosmic entities more comprehensible. But saying 'well actuallyyyy the Entity IS bootleg Joker and has a Harley Quinn from wish.com' is bizarre.
ETA2: TRYKS FEELS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF 'HELSING ABRIDGED' BUT UNIRONICTo me, Tyrks isn't just random or cringey- she's actually cleverly twisted.

I'm always in on the conspiracy theories. It is fun to look more into the characters in an alternate way.
What if's, I mean.
And there is no denying that Tryks and Sable are very similar looking, in physical appearance. But all that aside, I really want Tryks as a survivor. I guess she would be my next P100 if that happened :D
That's interesting, her, as a survivor - though she'd probs get nerfed a bit. No flying, levitating or opening rifts (teleportation) like she does now. But I could still see her perks echoing her "Bag of Tryks" - like speed boots, aura reveals and something with totems/chest

sorry for being that guy, but based on the models they dont look very similar to me. Skull structure is different, sable has a stronger jaw than tryks, lips shape is different between the two. Nose is a bit smoother on Tryks and also his nose bridge seems to be a bit offseted, like crooked? if that makes sense, which would be nice to know lorewise the reason for this? is that something made on purpouse, or its just a happy accident?
Tryks looks younger as well, unless they are the same person in different timelines? Or, as the meme says, maybe sable is a gen-z aging like milk, and shes younger than tryks. I dunno.
Also Im not sure if its fair to say they both share the same body type, as this was probably recycled to cut times in production. Does makes sense to sculpt a new body type just for an npc?
Dont get me wrong, I want to believe, and i think it would give the lore a cool twist, but unless this is confirmed by devs, i cant believe it yet.All views are welcome… Except YOURS! Hahaha JK😜
I see your points, but imagine if they did connect them. Iconic!
So come on and be "One of Us" 🎭️ . We got theories for dayz and zero confirmation. It's chaotic twisted fun -Yes, pun very much intended.

I totally believe this.
Tryks and Sable have a lot in common, and Sable seemed pretty interested in the realm until she started dying.
Sable also has some degree of power, probably from her relationship with the Entity being favorable.
Tryks seems like a pretty logical continuation of this. After a few years in the realm, she managed to learn enough to get away from the trials entirely, much like Vigo. But unlike him, she stayed in the realm, throwing the Entity yearly birthday parties.
Now, there is a question of age, and how both Sable and Tryks can coexist. But, since parallel universes exist in the world of DbD, this question solves itself.
So, imo, Tryks is Sable after a few years in the realm.

It might be a thing, but I personally feel like they just created the same character twice. At best I'd be willing to believe she's an alternate universe creation or an abandoned concept.

Reminids me of Agatha All along…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8u8md-NiHM@UnicornMedal Totally fair! Even if it wasn't planned, the similarities are strong enough that Behaviour could still spin it into an alt-universe Sable or lost version. Sometimes great lore comes from happy accidents👁️🗨️
@SoGo Agree 1000%! Tryks feels like Sable final form - Entity - aligned and thriving beyond the trails. The multiverse concept explains everything.
It's unanimous, we all want Tryks as a playable character with full lore and perks. Behaviour, the community has spoken, give us TRYKS🙏

@UndeddJester as a Sable main… You're Welcome!😈
-
I thought the same - when Tryks came out I was like this is Sable! I know my girl! I don't care what anyone says. "n the lore of Dead by Daylight, Sable Ward considers Mikaela Reid to be her best friend
. Sable's backstory explains that Mikaela was her only friend, and they bonded over their shared interest in horror and the occult. However, Mikaela's lore paints a different picture, mentioning her best friend as Julian, her roommate. Some fans suggest that Sable might have been in an unrequited friendship, or perhaps they exist in different timelines where their relationship developed differently. The game creators might also not have planned Sable's character and her connection to Mikaela when Mikaela's lore was initially developed."
I'm going to create a separate post.

Hi Amazing Behavior team.
I’m begging, literally on my knees but I also don’t envy your position.
Constructive Feedback: Death by Roses Sable Ward seems unfinished in Gothic Romance she has eye shadow (pink reddish color) and or add under eye shadow like M3Gan to make her eyes pop similarly to her Cemetery Grotesque look.
Additional challenges
- Reports by others states the corset not pairing well with other cosmetic - it disappears into the fabric
- The cape is not as seamless/effortless it looks like fixed in place very weird looking, if turned on side profile she looks like horse. Trust, once see it, it can’t be unseen🤣
