  • Ive kinda come to the same conclusion lol. Used to enjoy some of the rounds, its what keeps you going back in. Now its just "oh that ones a team slugger" next "oh that ones tunneling off the hooks" next "oh they are camping me to death in the basement". 21 rounds in a row youd think id find atleast one fun balanced game. Nope. It really has changed. Even the words "go next" has changed from (you gave it a shot, got caught and died, oh well go next) to (oh its one of those killers.. over here! Hook me so i can go next)

  • Think i saw a houndmasters dog gdt stuck and couldnt be sent just rappidly barking, so they dc'ed

  • I dont mind most of it. The castlevania one had me devastated that my favorite characters were forced into cosplays instead of legendaries (ex:shanoa) so ive been sour about it since it was announced. This one atleast just has new skins that stand out from each characters entire wardrobes. I dunno why they keep reusing that hair for yun jin tho lol thats like the 3rd time is been in a rift.

  • My theory for the castlevania characters all ending up as cosplays leads me to believe they couldn't afford to make them legendaries, so they only chose their favorites and scrapped the rest for 50% off. Which i found strange as its the first licence they didn't make the extra characters into legendaries for, but even stranger is noone seemed to notice or complain but i picked up on it immediately (because i really wanted shanoa and simon belmont lol)

  • I find i run out of content too quickly and have to wait months for anything new to keep things going. This rift for example i finnished it like a month and a half ago, and got trevor and dracula almost to prestige 63 each, since the last rift. And all we had in between was the houndmaster nobody liked and a freddy "update" instead of rework.

  • No your not. Some streamers are very critical. Some people play the game a billion times and know if a round is going south fast and don't feel like trying because the killer is playing in an unfun way (lots of go nexts from that). I had a round against ghost face who hooked me first after a bit of looping, and right as i get on the hook, a renatto flies over an pulls me off right infront of ghost face, so naturally i go down quick having nowhere to go. Hooked and AGAIN renatto pulls me off infront of him and at that point im like why bother. I stil ran but only got near a pallet then downed an killed, the sable is a streamer with a flashlight, the jane is a p100, she kinda gets fed up with the round too and goes next once caught, renatto and sable cant do much, both get slugged and hooked. Then sable the streamer starts going off on jane in the chat saying stuff like "you are p100 and for what? Why do you play like that?" And i started to defend her with "i have like 3 p100s you don't see me saving the game lol" and she goes off on me too. Some people just arent worth worrying about. Its not you, the chaos of the game goes however it wants and the ones who care too much about winning seek someone to blame. And i believe streamers can sometimes be more judgy because they have an audience watching them.

  • I loved sadako 1.0 because i only use her for stealth mechanics and actualy still win, without tunneling/slugging the whole team/spamming tvs for instakills. Now she just spams tvs for instakills in every round instead of being a fun stealth killer to play against. And playing as her i feel like i shouldnt teleport too much to avoid being seen as a spammer.

As for chucky i remember being able to loop him an entire game without getting hit even when he could scamper under pallets without dashing and through windows. He wasnt that bad, the only hard part of looping him i found was his size and on/off switch of his red stain. So i was surprised when they nerfed him.

  • I would like to see Shanoa and Simon Belmont as Legendaries for Trevor (yes i know they are alredy cosplays but i want the full characters as they are my favorites of the entire licence).

I am also hoping the new daily system they mentioned last anniversary will be engaging enough with new stuff to do every day/week/month so that you don't feel like youv'e completely run out of stuff to do until a new rift or event (as ive 100%ed the challenges/achievements ages ago).

Hoping for prestige rewards as i alredy have a few p100s

Hoping and looking forword to new rebecca chambers cosmetics

If they were to do an anime collab id hope for tokyo ghoul and pray for Rize

  • If its a post about licence content it kinda feels like it gets ignored lol. I once made a post asking if they could someday make simon belmont and shanoa into legendaries later on if they go to add more castlevania conent, as those were my favorites from the franchise and would gladly buy them as legendaries. But without somekind of reply or something to just mark your suggestion as read, i'll never know if they ever took it into account on a possibilities list or just ignored it and are done with the licence.

