I'll never understand waiting at hatch to teabag when the match has been a loss for the team. I'll fast vault or drop a pallet to give killer an indication of where hatch was and leave immediately.

The killer is not the host, so even if they have horrible connection, it won't cause you to rubberband. That is entirely due to your connection with the server.
You keep telling yourself that kiddo.

You rubberbanding has nothing to do with the killer.
It definitely had something to do with it. I've got really fast internet speed and hadn't experienced anything like it since 2020 bit go off random internet expert, lmao.

Now, Now just cause you're losing doesn't make the killer "OP"
Seems like you're the one with a skill issue dying to an m1 killer
I haven't died to one since the update but I can still consider her OP now. My skill is just fine.

You would think that’s the case, but the issue is survivors can only remove and insert tapes into TV’s that are on, and because you are constantly teleporting, there usually aren’t a lot of TV’s for them to run to and they have to go out of their way, you can even plan this and cut them
off before they can place the tape, since a single hit destroys the tape. It’s like playing against a pig who puts traps on you throughout the game, then blocks the jigsaw box you were working on. She really doesn’t need her iridescent, and I was worried she would too, but it really doesn’t hurt her as much as you think, and at worse, you absolutely get more slowdown value because survivors cannot ignore condemnation now.
Frankly, I kind of saw the complaints coming after playing the first game, because she’s so effective now compared to only being effective in a specific way before, people aren’t going to be ready for it. I will say she probably has THE single most fun exchange between any killer and survivor now (or at least it feels that way from the killer side). Just the intensity of her mechanic, mixed with her being stealth, makes her feel so legitimately terrifying when played well.
I'm pretty sure we can still insert tapes to TV's that are off.

4 survivors shouldn't have a problem breaking a 3 gen even when the killer is patrolling it. Survivors usually don't take the time to figure out they're locking themselves into a 3 gen until they've already done it. Maps like Suffocation Pit are a perfect example of this. Survivors will spend all game running to one side of the map while the others do all gens on the opposite side, then lose the match because of it and run to the forums demanding the devs change the game so they can continue to play recklessly.
Except it still happens in swf's. A killer can just spam 3 gens and hold the match hostage regardless. Especially now with the nerfs to prove thyself.
-
I went against a killer who might have been using a VPN today. I kept rubberbanding every chase and it really sucked.
-
She seems more difficult to face now. Maybe you need to see some videos and change up your gameplay.
-
Skill issue. She's OP now.

This sounds like another bailout for survivors playing poorly. Why should they get a bonus for putting themselves in a hard to win situation and why should a killer be punished for capitalizing on their mistake?
Ah yes, a killer of culture who has not experienced a killer who refuses to leave a 3 gen area. Survivors can easily finish 4 gens on the rest of the map but anytime they go near 3 close gens the chase begins and ends once survivor leaves that area. BORING
-
Personally I'll be happy when this update happens and his busted grabs when we're 5 feet through a window, around the corner and then suddenly we're back inside the window in his clutches won't happen anymore. I'm surprised he hasn't been kill switched for that garbage.
-
I survive about 60 to 70% of the time but I run anti tunneling perks.
-
Yes it's different. Ignore anyone who says it's not.
-
People are just never happy. The other side has always got to be nerfed to oblivion.
-
Yup. I switched from my Tapp to Dwight because of it. I'll probably stop leveling him up once I get mid 70s and just start another character. It's dumb to show our prestige or anything before the match starts.

You can report players in the post-game screen by using the option I circled in blue here:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CU4O5QAWTWIW/capture-d-27-c3-a9cran-2023-07-18-174617.png
You can also report players here : https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000942011
We have to do both. If we only do what you circled in blue they do nothing. Bit as an added bonus if you do both they also do nothing. I've had players help killer down me to start a match and bhvr said it wasn't against their rules, lol. I don't think they ban/suspend anyone except blatant hackers.

I can definitely say that it is not a measure to stop cheaters. It might have been an extra hurdle to make it a bit more inconvenient way back in the early days of the game, but this is not why the cap exists today.
These days, the cap exists to pace progress when new content releases. Having goals to work towards helps keep the game interesting, and leveling up the new characters to unlock their perks & add-ons is a goal that most people aim for without even thinking about it. The cap is there to limit how many Bloodpoints you can stockpile so that you can't instantly max out all the new characters the moment they are released.
Still do anyway. The only time I don't have new content maxed within 24 to 36 hours is if it's 3 characters. Most of the people I play with do the same. 4 cake matches bring 150k to 200k bloodpoints per match. With 2 million saved we only need 15 to 20 matches and it's done.
-
It's only bullying if you stick around long enough to read that crap.

Is it wrong to actually enjoy things in the game?
Apparently yes, lol.

@Peanits said:
We dove into this when we removed the Bloodpoint bonuses from BBQ & Chilli and We're Gonna Live Forever, but the gist is: We do not want Bloodpoints to dictate which perks you decide to use. Extra Bloodpoints, especially when the bonus is large, causes a lot of people to use a perk that they otherwise wouldn't have. This creates a situation where people feel the need to run that perk because if they don't, they aren't progressing as fast as they could be. This is not ideal, we want everyone to feel free to use the perks they want- whether they are the ones they consider the most useful or the most fun- not the ones that they need to in order to progress quickly.
This was a different story before the progression overhaul, but these days progression is much faster even without these bonuses. We're gradually phasing them out from various perks as they are updated.
It would have been nice if you would have changed the points system first. It's already difficult for survivors to get bloodpoints when the main strategy for killers is to tunnel survivors out of the the match from the start. If someone is in chase the whole match and can never get on a Gen or totem they don't earn anything in other categories. It's a very flawed system.

