It’s not exactly easy to balance a killer to be fun for both sides especially with a unique power like the knight’s. I’d rather a killer launch weak and be buffed than a killer being launched overpowered though
-
I’m personally still optimistic. Besides knight the past year of chapters has been really good and the balance changes are usually good
-
As far as I know it can be an infinite against M1 killers. Not to mention the whole map loops into itself and visibility for killer is poor
Just a terrible map all around

Lobby ping wouldn´t help against a lag switcher.
But yeah, the reason why they removed the killers ping in the lobby is beyong me.
EDIT: Almost forgot: Happy holidays!
It probably wouldn’t but either way it would be nice to know
Happy Holidays!
-
I’d rather it just prioritise central hooks so maps like swamp don’t get ruined by bad scourge hooks
-
@Tsulan said:
You get an ingame icon if the killer has yellow or red ping.
Same goes for survivors that have a bar next to their name.
Sadly they removed the lobby indicator for killer ping while survivor still keeps theirs. It sucks to fight a high ping killer or even a lag switching/VPN killer without knowing beforehand
-
As much as I hate her it’s worth noting that maps are what lead to her insane strength as well. If maps like shelter woods and midwich were more balanced nurse would also be more balanced as a result
-

She's balanced. You just have to play differently against her than other killers. Try thinking outside of the box.
Yep let me break line of sight on shelter woods :)
-
Me running an autodidact build in solo knowing damn well I’ll die before I get 1 stack 😎

Wait, you actually managed to make haddie look good. If only they can make her model look just as good.
The main thing that annoys me is her hair in game being blue. It’s not even a lightning issue they actually modelled the hair blue despite in being white in her lore and in the trailer
Her model could do with a touch up but it’s not awful tbh
-
Haddie and Jane are my two favourites. Both have great lore and good cosmetics (Even if Haddie has barely any)
I love how unique they both are compared to other survivors as well.
-
It’s either this or a hilariously unbalanced mess where 2 killers and 10 total different perks are used. DBD’s tournament scene will always be a joke and I doubt anything will change that

Clown is weak, Sadako is not weak so what are you saying!? If you play Clown 5 games in a row your games will get harder and harder because you have Clown a very underwhelming killer and quite weak but since it takes "way" more to escape a Sadako naturally you will do better with Sadako than Clown! These two killers are in two completely different tiers anyway so how are you comparing them?
I hear what your saying but your talking about playing one specific way! People are not all the same and are individuals so not everyone is going to play the way you described. I certainly dont! I use a completely different set of add-ons and perks than most people (well actually i use your typical gen defense build as one set with Sadako).
Sadako buffed? She is fine the way she is, why does she need to get buffed! Her add-ons are very good, not Myers good but still good!
My point about clown is that personal anecdotes don’t automatically mean that a killer is strong. I don’t think clown up is very strong yet I do well with him most games because a lot of survivors just aren’t good and it only takes 1 bad survivor to cause a game to be a win
My point about sadako is similar. When you play against 4 good survivors they will probably destroy you unless you use good add-ons and focus on condemned kills. Without using that strategy Dredge is generally a better call due to his easier mobility between lockers and his remnant for anti loop which is something she doesn’t have. Sure she has stealth but it ends up being pretty use,Ed’s when you can still see her and hear her in most cases.
Any decent survivor map (Garden of joy, Eyrie of crows, ormond, blood lodge etc) leave sadako no options in chase and no way to reliably get hooks. This is why people focus condemned kills instead

