Look, if a Claudette is wearing dark clothes, I'm not gonna be playing super nice. Sorry, but you brought it on yourselves, Blendettes, because if I leave you alone I might never find you again thanks to perfect game design.
-
Brute Force Legion. PGTW, BBQ, Enduring, Spirit Fury. Pop is there for a little slowdown, BBQ for bloodpoints and maybe an aura reading if the survivors let you, and Enduring/Spirit Fury is there to munch pallets and also help with a Legion Instadown.
Forever Legion. Dying Light, Thanatophobia, Corrupt Intervention, PGTW. Pretty self explanatory.
Chaser Legion. Nemesis, Enduring, Thanatophobia, PWYF.

Well,i have no idea whether pc controller and console controller have the same turn rate if both of them have the same sensitivity settinings (in-game).
What loops are you talking about?Maybe you could show some examples of you using the controller
For example, if someone tries to run around a Badham rock tile, I can follow them with Blight's lunge. I can play maze tiles, main buildings and most rock junk tiles, and I can track well enough to not get spun in the open. It's hard, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely within the realm of possibility.
Basically, with a controller I can curve to the same extent as with M&K, about 200° around some larger round tiles in a full lunge. Little micro adjustments are borderline impossible, but I rarely find they're useful with M&K anyway.
-
Devs are lazy and hide behind stats instead of looking at good players abusing it. Seriously, the reason it hasn't been nerfed is because according to the stats it's weak because OoO players die a lot. That is the official reason. Call me a Dev basher, but... Like, seriously, is there any other reason? It's been proven time and again to be busted.

Actually it is intended, i was talking to dev about it
Please call out the Dev right now, because that's disgusting and unfair. If it was truly intended, why is it that I had to ramp my sensitivity to 100, go to my PC settings, manually increase my mouse DPI, than increas my mouse DPI with its inbuilt DPI adjuster before I was able to 180? And why is it unavailable to console? And why can I not achieve it on my normal sensitivity, being hard capped at about 30°?
It is a bug, and an exploit of said bug. Any Devs trying to claim otherwise just saw it and decided not to patch it. There is no way in hell it was ever intended or there wouldn't be so many hoops to jump through and console players would have access to it.

I played him both on PC and Console, it's not exploit, i can explain to you how much easier it is on PC, you had to try it to see it man..
It's an exploit. Literally. It's exploiting a split second where Blight's lunge lock hasn't kicked in after you initiate it. It's not intended gameplay or console players would be able to use it.

Hard disagree on that.
I've seen gamplay from different PC blight players and you can tell that mouse and keybord + increased sensitivity allows you to turn soo much better within your rush than console could ever do.
On console however, playing blight feels like driving a damn truck. It feels like you have to use turn rate addons just to get to the addonless pc blight level.
It definetely needs adjustment.
Like, everyone talked about how big the gap between console and pc nurse is but even that gap isn't close to the one between console and pc blight
Then there is, for some reason, a difference between Blight on PC with a controller and Blight in console, because I can do all the Blight stuff on a controller. Including lunging striaght around loops.
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

With a high DPI you can spin around before the lunge is locked.
My sensitivity is on 100 and even then i can turn maybe like 30-45 degrees with my lunge
Yeah, because it's an exploit that you can only achieve with a high DPI. Controller sensitivity isn't high enough at base. I genuinely can it stress enough that it is an exploit - it was clearly not intended and you have to mess around with outside settings.

Wasn't really thinking of exploits. You can move in your power like they can, you can flick like they can, that's not exploit, it's just a bit more free movement with M&K
Blight's movement gets hard locked. Playing with a controller is harder, without question, but in my experience you can still do everything but the 180 flick exploit.
Edit: (I like to play with controllers sometimes. Unless there's a difference between PC and console controller movement, which I wouldn't put past the Devs, Blight is fully serviceable.)

