Lol. People are praising devs for removing something they should not have put in a game in a first place.Like SWF.
They put in SWF because there was a demand for it. There's many that got into DBD to play with friends and there's many that would leave if SWF was removed. It wouldn't be a good thing for the game's community to take a huge hit like that. It'd honestly be better to balance the game around SWF than to just remove it.
They actually recently came out and said SWF was always intended and wasn't added because of demand.
And i always think people who constantly complain about SWF are just bad at the game anyway, they are still kill able, just because that one survivor that looped you the entire game is in an SWF doesn't mean he wouldn't have ruined you in a solo match.
Too many bad players.
You got that backwards … people who play in groups are bad at the game. That's why they group together. Their strength is in their numbers, not their skill. It's why they ALWAYS disconnect then they are given a taste of their own medicine. They are the reason killers camp. I wasn't singling out you, but clearly I hit a nerve. Solo players are much better then SWF players.
Clearly hit a nerve? Lol, I play SWF without comms almost every day you didn't hit a nerve but I think it's boring hearing these vocal killers on the forum constantly whine about not being able to kill anyone that's in an SWF when I do it constantly when I play killer.
Too many people are bad at the game and use SWF as an excuse, I've played solo survivor and have killers TELL me I must be in an SWF or the other players must be in an SWF. It's an easy excuse for bad killers.
Textbook response. It's not an excuse for bad play. SWF are using mics to communicate while solo players are getting it done without. While we can agree that there are bad players on both sides … logic and commonsense dictates the group players are worse.

That was back when the game was only on PC and before it became a toxic shitshow. They don't have to remove it. Just give them their own mode separate from solo so the rest of us can enjoy the game.
The trade off for getting rid of them is enticing new players who won't be turned off within the first 5 minutes of playing against them.
You're talking as if every SWF is toxic and super good at the game. It'd be better if they balanced the game around it imo. Like limit skills and items and so on.
Then let me clarify, it's not all SWF. But most do and it get worse at lower ranks. They literally are the root of the toxicity in the game. At the very least, they can show us in the lobby who's grouped together so the killer knows who to get first.

Pinhead would be perfect and shouldn't cost much to license.

Tunneling isn't as bad as camping. We've all had that match where we were the bait and If you get caught at the beginning of the match at least stick around long enough to allow for generators to get done. Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug.
-
No one wants to hear squeakers in a match. They ruined F13 and this game works much better without voice. The root of all evil starts with SWF. They grief killers ... killers get mad and then killers take it out on next match. Rinse and Repeat. Just give SWF their own mode separate from solo and that's that. Who cares if they ever play again.
If not, the easiest way to address them is to show who's grouped together in the lobby. That way killer's can dodge if they choose. Survivors can dodge as well. SWF players grief other survivors too. They'll sell you out in a second to protect their own. They are toxic players by nature.
Since their only strength is in numbers, if you take that away, you've at least leveled the playing field somewhat. Anytime a SWF get's hooked or tunneled, they end up disconnecting anyway … so let the killer have at it.
In the long term SWF is not healthy for this community in any state.
-
The easiest way to deal with SWF is show who's in a group in the lobby. That way there is no advantage for SWF. The Killer knows they are working together and if they want to tunnel and camp … do it. Giving them their own mode separate from solo would also help. It's not just killers these players are griefing. They do it to survivors who are not in their group too.
This isn't F13. That game was designed with mics in mind and doesn't work right without it. DBD works better without mics and outside of a few morons, everyone knows how to play. SWF players are mostly ######### players who's only strength is in their numbers. Once you hook them (or tunnel) and they realize they aren't getting off they disconnect.

Right now .. matchmaking. It's never been this bad on consoles.

"I've been reported by this twitch streamer because I wanted to waste his time and belittle him by tbagging at the exit gate as I leave. I then proceeded to post about it on the forums to further shame this twitch streamer that wanted nothing but to have fun playing a video game. I don't care that he had a bad game and I'm just rubbing more salt to the wound, I'm an insensitive loser that has no empathy towards others and lack any form of sportsmanship. Thanks for wasting your time reading my garbage post."That sums it up perfectly.

I think it’s the new algorithm personally not a lack of players. Never was like this before. When did they add that back? I know it was removed for this reason last year, but they only said it was coming back this month … not that it was back.

Issue: Graphic downgrade
Platform: Xbox One X
Display: 1080p and 4KWhen you first updated the engine, the graphics were improved on Xbox One X from before however there was noticeable shadow boxes on characters and in darker areas and LOD rendering issues. When you added the Holiday Event, those shadow boxes were gone and the overall image quality was crisper and the LOD was greatly improved.
Now that you reverted back to the normal look, the shadow boxes are back and the overall image quality is back to before the event and the LOD issues have returned and are quite noticeable again.

Unfortunately every game has its share of bad players and DBD is no different. Bad killers camp and (mostly) bad survivors team up. The same goes with Fortnite, PUBG, BO4 etc... there is typically one player carrying the scrubs or they're all scrubs.
The only way to deal with this correctly is to separate them completely from the rest of the player base. Period. Having mics is a game changer and they shouldn't be mixed in with other players. It's not just the killer they are griefing. They do it with other survivors as well. They'll bring the killer to you on purpose etc...
You could also suspend ranking for that mode just for them. You could even go as far as indicating who is together in the lobby so we can leave a match or a killer can end the game before it starts. However, and again, they need to separated from the everyone else.
If that isn't possible, then there is nothing that can really be done to fix it and it's a moot point. Toxic behavior aside, SWF makes matchmaking much worse for both sides trying to fill lobbies. Hopefully that will change with the planned matchmaking update, but I for one would rather not play with SWF players.

Unless they've stopped cheating on PC completely, it would not be a good idea. Too many cheaters on PC. Regardless performance on base consoles would be shite against PC at 60fps.
