Matchmaking is bad but you're the one who decide how you want to play. It's pretty easy to know if a player i new to the game.
We decided we wanted to play together? Wow! That makes us so toxic!

I like how he hid his name even though there is only one rank 5 in that list. Don't worry JoeyBob if I see your name as Im playing killer I will make sure your in for a really bad time.
Name is not hidden though lol. Look at the chat. Nothing new about toxic killers, so feel free to!

Why? To cover up the issues with matchmaking?

@OldHunterLight said:
Damn we got a badass in here, careful of his 4 man swf that bullies new players then when the new player gets better and plays against them again asks for killer nerfs.
Such fun bullying a new killer and probably a new player in general.
You say "asks for killer nerfs." Look at my post history, I'm asking for pyramid head BUFFS. Nice strawman though, it just shows how you killer mains truly are. Ironic that you think it's the survs who are toxic.

You can blame matchmaking for pairing you with the noob, but you can't blame matchmaking for your toxic behavior. I'll make sure to add you to my list in case I ever see you in my lobby as a Killer.
Killers like you are the reason i play like this :)

I blame you for ,,abusing" it.
We just want to play together, we dont care if the killer is red ranks or not.

You are whats wrong with the game.
Nope. You can blame matchmaking for our fun :)
-
Nerf blendette.
-
Yeah, there's that whole thing where you can easily find out who the killer is while in the lobby.
The game is always kinda broken and full of bugs though.

Instantly to the cage. No meta perks work with him and the cage spawns near survivors on the other side of the map not only for instant rescue and easy heals but now they can work on a gen together !
Way to long cooldown on the ranged attack they can break chase on sprint alone after simple weaves.
And man these perks are trash.
perks idc about bc nothing is forcing you to use his own perks

Lol hes worse than plague

Idc if they're added or not. Why people care either way is beyond me.

I hope this gets fixed sooner rather than later.
It's an exploit that benefits survivors, so it won't get fixed soon.

I will most likely go with StBfL, BBQ, and then either I’m All Ears and Devour Hope or Nemesis with Dark Devotion. Either way, I’m gonna use either a stealth build, a wall-hacking build, or a build that will make it hard for them to lose me in a chase
Doesn't BBQ synergize poorly with his power?

@DelsKibara said:
It is relatively broken in a coordinated SWF
Because a SWF can basically tell each other what the Killer is doing with Object.
Not as broken as you might think. The occasional ghost face and wraith math up makes the perk not always good.

Lmao im no game designer and its unhealthy for you to think everyone ought to be one.

Your suggestion is "Kill the Killer." It's not specific at all.
Kill the killer with a machete?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1335474#Comment_1335474
It's not helpful is what I'm saying. You're not giving helpful suggestions.
It is because it's a specific feature that'd improve the game.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1335460#Comment_1335460
Then you're not really suggesting anything that would benefit the game. That's like me saying "Make Killers better."
And that's fine to say because it lets the devs know killers need to be better.

Just for the sake of arguement... how would they POSSIBLY pull this off? Who's gonna try surrounding Bubba without getting mowed over?
It should be nearly impossible to pull off.

I mean, only ways Killers can win is by killing Survivors. What does this do to alleviate repetition for the Killer?
Because he has to react and prevent survivors from killing him, which is something different.
-
@TheEntity03 said:
I feel like the Killers already want to die 🤣🤣🤣
Then survivors aren't the only ones who'd like this change.

@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1335356#Comment_1335356
Well, what is it about the game currently that would warrant changing it so Survivors can kill the Killer?
Repetition. Only way survivors can win is by doing generators and leaving.

It would require adding a plethora of new game mechanics as well, and that would be a lot of wasted game development time for something that many players probably wouldn't like. Survivors have never been able to ever really fight back in the game anyways so it doesn't make sense with its theme. The entity would most likely stop the survivors from fighting back in a significant way the second they tried it. It just seems like you'd have to invent a ton of new game mechanics that would probably not even fit the game.
Survivors have been able to fight back. What do you think pallet stunning is? Decisive strike where you stab the killer?

@Rydog said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1335387#Comment_1335387
Thank you, the question was rhetorical. You just answered it. If you can't conceptualize the idea or describe how it might work, isn't this a silly thing to discuss?
I've tried to point out why it would not be healthy for the game (it would fundamentally move every goalpost we currently have, and necessitate unforeseeable changes to so many other things), so now it is on you to form a counter-position that amounts to more than "that would be cool."
Oh, so you're a sophist. I get it.