  • I recall que times being absolutely bonkers as well like 20-40 minutes to get into each match. Thats the part that drove me away other than the way the game was set up so that the monster prettymuch has to do thinga that make you unable to do anything - in order to get you down. So most of the teens fighting was either ganging up or camping around corners which made it seem like everyone had to win through cheap shots on either side.

  • Not sure how to post the full page like everyone else is doing lol it said Xenomorph / Aestri

Maybe it is rose coloured glasses but damn I started playing in 2017 and had my best memories on this game I miss the old chaotic nature the idgaf about balance and just want to have fun mindset I remember being able to play both sides for as long as I want without getting burnt out after a hour or two

Like when you get found ur prettymuch dead unless you could loop lol somehow getting killed fast and going to the next one was more fun then having wesker fly over to your hook everytime you get pulled off and waits for ur endurance to come off and puts u back on 2 more times in a row before touching anyone else like they chose you personally lol. The end of every round was either you had fun and got out or you had fun till you died. Now it just takes everything not to say anything in the chat when the guy that slugged everyone with knockout says "gg"

  • More points = try to win harder. Its the same reason you get gunned down everytime you try to bring a party streamer to be nice for everyone. And in this case its "well my random build isnt great or they all dont have antislug/tunnel perks so let loose." Might even be a good example of what would happen if they made casual/competitive modes, the tryhards would swarm the casual mode for easy wins.

Queue times mean the opposite of what it seems you think. The side with longer queue times is the side with more players waiting for members of the other side to play. In other words, longer survivor queues means there's not enough killers for the survivors, not the opposite.

Sorry i meant to say the que times were taking longer even with survivor incentive bonus, as if less people are interested in playing chaos shuffle in general.

  • Shes kinda like clown in a few ways. 1: her power involves speeding herself or slowing down survivors 2: pallets are the main thing that help you in a chase. 3: she lacks map pressure like clown but slight less because she can send the dog to scare some people away from objectives before reaching it. 4: because the gens fly while playing as her , the houndmaster players verrrrry often resort to hard tunneling right off the hooks or slugging the team to win. Otherwise she has one of the most busted "just leave" powers that ive seen so many people die to while t bagging at gates.

  • Ive noticed its getting so bad that the survivor que times are much longer than killers lol. Round 1:wallhacking tunnel nurse. Round 2: wallhacking tunnel freddy. Round 3: Teamslugging wesker. Round 4: proxy camping/tripple tunneling clown. Why bother trying for round 5 lol

  • Apparently freddy was just an "update", more than tweaks less than rework. His first change was a rework back then. Skull merchant they said "Rework" so for all we know they might finally get rid of drones or not be stationary objects anymore. As for who id like to see reworked, oddly enough itd be xenomorph. Sure hes strong ifu habe good aim and sucks against harcore swfs lile nearly every killer on the board. But something about the tail and turrets gameplay loops seems very annoying, not doctor annoying but noone ever looks forword to playing against a xeno, but they wont dc to him either for some reason. I was hoping xeno wouldve came out as a stealth killer as thats primarily what the xenos are known for.

  • I gave up on licence content being good when they made simon belmont and shanoa just cheaper cosplays instead of legendaries like every other licence lol theyve been cutting corners quite obviously since then.

  • Shes one of the rare horror icons that can scare you with sound effects alone, might even be the creepiest sound effects in all of dbd lol. I hear a lot of "but we alredy have her in the game tho?" But if you watch both movies back to back you understand kayako is allot more intimidating and much deadlier. For example sadako gives you a whole week to make a copy of the tape etc, and if u fail that she comes out of a tv specificly and then scrambles your brain with her mind lol. But kayako you dont even have to be involved with the house just meet someone whose been in there and you are dead no matter what, and she will come at you from anywhere even your own clothes, at any time. And then who knows what she does to kill you. Plus the sound effect she makes adds allot more to her approach. Yea id play her for sure lol. Not saying shes better just different in several ways.

