  • The Shape

Bloody bullet: One of the bullets shot at him while he was hunting his original obsession. The reminder of his failure makes him reckless.

    When equipped:

-Your evil within progresses 30% faster when stalking the obsession.

    - Every time you reach Tier III, the obsession will scream and reveal his/her position.

    - When chasing the obsession at tier III, stuns last 50% less and movement speed increases a 25%.

    - If the obsession is left on the dying state, another random survivor becomes the obsession.

    Killer name : The worshipper

    Power: Abyss Domain

Lore: Cthulhu priest ( or similar figure)

You cannot physically harm any survivor and you are intangible till survivor is on the edge of life ( knock down). You can travel around the map at high speed (maybe like wraith speed)

You can summon up to 2 spawn that will chase survivors. You can select one minion to control it for a time.

    Spawn stats:

    Speed 110%

    No power.

You can press power button in certain structures to activate certain effect.

Windows: After 3 secs that window get blocked for 15 secs.Cooldown:?

Pallets: After 3 secs that pallet get blocked for 15 secs.Cooldown:?

Generators: Gen will be haunted and will regress naturally but if a survivor touch it the survivor will scream

Totems: Totems affected will be blocked when trying to boon will be blocked.Surv will be oblivious 20 secs after the action.

Would the totem thing still work when cleansing instead of booning?

Also, Idk if it is a coincidence or not, but I posted a killer concept with some similarities to this one on June 14 XD. But I like this "sabottaging" killer whose power is aimed at frustrating survivors.

You cannot deny that the Shape is a statistically and fundamentally weaker killer than the Nurse when played at maximum efficiency.

You cannot deny that given the same parameters and setup - an Oni or Artist will have a much easier time winning a match than an Onryo or Trapper.

I may not be able to deny that player skill is a major contributing factor to efficacy, but I don't intend to.

But you must concede that there are fundamental logical and mechanical limitations imposed by the unique attributes of each killer.

(All of this ignoring the part where you basically are saying that you know more about the game than all of the professional players)

Man, they all say that their tier lists are based on their oppinion. Of course I do not know more than them. The killer's performance always depends on the players, those who control them an those they are against. The perks also contribute a lot. And I am saying that a legion can do as well as a nurse if played well enough. It is not the usual thing, but It can happen. And this is simply to show that Dredge needs no nerf, as It can be quite weak against certain mindgames. No killer is OP, only good players make them OP. The limitations you mention also come with advantages, and those used well and paired with addons and perks can erase those limitations, and the player determines those.

(And if you don't mind, I prefer to end this discussion with your inevitable next post, so pls do not hold back anything, because you could be convincing me and maybe I have to correct my way thinking.)

  • Teachable perks:

Taste for destruction: Your rage transforms you into a destructive being that will disobbey rules to find satisfaction wile calming down. Every trial you will start with 1/2/3 distinctives. Each distinctive allows you to destroy an unused pallet in the first 180 seconds of the trial. Once this time passes, the perk will deactivate and will not be able to be used again.

Late prevention: Watching generators be repaired increases your anger and your fear for failure, making your desperation take control of the situation. Every trial you will be able to damage one fully reapired generator and leave it repaired on a 75/50/25%. Once all needed generators are repaired, the perk will deactivate regardless of if you have used it or not.

Hex: Last Stand. Your inminent failure makes you call the Entity for help, and the Entity is compelled by your determination to act. When the endgame collapse activates, a random dull totem or a boon totem becomes a hex totem. While the hex totem is standing, a cycle begins in which opened exit gates alternate between being open or closed every 10/20/30 seconds. While the hex is active, totem purifications are 50% faster.

So the thing is, if the Dredge can see the survivor while they are looping the pallet loop that you placed your remnant at, there is no mindgame. Because he can just teleport right before the survivor runs into the remnant, and get a guaranteed hit. That's the one thing I would like to change, by increasing the time it takes to teleport back to his remnant, there would actually be a mindgame, at least at medium and small sized pallet loops.

To be fair, it is quite early to say whether he needs that nerf or not, but I do think that it would improve his chase gameplay just a bit more, even though I already think it's pretty good.

However, nerfs like canceling Bloodlust when he charges his power I think is a no-brainer, it doesn't take long to realise that probably shouldn't be a thing. Again, not a noticeable nerf, but it's needed.

There IS a mindgame using the remnant, I have seen it. Again, there is a small window in which dredge cannot do anything but watch the survivor comming towards it or fleeing from it, and that also applies to comming out from lockers. And if another survivor is close by and destroys the remnant, then the antiloop is over. So making the remnant TP slower would basically end it's purpose and nobody would use it, making dredge a mere stealth killer and one of the weakest in the game. The same applies to bloodlust, when charging tp, he becomes much more slower and he will need to catch up if The survivors change loop or press w. Those nerfs would remove his chase potential completely.

  • Dredge is fine for me. If survivors are inteligente enough they can avoid him, as when he stops using the remnant he is not able to do a thing for a little bit on time while still being slow, so the survivor can win distance. Then mindgaming him into using his tp by faking going to places leaves him on cooldown for a while, while his tp is kinda slow most times. But survivors do not want to think anymore. It seems, they just want to Tbag and click without giving the killer a chance to answer back.

Interesting point of view. I'd like to know why you think that, if you wanna tell.

