I haven't heard or read of anybody complaining about Billy having op add ons, or Billy at all tbh. Why the F is he being nerfed?? I main him, probably wont stop maining him but damn... Why they do this to my chainsaw bro? 🥲

If you've been playing for 5 years, then you'd know the game existed before CoH and survivors managed just fine.
It also means you're an adult and shouldn't be throwing tantrums.
Lmao that last part 👌
-
I agree the asthetic appeal is there - the rework does look amazing. But omfg, some of the windows around main are disgusting, especially if you play a killer that loses mobility with charging their m2. I played Billy extremely tight as to avoid collision issues, but it really sucks having so much garbage getting in the way of snipes. I would hate to be a huntress main on this map
-
I would buy if drones had basekit aura reading. Will no doubt buy her eventually but I'm of no urgency rn
-
Having a real fear factor is important, something that the other side respects - something counterable, but respected. What comes to mind for me is Billy, Blight, Oni, and Huntress.
MoBilly-t is a must, killers need to feel like camping 3 gens is a waste of their time. This doesnt apply so much to Huntress due to the nature of her power.
Skill cuuuurve. If the basics and the advanced techniques are almost the same, this is a boring killer imo. It should feel rewarding to put time and effort into learning, and if ive spent 1000+ hours practicing one killer, i should absolutely feel oppressive with my specific power.
Counterable. Survivors NEED to be able to learn effective methods of countering the power. Shift+W is weak and boring, with Billy you need to know loop size, his rev times, obstacle collision, pallet timing, vault timing.
With blight you need to understand rebound tech, hug tech, collisions and swing timing.
You get my point, there's counters- theyre fun to play both as and against. And rewarding both sides too. I feel great looping a blight and leading him into a crap show of obstacle collision. Hes also among my favourites to play, maybe only second to Billy.
Tl;dr
Good killers are rewarding to learn, have counterplay, and are increasingly oppressive with mastery.
-
As if you'd dodge a lobby lol. There's a few very satisfying things as killer in this game - crossmap/orbital hatchets, sweet juicy curves and snipes on Billy, a full 4hook basement as Bubba (hilarious imo) and absolutely stomping a lobby of high prestige survs with 1000's of hours each. Why would anyone want to rob themselves of that?
Sure, they can be extremely challenging, and perhaps you won't win many, but why care - thats the fun part; getting to measure yourself, push yourself to max sweat and see how you go. Each to their own i guess 🤷♂️
-
Its actually frogs. I know it sounds crazy, but the frogs are watching, and they communicate your builds lightning fast through the ribbit network. Killer mains like me listen to the frogs... We're the frog whisperers
-
The voice i audinated whilst reading this post was perfect and i thank you for writing it 😆
Pls BHVR, give the community an everything button 💀
-
With plague i like Corrupt + Thana, the other 2 slots are essentially free for creativity - hex: crowd control + floods/bbq. She's pretty strong regardless so you can have fun running cheese builds.
Legion idk... Dissolution, bamboozle, septic touch and hex: blood favour could be fun. I only play legion for bunny outfit 💀
-
Im a killer main, a terrible survivor - i play the heck out of survivor when the bonus is on.
My guess is the killers that are tunnelling/camping hard during the bp bonus are survivor mains that are trash killers. Especially the campers, that's not really the most effective strategy unless you're memeing with Bubba or trapper, and most killer mains know this.
-
Eventually, not for a minute though, i only just bought knight because he got slightly better. She was pretty fun to play but im not digging her cosmetics, if they release something that isnt Kris Jennerdashian then I'll probably get it. Idk maybe not 🤣
-
I'd like to see that trialed
-
Many others are saying to move on from the game, and I'm just going to chant along with them so hopefully it's loud enough. My friend, if in any way you are not in the headspace to handle people having fun at your expense, do not play this game (or any competitive game for that matter). You will only end up hurting yourself in the long run, and it's not worth it. Take a breather, try a different game with a different pace, or try something completely different altogether - like a walk or a bike ride etc (if capable). Just dont let the actions of people in a video game get under your skin to the point where you are in tears and your day is ruined, for the love of yourself it ain't worth it mate.
-
Its tin man from wizard of Oz. Sorry for the spoiler
new map: "not Kansas"
New survivor: Dorothy
New perks:
Survivor:
Heel tap - it's the same old song and dance. Upon completing the final generator, appear at the furthest exit gate from the killer.
Ding Dong - you're no stranger to timely events. At the beginning of each match, there's a 4% chance of a house falling on the entity's servant.
Toto - a trusted companion is at your side in times of need. Any survivor within an 8m radius of you while being carried, will have the option to bite the killer and free you. This perk has a 5 second cooldown.
Killer:
Stiff-knee: you're a bit rusty! Vaulting through windows is 50% slower, applies hindered to the next survivor that vaults it. Affected windows are highlighted in white
Back-up: Dorothy isn't the only one with friends. A man dressed as a lion will occasionally down a survivor within your terror radius. +1% chance to activate per consecutive second.
Echo: your empty head has its uses. All conspicuous Actions can be heard 12m further away.
Sorry for the leak y'all
-
My favourite is being called a filthy camper and told to end myself... When I didn't even so much as proxy camp.
Remember kids, tunnel, camp, slug - these words mean different things to all of us, and are only definable on an individuals subjective level. So maybe you ran noed, and that makes you a tunnellerrrrrr
-
I disagree with the comments on this one. Gen speed is fkn insane now, not in all matches sure, but it has definitely increased on average, survivors are way more organised in the games where i pick my strongest killers. If i play blight, billy, plague or wesker i am 💯 needing to macro full sweat - not necessarily kicking but applying constant pressure absolutely, and gens still fly. My weaker killers like Sadako, huntress, cannibal (I rarely play him) i get put against potato survivors that almost put themselves on the hook for me - go out of their way to do anything but touch gens, and gleefully catch hatchets with their faces.
I don't think this is a bad thing, just maybe dont dismiss the crux of OPs argument. Gens be moving hella fast on better teams.
-
Anyway, we're in luck, with the map pick rework coming we should be seeing maps we have been missing a lot more, and fewer of those pesky repeat offenders
-
Idk, i always found Gideon to be one of my higher success %. Eyrie or swamp however i might as well be an actual potato. And Badham is far from okay for me lmao sheeeet I'll take nearly anything else, nearly...