  • I tend to play the same way on both sides as you mentioned. Usually just bringing an altruistic healing build and helping people out where i can, barely ever touch flashlights unless im playing alan wake. 90% of the soloq survi or rounds are exactly as described, it gets quite tiring when the killer just mows someone down off the hook (usually me) till im dead and then its prettymuch hopeless and over and everyones bored and mad except the guy that caused the situation. And then on killer im either wiping the floor with people all the time or getting a swat team that might as well be playing for some championship and everyones experienced those by now lol the only in between would be an incompetent bully squad. But yea, its getting pretty sad that you only ever enjoy about 5% of your matches (in the entire day of playing). The soloqs blame the killers for playing how they do, the killers blame the swfs for playing how they do, the swfs just have fun while the other 2/3rd arent having a good time. Would be nice to see them change just something about swf so that its not causing this chain reaction. ill admit i play with my friend for about 2 days of the week, but they are kind of newer to the game and we end up with the soloq experience anyway.

  • Theres supposed to be a rework to the dailies system something about dailies/weeklies/monthlies board or something. Sometime between now and next anniversary as its on the roadmap

  • I find the auto bloodweb loves to waste all the items you really want like party streamers, escape cakes, brand new parts etc or even the same on killer u never get ur biggest addons. So what i end up doing is click the stuff i want then auto each time. Ive done it for about 3 p100s alredy

  • I can say its one of skull merchants/trappers best maps and allot of myers bring it too, ive seen a trickster bring it twice because he likes bouncing the knives off all the walls in tight corridors.

  • I wouldnt say they are subtle lol definitely speed hacks. I once had a survivor teleport to my location everytime i went to pick someone up and it didnt matter if i was looking at a wall or the opposite direction, they could blind from any angle, instantly, with infinite flashlight. Then when it came to catching them at the gate they were on the leaver and could not be hit, the exact milisecond the door open they teleport through to the end of the exit zone.

  • I wouldnt say ive been tracking it but it feels like 80% of my matches in solo que have either the whole team getting slugged, someone being triple tunneled at about 4-3 gens leaving everybody helpless or just completely demoralized and unwilling to bother anymore, being camped to death, or totem meta causing everyone to get moried since they couldnt break the totem. Otherwise it feels like 20% of the time i have a fun round and make it out the gates or hatch. Interested in this statistics email they are supposed to send.

  • I tried to play survivor yesterday and i literally had 10 straight rounds of knockout sluggers. Went and played another game for a while, came back, another knockout slugger. There was no point in playing survivor at all, and most of the time someone had antislug stuff on. It does nothing but buy you an extra minute or 2.

  • I just miss old freddy from launch.

  • If it wasnt a rework itd be called a tweak like they did with myers recently.

  • From my experience people disconnect from skull merchant because they are used to them tunneling off hooks n stuff, not much so about them being hard to play against. Twins people disconnect because tho they are rare, most often when u do get a twins the round will end with all 4 people slugged and bleeding out (ive experienced it about 4 or 5 times now). As for franklin weave combo it was the most annoying meta a survivor could play against when it first came out to the point where people stopped bringing items altogether, as sure the counter is just leave ur item in the corner but franklins often ended up leaving the items everywhere, people still find it quite annoying to this day. the reason nurse and blight doesnt get much for disconnects is because most people still thing of them as a killer that isnt entirely annoying to go against and they might even win just like any other average killer. My friend mains trickster and apparently gets allot of auto dcs as well because people don't enjoy getting mowed down out in the open feeling like there was nothing they could do etc, but everytime ive played him its a real struggle to stop the gens from flying. As for scratched mirror myers the people who play him that way think most people enjoy the jump scares but in reality allot of players find it very annoying to have a killer constantly come at you around every corner nipping you and leaving etc it becomes very tedious and sometimes leads to matches lasting like 45 minutes or more. (In short its extremely annoying to some players)

