By that logic why should OTR deactivate at the end game just cause survivors did there objective?
That's not a fair comparison.
Otr only deactivates at end game while ruin doesn't function either at end game, the hex can be cleansed, and it has the condition that a survivor can die for it to stay. OTR only has endgame to deactivate

I feel like your team should be given a good amount of BPs for you using it at least

I've been doing well with scratched mirror. Lots of 4ks
-
Man I miss old and old old hex ruin when they were actually worth running...it's too weak now
-
I'm cool with depicting existing, but there should better conditions for it. Depicting because a teammate quit first 2 minutes of the game and dandbagging you is awful
-
People dcing also really hurts your chances of pipping unfortunately. Dcing players cab greatly screw over the killers scores and emblems

Distortion, lithe, prove thyself, and alert

I like it a lot playing on either side. One of my favorites honestly.

Yeah I'd like hexes to get some love too. Feels like they're so safe with some of them when they shouldn't be since..they're hexes. I also find it kind of weird that we have so many non traditional hexes that have kinda taken the spotlight from normal ones. Like hexes that protect others such as undying, retribution, haunted ground and thrill, and also just some weird ones like noed plaything and face the darkness. I'd like to see ordinary hexes like third seal crowd control huntress lullaby and whatnot be more preferable to those weird or protective ones compared to how much they are currently
Yeah i agree with that. It would be nice if the lesser strong hexes could still be worthwhile options

It's maybe not necessary now that there isn't really any op boons, but imo I think this on top of buffing boons (at least the 3 worst ones) would be the way to go. Even when it's something meh like shadow step or exponential, it's still just kinda annoying that snuffing boons feels somewhat worthless very often, since it can just be relit again. I think boons would just be more fun in general if they were like actually crazy strong but also more risky. Like if shadow step suppressed more than just scratch marks and auras or if exponential brought you back to healthy after recovering or if dark theory gave way more haste. I just think stuff like that would be really fun but also (maybe) balanced if SH was basekit
Yeah I could agree with that. I'd love for boons to be better (most hexes too honestly) but there should be a penalty or some sort of meaningful counter to boons other than snuffing it out which does feel pointless. I Luke the idea of boons though. They need some love

I typically try to help my team also escape, but I do agree there should be better compensation for helping your team live at the cost of yourself losing.

That's fair. Though we're gonna be a pain and point out the obvious of they would just do the gen then hide (sorta already do that from what we've seen. They do all of 1 gen then f off somewhere or play normal till there's 2 left, theeeen f off).
Haha yeah thats also true. I'd be more okay with it rather than what it currently is though
-
@Rulebreaker said:
To be fair, you can't blame the perks for how a survivor plays. Some would probably do the same thing again even without those types of perks.
Yeah I think that's very true. I do think these types of perks encourage it more so though. I'd be into them existing if there were some conditions (like must complete a generator in the match) to avoid sandbagging

Generally I'm fine being willing to distract the killer so some randoms could survive but I agree there should he some sort of compensation saying it
There are also times you being altruistic to random players can really screw you over. Today I had a game where I unhooked each teammate at least once and healed some of them. One got hooked right before I finished the gate. I 99% the gate, went and unhooked them and was downed. The person i unhooked last opened the gate and ran out and the other two full health teammates left with him
It's frustrating and not exactly the same situation as you, but I get more irritated when I'm being altruistic and get nothing from it
Actually another thing i think I'd like addressed more than tunneling or camping is to have your score impacted if you did something to get your teammate killed (and if it happened to you).
Today I had a teammate lead the killer to me intentionally when it was sustained us two left. I had saved that person previously, healed them, etc but they had the killed down me and had me die on first hook. The killer messaged me afterwards and agreed it was messed up. I wish there was some sort of compensation for these types of situations (which I know isn't necessarily realistic)

Myers I'd be into having mote sddons that do things similar to the mirrors. Something that is good but not nearly as good as tombstone

I mentioned it during the ptb and Mandy said the want to remove bp bonuses so people don't feel like they need to run certain things. So yeah, they're likely gone for good.
Yeah I feel mixed on...on the one hand I get not wanting to do that but in the other I like the option

They even removed the bp bonus from the needle and suture addons for medkits. I loved those addons but they're not worth running now. Truly sad times.
Yeah...i hope they change them back at some point but I just dont see it happening:/

I can't take any killer who thinks gens are flying seriously. Their tears made gens take 90 seconds, we just come from a meta in which killers would hold matches hostage for 40 minutes through gen regression perks. How can an objective "fly" when it takes a minute and a half to be finished?
It's much faster than that with perks, items, etc.
Killers can still say gens are flying whole also agreeing that overbrine was way too much