Well... if any of YOU are a decent Blight, I've not been privvy to a good flicker yet. As it is, I've never been downed via rush. They just eventually go W and melee. Hit me up and we can custom or something. I want to see this so bad lol.
You've never been downed by a rush omfg I'm so sorry you've delt with M1 potatoes this entire time. A decent Blight is exciting to go against, makes it feel like a horror game.
-
100%. Even if this chapter ends up not being to one's taste, the excitement of the unknown is still an experience to enjoy. I'm looking forward to being completely wrong about what i think is coming 😆
-
Speed it up a little, or add a bloodpoint incentive. Im down for either
-
It's okay, can get a little repetitive though. I find that when i do play survivor i get rekt but i find it really exciting for the most part. Maybe this is my opinion based on a ~20/1 time investment towards killer.
-
It's none of my business what they do when they're on the hook XD
It used to cheapen the win for me but these days.... Yea idc
-
I play a lot billy. Billy would be much more usable if the overheat mechanic was gone. That one difference would make him so much better without being oppressive. Importantly it would just make him more enjoyable.
-
Idk, shes really strong and doesn't rely on gen kicking. Interesting mechanics compared to other killers too i think she's pretty great. Thana is somewhat useful on her so you can run/encounter non-meta slowdown builds. Good times

I love using Spirit Fury, Hubris & Enduring on my M1s. Makes the game so much fun when they bonk you with a pallet and start to T-Bag just as your SF and Hubris proc. I just wish there was something to help with over all normal walking speed. Like a vault perk or maybe a use token perk
Play with your food is a token based increase to walk speed, would actually work well with that build too
-
You're not applying pressure by playing a D tier killer with no slowdown.
:P