  • As a 100 xeno i can confirm that he only feels very strong at first. And against coordinates teams they can just dance around and fly out the gates. I would love to see mtly mmr to know where my killers are at and which one is more likely to have harder players

I'm russian and you are not wrong. I don't want to say what I will say, but I clearly playing different game in my region.
    – Russian and Arabian players are by far most sweat players in this game, and one of the most skilled players too. What I see on streams in, for example, US region is fight with babys most of the time, while me sweating every 2 or 3 games even on killers I didn't play for 6 months or facing 4 slowdowns Nurse after 3 games lost in a row in soloq.
    – One of the most popular cheat creator is from UA or RU and it's more common here because of easy access to it. The fact you could claim free DBD on Epic was a huge failure, you still can buy new account with this game for less than 1$, if previous one was banned.
I honestly sometimes dodge lobby from my region too, when I'm not in the mood to have tournament with my meme build. Because as soon as I see comp Ace/Renato in the lobby, I know I will see: Azarov Key offering, 20 second chances, 2-3 Syringes, 5-6 minutes match. Cheaters are not THAT common to me, btw.
I just want to say, there are a lot of very nice and chill players in our countries have too. Unfortunately, a loud and nasty minority casts a shadow over the rest.

I have a friend in russia that says he cant even play dbd if he wanted to since allot of games are blocked over there and simply do not show up on steam etc. But even he seems like he would just play as optimal as possible like tunneling off hooks lol because i usualy vent to him sometimes and he ends up agreeing with the person im venting about usually lol. Aside from that, killers with chinese lettering for their names, 99% of them have triple tunneled and slugged the rest of the team and did all manner of griefing, if given the chance. i just suppose they have a very different gaming mindset over there where all that matters is winning to have fun.

  • Ive also 100%ed and my tip for maintaining 100% since it always gets new achievements every chapter, is to adept the new killer on launch day, and if theres a challenge tied to that killer like escaping with vecnas eye/hand your best chance to get it is also right when the new killer is added as they will be played more often. Otherwise seeing a vecna and escaping with the item now is quite rare

  • Ive seen a pinhead yesterday with auto aim hooks. Like anyone thats played pinhead knows you need almost a full second to aim and fire once placing the chains but this guy would place and fire immediately and never miss no matter what direction or elevation the survivor was from the portal and he wasonly like prestige 6 lol. Was very sketchy

  • I believe they kinda bugged things up by making instant snowmen and snowmen roaming around the trial into 2 different types without specifying which in the challenges. First thing i did was go to a snow pile, made a snowman, walked a step and jumped out of it, challenge done.

  • Lunar new year was canceled and replaced with blood moon event. The cosmetics were also made always available which means they probly arent bringing it back

  • Making each map turn into the upside down version for whenever you play against demogorgon. Kinda like how freddy/dredge/dracula can manipulate how the place looks.

  • Castlevania Legendaries of Simon Belmont and Shanoa.

New dailies/weeklies/monthlies system thats supposed to be happening before next anniversary.

A new Rebecca Chambers cosmetic for the first time since launch. Or even some legendaries for her like Ashley(re4remake) / Moira Burton(revelations2) / Sherry Birkin (Re6)

Still hoping for a Predator killer chapter.

A hook rework to prevent suicides.

Wishful thinking that i hope they don't just rework freddy's power but fully update/replace the licence to the original movies

Basic badges and banners for all existing characters + prestige rewards to showcase your favorite characters.

  • Their shop doesnt have much. Nothing i want to go out of my way to order anyway. As for funko pops they canceled a deal with dbd so Youtooz has been making them, so far 12 characters. But they are also like an order only limmited supply based on how many orders they get. Will never see it in a store. But yea wil how many players they have and how much money the game makes off constant chapters and cosmetics, im surprised they have next to nothing in terms of official representation.