They could honestly make it that each devotion level increases your BP cap by like 1 mil. I still don't know why the cap is as low as it is.
I like this idea a lot.

Counterpoint, bring back old hatch. 🤪

70% of my matches are Wesker. It's making the game super boring and stale.

You're gaslighting yourself little bro so if I hop in a custom with a vpn and play this same scenario out with demo or any other killer power the person won't get hit around the corner? Even if this is a specific issue with wesker that happens with low ping it won't change the fact high ping will still cause the same issue.
Lil bro, lol. I'm old enough to be your daddy, maybe grandpappy. Boy. It's been fixed in PTB. I am definitely not joining you to do anything because I know it's a problem that's been fixed. You live in denial like a stubborn child.

Getting hit further away than you should happens with every killer on ping wesker dash is just so fast it makes the issue look worse. The killer is getting old information compared to the survivor on low ping and the killer's information is trusted for the most part. Super high ping basically bypasses pallet stuns since on your screen when you swing and hit the survivor the hit goes through before on your end the pallet being dropped reaches you (speculation). If you've seen killers vpn they basically teleport through the pallet hit you and then get teleported back and sometimes get stunned sometimes not.
It doesn't happen to me. Only with Wesker and it's been fixed in the PTB. No amount of gaslighting by you will convince me that he hasn't been broken for weeks. It didn't happen before the last update so just stop.
-
500 Tapp (plus still 200 Flan)
500 Dwight
250 Kate
And 400 more spread out between other survivors.
-
I play against him often and against killers who know how to play it extremely well. I think too many killers just don't know how to play him effectively so they just complain instead of changing the way they play. I've gone up against a few that just don't put up very many cameras or don't use them at all. Those players get demolished quickly.
-
People are going to gaslight you and act like it happens with every killer but this has been fixed in the PTB and should happen far less.
-
@Shroompy said:
You dont need to pop DH when the killer whiffs the attack, you just gotta make the killer whiff while you have it equiped
Is that new? Because I definitely have had killers swing at me with it equipped and it didn't do anything for the challenge.

I did better pipping in red grades in solo queue than in swf's this time. And I play in pretty teams.

Distortion. Someone told me the other only Jeff mains run it and that made me chuckle as a Tapp main.

come on, no need to be grammar police, anyway it is loosing, so your correction is wrong
Which is correct loosing or losing?
Lose typically functions only as a verb, with meanings related to failing to win or hold onto something; one might “lose a game” or “lose one's temper.” Loose can be used as an adjective ("not securely attached"), a verb ("to free something or someone"), and less commonly, a noun or adverb.
-
I'm a survivor main with about 2,700 hrs playing. Killer is far harder I think. You have to work hard for points and pips and be part of the action 100% of the time. In lower grades for survivors, it doesn't take much to pip, all away from the action. Clean some totems, do a gen, get a save and you've pipped. Did bad in a match? You're on to the next one. Killer has a bad match, they have to wait out the exit gate teabag dance.
-
My matches have been pretty chill. I'm having fun.

I'm on Playstation too and saw that screen. Here's what you need to do. There should be an icon for the DbD event in the bottom right. Hold down the touchpad (the big middle button) until it takes you to the screen where you pick whether you want to play as survivor or killer. You start the match from that screen.
However, I think you need to have a PUBG (Krafton) account to get the code. I played a match and still wasn't able to "Claim Reward," but once I created a PUBG/Krafton account and linked my PSN ID to the PUBG account, the code showed up in PUBG.
Where do you find the code after all that? I've played it 3 times with no code.

Nurse won't have a high kill rate because most people just DC on her now.
-
It's a great change that adds difficulty and excitement. It prevents the game from becoming stale and forces everyone to try different strategies.

Probably the same people several times, otherwise we should see huge drops on Steamcharts after a banwave, like one month suddenly the game has 20k less players.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3203589#Comment_3203589
Your example is the equivalent of "that guy robbed me at gunpoint so Im going to rob him at gunpoint too and cops shouldnt interfere if they see me since Im just paying back", if someone intentionally sandbags you, record and report it, same as if someone commits a crime.
Um thanks? lol. My concern was mostly about being permanently banned and if they could be too. Lmao
-
I agree with this. I don't doubt there will be changes once it's tested out. Some of the comments have been humorous, lol.
-
The sky is falling! 😂😂

I'm a survivor main and that actually seems reasonable to me. I think we're going to see more perks turn base kit in the future. We'd better start getting used to it.

Immediate permanent bans are only for cheating or other serious offenses. For things like sandbagging, inappropriate messages, etc., bans start as temporary and only escalate to permanent through repeated behaviour.
Thank you.

The example would deserve you getting banned. Just because someone else broke the rules doesn’t mean you can too.
That wasn't the point at all, lol.
-
I think it's great but people are going to abuse it. I'm concerned about permanent bans for people who get reported for reacting to someone who sandbags. It doesn't happen very often at all but here is an example.
Another survivor body blocks me at the beginning of the game until killer shows up. Killer downs me and puts me on hook. I'm pissed. Everyone gets to end game. I see an opportunity for revenge and am able to block opening the exit while killer is in range. The sandbagger gets downed and hooked as everyone else leaves. They record only that last part and report me.
I'll be pretty upset if I get banned and have no recourse.
-
I think that's hilarious. Survivor strats get worked over constantly but anytime it happens to killers the sky is falling. You'll get used to it just like survivors have had to.

It wasn't because people constantly slugged, its because it would become the main way to kill off survivors with the new mori mechanic.
lmao
It was a combination of both.