Who would be best for it? Legion?
It works great on most killers tbh lol. Dissolution procs on injury, regardless of m1 or m2, and bamboozle just takes the wind out of strong window loops while boosting vault speed so honestly most killers with weaker anti-loop will benefit once you get the hang of it
-
my favourite builds always include bamboozle and dissolution. Dude try these in chase, dissolution is disgusting in some circumstances and obviously bamboozle is bamboozle. Makes a lot of loops a lot weaker
-
High mobility may get some use from it - though it has been said there are indeed better/more reliable aura perks already for MOST circumstances. Ranged killers simply don't have the time to capitalise on the benefits of this unless theyre happy with just pulling off snipes but not winning. This perk is garbage now imo, i rarely used it before - only on super weak m1 killers or very memey gen kick builds and agree it was OP before. Watch there be maybe 2-3 weeks of people making videos on "how eruption is actually great post nerf" until the clickbait wears off and it fades into obscurity with the other 80+ perks nobody uses
-
I like wards, they are essentially 2 of any item for the price of one so i am pretty happy to grab those. I also like the party streamer/pudding/cake. Oak offerings are niche, but handy. Everything else is meh. I don't care about what map I'm playing on as generally speaking rng can make a good map hell anyway and Vice Versa so yea... They're kind of interesting but i suppose unnecessary really
-
Dumb answer is - do you boo. Lol, what i mean is play by mood. If you don't want to sweat, you have fun being memey then just keep playing that way. Your mmr will fluctuate so that a good half of your games will be well balanced for you in the long run. The rest of the games will be crazy sweaty or super nooby because the mmr system isn't that reliable so just play for fun, have a good time and lump the losses.
-
If anyone dunks on you ignore, i don't see many others sharing their stats, other than "im high mmr".
But the most interesting thing to me is how un even the map pool is... Is this because of offerings or would you say most of the time it was randomly selected?
-
It's okay friend, I'm also TERRIBLE at survivor. 7 second chases, die first... Heck, yesterday i played survivor all day and died EVERY SINGLE GAME. But i can with great confidence put that down to a skill issue. I main killer, heavily, and the level of skill the survivors i face have, i will never achieve. I hate us vs them arguments, and this could be my bias showing but the game feels survivor sided in most aspects, even if only slightly. Sounds like you need to do something else for a while, Goodluck
-
Yes, all scourge hook effects apply to each scourge hook
-
Staying in line with the concept of the perk:
When a survivor enters dying state, affected gens within TR explode, losing 10% and begin to regress. Any survivors working on affected gen scream and suffer hindered + exhausted for 20 seconds. Cool down of whatever. If hindered is too OP, blindness could replace it. People hated the incapacitated, which is fair enough. Making it terror radius related also seems like a reasonable change.
-
Had a game on torment last night running blight. Had pop as my regression, downed survs almost immediately as you would expect. BUT...
They still got 5 gens finished super fast, and i had to slug the end to secure the 4k. So sure, its possible but even with high tier killers, a decent team will make you play dirty
-
Vault spamming, omfg please BHVR so something about that. I feel like i have sensory issues with that after 5 whole minutes of survs just spamming I want to not play for the rest of the day.
-
It can be like that, but itndoes balance out, at least in my experience. I go through a prestige and get 1 particular add on im chasing, next prestige I get 6 or 7.
As for map i read something, somewhere... Anyway apparently they're working on changing that, because that sucks so bad. If i have a solid kill streak, i get sent to my worst maps for several games running and it absolutely drains the fun
-
What if, hear me out...
What if you're just a metal skull and you get to roll around. Thats it. That device below the skull allows you to float so you can nibble them above the ankle. You cant kill or hook though. New surv is an elite soccer/football player with an electronic cleat and they spend the whole game just booting you around.