You "dont" need the condemned strategy to be effective or optimal with her because i win with her using a variety of combinations! The killer is nonsense period! What do you mean not healthy for her kit?
People like me dont care about how we win we just do what it takes to win so your comment in this regard is directed for casuals, im not casual im highly competitive! You can down play or make excuses and justify things all you want it doesnt change anything, Sadako is top tier, end of story!
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3300038#Comment_3300038
Yeah she is one of the strongest killers in the game and not weak at all! Here we go....lol What you say is very stupid and makes no sense because "no" killer should do well outside Nurse based on your logic! It makes absolutely no sense! People are mostly bad at dbd so your so called point is unwarranted and meritless!
Therefore you are not only wrong but you are incorrect as well! What you say is false!
I do consistently well as Clown using minimal add-ons (usually yellow or brown ones) does that mean clown is top tier?
Your experience with the killer is valid but your statement about her being top tier is not. The general consensus is that she is below average and this has been shown to be true by people playing her without using the condemnation strategy
By healthy for her kit I mean gameplay that is fun and engaging for both sides. The condemnation strategy requires slugging with no hooks and camping said slugs just enough to keep pressure on one person who will inevitably die. It’s not fun gameplay and shouldn’t be encouraged if we want sadako buffed
-
She’s average unless you do the condemnation strategy which is definitely effective but not healthy for her kit imo. I’d rather buff her current abilities and nerf that strategy
Also kill rates mean next to nothing. If we’re to go off of them Pinhead is the best killer in the game and nurse is the worst
-
Nope
I just don’t find it funny tbh and would rather get any pig game over with as soon as possible
-
What they should do is just add back charge time into his base kit somewhat and bring back his cooldown add-ons. If blight and nurse get them why can’t he?
I don’t want him relying on add-ons to succeed though so adding charge time in the form of add-ons isn’t the way to go
Another idea would be to have a scaling bonus to charge speed as your chainsaw overheats. Rewards ballsy plays with a quicker more unexpected saw
-
I’m at tier 15
Darktide is my excuse
-
He really needs to be kill switched but doing that to your new DLC isn’t a good look for the state of the game
-
The problem as others have said is killers camping a 3 gen before a single gen is even done. Using knight it’s absurd how long the games can go on for.
Maps like suffocation pit, asarov’s or dead dawg make this trivial
-
- Rework all maps (Easy to just make 90% smaller at least)
- Change gen spawns so that no insanely strong 3 gens can spawn so the killer doesn’t immediately just camp them
- Remove map offerings completely (Good for both sides)
-
Because of immense outcry. Most survivor perks launch with very safe numbers (Think overzealous and for the people for examples) to quell potential hate and then buff them afterwards when nobody cares
Although recently hyper focused has broken that trend
-
Nurse needs a nerf but not the billy treatment. That made him unfun and unrewarding to play
-
I’m fine with it. Any time I get hit with DH I think about how sprint burst would’ve won them the chase before it even began
-
Deadlock is kinda an issue in the sense of it being a completely passive slowdown perk. It requires nothing from the killer and even rewards them for losing gens
But eruption is the much bigger issue here
-
This is where 3 gens become an issue especially on maps like suffocation pit or asarov’s where they are trivial to set up
Knight can’t even be realistically buffed until this is changed as well so it’s negatively affecting him
-
Gen perks will always be meta tbh and killers will always run them
-
Would love to finally have my Haddie icon. Though judging by her cosmetics it would be time limited :(
-
@Little_Kitten said:
The problem about Nurse + Starstruck is not the nurse, it's Starstruck.
Remove her TR when her carries a survivor and the problem will disappear 🤗
How is it a starstruck issue if it’s balanced on literally every other killer but her?
When was the last time you even seen starstruck on someone who wasn’t nurse?
-
That’s the neat part you don’t!
-
@Aceislife said:
I completely agree. I dont think Nurse herself is busted. But Starstruck and Agitation on her is.
Tbf the perks aren’t the issue here. Nurse’s insanely strong power is the issue and has actually gotten perks like Awakened awareness nerfed
She’s the issue here
-
Add on extra points if it’s on asarov’s or suffocation pit where doing a 3 gen is beyond easy and camping 1 side of the map with a hooked survivor basically guarantees a win
-
Quentin’s downed scream and Jake’s voice crack mid injury are always the funniest to me
-
Can we stop saying “high MMR” like it means anything? The cap is so low basically everyone has reached it
But you are right about eruption. It’s unfairly strong against solo queue
-
I don’t think BHVR care enough about Freddy to even fix this tbh
-
I’ll throw them a few Reddit awards as well
-
My question is why queue into a game in the first place if you have a high chance of just leaving? At that point why not play another game you’ll have more fun with?
-
Tbf an asymmetrical game is inherently unbalanced with none actually being able to strike it perfectly. That being said dbd isn’t too unbalanced with the only major outlier being maps
-
Slinger isn’t in a good spot at the moment. His only strengths are his zoning and fast projectile
Make sure to run save the best for last. When spearing the obsession just let the chain break so you don’t lose stacks but still get the injure
Best add-ons are the Iri coin and reload/cooldown add-ons

Im scared he'll end up like haddie. No green rarity cosmetics - only a linked set that changes his model.
Everything else he has is default and tbh doesnt match very well. Massive missed opportunity for different types of knight armour.
Yep. Him and slinger both have huge cosmetic opportunities
When you make an undead looking outlaw how are the 2 cosmetics that come to your mind “red Chinese onesie” and “moths”
-
Nah

I usually try to hook everyone equally. But sometimes there are just some survivors that beg for attention. Anyway, i learned a long time ago, that it doesn´t matter how you play. Some people will still complain about it.
That’s definitely true. I still play in a fair way because I personally find it more fun but don’t do it for others.

But isn´t tunneling exactly what survivors want? More chases!
I´m always astonished, by clicky survivors that beg for full attention, which suddenly don´t want said attention when i ignore everything else. Isn´t that what they asked for?!
That’s kinda fair and it’s why I don’t mind being tunneled assuming it’s a good map anyway (Getting tunneled by a nurse on shelter woods is pure agony)
People generally like a mix between saves/gens and chases so they can get the most points possible. Tunnelling only allows like 12000 points due to the cap in boldness points
But some survivors just hate losing whether they got chased or not and will always have some excuse for it.
-
What do you expect them to say tbf? It was done to get more sales from impulse buying and bring players in for the event.
I can see 0 other reason to do it
-
I like these ideas but I think it would be too complicated overall. Each guard should be different but having 3 separate powers on top of his AI would be an absolute nightmare to design and balance
being able to choose your guard would be amazing though and should definitely be implemented
-
People want chases to last longer but by making gens longer tunnelling becomes more viable
Ideally a killer should have a counter able chase power but good mobility to go between chases fast like wesker or demo
-
For event skins I don’t mind it too much. We do know they’ll come back next year and they are available for a whole months so you have plenty of time to decide
Games like Apex, OW2 and fortnite do this in a way worse way
-
Doubt it. They are all characters that sell well so BHVR will want to capitalise on FOMO to get sales
-
Not my style personally but glad yun Jin still got her skin
No sweater billy is a disappointment though
-
Problem is his power also completely denies loops causing super stale gameplay. Literally just go from loop to loop without playing any pallet because he doesn’t let you without getting a free hit