That 180 flick really isn't a bug?Because that looks 100% like not intended gameplay (like nurse being able to look up during fatigue etc). Not that i think it should go or anything
Also, just things like that make me even more sad as a console player.I really love blight but the difference between console and pc is incredibly big.Even Nurse is much better to play on console than blight.Hope the will look into that someday :(
For a split second as you begin your lunge, Blight's turn restriction doesn't apply. With a high DPI you can spin around before the lunge is locked.
For reference, I just found out about this, replicated it, used I, and am 100% confident that it is an exploit. For further reference, having never used it before I 4k nearly every game and only lose to actual genrushing, ridiculous 16-stack second chances, or my own dumb mistakes. This dumb exploit is not needed and is not what makes Blight strong. I'm never using it again. You don't need it. Blight is insanely strong without it, to the point of being third only to Nurse and Spirit.

It's not an exploit. There is a clip where McLean explain it but i can't find the clip.
It can do by instantly hard flicking the mouse at the start of attack. It's easier with high dpi.
I'm sorry, but if it's something you have to mess around with settings for and isn't available to everyone, it's an exploit. I'm certainly never going to use it because it's overtly unfair - the only counter to Blight is being able to run around junk. This takes that away. And it really, really is an exploit. Just because a developer bragged about it doesn't make it false, or console players would be able to pull if off.
-
@Maperson said:
I've been playing him on console a lot. You can never be like PC Blight ls, controller doesn't allow you to, but he is fun killer
To be fair, the only difference between PC and console is that PC can use an exploit to gain an unfair advantage.

That is an issue with dedicated servers, not hitboxes.
How many times do people have to say this?
Actually, with Huntress it really is a hitbox issue. I get hits that I can clearly see, form the killer point of view, shouldn't collide. We're talking nearly a foot away from the survivors model. I don't want to think about how dirty it looks from the survivors end.
-
Dont react, predict. Blight's Lethal Rush is like and extreme lunge with little control and a wide, but short, attack box. If a survivor is going to 360 you, they have to fake a direction or you'll hit them. Swing in the opposite direction to their fake and you'll hit them anyway.
It's like using a ranged attack, you have to think about where they're going to be instead of where they are.
Edit: and don't forget, it's a lunge. You have to initiate it a fair bit before you collide with them.

Yeah, that is literally an exploit, I just replicated it a couple of times. It can only be achieved at max sensitivity, which I don't play at. Definitely not intended gameplay, definitely exploiting.

The Devs don't care about data, not in the way you think. For them it's just a convenient excuse to do things they way they want. Buffing weak killers, reworking unfair ones, getting rid of camping, tunneling, genrushing, holding W, abusing second chance perks and all that nonsense is hard, so the Devs hide behind stats. And if anyone thinks I'm Dev bashing, go look at all of their reasons for literally everything despite the numbers that the graphs show.
-
@MasterGrit said:

Then you don't deserve to be the Blight main. If someone can do then Blight can do. Go watch AscensionWho twitch (#1 Blight on leaderboard so far) I'm lazy to argue with you. You will see how the real Blight is played.
And yeah I am the Blight main too. 6.8 k total lethal rush hit isn't just a number.
I don't care who you are, Blight physically cannot instantly turn. There is a curve to it that was deliberately placed there by the developers to prevent him from being Oni but god mode. Unless you are trying to claim that Blight and Oni have the same instantaneous turning, Blight doesn't have a flick.
And once more, you cannot hit someone around a small loop unless they royally screw up. All they have to do is stay on the other side and you cannot rush around it fast enough because the turning radius is just a little bit too big.
-
@MasterGrit said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1878215#Comment_1878215
You don't even need to turn that much if you do it correctly. He can flick much more than 90° btw if you don't know.
First of all, I'm a Blight main. Second, I have never, ever one been hit by a Blight while at a small loop without me having screwed up because he CANNOT FLICK.
Blight doesn't have a flick. Oni has a flick. Blight has a turn. He can turn about 180 degrees. His turning radius, however, is rather bigger than the size of most junk tile corners, which is what makes it not a flick.
-

