What if Dwight doesn't have Iron Will or Urban Immersion? Which most people probably won't have because he is most likely the first character people will level up.

Ooh thats pretty tough. Id say use bond to find when a team mate is injured/in chase and try to stay near them. Premonition to help find where the killer is coming from or a key with blood amber along with playing on a dark map with dark clothes. Itll deff be harder than urban evading everywhere but it can be done!

Camp behind a camping Leatherface (or any killer doing it). I know it's stupid, but it can work depending on how much tunnel vision the killer has

Thats a good one! Very cheesy but it might actually work!

Well then it is probably bug, hard to tell.

Lets try few more times and then report as bug i gues.

Yeah i mean as far as my experience protection hits are always wonky im hoping its just me tho and not a common bug considering its an archive challenge now

If u get downed right after unhooking, u got probably stack for protection hit...if u unhooked that survivor while in terror radius u won't get "safe unhook".

It didn't prock a protection score event AND it didn't give me the archive either so it was definitely a stack for unhooking ):

  • @Shaai1 said:

    Was it actually safe unhook?

I got the score and the stack to wglf, so as far as the gane says yes.

  • Been there done that! Did I main dwight just because we look like twins and hed be easy to cosplay? Maybe so

    1a271153-20f0-4e58-b746-769e2a2e1bd1.jpg

That being said if you feel like cosplaying a character, even if you dont have the "right" body type, please feel free to go ahead and do it! Cosplay is all about having fun and creating! As long as you remain in good taste you can be anyone you wanna be ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

  • Good post op every day im subjected to steves hentai moans is another day i consider uninstalling. All steves need to run iron will as a public service

  • It counters pretty much anything that causes survivors to scream, such as infectious, iron maiden, getting caught in bear traps, docs shock therapy, that one nurse add on, clown gas, and spies from the shadows.

Its an odd perk that has its uses but its situational!

  • Op this made me wheeze with laughter thank u for this

  • Yeah I get you there! I wouldn't call you a baby killer I'm sure when you're put with survivors of your actual skill level (green) you'd play very effectively.Im a yellow rank killer and i consistently get matches with purple ranks on ps4 all the time. To the point where i dont bother playing killer until rank reset.

Even as survivor i keep getting matched with yellow rank killers (my swf is purple) and the matches just arent fun! Because the killer isn't having fun and we just end up genrushing with barely an bp or a pip

The matchmaking is such a huge problem, especially for killers who are consistently getting places with survivors who are just above their skill level. One or two could be doable but a full team and swf is just Crushing and it makes playing killer feel like a punishment. I know they wanna slow lobby times but matchmaking needs a stronger hardcap between ranks. Mid yellow should not get purple and green should not get red! You are absolutely allowed to be frustrated because it is frustrating to deal with!

  • I don't know what the process is to replicate it but I've noticed it a couple times while i wasn't running iron. Audio can be really odd too sometimes when working on a gen if i pan the camera to a wall at a certain angle the gen noises are muffled? Cant imagine why its all weird since adding oni

  • I like to play poor mans deliverance with ace

    Up the ante

    Slippery meat

And whatever perk for the last two. Theres just something satisfying about getting hook jumps with no broken status.

  • Im really interested in the possible killer because im Fairly certain shes based off the real life serial killer belle gunnes! As far as the survivor goes i like the idea too it would show us more about the entiry and all! I hope its followed up!

  • Personally ive always wanted iridescent head to mean infinit hatchets instead of one shots. I think it would be way more interesting and less disheartining to go against than a one shot with broken hitboxes.

  • Tbh i know i disconnect because i get Very, very angry. Like actually hurt myself angry. Not to mention I do have the mindset of "i paid 30 for this game i will have fun" and if a game isnt fun i really wanna go before it gets worse yknow? But thats a personal issue

Its really not a mature response I know but dcing is an easy way out of a frustrating situation for the most part. Like, getting found first isnt a big deal but getting found first multiple games in a row due to bad luck makes me wanna dc out of PureRage.

But in general i think a lot of dcs are from people who have decided the game isnt goin well and wanna load into another, hopefully better, game asap. That or often people trying to deramk quickly since thats the most effective and quick way.

Dcs are deff not a mature or graceful response, and they should be punished more. I prefer a suicide on hook over a dc any day

  • While there will always be conflict in team games dbd is unique in a way that the playerbase will ALWAYS be mostly seperated. In team games like overwatch or cod or Whatever the game is the same from both perspectives, but in dbd killers experience a vastly different set of issues than survivors and vice versa since theyre basically two different games.

Killer mains want keys nerfs because they're more likely to get hatch escapes that keep them from "winning", and for survivors many have never played a game with a mori or gotten genrushed as killer. It really gives both sides an us against them mentality that leads to toxic and unfun experiences on both sides.

Tbh i don't think theres much that can be done about the community at this point. Dbd is a game best played where everyone can have fun its just taken too seriously. Lots of killers see it as "I need a 4k to win" and gey sweaty. It leads to slugging, tunneling and facecamping which sure say they are legitimate strategies like you're a cod player in 2008.

At the end of the day we are all playing a game together to have fun. If a killer gives a good chase, keeps pressure and makes me as a survivor sweat, even if I die i consider it a win. And as killer if a survivor out plays me but I still got a good chase its win.

