I don't think it is sexual frustration, more likely showing dominance in their mind? But I don't really see that discussion being fruitful if continued down that road.
I don't want continue the discussion…it's no a game problem (or DBD problem) , but the "normalization" of a horrendous act (my opinion). Again, I am not a woman, but i understand their fear of living in this society.
please let's end the discussion here, whether you think I'm right or wrong
-
- the only thing I can't stand (besides slugging for no reason) is when the killer mimes "sexual acts" on the survivor on the floor... I don't understand how the T-bag is considered toxic, but dragging Thalita onto Badam's mattress is fun and "normal" (I'm a man)
-
- in my experience ALL killers have the same Pop + scourge hook perk combo. if the killer is high mobility (or they have something to throw) they have the aura vision perks (classic lethal + bbq or Nowhere to Hide). in short, apart from some exceptions (such as thanatophobia on Legion or Plague), even killers use a total of 15-20 perks
-
- I don't know your MMR... but when I meet a Blight I start praying "my God, let this Blight not be good with his power". Of course, when I encounter a mediocre/normal Blight, it's fun🤣 (I make the same prayer for Nurse)After 3,500 hours of DBD, I stopped thinking "wow, this blight is really good".
-
Nerfing "WoO" is like putting a tombstone on SoloQ. I don't think they ever will -
- the new buff killer policy....spam your power without worries
-
- are we already discussing how to nerf DS? I think the DS doesn't deactivate if you're healed due to instadown killers....maybe?
-
adrenaline was too strong in soloq, it absolutely needed to be nerfed🤣
-

Well, it's a perk so good that it's always used in semi-official tournaments. This perk is useless for people who only care about running away from the killer. In that case, please bring OTR. If you get hit right after being rescued, blame the person who rescued you because he's not good at it.
In competitive 10 seconds of additional chase due to the DS can really make the difference... in solo q or in any case with unorganized SWF, those 10 seconds really do nothing.
However, competitive DBD is a "Fantastic Beasts", I have seen the strangest and most improvable perks... like "solidarity", "leader", "lucky break", "Smash it". All decent perks but never OP or meta."Competitive" DBD is not suitable for balancing "normal" gameplay.
Apparently DS will be buffed, let's see what will change
-
Considering the new maps, the decrease in safe pallets and the powers of (many) killers.... Yes, we can say DS sucks. Read on paper it seems decent (especially if you are new to the game), and I admit some (rare) times it can help, but in general it sucks.
How do you explain that the WHOLE community complains about tunneling, but DS remains rarely used?🤣
Does a better job Off the Record (my opinion).
-
I'm 100% sure I played with a Devs (or at least a staff person) because he had a very strange player banner that I discovered was exclusive to Devs. Some will think "he was a cheater!" ... I don't think so because the game was "normal" and devs was the only one to die🤣
-
She is the classic example of "W game". I don't understand how killers hate "W game" survivors but find it fun to play her.
for me she is a "solid" killer... not the strongest but not the weakest either. Who knows how to use it well, it's really scary.
-
after 100 games with camping, slugging and tunneler killers.... it's their way of letting off steam (I guess)
in recent times toxic/bullying behavior on the part of killers is more common than survivors (my experience)
-
Today I saw a couple of Chucky (I played about 6 - 7 games). In my European server they are not at the level of Blight, Huntress and Wesker... but it is quite popular. we must also consider that there are 35 killers, in one day of gaming it is impossible to see them all (unless you are a streamer and are streaming a marathon 🤣)
-
If the challenge is "escape from trial WITH the invocation perk" that's fine😄
if the challenge is "escape from a trial USING the invocation perk" it's not good at all🤣
-
the problem is not "counterforce"... but counterforce along with 100 other niche/bad perks
some examples of niche perks:
- red herring
- self preservation
- cut close
- blood rush
- blood pact
- rookie spirit
- Visionary
the list could go on, but I'll stop here. Are they bad perks? No, in some niche builds they might work... but the time has come to wish for something better.
meta perks (apart from Off the record, Background Player , Deja vu and a hint of Flashbang) are still the same since 2017, it's not normal.
-
It is a VERY RARE event, (maybe it can happen 5 - 6 times in a year), but when I see a killer really in difficulty but despite everything he plays fairly (no camping - no tunneling).... I open the gates and I offer myself on the hook... I'm sure if 3 survivors escape and one is killed his MMR won't increase. however, some still refuse the offer.