He can. Don't be limit by " you can't use power in short loop " without even try.
It's a physical gameplay limitation, Blight cannot turn fast enough to swing around short loops.
-
Given the amount of people that have defended tunneling out a survivors DS and just saying "whoops, should've had it" to survivors that got straight-up tunneled, yes.
-
That sounds awful, most of the cast of killers already have to fight tooth and nail for everything agaisnt a squad that has even half an idea of what they're doing. Every down, every hook, can be taken away even without the killer making any mistakes.
-
Practice. The only loops that can't be played are short loops, but even so those are tiles that Blight can play as an m1 killer.
-
I agree. Any potential advantage is not outweighed by the simple kindness of inclusion. Especially since it is nothing more than a very minor advantage.
-
It certainly "pairs," but whether or not that pairing is "well" depends on how new the survivors are to DbD/their reaction time.
Overcharge is not a good regression perk. It's very, very easy to hit the skillcheck if you're expecting it. In fact, it's the same skillcheck as DS.
-
The best part is whenever I mention playing Freddy and 6 people go off about how OP and unfair he is and then I'm like "Yeah, with the Garden Rake" and suddenly everyone's scrabbling to claim that Pallet Freddy is also unfair and unbalanced...
-
@Mandy said:
I just want to leave a comment on here to clear something up - that's not an exploit. That's part of game design and intended.
(referring to DS from a locker grab).
That actually makes it considerably worse.
-
To be fair, every single map update has been buffing Legion (and every other m1 killer).
-
Why would I pay for basic consumer rights I've already paid for by purchasing the game in the first place?
-
Huntress's hatchets are the only messed-up hitboxes in the game because they're basically beach balls. Everything else is fine, I don't see any problems with it (although Deathslinger does have to aim at the centre of the survivor to actually hit)
-
Dead Hard For Distance, aka Push E To Outplay. Literally no counterplay despite its predictability, completely undoes any mistake the survivor made and makes the chase last longer for free.
With. Zero. Counterplay. And zero risk of being exhausted on the ground or anything else, and zero downside despite its predictability because the killer knows there is nothing they can do to stop it.
And there's no real animation lock, during the entire animation you're invulnerable. The only way to screw up is to seriously misaim, which to that I say "Ha Ha."
Edit: No, seriously, I actually do laugh whenever I misaim a DH. I never reay see anyone else do it though, I guess they have more practice than me.

He truly, genuinely doesn’t need map mobility. Once someone learns how to use Clown properly, chases are ended so quickly that this alone pressures other survivors a LOT. He can be a snowball monster just like Nurse, Billy, Oni, or Bubba.
Honestly, once these Clown changes go live, and more players get interested in using him, and getting better at him, Clown is going to be complained about a lot.
That's not true. Every killer needs good mobility, or else they have to rely on survivors not splitting up and slamming gens. I don't care how fast someone can down a survivor, one survivor is just one survivor. There needs to be follow up, and if they're split up around the map there can't be any follow up as a basic movement killer. That's the weakness of Deathslinger, of Pyramid Head, and yes, of Clown.
Perhaps the only two killers that aren't like that are Hag and Huntress, but Hag is... Hag, and Huntress has cross-map.
-
The aura reading is there so that it actually does something when you run it by itself.

No, there would be little reason to ever use his power.

I think everyone is getting into this weird headspace of 'I play on this and am better than you!!' or 'I play on this and can't compete with people who play on that' which is fair, but I think everyone has the potential to majorly mess up the match no matter the platform lol :)! I'm on console and have had amazing teammates and opponents from all platforms, so I usually don't read the rants or 'dear ____ players' posts because they are mostly venting rather than generalizing. I hope the community becomes more accepting of cross play and working hard for ranks and wins because we can only get better!!!
You're too damn wholesome for this forum.
-
It is interesting to see that some people not only assume that every team is a SWF, but that every SWF team is capable of ridiculous and unnecessary levels of co-ordination.
Edit: Also, sorry, glossed over point A a bit: Yeah, no. Thanks to the reworks and the new maps, most totem spawns are well and truly hidden and require an insane amount of map knowledge to find without totem tracking perks.
-
Given their employee-to-content-output ratio, I really don't think that's the case. I think they work, don't get me wrong, and maybe sometimes some of them even put in a lot of effort, but I don't think that the team as a whole are hard at work.
Seriously, so many potential balance changes are just numbers tweaks that could be thrown on a PTB and actually tested in a public beta. It wouldn't be hard.
-
I go and look for someone is what I do. It's not like BBQ is even close to being a reliable tracking perk, you have to be used to it not even working at all half the time.