This got out of hand oops, but in general i don't see toxic ever really stopping from the community because of how this game is set up. Which is a shame, but you gotta pick your battles.

  • As doctor when walking i around i like to spam swap between treatment and punishmemt mode. It feels like i go faster but I doubt i do haha!

As survivor i enjoy hitting my head ons and for basement saves.

  • I think one shots on killers that don't usually have one shots are very antifun. I think irihead should be changed to be infinite ammo instead of instadown, but eh to each their own

  • I feel your second point very hard, just today i took off the unhook challenge because its a almost impossible to beat a meg with sprintburst to a hook and put on a different one only to get a farming killer the next match.

So many of these are attainable by circumstances that are hard to emulate. Yes there are some basement matches that go down like this, yes i have gotten 3 unhooks in a egc, but to facilitate those circumstances in the short duration of time the rift is open is asking A Lot.

This will make matchs very, very unfun because killers will wanna do their challenges same as survivors but those challenges call for really toxic/unfun/mean gameplay that will more likely drive away players than bring them in. Single match challenges are difficult BECAUSE theyre single matches. They dont need more circumstances like egc to up the ante, they could just be more numbers.

Also i never even thought about the rift shard reward going away. I hope they either up the bp or add shards bcs as much as i want lore i can't play that toxic for it.

It's not my job to be nice to a survivor because their teammate totally screwed them over. If I were in that situation my anger would be fixated on my teammate and what the killer decides to do is their own choice.

Often survivors get away with this type of thing, or assume they will, because they assume the survivor will have BT and not even waste a swing on them, but sometimes you will, or sometimes you'll get the 2 hits you need.

Me personally? I'll just slug the survivor that was farmed on the ground, hook the other guy, and go and find one of the other two survivors. That at least is as fair as I can be and it spares them a death hook.

I get you there! I personally don't blame the killer either, though i do appriciate the small mercys haha. Very pragmatic way of dealing with it!

  • Noed is a very cheap perk tbh, same with adrenaline. Theres nothing wrong with using them but they are very much crutch perks that help players survive/get kills when they struggle in other areas. In the same way noed can be destroyed by breaking all totems, adrenaline can be useless if youre already at full health in the endgame. Both take up a slot that can be used for something and are high risk high reward perks.

Personally the only change id like to give noed is a notification sound or exposed cue as soon as the totem activates rather than when someone is hit with it, but thats a bias as a survivor. I dont use adrenaline bcs im usually full health by endgame but im sure there's nerfs it could get.

Tl:dr: i think noed is a cheap perk for killers who have trouble putting pressure on the survivors but its not op

  • I think it mostly comes from dbd not being well optimized for consols. I dont know the real foibles of how games are ported, but I suspect that the coding in consol versions of dbd aren't very fine tuned/polished. They focus on bugs that arrive in updates instead of focusing on base issues like frame drops or hit boxes. Which is understandable but will cripple them in the long run.

Not to mention console does suffer with aiming sensitivity but thats more of a general problem with consols than a dbd issues. You just cant get the same level of sensitivity and control with thumbsticks compared to a mouse. Although I will says dbd feels very, very clunky even at full sensitivity which is Annoying because its harder to 360 or hit survivors on a quick turn.

In general I think dbd consol players face relatively normal issues when it comes to consol vs pc but the issues with the game itself just make them a lot worse. Which is why i hope if crossplay is implemented its swith/ps4/xbox only because the pc playerbase has superior movement.

Size matters some for survivors, but the real kicker is sound. Some survivors are loud as hell, while others barely make a sound. My man Ace is extra quiet.

Ooh yeah i see that too! I almost always run iron on david because hes literally incapable of shutting his mouth. Ace has this weird pregnancy breathing thing but i think he's the quietest survivor.

  • @TheGorgon said:

Size matters a lot for killers. The plague often has half of her body exposed while looping, the hag and pig are different in the sense that they're smaller. In difference, survivors really only have a difficulty with their own POV.

Yeah i have noticed doing dailys as hag that she is TINY and i can barely see survivors over objects. But i guess it does help for stealthing.

  • I'd honestly love to see if/how bhvr monitors which survivors are played most often since theyre basically skins. I assume its probably based on which characters get more cosmetic purchases, which explains wht characters with more cosmetics just end up getting more outfits since people have more to buy.

It really does bum me out adam only has 3 full outfits besides the color variants and a sweater ): at least his outfits are good?

  • Kindred is capped at 24 meters, which is what you get with one open handed.

It works with all distance based aura reading perks, like bond, empayhy, deja bu, detectives hunch. Amd it stacks with other open handeds

  • I have a huge love for all of Ace's perks! I know on their own or not purple theyre kinda mediocre but somethin about up the ante + slippery meat calls to me.

Oh and when i first started playing i really like deja vu since o was bad at finding gennys, since then ive upgraded to detectives hunch

To what end? What is the counter? Without running plunder or Ace in the Hole, chests are pretty meh. That said, I don't want to discourage survivors from taking the extra time to search one. That is more time away from a gen.

I mean why not? Fun, adds a spicey new twist to a standard gameplay mechanic. I usually go for chests when im injured and cant find another survivor to heal so the idea of them being trapped would be Fun. Gives killers extra things to do while patrollin
