The chase music is hands down my favorite thing in this game, and when i get my favorite one im so excited for the chase
-
Not using add ons gives you a better understanding of killers powers that rely on muscle memory, for instance Huntress and Nurse. Though on other killers it doesnt really do much imo
-
Being balanced and being fun are two entirely different things, to which i think most people hate her because of how boring and unfun she is to go against.

It's your opinion that the add on is broken. It could be tweaked but that's up to the devs.
Its my opinion and many others opinion, to which a simple rarity change wont fix what people find annoying and unfun about the add on.

@Kabu said:
Spirit does not need her add ons reworked. As a lot of us have been saying, switching the rarity of Father's glasses and prayers beads is enough. Her base kit is fine too for the most part.
Switching the rarity of a broken add on doesn't fix the problems with it.

I think when people say lower tier killers like wraith, trapper, legion, etc. arent viable in red ranks they mean they arent viable against very coordinated 4man SWF. Which theyre right in that regard, but those SWFs aren’t common at all.

Wait times have been terrible. Solo survivor wasnt too bad a couple days ago, around 3-4 mins, but now its been much worse, like 6-8 mins for solo, longer for duoing or having a squad, and even killer queues are dogshit.
I wanna play the game but, queue times really do kill my drive to play :/
-
Hopefully haddonfun... such a bullshit map.

Nurse is getting nerfed so i avoid her for now
Nurses add ons are getting revised, her base kit (hopefully) wont be touched.
-
If all this is true and pennywise actually comes to dbd, what If hes just a small paragraph as a halloween treat?
-
Spirit is the worst, whenever theres insanely long killer queues and im playing Spirit i have to switch to another killer until the match is made- her “waah!!”s are so annoying
-
Because of endgame collapse and Bloodwarden. Its usually best to just open the door right away but, in some cases you should at least 99 it and wait. For instance, if somebody just got downed, wait until they get hooked (because of bloodwarden) or if somebody is on hook, wait so you don't have a 2 minute deadline to save them.
-
....who in the hell would be mad at bbq and spine chill?
-
I can understand the DCS because of the first dc tbh
not saying its right but, nobody wants to play in a 3man game lol
-
It gets more use if you pair second wind with we’ll make it. I like pairing both of them together
-
Sorry. Shes the only one i have Gateaus on :/
-
Legion, hag, plague, quentin and steve are my favorites
-
Billy, ive probably never seen a really good billy on console, and ive been playing for 2 years.
-
Im happy that killer queues are fantastic, but now survivor queues are really bad :( at least for ps4
-
No.
-
Lunge is pretty strong, portals can be good but sometimes are annoying. Overall a strong killer (just really REALLY hope they lower his stomping noises, its so loud D:)
-
You can theoretically get 11 stacks of dying light in one match, theres no cap to how many stacks you can earn (other than how many times you’ve hooked each non obsession survivor)
-
You dont want the Survivors “halving” their objectives, even though you’re halving your own objectives?
nice entitlement.
-
You can literally run any perk you want, its not specified anywhere that you cant.
-
Buying the blendette shirt to have a funny game in KYF... wasted some shards for something ill never wear again :,)
-
Huntress (when her hatchet hitboxes arent wonky) and Billy.
-
Id like it to where its any heal you do or get, just has to be equivalent to one health state.
could be others or yourself, btw.
-
Eh, not really. Not having hillbilly exist wouldnt make Leatherfaces power any better or worse.

Well from an ex huntress main, freddy work the purchase?
Imo, id say yes. Hes really fun to play right now and offers a lot with his kit (pallets, snares, and generator teleport are his big things.)
Hes sorta like a pseudo nurse, better clown, and a doctor with illusionary pallets all mashed into one killer. Super cool.
Though, if you wanna buy him id watch a couple vids of people playing him to see if you’d like his playstyle.

Actually, the general consensus on this thread is to nerf generator times for the killer to 60 seconds. :)
Ngl, i kinda skimmed over what the op said and didnt see that it could be an offering, and that gens would be reduced to 60 seconds.
With that, I actually think it would be cool (as an offering.) Itd spice the game up more in a good way i think.
Though the thing is, some maps might have to have generator spawn spots changed just because of this offering- imagine giving the killer a 4 gen set up, or them purposely only protecting them?
Btw, i think gens should stay at 80 seconds, and that you have to complete 5 (for the base game.) I like the idea of the offering though.
-
I would love 60fps, but for now i at least want a stable 30fps. Most games i feel as though my fps is dipping so low, it actually nauseates me to turn my camera because its so choppy.
-
No. Gens are already boring as it is, i dont want to sit and hold R1 for another 80 seconds.
-
Badham got a rework, so now almost every pallet is mindgame able on the map (though the pallets in the fun house and preschool are still the same.)
Freddy was buffed and is now really strong, id say hes around the strength of Huntress (though maybe a little bit weaker)
-
Once i was playing really late at night against a Clown on asylum (btw, this was around the release of Clown and kate so the hatch couldnt be closed or anything like that)
So all gens were completed, and everyone was dead but me. I committed to the last gen (because I was super bored) and ran this clown on a pretty long chase, with barely anything around me to help (only really L and T walls, a long wall jungle gym, and thats pretty much it. Every pallet was used.)
ended up 360ing the clown a couple times, then got hit right on hatch... he had NOED. I was so goddamn lucky and my heart was beating so fast, like i couldn’t believe I actually escaped from that.
-
Just today i spawned like 2 rooms away from a totem on Lerys, i felt so bad for the killer
tho i was cheesed because the totem bar was literally 100%, but i got grabbed off it and it didnt break.