yes thats true you are not obligated to help with the achievment but you also have no right to call it a hostage situation when you could have come out and die. from what i have seen to this point bhvr says its a hostage situation when the survivor has no own choice to do anything that ends the game. the survivor had a chance to end it.
both are supper betty and stubborn in that situation but this did not deseverd a ban. its a totally diffrent thing ofourse if its true that the ban was for harresment in chat like some people said
I had the same situation a couple of months ago. I was the last survivor against a Myers Tombstone. I was in a locker and Myers was camping outside. when the third crow arrived, Myers walked away for a few seconds, I reached a hill (Balance landing) and we started a 30 second chase... but when I almost reached the hatch... I died! GGWP Myers
both me and the killer were happy... this is normal gameplay (for me)
-
Killer knew where the survivor was... he could finish the game without any problems. Locker is the only counter move against tombstone. Maybe the survivor was hoping that Myers would move away for a few seconds and then have time to go to another loop.
Everyone talks about the "survivor rule book"... but in this case it seems like a "killer rule book" to me. I am not obligated to help with your "Tombstone Myers 4k"

People are gonna use perks they find fun regardless of what people think.
People want to win despite what people think is fun.
What an odd conundrum this perk is in, even after it got buffed to not be immediately casually wrecked by Surge. So sad, as it's easily Sablea most unique perk.
I am kinda surprised just how nonexistent the perk is. I see more non Botany Self Cares, not that that says a lot but hey
this perk isn't even fun. for me sitting on the ground for 2 minutes doing nothing is terribly boring (in the meantime the real game is outside)... but I don't judge anyone who finds this mechanic fun

If I were to tell you how I feel about SoloQ I would be behind bars.
As far as I'm concerned, for me you can be the worst survivor in the world, you can hide behind the rock and heal with self care, you can use No mither, you can stay hidden in the locker.... but don't use this invocation🤣
-
windows / balance landing / DH ( I consider "dead hard" an anti-tunnel perk)/ strength in the shadow (but I don't like this perk, I just use it to try something different... soon I will return to my LOVED Deja vu😍 )
I think I had 30/40% escapes this week (I didn't do an exact count). if I had used Deja vu I'm sure I would have escaped more often
-
okay, despite all the (right) opinions you wrote in the comments... it's still not normal to win 2000 consecutive games.
In no PvP game would this be considered "normal". someone said in shooting games it was possible for a professional player to win many games in a row against "casual gamers". Yes, he can win many games, but he will never win 2000 in a row. I follow some competitive Fortnite players and this could never happen
-
I swear, I really swear, during PTB there were killers saying this perk was OP🤣
-
It's clear that making a statement like that means you're new to the game.
There are some """"perk"""" for survivors that are literally a joke. some examples:
- Teamwork: Collective Stealth
- Corrective Action
- Pharmacy
- Poised
- Rookie Spirit
- Teamwork: Power of Two
- Blood rush
- Deadline
- Boon: illumination
- Invocation... spiders something
The list could go on, but I'll stop here. Of course, killer also has horrendous perks, but they don't even come close to the uselessness of those of the survivors. What's the difference? Some killer perks are just bad... some of the surv ones make the game difficult for those who use them and (some) even for the team. Or some surv perks are so situational that you could play 50 games and never get value from them. Or some surv perks are a "weak" version of existing perks
It's more accurate to say "many DBD perks (killers and survivors) are really bad."
-
in my opinion this perk is worse than "deadline". Why? Deadline does almost nothing, it just makes the game difficult for those who use it... invocation on the other hand makes the game difficult for everyone.🤣 GG Devs
Apologies to "potential energy"... I've always considered it a bad perk, but seeing the new perks... "Potential Energy" is literally GOD TIER 🤣

