Or just don't camp and tunnel.
Did you genuinely just forget that you already responded to this?

What if it's right next to the hooked survivor?
It's like Ruin being in the middle of a 3-gen , but worse. At least it would mean that all 4 survivors are still alive and the killer has to split their attention between 4 things.
NOED can happen regardless of player count and the killer only needs to guard 2 things (3 if there's a gate nearby too).
If it's next to a hook, that is definitely an issue with totem spawns rather than NOED itself. I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that those spawns, for multiple reasons, have needed looking at for ages now.
-
Or just cleanse the totem.
-
I mean, you're probably right. If you look at the "lore" behind poltergeists and other malevolent spirits, the idea is that they were mostly regular ghosts that grew to be resentful of the living. Dredge is probably nudging that process along and is just full of a writhing morass of genuinely angry souls that want to harm the living.
-
Ah, of course. Making one portion of the player-base extinct and replacing them with bots seems like such a great way for Behaviour to make money.

Suicide on hooks and DC are mild signs of ``no one wants to play Survivor.''
The reason is because of the killer's unpleasant tactics such as tunneling and slugging
No, it's a significant sign of entitlement. Something doesn't immediately go their way, die on hook and go next. They want to play, they just don't want any kind of challenge. If they didn't want to play, they wouldn't keep re-queuing.

IMHO they need to hit the killers where it hurts the most... their blood points and rank. BHVR can code the game in such a way that if the killer downs or hooks someone back to back, or if they go after the unhooked survivor, they will lose either half their blood points when the match is over or if they would have pipped in the match they lose that pip. BHVR CAN do something about the tunneling but they chose not to and it's disgusting.
They could code that but, more importantly, they can't code a way for you to find a game after no-one wants to play Killer any more.

Well I’ve seen more toxic people hiding their usernames than people actually protected by it
The thing is, you have no idea if people are actually protected by it, because you don't see it. The whole point of anonymous mode is that it keeps the toxicity in-game where it's easier to report and deal with (or it would if you actually used the report feature).

Tunneling needs to stop me and my boyfriend totally agree about that me and him both play dead by daylight and we both play Survivor and killer and I read some of other people's comments and I don't appreciate you guys tunneling when survivors have left your Terror radius and I really hope that dead by daylight does do something about this that way you guys can no longer tunnel just like you can't stand close to the hooks anymore for too long otherwise we can free ourselves so I'm sure they will do something about tunneling when they figure it out sorry to say tunnelers, maybe what they'll do is they'll make us invincible so you can hit us a bunch of times and we won't fall down until you have hit another Survivor or knocked them down I think that's what should happen because it's upsetting a lot of people for sure oh and another thing if you choose to not hook us and stand over us as we're in a dying state because we have some kind of perk that prevents you from being able to put us on to the hook then dead by daylight should also give the last person alive the ability to recover from a dying state whether if you stand over our bodies or leave us to bleed out for to long and then you can't knock us back down and we can open up the exit gate and leave
This is what a 248-word sentence looks like.

I'm sure you were trying to make a point there, but posting a Nurse streak video wasn't the way to do it. "Bring back the Endurance meta because one guy with 10k+ hours got a streak with Nurse!" That video, I guarantee, is not representative of 99.99% of players that have played the game, currently play the game, or will ever play the game.

I've always maintained it should be a time-based perk. For example, someone has 0-100hrs, they get the full effect, maybe with a slight buff over what it is now. Anything above that and the perk's effect gradually decreases until it basically does nothing. Make the perk generic and have it unlocked by default, give Kate a new perk.
Windows is great for learning maps, but there should never be a perk that encourages people to turn their brains off, which is exactly what it's doing. This way, the perk gives players time to get a good grasp of existing maps and allows them to learn core skills that they can then take on to new maps.

I am fine if they buff both perks to be viable by their own. But i am not with the people who just want to kill these perks.
Rght now, if BHVR break this combo both perks will be garbage to use alone. If they take care this problem, i am not against to nerf this combo.
The problem of Buckle Up + FTP is a far greater one than both perks being mediocre if the combo is nerfed. You shouldn't be against the nerf of something objectively unhealthy for the game just because niche perks will go back to being niche perks. Mediocre perks can always be buffed, them being mediocre won't ruin the game in either the short term or long term. The priority should be killing off the combo, like it was with Eruption + Overcharge.
-
Saying Buckle Up and For The People only shine when used together is like saying gasoline and a spark only shine when they're together. They do more than shine, they're downright disastrous and unhealthy. It doesn't matter if it's a two-perk combo, the resultant effect leads to scenarios where it's literally impossible to counter.
If For the People is useless by itself, the answer is to buff it and make it stand on its own as a perk.