Then they crawl out the exit gate.
Thats if its at end game... and if the totem is right next to a gate
if theres Ruin and no gens are completed my point still stands.
-
Yeah, its what happens against optimal survivors. You cannot win against optimal survivors if you arent playing Nurse, and to an extent Spirit.
Though, how many optimal survivors are there in this game, anyway? Yeah it sucks to go against them, but im sure if the game were balanced around them the game would die quick, since most people ive played with and seen play this game are very casual and would get stomped every game very easily if this game were balanced around optimal survivors.

Situation 3. They get off and immediately go for one of my hex totems. I can't pull them off because I get DSed. I can't let them continue or I lose my entire perk. ######### if I do and ######### if I don't.
You can lunge and hit them off your totem, you know.

The Legion had counterplay, but I am so tired of telling that over and over again survivors who have in writing nerf-threads a 10, while doing counterplay a -10.
As you survivors like to say "git gud" and watch some tutorial videos on YouTube.
And if you need additional evidence - the Legion had one of the worst kill-rates to pre patch times. That is not my opinion, that is fact, made on a official statistic posted by bhvr.
A killer without counterplay would have not a bad killrate. That should everybody with common sense understand.
What the topic matters. Yes I wish me also the old Legion back. Sort of.
I would prefer a old Legion without exploits and without op addons, but I am already so desperate after all the months were bhvr just has shown inactivity towards their Legion community, that I would even take that Legion back.
Somewhere they have for sure flying a backup around, at least I hope so.
Then I can at least have fun again if I play the Legion without addons and that implies also that I would play dbd again.
The legion did not have counterplay, period. Once he hit you with frenzy alls he had to do was moonwalk with Bloodhound, or keep stabbing you with Frenzy since he didn't get punished for missed attacks. You'd go down no matter what.
He probably had the lowest kill rate because it took a while for him to down people with these cheese methods.

That's fair, but on the flip side, what many consider a successful mindgame is just a survivor messing up. And there are a lot of windows where you won't get a hit unless the survivor messes up or the entity blocks it after 3 vaults. That's pretty boring as well.
those windows are when Bamboozle is actually necessary, for instance the ironworks window, or the grim pantry window on the bottom floor. Thats when i think bamboozle is fair & not boring.
but once the killer starts using bamboozle at jungle gyms and Shack it just becomes a snooze fest.

I know, but you don't seem to joke on the Med-Kit bonus.
Just trying to tell you that that bonus also only works when healing yourself. 😊
Oh wait, really? I always thought the efficiency buff still worked on medkits for others. Sorry xd

Definitely get infectious fright, it gives situational awareness for every down you get + can lead to an easy snowball (and even win) if used correctly.
Rancor gives situational awareness too, but its not in your control as much as Infectious. Most of the time you cant even get the free mori too.
-
they most likely dc because they think spirit is very boring to go against

Has a dev ever said that DS is only an anti tunnel perk? I dont recall anything on that, but im curious.

But you're fine with Leatherface and Hillbilly denying DH ? Myers denying all sensory/aura reading perks ?
I think it's nice a killer can deal with a meta perk. Also if this is really a problem to you DS still work and OoO shows his aura at all time no matter the distance when asleep.
Dead hard is completely different from bt, imo. Dh is an exhaustion perk that only gets denied if you make a mistake in being out in the open/curved on by a billy, which is perfectly healthy and fine. But with bt, its primary use is against campers & tunnelers.
The biggest reason why i dislike that he’s immune to it is because theres now virtually nothing survivors can do if a freddy decides to camp, and the camped survivor doesnt have ds.

You have to understand what Bamboozle is actually useful for. Yes, many windows are mindgame-able, but survivors are playing the tile too. These talking points rely on the assumption that killers win mindgames most of the time. Survivors inherently have the advantage at many of the windows, which is why they have to be mindgamed by the killer in the first place. Just because something can be mindgamed doesn't mean it's always worth the timesink for a non-guaranteed result. I agree that Bamboozle is counterproductive in places like an L-wall/T-Wall. But it can save a game if a survivor happens to be strong at shack or has Ironworks window.
While thats true, it mostly removes any sort of fun from chases imo. I like being chased and mindgaming survivors for hits, but with bamboozle it removes any mindgame potential for certain structures and turns into a “throw the strong pallet near window down early” simulator.
im not denying that its strong, i just think its boring.