  • Was hopinh to see when they will rework the dailies system into the dailies/weeklies/monthlies with rewards stuff they mentioned last anniversary

  • The core problem would be the slugging playstyle. I wouldnt say its the twins fault they just have an ability for knocking down injured survivors. But against some playing them normally, there wouldnt be much of a point in using victor if the person you are chasing is alredy injured because they will gain distance/time on gens/ and a free kick to victors face while you gain 1 injure survivor slightly more injured lol.

  • An example of the casual/competitive mindsets clashing every game, you bring healing perks because you like to support others. Killer proxy camps and tunnels right off the hook. Then slugs everyone else. (Apparently your fault for not bringing anti tunnel/slug perks or blinding items). So you bring a full loadout to combat someone trying to win just as hard. Next killer either gives up or disconnects because they arent able to catch you or something and the gens are flying.EVen when you play killer you probably start out casual just going for hooks, do a daily, maybe a challenge, and you end up with a ttv swat team literaly calling out your every fart like its a tournament. They fly out the gates t bagging and everything even though you played by the casual survivor rulebook. So you change ur loadout including noed or something to combat a swf and go all out. Not 1 generator done survivors swearing at u in the chat for tunneling or camping or 3 genning or slugging etc. Since every player on either side equips 1 of 2 mindsets they rarely ever create and equal fair game where everyone just enjoyed the match regardless of outcome.

  • Yes id love to see that perk dealt with. Guy above says its too hard to hook people. Literaly knockout prevents anyone from seeing where they went down so they cant go mess with you while u try to get ur hook. But instead thinks of "winning" as bypassing the entire game for minimal points because bleedout exists. It makes me sick that people have just stopped caring about other players, survivors included. I once had a dredge chase me at the start of the round and finally get me down after 2 gens, meg comes and breaks the hook i wiggle free. Chases me for another generator, gets me down, meg flashlight blinds him i wiggle free. So i ran straight to a hook and turned to look at him like "here you go. Take it." And he nodded im approval and the meg was just dumbstruck. Anyway, this perk does get abused for the wrong reasons and could really use a change.

  • I see maybe 1 afk or bot killer once every 90 rounds. Im sure if u keep escaping the afks you wont see them as often anymore

  • You have the right idea. Most console killers play to win at all costs because theyve never even seen the complaints in the end game chat. And 90% of the time when the killer says gg first its mostly taken as an insult especially if any tunneling / teamslugging / facecamping / griefing was involved during the round. And more than enough times the people that are the victim of 5 gen tunneling or something, they will wait the whole match to say their piece to the killer even tho its more optimal to just go to the next que. I believe it would be better off removed. If the survivors wanna talk they can type in the lobby or discord. Part of what made dbd less frustrating im the early years is the rounds were quick. Killer found you, u get caught ur done, next trial. Somehow it didnt bother people that much to get killed off quickly. Now we have so many chances to keep going that it feels personal every time the killer just tries to get 1 person out faster for a much easier round.

  • I was playing against a killer that tunneled me out at 5 generators for being the only one without a flashlight. Looked at their stream while they were still in the round, the guy is teaching people in his stream to tunnel and that its ok to tunnel 1 and slug the rest, no need to worry about player satisfaction at all winning is all that matters, and the chat was just cheering him on. Theres nothing you can say to people like that to get them to stop playing that way, but for some reason its very easy to convert people to that playstyle. The fact that people care less and less about the other players around them is what makes the game feel more toxic. Ive even met allot of killers that don't even realise everyone in the lobby is mad at them and they will say gg<3 as if anyone else had a good time or just some kind of cheap taunt, and then they get confused by the verbal explosion that follows lol