Nah,they sometimes called it anticamp. Regardless of the semantics, it does nothing except teach facecampers how to camp better by proxy camping,so this is a killer buff disguised as a survivor buff.
I'll take what the patch notes say over a weird attempt to save face, if it's all the same with you. You misspoke, the atmosphere won't light on fire if you admit it. If there was a "sometimes," it no doubt pales in comparison to the hundreds of times they called it Anti-Facecamp. You said they don't call it Anti-Facecamp, when Behaviour has made it clear more than enough times that they do.
Proxy camping isn't some Holy Grail that facecampers have just discovered since the patch, they're not being taught how to be better at camping; they already know exactly what it is and exactly how to do it. It's not complex. Your willingness to be seen as hard done-by by trying spin a Survivor QOL update as a Killer buff is truly impressive. I hereby award you the gold medal in Mental Gymnastics (it's made of chocolate, sadly).

If you almost exclusively play soloq there is no "higher mmr" because soloq is a Catch-22, only gate escapes increase mmr. So you're going to be consistently escaping more then dying, I don't believe you and even if I were to believe you, then you're just being selfish to escape. Or put simply you're not in "higher mmr" because no one knows their mmr.

Funny they dont call it that and the meter still goes up (albeit slower) when the killer isn't facecamping.

Tunnelling isn't something you can be reported for, neither is slugging. If they were reportable, that's fine because Anonymous Mode doesn't disable your ability to do that. This begs the question: what are they being protected from? I think we both know the answer.

Anonymous Mode sohuld be only for confirmed streamers in my opinion. I could dodge suspect lobbies back in the days. Now it's impossible and it's waste of time playing against a cheater. Also many players use Anonymous Mode to be incognito and say bad words for everyone in every situation - it's just annoying.
Anonymous Mode hides people from the actions of others, not the consequences of their own. If they do something against the rules, they can still be reported.

"Already too strong." Arguably the worst Killer in the game was "already too strong." Thinking his buffs are too much and need toning down is one thing, thinking he's already too strong is a view fundamentally detached from the reality of the game.

So if it's an all solo lobby, no-one gets Kindred; if there's a solo/s with a SWF in the lobby, the solo/s get Kindred? To be fair, I've heard worse. From what I've seen, most people wouldn't be against a no-Killer-aura version of Kindred just being basekit at this point anyway.

I've never expected to see Chucky before I see teaser in twitter. Well, what I want to know is how would he hook survivor?
Going off this, I'd assume the spirit form thing is going to be how they handle carrying and hooking.
-
Maybe the multiple knives thing was a bigger hint than we thought. Chucky is known for using a multitude of weapons, so perhaps his power is some kind of weapon-master ability where he can either find new weapons lying around or gets to swap on a cooldown. Maybe I'm just dumb, or maybe they're saving that for when Jason eventually shows up.

I'm not sure anything has directly interacted with the red stain before outside of Undetectable, so that could lead to some interesting interactions at certain loops. What's obvious is you're making a straw man argument and I will waste no more time with that nonsense.
Even if you had good points to discuss, your belittling and finger pointing sprinkled all over your straw man argument is not only inappropriately personal, but painfully immature and just not how adults should behave when trying to communicate their different point of view. Lastly, it's weird and obsessive that you continue to pretend you know me...please stop, it further discredits your opinion.
Y'see, now I'm interested. I'll ignore your silly accusation of the strawman, because that's not the interesting bit. The interesting bit is that you have 4 posts and I have interacted with you once before now in your entire time here. Once. What are you even on about? Pretending to know you? That I continue to do so? Obsessive? Do you even know what half the words you use at any given time mean?
If you disagree with me, fine - I don't care. If you want to try to establish moral and intellectual superiority in the laziest way possible, still don't care. But don't you ever accuse me of something I haven't done. I don't know you, I've never acted like I do and, after this, I have no desire to know you. You necro'd a topic to climb on your moral high-horse, and that is laughable.

Here, let me help you:
it isn't about nerfing things in the sake of fun and fairness, it's about destroying a character they don't like.
This point is completely demolished, especially when the issue in question is a literal, game breaking exploit.
I'm going to assume -- rightly or wrongly -- that you genuinely have trouble communicating, so I'll just leave you to it, friend. Otherwise I'd have to assume you're just being disingenuous and are intentionally missing the point and ignoring the context of my response, and I'd rather give you the benefit of the doubt here.