"im mainly talking about survivors'" tell me youre a killer main without telling me you are a killer main. Of course """"survivors"""" are more toxic because there are 4!!!!! that means the chance you get a toxic person is A LOT more likely. the thing is that toxic survivors dont ruin games only sandbagging survivors do, meanwhile the killers actually has the biggest impact with toxicity, facecamping and tunneling and slugging. it is much worse than simply teabagging, getting mad about teabagging just shows your fragile ego.
Face camping, tunnelling, and slugging are legitimate strategies - a way of playing a game you paid for in order to win said game isn't considered toxic in most communities but i guess that's what makes the dbd consumer base so unique. Admittedly slugging can be situationally toxic af if the killer is just doing it to waste everyone's time/ruin the game. Also nobody mentioned teabagging, not sure where you pulled that trigger from, but i agree, people shouldn't be mad over animations like tbagging or hook slapping. The post game chat and community pages where people from both sides mald over some tired af "us v them" bs is usually home to the most toxicity and it really could be done away with, the community would be better for it

I've been apart of a lot of gaming communities since 2014.
DBD is by far the most toxic, perhaps only being challenged by old CoD.
Ive also been part of the gaming community since stick hoop took the world by storm (early 2000's) and i have to agree with Pulsar. I haven't seen toxicity from a gaming community of this magnitude since CoDMW, and even that felt different tbh. With DBD its so common, petty, predictable and uncalled for. Ive never been told to end myself so many times after LOSING a game before, its even worse when i win.
-
Wowsers i hope this gets fixed.

Haven’t seen this happen recently but o have observed this some time ago on different killers. So chances are it’s a rarely occurring bug on all killers when the survivor DCs when being carried, and nothing knight-specific. But not sure, you can always create a bug report or look into the section to see if someone else reported it already and then upvote:
Thanks, im new to the forums and wasn't sure of the process.

Dwight's "hide in locker" perk?
Idk this is a good one, my guess was going to be kinship but it doesn't really fit.
Looking forward to seeing what it is
-
At the very least, the killers shroud offering could group survs, and the survs split maybe one per offering from the group. Please BHVR 🤞

That's probably bad spawns more than anything. If all 4 Survivors spawn spread out, there's very little you can do
Imo, Survivors should always all spawn together.

"Your experience suggests that you are experiencing balanced kill rates now and overly favorable trials before"
I would agree with that for the most part, which is why i think it was a necessary addition to the survivors toolkit. And just to clarify im not at all saying i Don't like it or i think its unfair etc.
I regularly find myself lobbied against 10-15k hour teams so it hasn't brought anything new to the experience, but its made each game feel tougher and definitely more like swf on average.
I just recognise where OP is coming from - that it is a lot tougher to secure a 3-4k now given the efficiency increase in survivor teams. i run either 1 or 0 slowdown perks and being a chase enjoyer, have noticed that the time to chase on some maps impacts the game a lot more now from my pov, and survs make less macro mistakes to capitalise on. I don't notice it so much with blight, but with other killers its noticeable. I would just enjoy a meta and map shake up i guess is all I'm saying with many many words.

There are many variables that don't transpire from just the result of a few games.
Maybe post a video of what you consider a typical match and we can brainstorm something that could change things for better.

I think your penultimate sentence may have said it all. I think "Meta" is the real issue anymore. There are just so many perks on both sides that can be stacked and combined to make things real difficult for one side. And when they address it, it results in just a new meta. I had a match just maybe an hour ago where Spirit was running Eruption, Jolt AND Dead Man's Switch. Talk about a toxic build...we were lucky to get 3 gens done, and almost nothing we could do about it. I'm all for Killers being able to slow gen progress down via perks, but jeez! Anyway.....
I imagine that would be rough. I don't run slowdowns, with the exception of jolt on some M1 killers - but my builds are heavily chase oriented. With fewer chases because shorter matches it has become harder, at least from my POV.
I wonder what the game would look like if they vetoed the top 20 used perks for a month?
-
Im assuming it's real. Im exclusively killer and have noticed a pretty big difference in the difficulty of my games. Game times are down, surv efficiency is up, and I'm personally securing less wins post HUDdate.
That being said i think its a good change for the game, but can definitely understand there being salt.