@Desh said:

No they don't? Unless this is on Switch or something, that is completely false.
Yes they do in DBD mobile.
-
They already have AI that controls you when you DC.
-
@YaiPa said:
this is not a secondary objective, rather an alternative objective. It means that if survivors ######### up, they can still win, another in-game built-in second chance, the killer would be under even harder pressure than it's now... no thanks, it doesn't fit the game's theme either.
Only of you make it easier than doing gens. If you make it harder than just doing gens, it gives the killer better odds of winning against teams who go for it.
-
@Rydog said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1335369#Comment_1335369
How would this mechanic work, and what kinds of unforeseeable ripple effects do you suppose it would have, which would necessitate other myriad changes to who-knows-how-many mechanics?
Idk, I'm not a game designer. But you could make it harder than doing the gens so SWF who go for it actually make the killer have a higher chance of winning.

So because a streamer does it and hasn't been caught yet makes it legal?
Are you a fan of noob and ochendo? However his name is spelled.
They're well known for it, so if you're saying Behaviour doesn't know about it and would ban them if they did know about it, then Behaviour is kinda incompetent.
This is still kinda besides the point though because people use different desktop resolutions without even knowing it makes looping easier. Not all monitors have the same default resolution and some people prefer the look of "stretched" desktop resolutions.
-
@LordGlint said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1335324#Comment_1335324
Its tinkering with the gamefiles to give yourself a bigger FOV.
??? You don't change the game files. You change your desktop resolution.
The argument that it's an exploit is flawed from the start because people like having different desktop resolutions because of how it looks.

@Theetis said:
It wouldn't make sense lore-wise. In F13 there are like, eight 'survivors' if I'm not mistaken? They're all in the real world, and nothing is hindering them from fighting back, which is why they're even able to pull off the "kill Jason" stunt.
In the Entity's realm, it would be never possible. If any group of survivors tried to gang up on a killer, the killer would probably win without much effort, and if somehow the survivors would start overpowering him, the Entity itself would intervene.
Trust me, I would love to be able to murder any Spirit I see by crushing her head with Jane's thighs, or having Nea just perform a mori of her own, but it's just not gonna happen.
It fits with the lore because it's another thing that can give survivors hope, which the entity feeds on.

They were small balancing things, insofar as they essentially involved changing a number somewhere. A mechanic to KILL THE KILLER? That's a different game you're describing.
Again, something being a big change doesn't mean it shouldn't be a thing.
-
@Mister_xD said:
ya know, i thik DbD is as succesfull as it is because there is no way to "kill the killer".
F13 was an entirely different game with entirely different mechanics - and from what ive seen the killer bullying there was on a whole other level compared to DbDs...
i think such an ability would just end up encouraging toxicity, aswell as buffing SWF groups to be even stronger than they currently are, while solo groups would almost never be able to pull it off.
If it's more difficult than just doing the gens, then it's actually a buff for killer because SWF groups going for it are more likely to lose than if they just tried to escape.
-
@Rydog said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1335337#Comment_1335337
You're not talking about some small balancing thing, you're talking about a radical shift in how the objectives and game mechanics would work.
Friday the 13th was terminally broken, in part because of how easy it was for a halfway-coordinated group to completely shut down and 80% of the times straight-up kill Jason. Unless things have substantially changed with that game, it is not a hard thing to do.
Instant fast vaults and windows never being blocked being changed wasn't some small balance thing either. Shack was an infinite when it had two windows.
Something being a big change doesn't by itself make the change unwarranted like you imply.
-
Yeah this happens to VPNing killers sometimes.
You can unhook them in the basement and they'll teleport to the top too.
-
@tippy2k2 said:
No there shouldn't be
It's bad enough when you get the SWAT TEAM SWF group doing everything they can to make your life hell, wait until they can make your life hell AND then kill you just to rub it in your face.
That's not an issue related to my suggestion. It's an issue related to matchmaking.
-
@Rydog said:
Friday the 13th is an entirely different game with a radically different philosophy of the relationship between survivors and killer. It would not fit DBD at all.
Yeah and surv mains said removing instant flashlights and instant fast vaults would ruin the game, but it didn't.

Im pretty sure notqueen did mention it is considered exploiting and bannable. Someone linked it in a thread not too long ago.
Streamers/YouTubers who use it don't get banned nor punished, so it really isn't an exploit.

Because I don't want to answer it. You're exploiting, and I'm not supporting that.
It's not an exploit since it's allowed. If it were an exploit people like noob3 would be banned for using it, but they aren't.

If you let them get to you, you can close chat or disable messages on console.

@WRussoW said:
Delete the thread because stretched resolution has been admitted to be cheating.
If that were true many streamers ought to be banned. But they aren't banned so it isn't true.

Why should all or way more perks be viable? Nothing forces you to play with trash perks. Some perks are trash but are still fun to play with.