Even in 2016 it was fairly obvious that people would sit in voice when playing a game with friends, as far as I am aware that was the intention of the devs, dbd as a party game... So you cannot really say they did not see this issue to begin with.
The 2nd question is what exactly are we balancing around currently? I think according to the latest revealed data about 50% of people are playing solo the rest is in some form of swf, duos being the vast majority, so by creating a voice chat you have a more homogenous group to balance around and not this mix we currently have. You would be able to get a far more balanced version of the game which would be great.
Assuming that people are unable to buy a headset and therefore be able to access voice chat is just ridiculous, I don't know how this goes for the switch but any other console has the option to use voice chats, as far as I know, so I don't really see an issue there? Also voice chat is never required to play the game, even in Dota 2 or other mobas or counter strike and other shooters, just because it is there does not mean you have to use it, so it is not really a barrier that keeps you from playing.
Like before mentioned creating a game and not thinking about voice chats outside of the game being a thing while balancing is just plain stupid... So you cannot really tell me they didn't create it with voice chat in mind, because then they would be really dumb... Like come on... You create a game that you think of as an online horror party game and you don't think of your players being in Skype discord teams peak, there is no way anybody is that stupid...
DBD is an asymmetrical survival horror game, not a party game. And I'm not assuming anything. Some people don't have mics, some people can't afford them, some people don't want to use mics (and that's fine); a mic should not be a requirement, which is what it would be if the game was balanced around verbal communication to provide information. Balancing the game around voice chat would require Killers to be buffed, which would only negatively impact those not on mics. And let's be real here - interacting with this lovely community more than is absolutely required should not be a thing forced upon anyone. And last time I checked, those other games had text chat, so it's not a fair comparison.
If the game was created with voice chat in mind, some time during the last eight-ish years, Behaviour would have added voice chat. Your personal incredulity is not an argument.

After three rounds of nerfs, players are still continuing to play this character specifically and deliberately for '3-genning from the beginning of the game'. This is a 'play style' that the devs have outright said it's 'not intended', and in a large number of cases also falls under 'against the game rules of holding the game hostage'.
At that point saying it's 'not fun to go against' is deliberately misleading, since it falls into the category of the flashlight and locker bug a month or so ago. That was also 'not fun to go against', but it was also breaking the game, holding games hostage, and rightfully so, got kill switched from several directions and fixed quickly.
If people are actually continuing to use a game mechanic or character to regularly go against game rules as well as the devs intention for how the game should be played, that thing needs to be kill switched immediately until it is fixed.
You said so much, yet strangely addressed nothing of what I said. What I said was that people are advocating changes that they know will destroy the character rather than changes to make her more fun and fairer. Essentially kneecapping her and rendering her unplayable won't do either of those things. They're not changes motivated by fairness, they're changes motivated by an historical dislike of the character.
-
If it was only your own MMR that you could see, that'd be pretty neat.

Because the gap still exists? The HUD only reduced it... That's the whole point. The HUD does not give you the same amount of information as being in a voice chat does....it is that simple.
The thing is, the game wasn't designed or balanced around voice chat, and still isn't balanced around voice chat. Because it can't be - a game cannot be balanced around something that isn't provided by the developer, because they don't know how many people have access to it, and they want as few barriers to people playing the game as possible.
To add voice chat to a game close to eight years after release would require a tremendous amount of work to re-balance the game, would cost Behaviour a lot of time and money (both from having to deal with regulating and moderating chat for violations -- in multiple languages -- as well as the implementation costs themselves), and make approximately zero back. It would also cement voice chat as all but essential and add a barrier to playing.
The issue is that there's a discrepancy between voice chat and the information provided by the HUD - it just goes the other way. You have all the information you were intended to have while voice chat has far more. Nothing can be done about voice chat, so Behaviour doesn't make a big deal out of it, but I don't think the solution is to throw more in-game information at players to match it.
-
@LilyPad said:
The problem is that they overbuffed her to ensure she would remain playable and in doing so ensured that should would remain oppressive and not fun to go against.
As others have said, the haste mechanic needs to go, and the tics should decay overtime or be reset when a drone is disabled.
She also needs less drones.
These are all harsh nerfs but if they refuse to change her design I'm of the opinion that she should be kept weak. None of her strengths encourage exciting gameplay. She's just a bloodlusting/attrition killer.
Those changes wouldn't make her weak, they'd literally make her unplayable. At some point, the people advocating ridiculous changes need to start being honest; it isn't about nerfing things in the sake of fun and fairness, it's about destroying a character they don't like.