I literally don't see many vitttorios either. Not even his recent skin I only seen 1 person wear it. And not many people like vittorio that much.
But we all know why this is happening. And like you said, they are a company. But it still doesn't change the fact that they know what they are doing and it doesn't look good on them for doing this. They are literally setting up their PoC characters to fail. And that bothers me. Of course a character will be forgotten if you don't give them a fair enough # of skins and you leave them to rot on their debut
yes, the "Vittorios" are not very popular, but they definitely are more than Haddie and definitely have more money to spend on skins (in my experience). 🤣 I've been seeing a lot of "shirtless Jonah" lately.
-
I would like to remind you that BHVR is not a charity, but a normal company.
Haddie, despite the good number of skins, continues to not be used by anyone... and the few haddies I see in game are always with the default skin or the old rift skin or the Christmas sweater. Many Vittorios in my lobbies have skins from the shop... in short, the sales of "shirtless vittorio" pay the developers to make skins that are not purchased by anyone. If you want to support a character... buy his skins!!!
-
Yes, I'm a DLC collector. I also buy the chapters I don't like.... Alan Wake, I'm talking to you🤨
-
I predict the future...
Strength in the shadow will be nerfed around September/October 2024
Invocation will not be used by anyone (other than content creators for funny videos).
Wicked is the classic perk for "roulette perk". However, I like that it can help against tunneling
My crystal ball can't predict the future of Unknown.... I am sorry 🤣
-
In this forum I understood a very specific concept. Anything bad in this game is always and exclusively the fault of the survivors. The killers are poor victims, so good and aware of everything. 🤣
-
I think it's the survivors' fault... this is an obvious flaw in the game but I see people rarely complain about it. Killers are much better at complaining about faulty mechanics. This problem should have been solved years ago.
do as Overcharge....problem solved! 🤣
-
I saw on YT win streaks with any killer (just type Killer name + win streaks).
I also saw one Trapper win streaks with no addons, no traps, no tunnels and no camping by V1rtual_Reality, but it was a Live on Twitch. I don't know if this content creator has a YT channel. It was very difficult, but he won 9 games in a row (if I remember correctly). Of course this proves nothing, but an experienced killer (V1rtual_Reality is a comp player) can dominate a good team in almost any situation. I don't think this guy is in a low MMR. He did this challenge because he wanted to prove killers can win without camping, without meta perks and without tunneling (in a normal non-competitive game).
This guy also has a "survivor" win streak with his premade but he never comes close to the crazy numbers we see on killers...all it takes is a nurse or blight with the right addons and perks to destroy his comp-team🤣
Maybe if Blight and Nurse didn't exist, we'd see some truly impressive survivor win streaks