I’m sorry when I say this, and this isn’t directed towards you, but the survivors you’re going against are babies.
just from the first 2 minutes of the game starting:
~ Ash standing at the killer shack pallet instead of looping it (which it’s a safe loop)
~ At the Z wall, you didn’t even have to mind game and he automatically vaulted towards you.
~ pre dropped a pallet and got stuck on the bush
~ and while you were checking the outskirts and chasing the ash, it was about 2 minutes and not a single gen was done.
Oh yeah these weren't solid survivors by any means. This isn't one of my better games as well. Yeah the survivors didn't play optimally for sure. I know none of this is really about me and about the potatoes I massacred haha
-
Well...seems like you don't like the game.
-
Map offerings aren't THAT bad. If you are playing a killer who struggles on certain types of maps it makes sense to bring on.
Survivor I don't feel like I lose because of the map ever. Normally it's potato teammates
-
Scratched mirror myers is probably my most consistent 4k killer that I actually like using. I wish there was more available to build around it besides boyfriends memo
-
Scourge hooks , boons, and hexes would be great time have buffed in general
-
They have different uses but I like lethal more since it has ongoing use in most of my builds. They both have a place though.
-
I've always just found them odd that it's so much of a game changer than most of the other survivor addons. I'm into having similarly distinct addons for other items but BNP could benefit with being scaled back a bit
-
I think killer addons need more drops in bloodweb. I can run around as a survivor without an item just fine. Playing killer without addons (most of the time) is way harder. Bloodqeb should give 2 or 3 of an addon in bloodweb for killers. So expensive compared to survivor to run lol
-
I'm all for being able to leave but there should be a solution that doesn't screw your team over like it does (add bots? Add BP bonuses? Etc?)
-
I think both exist.
Survivors feel less safe since self healing is weaker. They can't be as careless like they were before.
Killers don't feel like they can stop gens as well so they result to trying to kill more effectively.
-
Skull merchant is both boring to play as and against

Then I'll correct myself. It's impossible if the killer uses their brain
Well, like I said before. Play more killer and you'll see that killers aren't given free kills and these are easily counterable (outside of bubba).
-
You can still have excellent chases without DH. Here's a game I played not too long ago without DH and did very well with chases still being interesting.

I really would love to seem some gameplay clips of your matches. You make these matches sound so easy, I just wanna see how it goes in your games
I'm sure pulsar is a better than me on both ends but I can still see why someone would say killer feels easier. I just played this game as dredge and only played him one other time and secured a 4k. I made a lot of mistakes but playing other killers still helped me with this.
https://youtu.be/ZLJqGRpal1EAlthough survivor can also feel pretty easy as well. I played this game not too long ago before the patch. Made some mistakes but largely it went well.

It's been fairly easier, unfortunately.
PR is REALLY good. No Way Out is practically a free win.
I've seen a couple of CoH. They haven't really been an issue for me, which is pretty much what I thought. I haven't seen any successful DH's yet.
Survivor has become a bit more miserable for me. Less healing autonomy so I have to rely on my teammates more, which is never a good thing lol
Yeah I feel torn on the healing piece. On the one hand I think it's good people can't just heal by themselves over and over pretty fast but on the other hand I don't like that teammates rarely are willing to work together effectively in solo play.
-
Dcing and suicidng on hook really need to be changed up. I hate playing as survivor and in doomed to depip because a player quits right away.

So for comparison. Say you got a pop per gen and each gen was at 89 charges 20% of current
89x.2=17.8 (dbd rounds down)
17x5=85 charges.
Pain res if pop was any lower than 89 charges we were using for comparison (which it goes down like a rock because of current) 3 hooks would beat it out.
But we'll do the whole 12 hooks for a fun thing to.
89x.2=17
17x12=204 max charges that pop can remove in a given game.
2x as much as pain res with 4 hooks. (Feel free to fix math if i messed up somewhere) but yes rng with scourges can be a factor ofc. Personally i always get the 4 eventually. It has some value i feel depending on what ya run with it. Pop just doesn't seem to hold up much anymore.
Yeah pop is much less good nowadays (I honestly forgot about the change to pop). Really I don't see myself using much gen regression aside from merciless storm. I kinda view the pain res change as a slight nerf due to it being limited use. I'd love for scourge hooks to become more of a thing (along with other niche types of perks like boons or hexes aside from the small couple outliers).

Well don't forget pop and pain res are different now. Pain res is 25% of total progress. Pop is 20% of current. So youll never get even close to pain res because of current vs total. If a gens at 40 charges itll take off 8 charges. While pain res will take 25.
Oh yeah I forgot the pop change. Qell, either way I don't see the value of pain resonance much tbh

Hard disagree. If you manage to down 1st person before 1st gen pops, you delay first popping significantly. Chances are you will be able to repeat it again - and that is huge - survivors will now waste a lot of time on healing, unhooking and chasing. It's possible you will get 1 out by 3 gens left without any tunnel (going for 9hook for 1st one out) - because your start of the game went so well (provided you don't screw up now).
Don't get me wrong. This is still nerf to the version before this patch. But saying the perk is now useless is... About as true as saying new corrupt (the version after 6.1) is now useless. That's just not true. And you will see it in usage rate. PR did not get the nerf CoB or OC got. It's still very good
To be clear, I'm not saying it's useless. I'm saying it's not a great option. Yes it can work but I personally prefer perks with consistency rather than situational ones that can be amazing in certain circumstances(just kinda my overall attitude in games in general).
I'd rather run something like Pop goes the weasel where I can get several triggers with much less conditions in place. With pop I know I can get 20% regression several times over in a game while pain resonance I get one shot on each survivor on specific hooks hoping that I hook when a gen has 25% progress completed. The 5% difference (and without a kick) doesn't feel worth it to me at least when I can control what gens get regressed and I can trigger it several times over
-
I had a game today where the killer swung behind me (facing the opposite direction of where i was) and the hit triggered, so yes I agree something is off
-
Pain res is not a good option tbh. Too situational. I'd rather have a weaker reduction that's more consistently guaranteed (say 10% or 15%) than a maybe 25% if conditions are just right with getting the right survivors at the right time at the right hooks. There are too many conditions on it to be worth it imo. Knock it down to lower return but allow more opportunities to trigger (not just 1st hook).
I do think the killer gameplay does feel more forced to play mean and less gen defensive. I think it's still winnable on either side but I think the gameplay feels like there is less variety to choose from:/