  • Lore:

But students were fueled by envy. They wished to be as brilliant as her. They wanted her life to have a flaw. Insults and agressions came from everywhere. At first they were soft, and could be forgotten once she arrived at her home, her safe spot. But soon, It would evolve. Threats, humilliations and thefts. This made her be an introvert. Her parents were a great support, and once she managed to tell them what was happening, they ran to the nearest police station. But tragedy struck fast. Both her parents died in a car accidente, and Mary was left alone and Broken. She was alone, and the world was her enemy.

But someone was with her. She was not alone. A voice whispered her some instructions. It was her father, and he was telling her how to make her enemies pay.

Mary swore revenge. She believed that the ones who insulted her were responsible for the death of her only support. So she did what her father said. Her last night alone, right before the day her aunt would take care of her, Mary went to her basement and, in the middle of a square of candles, she said the words that would doom her. Space cracked before her, and Mary was consumed by her own anger. Her lifeless body was found next morning, alongside those of the ones who disgraced her the most. And then, every month one of the students who were in her class started dying. But Mary was not there to see it. Only her rage remained, surrounded by a black mist.

  • Each survivor starts the trial with a new status effect: cursed. The Curse can only take over cursed survivors. Once they are posessed, they loose the status effect, and closing rifts will make them be cursed again.

Living in a traumatic life could corrupts somebody's mind or leads them into violence, in this case the victim of what called tragedy has become something more than corrupted, twisted and blinded. The darkness in his mind has consumed him, brought him a power to revenge but also turned him into a devil.

    The Deception's POWER is: TWIST.

Press the ability button to turn into one of the four survivors in the trial.

If you are pointed by a flashlight, you will lose your disguise and the power go into cool-down.

Return to the real form will put your ability into a cool-down.

    When disguising as a survivor:

You gain the Undetectable status effect and move at survivors' normal speed.

Unlock the ability to vault and fast vault windows, pallets.

Working on a generator will regress it.

When inside a locker, if you entered it, you can press the ability button to return to your real form and rush out the locker.

    SPECIAL ABILITY: CORRUPT.

When the special ability is ready, you can use it on a survivor to turn them into yours embodiment.

If that survivor is pointed by a flashlight, they return to their normal form.

When a survivor is turned into you:

That survivor emits a normal terror radius, red-stain, and chase music like a normal killer but moves at a normal survivors' speed.

Vaulting a palet will cause it immediately destroyed.

The killer moves at 4.6 m/s (115%) and has a 32m terror radius.

*WILL BE MORE AMENDMENT, ADJUSTMENT AND COMPLEMENT IN THE FUTURE"

You can contribute in this killer too, I will listen to all of your advise!

I think if this killer is brought into the game it will be a lot of fun and jumpscares!

If this killer is loved, I will write his backstory!

    Counter play:

Bond: If a survivor is near but their aura is not shown by Bond, you can tell that is the killer.

    Flashlight

How would It work against swf groups?

  • And he still has terror radius when he controls a survivor.

  • Of course, the killer can return to the bodyless state whenever he wants to.

My oh my, it's not as if content creators with amazing Legion plays also have a consensus on what killers are strongest or weakest.

Otzdarva has a 50 4k streak on Shape, but openly places Shape in D tier and proclaims that He's the weakest in the game.

The existence of good plays and good players does not prove or even indicate the absence of skill ceilings.

But tier lists are based on personal oppinions of those Who do them. They provide arguments, true, but it is on a general point of view. In last instance, it is the playera the one who makes a killer good or bad, and you cannot deny that.

  • @Valik said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2994936#Comment_2994936

There's a massive difference between skill ceilings, my friend.

Playing against bad survivors and/or being skilled in general does not mean that each and every killer shares the same ceiling.

If you want to make the argument that a good player can make Legion work well - no arguments from me.

But if you're trying to suggest that the best Legion play is just as potent as the best Nurse/Spirit/Dredge plat - it is to speak against the conventional knowledge garnered by millions of aggregate hours of experience accrued by experts and veterans.

Those experta and veteranos are the ones Who do those epic legion plays, my dude.

  • @Anniehere said:

Hard to say because there is no other side objectives.

    But yeah, i think so.

Well, you have totems and chests, which can be very important depending on the killer and his perks, but survivors seem to not care and when they rush and noed appears they rage, blaming the killer for usung It instead of saying " we should have minded secondary objectives".

  • @Valik said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2994681#Comment_2994681

    Not at all the truth.

Some killers are certainly and clearly superior options to others.

To suggest 'All killers are like that' is to suggest that there is no passive 'tier list' and that Shape, Onyro, and Legion are all just as strong of options as Nurse, Spirit, or Blight.

Yeah, well, seems like you have never seen any god legions on rank 1 before the Buff, because I have, and it is as lethal as a nurse with long blinks or a Spirit with ring.

What exactly is considered "genrushing". I don't really understand when people say genrushing is a problem do they just mean survivors aren't supposed to work on gens. It's confusing

Having three gens done in less than a minute is genrush.

  • @Valik said:

Maybe not totally Over-Powered, but I can see him being tuned down a bit in the future.

As it is, he isn't particularly powerful in the hands of incapable killers. But with the right perk combinations with his abilities - he can be extremely difficult to play against, which may illicit some tweaks in a few months time.

Pretty much like every killer. If you are good enough with any of them you are almost unbeatable.