  • Game goes however it wants sadly. Sometimes youl be on survivor and first thing 2 people start throwing the match just standing there getting downed. So then you expect the killer might give you a break because you were still trying to play etc. Nope. You cant expect the killer to care as you dont know what theyve been through nor how they like to play. Likely the first "break" theyve gotten in a while too so they just mow everyone down. And likewise on killer you play "honorably" and "by the survivor rule book" and you expect they will respect you. Nope. T bags, bragging and laughing and clicking all the way, you cant expect survivors to care either as you dont know what kind of killers theyve been up against before you or how they like to play. So either way the best thing you can do is hope they care and have some honor, but if they don't, immediately stop caring about them as well. Like the bming ace, easy enough to just ignore them like they are invisible while the others go down quicker because he wont take hooks for them. Once hes alone and the hatch is closed, and you see him before he gets to a gate. Hes dead no matter what. If he gets out oh well, let him sit there at the gate while you take a quick break in the middle of the map lol

  • Ill admit at times he does feel frustrating to play against because you can stare straight at him point blank and he will turn around and fully mark you before you can even break him out, and they know this and abuse it. But on the other side of things being able to 99 someone then instadown before theu realise you are on them with a mark does feel rewarding for playing stealthy without being noticed.

  • Future invocations being able to set 4 super weapons off for the rest of the round at the price of 1 person being slightly easier to catch. Killer cant reverse the effects either like breaking a hex or kicking a boon out. It would be pretty unfair.

  • Probably a common knowledge thing but as survivor whenever thr killer is closing in out in the open, its possible to swerve left then right or right then left in a quick movement wich tends to throw most console killers/some pc killers off making them miss their attack due to slower turning controls. Doesnt work everytime because the counter to it is to just close distance and not turn to hit the target, but it can take them a few tries to adjust to that. When you have no other option that just might give you the extra distance.

    • 1) Giving the survivors the ability to kick the killer anytime he doesnt play by their rules isnt going to work well either. 2) the knights minions do have some quirks that be exploited like running to a vault window but skipping it and turning, the minion will slow down a bit, pallets also slow them down a bit, and the flag can stop the chase and give you endurance if u manage to grab it after it fully charges, the rogue with the dagger is the only one that runs faster and is hardest to escape from but doesnt last long. Grabbing a survivor off a hook also grts rid of the minion chasing you. And you can go to youtube and type in "how to counter ____ in dbd" and you will get videos showing you how to loop and counter certain killers 3) survivors have a way of abusing perks in groups and everytime they add something a little strong, every survivor in the game ends up bringing it forcing it to get nerfed after a time. For example made for this allowed to run slightlt faster while injured. Everrrryone had it on. Then there was buckle up +for the people combo that let survivors instantly pick eachother up giving both endurance for 10 seconds, even if the killer just knocked them down after a long chase. 4) as far as the tutorial goes, the only thing that will remain constant after hundreds of changes, is the objective of the game. Everything outside of that is entirely based on player behaviours since its an online only game. Best way to learn is experience and videos of other peoples experience. 5) the lobbies are alredy somewhat ranked. But trying to seperate ranked players who are playing to win and casual players who are trying to have fun is prettymuch impossible as the ones trying to win love playing against the ones trying to habe fun because its an easy win. 6) there are about 1001 reasons to not add voice chat in dbd besides discord. Some of them include the fact that dbd has one of the most toxic communities in gaming making 5% of the voice chat usefull and the other 95% for argueing, harassment, bullying, and straight up annoying people or making them uncofortable with playing. Like for example sitting on a generator with a nancy and then some 9 year old kid starts swearing his head off at you because you missed a skill check, or people blaring music for the whole 15 minute round, or peoples kids crying in the background, or people taunting and bickering at eachother everytime they reach a pallet or something. 95% of it will be negative with random people, its only good for people you know and want to talk to in game. And it could also get awkward when some people have mic and others dont. And one of the most casual parts of dbd is the fact that your team mates are just the characters they are playing, you know nothing more about them. But now you will know all the sables are 40 year old men lol
1 … 37 38 39 40 41 … 46