I thought of WMI, but this perk is mainly designed for resetting your team by healing them, but I guess it could be mitigative towards slugging.
I thought of putting no mither, I didn't because it is a very weak perk even with the slugging. However, I think I can still add it to the list.
No Mither becomes a genuinely strong perk in sabo squad situations. It sounds like a meme, I know, but everyone having Unbreakable/Soul Guard and one person having No Mither as well means that they can just never be hooked. Everyone 99.99's with UB while the No Mither picks everyone up or pops up and sabo's the hook.
I'm not kidding when I say I am terrified of this. I've gone agaisnt it twice and there's not really a way to win except hope they don't have one or two people doing gens so that they actually bleed out on the ground.

That is literally why people BM. The term "Ha Ha GG ez noob" doesn't come form DbD.

@MadLordJack to answer your question the Gist of why people hate PC more than any console is because due to the fact they abuse more of the god awful mechanics that the devs let slide. Us on consoles have frame rate issues, random disconnect from the server issues and random lag issues, which also gives PC an advantage. And for my first sentence about PC abusing game mechanics that desperately need QoL changes from what I've seen and from what I've experienced as both a Killer and Survivor player is that PC has used more of these 2016-17 META perks that the devs have refused to nerf even a slightest bit. (even tho they said QoL changes would be coming in last years roadmap which they didn't btw...) SO thats why people despise PC.
@Komodo16 You have your own opinion and I have mine. Mine speaks from legit experience from both sides of the spectrum. I don't know where your's is from but who knows its your opinion and I'll always have mine. Also take time to actually read the whole thing to actually get the gist of the problem at hand thanks <3
So do you have any actual proof, or do you just see a crossplay icon and immediately go "that's a PC player because they played in a way I didn't like?"
Most of my unbearably sweaty games and full meta perk teammates are against console players, and that is something I can actually check thanks to being on PC. Just saying.
Also performance issues aren't just a console thing. I have DbD on my y1 Xbox one, and while it played worse than my old PC it wasn't that much worse. In fact, I still have performance issues because DbD is just a poorly coded game and I definitely get screwed by game stutter quite a bit.

I don't despise them, but I do refuse to play with them.
Console is at an inherent disadvantage and it SUCKS to know that when you play against someone on PC, they are at an advantage because of better optimization.
I can make the right read on a Nurse blink and juke her, but I freeze and she can quickly adjust and hit me with her second blink, whereas I am unable to adjust due to low FPS and constant freezing.
Yeah, that's also a thing endemic to PC players as well, it's just that the majority of the vocal ones have ridiculously good machines and so pretend that that's the baseline experience.
-
So, people despise PC players for... Sorry, what reason? It can't be for running those perks, or for knowing how to run strong tiles, or for being sweaty in general, none of that is particularly different to console gamers.
-

I'm a killer main and even I find this confusing. I always knew that this game's playerbase was pathetic, but this really takes the cake. You can bait it out, you can give yourself a better lunge, you can GET GUD.
FFS...
Yes, you can bait out DH For Distance. That is totally a thing that is possible.
-
We'll Make It is also an effective anti-slugging perk. I've combined it with WGLF (and gone agaisnt it more than a few times - damn does it suck).
No Mither is very effective in some slugging situations, however it's power is more that it is a silver platter on which to place yourself so the killer wastes time tunneling the crap out of you.
-
Look at its design. It only activates if the killer tries to hook you within 60 seconds of being unhooked. The only two explainations are that it is supposed to protect you from tunneling and that they didn't think it through (which we have plenty of evidence that they behave that way thanks to other changes and justifications), or that the Devs intended for it to be god mode and wanted people to, you know, sit injured on gens/get insanely free rescues and them jump in a locker and be untouchable, thus creating gameplay that is both ridiculous and unfair. Since they haven't included any other mechanic even remotely like that second scenario, it seems pretty likely that it is the former.
-
Tombstone, as in Tombstone Piece, is just ridiculous. It's so strong. Tombstone, as in Judith's Tombstone, is kind of balanced but it's also just not fun to go against because there's no real chases and it's just gen repair sim with the occasional side of getting instamurdered.
-
I honestly don't see a xenomorph being in DbD in any satisfying way. Even if it does happen, it's going to feel so... Lame.
Seriously, those things are supposed to be ridiculously strong, ridiculously fast, requiring heavy ordinance to even make them pause a little, and we're supposed to watch them wander around at a brisk walk getting wrecked by bits of wood?