Has there been any word of any changes to this perk? The way it is now, only really good SWF can make any use of it without dooming their teammates. In SoloQ it’ll be a free killer perk.
Can the Broken status be removed? Or at least give it a 60/90sec duration rather than making it permanent? There’s enough risk with having to go to the basement and spend forever in casting the invocation, there’s no need for more.
Even without the "broken" effect, this perk is terrible (for me).
-
DH, Windows, Balance landing and Deja vu.
If I find many tunnelers.... I remove Deja vu and put DS
-
my favorite is Zarina, she has an interesting personal story and she is a beautiful girl (but she is an unconventional beauty).
I don't admire or romanticize any girl killer... perhaps the most interesting personal story is Hag's.
the silliest/stupidest personal story is Adriana's, maybe I would go and eat a pizza with her for a laugh🤣
-
I'm neutral, I don't think positively or negatively about the surviving role. But in recent times I have seen a lot of dissatisfied people (even content creators), it seems to me that I have gone back to the years when it was the main killers who were constantly complaining 🤣
In recent months many of my friends have abandoned the game, now I play Solo q often. Solo q is like "box of chocolates"... you never know what you're gonna get. 🤣
If I were a dev, I would buff DS and Off the record... because tunneling is actually crazy (this would be my only change)
-
you're destroying Survs with 4 generators left...exactly what are you complaining about? All maps (almost) have a strong loop, but you're proving you can still win easily. did you want to kill everyone with 5 gen left?🤣
-
I thought of these perks to counter tunneling, to """"""counter"""""" scourge hooks (ALL SCOURGE HOOK EFFECTS HOWEVER REMAIN UNAFFECTED), and to make some interesting strategic plays. I thought strong effects because for the survivor it is a big risk, a waste of time and because the killer can avoid these hooks.
General mechanics of the "Blessed Hook"
Press and hold the Active Ability button on a Hook to bless it and create a Blessed Hook. Animation to bless a hook lasts 32/28/24 seconds.
A blue aura of blessed hooks will be visible to everyone, including the killer.
A hook can be both a "scourge hook" and a "blessed hood" at the same time.
A blessed hook cannot be sabotaged.
You can only have one blessed hook in the entire game, and it can never be changed. (4 surv for max 4 blessed hook in a game ... like scourge hook)
If a survivor is sacrificed in a blessed hook, the perk will be deactivated for the rest of the game.
If one survivor has multiple "blessed hook" perks... all perks will go into one hook (like boon totem)
Blessed Hook: Easy suture ----> Increases Altruistic Healing speed by 100 % to the survivor dropped from the blessed hook. When this survivor is completely healed, the perk is deactivated
Blessed hook: Silent crying ----> Reduces the volume of Grunts of Pain by 100% of the survivor saved by the blessed hook. When this survivor is healed, the perk is deactivated.
Blessed hook: Ghost essence ----> it is impossible for the killer to read aura of the survivor saved by this blessed hook. This survivor also represses his urge to scream. When this survivor is completely healed, the perk is deactivated.
Blessed hook: Phoenix blood ----> The survivor released from this blessed hook has "Unbreakable". If the survivor is healed or uses his "hook unbreakable" ,the perk is deactivated.
Blessed hook: Patience ----> automatic "rebecca's reassurance"
Blessed Hook: Brittle metal ----> After unhooking a survivor, the blessed hook will break for 180 seconds
NOTE: blessed hook is a really "lazy" name, but I used this to give an idea"easy to understand"
-
deadline... I can't believe anyone on the development team thought "ok, this will be a good perk"
scourge hook: hangman's trick... even though it's been reworked, it's still terrible
-
deja vu... this perk is also useful when you can't do gen and you are in chase. Why? You direct your chase away from the gen
this perk is simply amazing
-
maybe Hag. Competent Hags are really scary🤣
I'm surprised to read that someone wants Huntress because she's "rare". On my European server they are very common.
-
After finding out what "deadline" works for, I didn't think it was possible to make an even more bad perk. But Devs and Weaving Spiders showed me that even worse a perks can be made. I would use "Weaving Spiders" only if my "invocation" eliminated this perk from the game forever🤣
-

Genuine question.
No maps being changed for survivors.
No meaningful perk buffs coming.
No new mechanics that benefit survivors.
No limited game-modes or events that are beneficial to survivors.
No solo-queue changes.
Seems like the only thing survivors can get excited about are skins these days.
If I'm wrong please correct me. But being a survivor main is rough.
How are we feeling about the role?
Relax, tomorrow we will have a new survivor with 3 amazing perks... don't complain! 🤣
-
I agree with your "please don't be good with your power" 😂
I have "fun game" with everyone except pinhead (in solo q)
"DC button looking nice" with trickster, twins and dredge
Lady Merchant is in my Lady Merchant category 🤣
-
@HastuneMiku said:
Pig: Spam your traps and... oh wait. Nope.
Pig is OP 😎
-
OK guys, our lady isn't the strongest killer, but she's nowhere near the weakest. for me it is the strongest M1 killer in the game. She has everything in her basic kit: haste, zoning, a little trigen (not as strong as before), a little tracking, a little stealth, interacting against her power brings no benefit, she can hit even without seeing you (like The Plague)...
I see that many say that it is really very easy to counter her. It is true, if our lady is not expert with her power... but if she is capable, there is not much you can do to counter her.
I'm not saying Devs should nerf her (I remind you Nurse exists in this game)... but Adriana is much more than a simple M1 killer.
-
Because survivors try not to lose pips because you have to talk on the phone... that's why.🤣
in games like this even survivors lose pips (not just killers)
-
Deja vu, Balance landing , DH , windows of opportunity
But my true love is Balance landing, the other 3 change almost every day
My favorite perks: kindred, wiretap , blast mine, flashbang, head on + quick & quiet, plot twist, adrenaline, saboteur + breakout, inner strength, we'll make it
My favorite meme build: plunderer's instinct + appraisal + ace in the hole
My favorite meme perk: red herring 🤣

Sorry what are we talking about?
Numbers have been stable at 30'000 since November 2022, with a jump around the Twisted Masquerade in June 2023.
Not that I want to insult anyone... but a lot of stuff in this thread sounds a lot like misinformation to push some kind of agenda.
sorry, but did you read the whole text or did you stop at the title?
